The restaurant is really only recommended for those who particularly like lamb.

Unfortunately, it wasn't so good. We waited 1.5 hours for our food. Then we were told that the food we ordered was no longer available. 👎

We reserved online, received a confirmation email, but we weren't registered. 25 minutes after ordering, we had to choose some new food because they'd run out of ground beef. After almost 1.5 hours, the first portion of the food arrived: completely cold! We sent it back. Then we were informed that the remaining food for another three people would take a while because it was so busy, and asked if they wanted to order something else. Then, in two more rounds, the ordered food arrived: mini portions. It didn't taste particularly good, but everyone has different tastes. The Alster beer came as a pilsner. When I complained, I was actually asked if they should just pour Sprite on it or if I wanted a new drink. The staff didn't look left and right, and we could barely order drinks. After 30 minutes, the pilsner we ordered still hadn't arrived at the table. This is completely unacceptable! By the way, the food from the next table still hadn't arrived after 2 hours. The only plus point: drinks were not charged.

Great Greek restaurant. The service is very efficient and friendly, and the food is excellent. The prices are also very reasonable. Simply a wonderful experience!

The food was certainly tasty, but unfortunately the vegetarian selection left a lot to be desired. When you add in any intolerances, it becomes difficult, as there was unfortunately not much flexibility in substituting one item for another. After seeing three different waitresses, they finally accommodated it, but unfortunately, it was still delivered incorrectly and had to be replaced again. The value for money was perfectly fine, and if the vegetarian options are expanded, I'd be happy to come back.

I'm always very impressed by Nostalgia's excellent cuisine. Everything is cooked to perfection and you'll be satisfied. Plus, the super friendly staff, the great ambiance, and not to forget that they offer aperitifs before and after your meal. Where else can you get one? At some places, you can't get one at all. We didn't have a table reservation on a Thursday evening, and it was packed. We were politely informed that the food would take a while because it was so busy. We got our drinks very quickly, but it took a while for our food orders to be taken, which was okay, as it was clear that they were really serving food fairly, one at a time. When the food finally arrived, all we could say was that the wait was worth it. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The price was unbeatable. Two people, two drinks (one alcoholic), a hot starter, two generous main courses, and two free ouzos on the house – a total of less than €50.

An extensive but not overly extensive menu. Everything we've ordered so far has been delicious. Friendly staff and a really good price-performance ratio round out the whole experience.

We were here yesterday and it was fantastic! Great, tasty food at fair prices and generous portions, so everyone would be completely full even with just one main course. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. The garlic potatoes were amazing, I definitely recommend them! One small criticism or suggestion for improvement would be the salad that was served with my main course; it tasted a bit bland. Perhaps use a different dressing with more flavor. But that's just nitpicking. We were extremely satisfied and happy and will definitely be back!

A nice Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, we asked for a table on the terrace, and they waited for us at the bar. As soon as a seat became available, we went to the terrace. Then we took our order, and we asked for the terrace. The waitress told us it was just to speed things up. Finally, against our wishes, we were served inside, even though there was space on the terrace. The food was decent. The meat was good, and the prices were reasonable. They were frozen fries and industrial feta cheese. But it had flavor. It's always nice to have a little ouzo from the owner, even if I don't like ouzo; it's the thoughtfulness that counts.

Not even worth a star, if you order an appetizer, you have to wait over an hour for your food. If you ask why it's taking so long, the waitress will rudely yell at you. An apology would have calmed the whole situation down.

We were guests at the nearby Meccure Hotel and were looking for an alternative to the hotel restaurant, so we ended up at Nostalgia. The decision was excellent. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we still got a nice seat in the covered outdoor area. The service was very friendly and always cheerful and funny, even under pressure. The food was very good and the prices were absolutely fair. I highly recommend this visit.

The gyros was very good - but the price/performance ratio was rather poor...

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it... meat worse than a shoe sole... mini kleks tzatziki... not again

I can only recommend Nostalgia. The food is just perfect - like in Greece 👌🏼. The friendly, courteous staff rounds everything off. You feel very comfortable and can feel the Greek hospitality as soon as you walk in. We have already become regulars. 😉

Food is simply great. Especially for people who like a lot of garlic. I found the service to be marginal. Sometimes it took a long time until we were served and plates were cleared away just a few seconds after the last piece was gone. But it wasn't asked either.

Delicious Greek cuisine!! The prices here are relatively cheap, and the service is quick and friendly!!🤗🤗 The selection of dishes is large, so there is something for everyone!! Vegetarians are also in good hands here!! A real recommendation for me!!🤗🤗

After trying the place across the street, I was very happy I came here. The prices are more reasonable and the staff is excellent! Food was good, but nothing over the top awesome. I would have to come more to try other dishes. What I had to eat, I was very happy with. Can’t say enough about the friendliness of the staff! And for me, that is important.

I went there for the first time with my girlfriend after everyone raved about how great this restaurant is... From the outside the facade is very beautiful and nostalgic but the rest 🤮🤮🤮 Without me being overeaten, but a plate for two people to eat alone... The meat is really quite small, the portion of gyros is also quite small and clear... It started when I was in the shop during the day and ordered a nice table for two people in the evening, of course no problem at all, then in the evening we were there and we got the table right at the entrance as soon as the door opened it was cold and we were both a bit cold... It couldn't be better because nobody wanted to go home... I think it was terribly poorly organized and planned, something like that shouldn't happen for supposedly upscale gastronomy... The restaurant was packed and loud like at Duisburg main station, absolutely not nice, it really had nothing to do with cozy and nice... When several people left, I asked for another table, which we were given after ten minutes. We were told to get up and follow him, which we did, but our table was not cleaned and not re-set, but dirty cutlery and dishes were handed to us, but our extra glasses of ouzo were left on the old table, which we opened at the end When I received the bill, I complained immediately and it was canceled after consultation... Service is actually completely different... The meat on the platter was tiny and clearly laid out... The garlic potatoes were full of fat and drowned in garlic... But they didn't come in separate bowls or bowls but directly on the plate... A tiny little portion of gyros and excess onions... Conclusion: completely overpriced for these small portions and this poor service, an absolute disaster... I'd rather spend my well-earned money somewhere else than, for example, in the Mythos restaurant in Moers Asberg or the Omega restaurant in Rheinberg, but certainly not there anymore... The quality wasn't bad, but it wasn't exhilaratingly good for the price either

Unfortunately my first review is gone. It wasn't served until it was called several times. Table reservation went completely wrong. We were given a bench instead of our table and no attention was paid to it. When the food arrived it was bland, the salad plate had a layer of lettuce with some balsamic vinegar in the bowl. The meal 26 euros. Fried to death, given back, brought back to death followed by a discussion with the chef about how to fry English or medium rare. Of the finest. No discount no excuse not again. You rarely experience something like that.

What charming restaurant with fabulous staff delighting ones palettes with Greek cuisine. I had the succulent lamb with potato’s and over the moon with the food. Plus a free ouzo when receiving my table. Wunderbar! Please visit if in the area.

In a nutshell... Not particularly, at least when you look at the prices listed on the menu, it's more than outrageous. Reserved a table on Saturday evening. This was then relatively quickly in the entrance area. Well, the food could make up for it... First up was a "generous" side salad. This consisted of ONE slice of tomato, a slice of cucumber, a slice of mushroom, a small handful of greens and a fairly watery sauce. Ole, it's getting off to a good start. Let's continue with the main course. The food came and I had to ask again whether I had ordered a senior plate. There was ridiculously little on the plate! The taste of the food was OK, but the portions... No thanks. You can't leave the restaurant hungrier than when you came in. What can you say? The last time we ate there was about 7 years ago... The next visit, if at all, will be in the far, far, far future.

Reserving a table doesn't work at all, we were seated in a narrow corner with 7 people, not made for older people. Then you had to call the waitress that you wanted to drink (after we were at the table 15 minutes later) even then it took another 15 minutes. Ordering to eat was also an experience in itself. After 40 minutes we were finally allowed to order and then after another 45 minutes we received small portions and 2 dishes were served incorrectly, then the meat was not seared as requested, so we went back. 2nd attempt didn't work again, the cook then said that he had to throw the first one away and he only did it for 1 minute per side. But he didn't understand that it was almost cooked through again and just ran away. Profession doesn't seem to be a strength. It's a shame, expensive food and then such a big disappointment. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

Important: The table would be reserved a month in advance. The presentation and visual flair were very inviting in this restaurant, unfortunately the staff seemed to be overwhelmed and didn't seem particularly friendly. Unfortunately, the food was a real disappointment considering the hefty prices. It was edible, but the presentation of the food as well as the quantity was really disappointing. Overall, this experience was something that showed me that Christmas should not be chosen at this restaurant. I can well imagine that the quality is better outside of the holidays, but other people will have to judge that. ;) It's a shame, it was promising.

Dined here on a thursday night. Looking for a place to get something to eat on a rather late hour, we entered here. Although it was 10pm, this wasn't any problem. People were most friendly and helpfull. Food itself was simple but very tasty. Not the huge amount of greasy meat you sometimes get in these places, but just 'real' and tastefull. Greek wine to accompany the food. Left with a very modest bill (+/-60€ for a bottle of red, two starters and two mains, that's really a bargain), a full stomac and a smile on my face. Although that might have been the ouzo :-). I recommend!

Actually always good, that's why it's almost always full. Nothing runs on weekends without a pre-order. Then things can get a bit hectic. The quality and selection of the dishes are top. Price/performance ratio is OK.

The location with the large parking lot nearby is a clear advantage. The restaurant seemed clean and tidy, the service was friendly, but later in the evening it became difficult to speak to anyone. If you order a normal portion and not a senior plate, you can actually assume that you don't necessarily have to order a starter and side dishes with a main course in order to be full. The salad was more than clear, 1 slice of cucumber - slice of tomato - slice of champion and a little iceberg lettuce. The portion of the "Rhodes plate" with meat and There was also a small stuffed potato, which was very unusually little on the plate for a Greek restaurant. Frozen meats of poor quality as if bought from a supermarket, pre-fried potatoes and small quantities and nothing special.. you ask for saganaki, they give you fried white cheese breaded... and very expensive as if you eat in a Gourmet restaurant... not even outside next time!

The food was delicious, especially the garlic potatoes. However, I would have liked the ice cream with hot raspberries to be served on a bowl or plate instead of a tulip-shaped glass. Visually not appealing and the eye is azch with it. Service was attentive but also very loud, which probably has to be the case given the volume in the restaurant in order to accept inquiries and orders. The volume in the restaurant was so loud that it was impossible to have a conversation in a normal voice at the table. Ambience rustic, dark. This restaurant is too loud for me. I can't give a recommendation.

The welcome drink is not necessarily for everyone. When it comes to criticism, you don't try to smooth things over. Too bad.

Waited for an hour and a half and then were served with lies, waiters said they had forgotten the side dishes and then came back after 5 minutes and hadn't even served the food let alone told us anything about it. Never eat there again because you have too much time in your life and don't want to wait 90 minutes for anything.

Table reserved at 5 p.m. Name was then found, but initially no table was available. After 30 minutes you can order. After 90 minutes, people asked again stupidly which side dishes should go with what, and the food would then be ready in 5-10 minutes. After this time a waitress came again and said that the chicken breast fillet we had ordered was not there. Then they leave the store. If you have tens of hours to spare - highly recommended.........

We ate at “Nostalgia” with three people on October 6th, 2024. I had the veal liver with fried onions, with a side dish of French fries instead of rice. The veal liver was very tasty and tender, the fried onions were great. The portion was a normal size, EXCEPT the French fries☝🏼 WHY the hell 😈 do restaurants skimp on such a cheap side dish like French fries, especially since the prices are already pretty high??? I had also ordered an extra portion of French fries for €3 and normally both would be together, so the fries on the main course + the additional portion🍟French fries would be a normal side dish portion‼️‼️ It was the same game with my fellow guests... always too little side dish☝🏼 If French fries 🍟 were an expensive side dish, I could understand a certain frugality, but they aren't ‼️ In other restaurants it's now the same game🫤 If the price/performance ratio in restaurants is no longer right, I will eat out less in the future and treat myself to better, i.e. higher quality, food at home.

We have always been happy with the food, and occasionally we have ordered and picked up something, but there is no delivery service. Online reservation possible, reservation required in my opinion on weekends.

The salad was the crowning glory!!! 1 slice of cucumber 1 small thin slice of tomato 1 slice of mushroom Filled with 1 tablespoon of iceberg lettuce that wasn't enough Maybe consider adjusting the portion again. Been back for a while now. I also know the portion differently.

Five of us were seated without a reservation and were served very friendly. Even when the restaurant became full, there was no noticeable stress among the staff. It is completely normal that it takes a few minutes longer. The portions could actually be a little larger, but this saves you the food coma that usually occurs after Greek food.

My wife and I have been visiting the Nostalgia restaurant regularly for over ten years, often accompanied by our extended family. We were always impressed by the hospitality and the quality of the food. But yesterday we experienced a catastrophe. We were simply ignored. My wife and I had reserved a table for 7 p.m. After 30 minutes and repeated requests, we were finally able to order drinks. When these were served after another 15 minutes and we wanted to place our food order after 45 minutes, the evening reached its lowest point. We were told that we would have to wait to order because there were other guests. We were asked when we had made our reservation and were told that long waiting times were to be expected for short-term reservations. The waitress, who seemed very rude and overwhelmed, said literally: “You only need patient guests, we can't use impatient guests.” And that after ten years of loyal customers.

There were four of us and apart from one two small things we were very satisfied. We were greeted with an ouzo and an order for drinks. The starters arrived quickly and tasted good. There were tzatziki and florinis. The side salad (we didn't like the dressing) and the main course took a while to arrive, but tasted perfectly fine. Souflaki, gyros gratinated and biftiki gratinated. Starters, main courses and drinks totaled €115. The price is perfectly fine for 4 adults. Staff very attentive and accommodating (extra requests when ordering were implemented immediately) Noise not quite as nice as well as the parking situation. But all in all we'll be back.

This is a really, really good Greek restaurant. The location is more reminiscent of a typical German inn (it certainly used to be) but the service and food make up for it. The waitresses are extremely attentive and very quick. Requests are implemented quickly and without discussions. The food is traditional Greek and really really good. The portions are normal size. Not the mountains you usually get. Simply sufficient and totally delicious.

We landed here by chance at around 5pm. The restaurant was relatively empty, we were greeted warmly and seated. The drinks were picked up and served quickly. You have to wait a bit for the food, especially between the starter and the main course, But the food is very good. The meat is well prepared, the fries and garlic potatoes are really tasty, the salad has a nice dressing. The prices are relatively high, but still ok. An ouzo to greet you and one to say goodbye 🤗 Overall a very nice visit, I think we'll be back.. 😎
