Unfortunately my first review is gone. It wasn't served until it was called several times. Table reservation went completely wrong. We were given a bench instead of our table and no attention was paid to it. When the food arrived it was bland, the salad plate had a layer of lettuce with some balsamic vinegar in the bowl. The meal 26 euros. Fried to death, given back, brought back to death followed by a discussion with the chef about how to fry English or medium rare. Of the finest. No discount no excuse not again. You rarely experience something like that.

In a nutshell... Not particularly, at least when you look at the prices listed on the menu, it's more than outrageous. Reserved a table on Saturday evening. This was then relatively quickly in the entrance area. Well, the food could make up for it... First up was a "generous" side salad. This consisted of ONE slice of tomato, a slice of cucumber, a slice of mushroom, a small handful of greens and a fairly watery sauce. Ole, it's getting off to a good start. Let's continue with the main course. The food came and I had to ask again whether I had ordered a senior plate. There was ridiculously little on the plate! The taste of the food was OK, but the portions... No thanks. You can't leave the restaurant hungrier than when you came in. What can you say? The last time we ate there was about 7 years ago... The next visit, if at all, will be in the far, far, far future.

What charming restaurant with fabulous staff delighting ones palettes with Greek cuisine. I had the succulent lamb with potato’s and over the moon with the food. Plus a free ouzo when receiving my table. Wunderbar! Please visit if in the area.

Reserving a table doesn't work at all, we were seated in a narrow corner with 7 people, not made for older people. Then you had to call the waitress that you wanted to drink (after we were at the table 15 minutes later) even then it took another 15 minutes. Ordering to eat was also an experience in itself. After 40 minutes we were finally allowed to order and then after another 45 minutes we received small portions and 2 dishes were served incorrectly, then the meat was not seared as requested, so we went back. 2nd attempt didn't work again, the cook then said that he had to throw the first one away and he only did it for 1 minute per side. But he didn't understand that it was almost cooked through again and just ran away. Profession doesn't seem to be a strength. It's a shame, expensive food and then such a big disappointment. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

Important: The table would be reserved a month in advance. The presentation and visual flair were very inviting in this restaurant, unfortunately the staff seemed to be overwhelmed and didn't seem particularly friendly. Unfortunately, the food was a real disappointment considering the hefty prices. It was edible, but the presentation of the food as well as the quantity was really disappointing. Overall, this experience was something that showed me that Christmas should not be chosen at this restaurant. I can well imagine that the quality is better outside of the holidays, but other people will have to judge that. ;) It's a shame, it was promising.

Went there for the first time yesterday and were really impressed. Service 1A Ambiance was completely ok The food was really very tasty, just a little too little on the plate so a point was deducted.

Dined here on a thursday night. Looking for a place to get something to eat on a rather late hour, we entered here. Although it was 10pm, this wasn't any problem. People were most friendly and helpfull. Food itself was simple but very tasty. Not the huge amount of greasy meat you sometimes get in these places, but just 'real' and tastefull. Greek wine to accompany the food. Left with a very modest bill (+/-60€ for a bottle of red, two starters and two mains, that's really a bargain), a full stomac and a smile on my face. Although that might have been the ouzo :-). I recommend!

Actually always good, that's why it's almost always full. Nothing runs on weekends without a pre-order. Then things can get a bit hectic. The quality and selection of the dishes are top. Price/performance ratio is OK.

The location with the large parking lot nearby is a clear advantage. The restaurant seemed clean and tidy, the service was friendly, but later in the evening it became difficult to speak to anyone. If you order a normal portion and not a senior plate, you can actually assume that you don't necessarily have to order a starter and side dishes with a main course in order to be full. The salad was more than clear, 1 slice of cucumber - slice of tomato - slice of champion and a little iceberg lettuce. The portion of the "Rhodes plate" with meat and There was also a small stuffed potato, which was very unusually little on the plate for a Greek restaurant. The impression was also confirmed with the Stifado dish with only sauce and onions and no side dishes. The price-performance ratio was very disappointing, expectations were not met and another visit is a long way off. Too bad.

The price-quality ratio is completely crap... Frozen meats of poor quality as if bought from a supermarket, pre-fried potatoes and small quantities and nothing special.. you ask for saganaki, they give you fried white cheese breaded... and very expensive as if you eat in a Gourmet restaurant... not even outside next time!

Table reserved at 5 p.m. Name was then found, but initially no table was available. After 30 minutes you can order. After 90 minutes, people asked again stupidly which side dishes should go with what, and the food would then be ready in 5-10 minutes. After this time a waitress came again and said that the chicken breast fillet we had ordered was not there. Then they leave the store. If you have tens of hours to spare - highly recommended.........

The food was delicious, especially the garlic potatoes. However, I would have liked the ice cream with hot raspberries to be served on a bowl or plate instead of a tulip-shaped glass. Visually not appealing and the eye is azch with it. Service was attentive but also very loud, which probably has to be the case given the volume in the restaurant in order to accept inquiries and orders. The volume in the restaurant was so loud that it was impossible to have a conversation in a normal voice at the table. Ambience rustic, dark. This restaurant is too loud for me. I can't give a recommendation.

The welcome drink is not necessarily for everyone. When it comes to criticism, you don't try to smooth things over. Too bad.

Waited for an hour and a half and then were served with lies, waiters said they had forgotten the side dishes and then came back after 5 minutes and hadn't even served the food let alone told us anything about it. Never eat there again because you have too much time in your life and don't want to wait 90 minutes for anything.

We ate at “Nostalgia” with three people on October 6th, 2024. I had the veal liver with fried onions, with a side dish of French fries instead of rice. The veal liver was very tasty and tender, the fried onions were great. The portion was a normal size, EXCEPT the French fries☝🏼 WHY the hell 😈 do restaurants skimp on such a cheap side dish like French fries, especially since the prices are already pretty high??? I had also ordered an extra portion of French fries for €3 and normally both would be together, so the fries on the main course + the additional portion🍟French fries would be a normal side dish portion‼️‼️ It was the same game with my fellow guests... always too little side dish☝🏼 If French fries 🍟 were an expensive side dish, I could understand a certain frugality, but they aren't ‼️ In other restaurants it's now the same game🫤 If the price/performance ratio in restaurants is no longer right, I will eat out less in the future and treat myself to better, i.e. higher quality, food at home.

We have always been happy with the food, and occasionally we have ordered and picked up something, but there is no delivery service. Online reservation possible, reservation required in my opinion on weekends.

The salad was the crowning glory!!! 1 slice of cucumber 1 small thin slice of tomato 1 slice of mushroom Filled with 1 tablespoon of iceberg lettuce that wasn't enough Maybe consider adjusting the portion again. Been back for a while now. I also know the portion differently.

The portions are getting smaller and smaller and you are now saving on the ouzo??

Five of us were seated without a reservation and were served very friendly. Even when the restaurant became full, there was no noticeable stress among the staff. It is completely normal that it takes a few minutes longer. The portions could actually be a little larger, but this saves you the food coma that usually occurs after Greek food.

My wife and I have been visiting the Nostalgia restaurant regularly for over ten years, often accompanied by our extended family. We were always impressed by the hospitality and the quality of the food. But yesterday we experienced a catastrophe. We were simply ignored. My wife and I had reserved a table for 7 p.m. After 30 minutes and repeated requests, we were finally able to order drinks. When these were served after another 15 minutes and we wanted to place our food order after 45 minutes, the evening reached its lowest point. We were told that we would have to wait to order because there were other guests. We were asked when we had made our reservation and were told that long waiting times were to be expected for short-term reservations. The waitress, who seemed very rude and overwhelmed, said literally: “You only need patient guests, we can't use impatient guests.” And that after ten years of loyal customers.

There were four of us and apart from one two small things we were very satisfied. We were greeted with an ouzo and an order for drinks. The starters arrived quickly and tasted good. There were tzatziki and florinis. The side salad (we didn't like the dressing) and the main course took a while to arrive, but tasted perfectly fine. Souflaki, gyros gratinated and biftiki gratinated. Starters, main courses and drinks totaled €115. The price is perfectly fine for 4 adults. Staff very attentive and accommodating (extra requests when ordering were implemented immediately) Noise not quite as nice as well as the parking situation. But all in all we'll be back.

I was always very impressed by the good cuisine at Nostalgia. Unfortunately I have to say that I recently had to endure a disappointment. Smaller portions, increased prices... double slap!!! Thanks, that was the last time. There are other good Greeks in the area.

This is a really, really good Greek restaurant. The location is more reminiscent of a typical German inn (it certainly used to be) but the service and food make up for it. The waitresses are extremely attentive and very quick. Requests are implemented quickly and without discussions. The food is traditional Greek and really really good. The portions are normal size. Not the mountains you usually get. Simply sufficient and totally delicious.

We landed here by chance at around 5pm. The restaurant was relatively empty, we were greeted warmly and seated. The drinks were picked up and served quickly. You have to wait a bit for the food, especially between the starter and the main course, But the food is very good. The meat is well prepared, the fries and garlic potatoes are really tasty, the salad has a nice dressing. The prices are relatively high, but still ok. An ouzo to greet you and one to say goodbye 🤗 Overall a very nice visit, I think we'll be back.. 😎

Am Ortsrand von Traar, ein relativ großes Restaurant. Durchgehend SEHR freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. An Freitagabend voll besetzt, dadurch extrem laut und schwierig, mit den anderen Gästen am Tisch entspannt zu kommunizieren. Wartezeit auf Essen und Getränke völlig in Ordnung, trotz dem regen Betrieb (ich kann hier die negativen Bewertungen nicht bestätigen). Qualität des Essens: durchweg in Ordnung, Beilagensalate frisch, aber etwas langweilig. Gekochte Eier auf dem Vorspeisenteller hab ich weder in Griechenland noch bei der Konkurrenz in Deutschland gesehen, bräuchte ich auch nicht noch mal. Quantität des Essens: ja, die Portionen sind, verglichen mit anderen kleiner, teilweise DEUTLICH kleiner. Allerdings zum vergleichbaren Preis der Konkurrenz , damit kann ich verstehen, dass der ein oder andere das bemängelt. Ob das vor einiger Zeit hier anders war und dem allgemeinen Preisanstieg geschuldet ist kann ich nicht beurteilen. Sicher ist man in Deutschland "beim Griechen" immer Mengen an Fleisch auf dem Teller gewohnt, aber pure Masse ist nicht immer alles, oft wird einem echter Fraß vorgesetzt, ich kann da ein Lied von singen... Hier war die Qualität jedoch in Ordnung. In Verbindung mit den Vorspeisen bin ich jedoch auch satt geworden 👍 Fazit: mein erster Besuch hier, im Vergleich mit vielen anderen Mitbewerbern hier schon im oberen Viertel. Sicherlich werden wir hier in Zukunft noch einmal essen gehen. Noch einmal Lob an das freundliche und zugewandte Personal!!

Wie hatten einen wunderschönen Abend mit sehr netten Kellern und einen phantastischen essen

Unser absoluter Lieblingsgrieche. Ein nicht so riesengroßes Restaurant. Leider geht hier ohne Reservierung nicht viel. Die Atmosphäre ist schick, aber hat griechischen Charme, die Atmosphäre ist freundlich, ich würde fast sagen familiär und das Essen ist geschmacklich sehr gut.

Lange Wartezeiten auf Getränke und um überhaupt Essen zu bestellen. Wir wollten bestellen und wurden „auf gleich kommt jemand“ vertröstet. Essen war lecker, Personal war nett.

Ambiente einfach, Das Essen Durchschnitt. Der Service absolut schlecht. Vom betreten des Lokal und der Aufnahme einer Getränke Bestellung verging eine halbe Stunde. Das Servieren dauerte ebenfalls 25 Minuten. Gut das ich eine große Flasche Wasser bestellt habe. Danach wurde nicht mehr gefragt ob man was zu trinken möchte. Bei der Bestellung zum Essen ließ man sich nochmal eine halbe Stunde Zeit diese aufzunehmen. Erst nach Anforderung durch uns kam endlich jemand. Bis dann brauchte das Personal nochmal fast 1 Stunde um zu servieren. Dafür waren die Teller sehr übersichtlich gehalten. Die Pommes ungehalten und der Spieß flach gewürzt. Der Beilagen Salat schwamm in Essig bestand aus 5 Blättern etwas Paprika und Zwiebeln. Der Zasiki war nur Quark ohne viel Geschmack, es fehlten Knoblauch und Gurken darin. Alles absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

Zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant gewesen. Das Essen war eigentlich ganz in Ordnung. Wir saßen im Zelt, dass komplett geschlossen war. Leider wurde hier dann das Rauchverbot nicht beachtet. Immer wieder wurden an unterschiedlichen Nachbartischen Zigaretten angezündet. Auch als später das Essen serviert wurde, wurde munter weiter geraucht. Im geschlossenen Raum ist das in NRW nicht erlaubt! Hätten wir das gewusst, wären wir woanders hingegangen. Essen war nicht außergewöhnlich gut, aber in Ordnung. Die Portionen waren für den Preis etwas klein. Der Service war gut.

Leider sehr lange Wartezeit bis man überhaupt bestellen konnte (30 Minuten), zu wenige Service Kräfte, nur teilweise freundlich. Weitere Getränke gab es nur auf mehrfache Bitte und Erinnerung. Vorspeisen Teller warm lohnt sich nicht, sehr lieblos angerichtet. Hauptspeise dann ca. 1h nach Bestellung erhalten, Gyros nicht knusprig, Portionen überschaulich aber mit Vorspeise noch in Ordnung. Da gibt es bessere...

Wir waren zu Zweit und haben mehr als 1Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet. Für ein einfaches Essen dauert das einfach zu lange.Eine kalte Vorspeise ging allerdings schnell. Den Salat ,der zum Essen gehört, kam auch schon lange vorher. Von daher 👎

Das Essen dort ist sehr gut. Preisleistung auch gut. Einziger Mangel ohne Reservierung schwer einen Tisch zu bekommen, also mal spontan dort essen ist nicht, aber das spricht natürlich für sich.

Hier habe ich das beste Gyros gegessen was ich je gegessen habe.

Ich mag das Restaurant eigentlich sehr, es ist aber nicht mein Stammrestaurant. Dennoch bin ich mehrmals im Jahr dort. Heute wurde ich aber komisch behandelt. Der Service war einfach nicht gut, zu meinem Salat kein Brot, erst auf Nachfrage, die Kalamari meiner Frau waren nicht wie sonst, was mich aber am meisten gestört hat war der Service einfach nicht aufmerksam, Bierchen stand lange leer aufm Tisch. Zur Rechnung wurden alle anderen Gäste nach nem Ouzo gefragt, bei uns mit 4 Personen nix. Ich hätte mir im Nachhinein die 10€ Tip sparen sollen.

Eher rustikales Ambiente, sehr freundliches Personal, wir wurden erstmal mit einem Ouzo begrüßt. Leider mussten wir lange warten, alle waren entsprechend hungrig. Eins der Kinder-Gerichte kam falsch, kann passieren. Aber dann wurde es wieder mitgenommen und erstmal tat sich nichts, ein No-Go ein einzelnes Kind ohne Essen und Info wann etwas kommt sitzen zu lassen, während die anderen schon essen. Auf Anfrage kamen dann zumindest schon mal Pommes für unseren Sohn, der Rest wurde nach einer Weile nachgeliefert. Mein Mann hatte ein Fischgericht, das war wirklich nicht zu empfehlen. Quadratisch, frittiert, offensichtlich Tiefkühlfisch, das hatten wir nicht erwartet. Insgesamt ist der Geschmack leider höchstens durchschnittlich. Mein Sohn und ich hatten nach dem Gyros allerdings starke Bauchschmerzen und Verdauungsbeschwerden… Wir werden leider nicht noch einmal hingehen.

Essen war ok aber viel zu klein, lieblos angerichtet. Hauptgericht war ein kleiner Kinderteller. Preis /Leistung war schlecht.

wir gehen regelmäßig uns Nostalgia; die Qualität ist gleichbleibend und ob Rumpsteak, Kalbsleber oder Grillplatte - es ist immer sehr lecker und ausreichend; auch die Vorspeisen sind überzeugend. Beim letzten Mal ist der Beilagensalat etwa klein ausgefallen; ein Ouzo zur Begrüßung sorgt ach immer schnell für Enstpannung und es muss ja nur einer fahren.

Ein Kellner (Mundnasenschutz unterhalb der Nase) führte uns durch das voll besetzte Restaurant zu unserem Tisch. Es wurde nicht danach gefragt ob wir die 3G -Regeln erfüllen, es erfolgte keinerlei Kontrolle eines Impf- bzw. Testnachweises! Im gleichen Gastraum befanden sich noch drei weitere große Tische die jeweils mit 10-14 Personen im Alter zwischen 20-40 Jahren besetzt waren. Das die nicht stattgefundene Kontrolle bei uns kein Versehen war erfuhr ich bei Nachfrage bei einem anderen Gast, auch an deren Tisch war nicht nach Impf- oder Teststatus gefragt worden. Der Kellner wurde von uns zwei mal auf das unsachgemäße Tragen des Mundnasenschutzes an unserem Tisch angesprochen. Erste Antwort, er bekäme keine Luft, zweite Antwort, er wäre zwei mal geimpft und genesen, Scheiß Politik!!! Der Beilagensalat kam noch relativ zügig, das Essen nach mehr als 1 Stunde. Im Großen und Ganzen waren an unserem Tisch alle mit dem Essen zufrieden, ich leider nicht. Hatte Lammfilet bestellt, der Teller war sehr übersichtlich gefüllt. Drei sehr kleine flache Lammfilets, leider komplett durchgebraten dazu eine kleine Portion Pommes frites, als "Deko" ein Stückchen Eisbergsalat mit ein paar Möhrenraspeln darauf. Das Ganze selbst für normal gute Esser nicht zum Sattwerden für stolze 20,50 €. Später fragte ich zwei mal im größeres zeitlichen Abstand nach der Dessertkarte, sie kam nicht. Diese habe ich dann selbst bei einer anderen Servicekraft an der Theke geholt. Die Abrechnung war mehr als chaotisch, wobei der Kellner sich auch da wieder mit unzureichendem Mund-Nasenschutz so zwischen uns drängte das meine Freundin ihren Mundnasenschutz selber aufsetzte. Sowohl das Küchenpersonal als auch der Service waren mit diesem voll besetzten Lokal total überfordert. Für einige unserer Gruppe war dies der erste Besuch in diesem Restaurant, aber auch der letzte.

This is a rather big restaurant opposite of the Bella Napoli in Krefeld Traar. Friendly staff is offering here nice greek food. Hospitality level is good, ouzo is offered as a starter, which was new to me. the food they offer is nice and they have an incredible choice. If you like greek food, try it out

Food is certainly great value for money but to many compromises have been made and all flavors have been adapted to the German pallet. I missed the original taste of the Greek food. But all in all, an acceptable place to eat at a decent price.

Very friendly waiter & waitress. We hv free 2 shots of Ozzo, and kids are eating god here too. Nice lam, pork, beef grill. Kids menu also have variety of choices.
