Great food , they have a place for kids to play outside and a kids menu, so you feel very welcome with kids there

The food was delicious and perfectly reasonable in price. It was also very quick. The atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommended. 😄😃😀

It was our first time eating here. The food was delicious, but it was very crowded, and the noise level unfortunately confirmed this. What I felt was lacking in the crowded restaurant was the service. When the service was at the table, I can only confirm that the staff were friendly, pleasant, and very competent. All in all, highly recommended, and the delay is forgiven due to the large number of guests!

The food was very good and ready fairly quickly. My only complaint is that the pre-salad could have used a bit more dressing, but that's just a personal opinion.

For our grandpa's big birthday, we were hoping for a great evening with seven people - just like in the old days. The food was delicious, but unfortunately some of it was cold and incomplete. With 6-8 different servers in the 2.5 hours we were there, we eventually lost the desire to ask any more questions after three items we had forgotten to order and a total of 5 times asking different waiters. The bill still showed up. By the time the last of us got our food, the first few dishes were cold. They were all nice, and the food was lukewarm but tasty, but it did put a damper on our mood. In the future, we would rather go to a smaller restaurant to receive proper, personal service.

Yesterday we visited Lukullus. We had looked at the menu beforehand for children's dishes for our daughter. Once we got there, the waitress told us that choosing a children's dish wasn't possible, and we had to order a regular meal for €16. On top of that, the drinks were very slow to arrive.

I personally went there for the first time yesterday. Because we'd heard good things about the restaurant, we wanted to try it out. I have to say, though, that it was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The appetizer platter shocked me the most. What we identified as "seafood" was completely burnt, and they had deliberately placed it on the "good" side so it wouldn't be immediately noticeable. The broad beans were still very hard and not particularly good. The tarama wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. The bread was okay, but the oil they served with it tasted like an olive had just run over it once. So, totally overpriced for what we got. As soon as we received the platter, the next of our six waiters arrived with our main courses, although we didn't have any room left on the table because of the appetizer, and he actually asked us if he should take them away. When we finished the starter, it took an extremely long time for it to be cleared away, even though people kept walking past us empty-handed. In between, someone came and wanted to bring us the salads, which we had all canceled. When the main courses "reappeared" a long time later, when we were feeling full, the pork dishes were still slightly pink, or like shoe soles. The Metaxa sauce only tasted of tomato and not, as I'm used to, the slightest bit of Metaxa. No one even came to the table to ask if everything was okay or if we wanted any more drinks. Even when the table was being cleared, there wasn't a single question. Not even whether we even wanted another ouzo; it was simply placed on our table. The service was as if one hand didn't know what the other was doing. In my humble opinion, there were too many waiters for one table. Two would have been perfectly sufficient, and they would have known what had already been done and what hadn't. With the exception of one, the staff looked as if they didn't want to be there and were forced to work. When the staff's mood is so negative, it makes customers even less likely to come back. Regretfully, I have to say we were extremely disappointed. We don't recommend this restaurant.

August 2025 Well, I finally let myself be persuaded. We were there again after many years. Second chance and all... Well...what can I say? Being spontaneous, we went without a reservation. Right at the front counter...the silverback told us to wait 20 minutes – at least. After a good five minutes, something finally became available... Yes, about one of 10 free tables in the large room. And no one had left the place in the meantime. I'm assuming there was a method here. Ordered... a large shandy, and a mixed bag with the others. The shandy was delivered and was a beer. Since no one came back to the table, even after subtle reminders, I went to the counter. A new shandy was brought to me. It was another beer. Thanks, that was it. I didn't want to drink that stuff, but my companion's further drink orders were also impossible because we, like others, were skillfully sidestepped. btw. The gyro special was... barely average, but far from truly good. Thanks, Lukullludingsbums... I really don't need you anymore. Report from 2017 I've been here many times and unfortunately had a very similar experience the last three times. So today's visit was unfortunately our last. After about 30 minutes, we were asked what we'd like to drink... Ordered! But we couldn't order the dishes we had already chosen, as there was plenty of time for that, from the drinks man.... The drinks arrived about 10 minutes later. We were allowed to order food right away. After a 40-minute wait, it was about time. In addition to bread with tzatziki and shrimp as an appetizer, we also ordered the main courses.... After about 10 minutes, the salad was slammed in front of us... There's no other way to describe it. After another 15 minutes, the main courses were served. Nobody here knew anything about the appetizer and bread anymore. Our drinks were empty... But reordering wasn't possible, as all the catering staff skillfully maneuvered around us without being grabbed. I don't know if others felt the same way, but I suspect it was. Now bread was delivered. It was impossible to note down drinks here. No one else was available. On the other hand, in a group of about 10 Greeks, we were able to have lively conversations and fun with several employees.... After the meal and our throats were dry, it took us another 15 minutes to pay. The kicker... the cashier was very good at remembering the forgotten appetizers.... We had to point them out so the bill could be adjusted. The employee, when asked about our experience, commented: "When it's that busy, you have to expect something like that...". Oh, I see... you accept tight staffing when the store is planned to be full and the sales volume correspondingly high. Less costs means more money... all right! Sorry... as great as the place is, and usually the food too... after several similar or identical experiences, you won't see us again. Unfortunately...

Expensive, dry, disappointing – not recommended! On August 24, 2025, we visited the Lukullus restaurant for lunch. My father ordered dish 75: pork fillet medallions with herb butter, French fries, and salad for €19.00. What came to the table was an outrage: the medallions were dry, tough, and disappointing in taste. When we pointed this out to the waiter, there was no reaction – neither a word of regret nor an offer of compensation. For a meal in this price range, I expect freshness, quality, and at least a modicum of service. None of that was present here. The value for money is abysmal – once and never again!

You can eat very well and deliciously.

The man at the door was very rude and a liar. Even though we had made a reservation from outside, he said we hadn't told us and wouldn't let us in. But the waiters were polite and nice.

Catastrophe not again, service has nothing under control after 30 minutes of waiting you would be spoken to but still no order taken. They wanted to bring us the third card first, which didn't happen. We then left the store after 40 minutes, which the arrogant staff didn't care about.

Were there today. Food is ok. However, service was very unfriendly. No please/no thank you. Plates were slammed onto the table as if in mass production - no question as to whether we would like to drink anything, etc... like other guests, we sat forever in front of the empty plates.

Unfortunately disappointed again. The service was a disaster on our first visit, but we wanted to give it a second chance. This time there were four of us eating. One of the gyros plates was incredibly greasy and inedible, while the other dishes - also with gyros - were significantly less greasy. After a friendly complaint, the boss came personally - not to show understanding, but to reprimand us and claim that gyros were “always so greasy”. This is not true, as our other plates have shown. Instead of admitting mistakes, would it be better to admit that the quality of the food is generally poor? At least the dish wasn't charged, but the bill afterwards was completely wrong. One thing is certain for us: we will definitely not come here again!

Finding a parking space is a disaster. Far too few parking spaces for such a huge restaurant. Uncomfortable due to its size, more like a train station hall. Service takes forever, the waiters walk past blindly. Food is tough and half of the order is missing. Boss doesn't respond to the complaints. Years ago this was a great store. We wanted to give them another chance. CONCLUSION: NEVER again.

Cozy atmosphere, everything clean and well maintained. The dining room is very large, so it is very loud when the house is full. The advantage is that you can also go there with larger groups. The food is sufficient and tastes good too. The food is prepared very quickly, so waiting times are very short. The service actually deserves an additional star, friendly, quick and asks several times whether something is missing and whether it tastes good. Conclusion: Highly recommended.

Had a rather mediocre experience. Drinks and service were fine. However, the food is nothing special and not really tasty. Very small portions (2-3 forks of gyros on a grill plate) and unfortunately the meat was also dry. Don't think I'll go there again.

I ate at this restaurant yesterday with my colleague. This restaurant impresses with its spaciousness and cozy atmosphere. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. However, I would like to criticize the salad plate that was placed there as a side salad, which I thought was carelessly garnished, even though I had actually expected more. The main course was very tasty, but unfortunately, there was far too little on the plate for the price.

We were a small group of 13 people. There is a parking lot, but there are not enough spaces. The reserved table was covered in crumbs. The atmosphere wasn't inviting either. The food came very quickly. The service staff was friendly. The food wasn't prepared the way you're used to. The meat was grilled very dry and very carelessly prepared.

It's okay, nice atmosphere, very friendly service. The only thing that always bothers me is that the meat is super dry, not juicy, just dead.

The food was excellent, my steak was on point and buttery soft. A pleasure. The service was very friendly and accommodating, one star deducted because we often sat in front of empty glasses and one star deducted in the ambience because it is often very loud due to the large number of guests. You can eat there and you'll get full, but I wouldn't go there again so quickly. The taste was quite good, but the starter plate was very, very small, but I still had something left over from the main course (I still wanted to try the dessert). The lady brought a bowl to go and I had to pack it up myself at the table and that's why I deduct the points for the service. The demand for drinks could have come more often (there were enough staff there) A few years ago I was there often and it was much better!

You just know what you're getting with the Greeks. Lots of meat. We have been going here for over 20 years. The only thing that really bothers me is the lack of ambience. It's constantly being rebuilt. Inside it's now like a canteen or McDonalds. No music and no sensitivity for at least some Greek style. That's really a shame.

It's been a while since we've eaten at Lukkulus again. I honestly can't understand this negative review. But unfortunately there are people everywhere who talk badly about everything. We were served very quickly. The food was great. We never had to wait long for our drinks. I'm telling you, people work at Lukkulus and everyone there is very accommodating and tries to do their best every day. They are friendly and very helpful. Have you never actually had a bad day at work? I forgive everyone because that's what defines us as people. And having a full house every day is pretty tiring, especially for the staff there. So, just be a little considerate and don't act so snobby.

Food has completely broken down. Service has decreased. And the prices are an absolute disgrace for the average Greek. Nobody has to have it anymore.

The staff seems as if they are extremely overwhelmed, even though there is more than enough staff available. Our order was taken incorrectly several times. Some of the meat wasn't cooked properly. You have to call staff several times so you can order drinks. Last but not least, the prices are disproportionate to the performance. On the surface the restaurant looks okay, but if you look closer it becomes obvious that they tried to keep the restaurant "modern". Quite honest opinion: For less money you can get better food at KFC and be just as full Addendum after a second visit We were brought to the table and ordered drinks. After 30 minutes we asked where the drinks were. Apparently the note got lost, but I then ordered the food straight away. After another 10 minutes the drinks came and after 30 minutes the food and the Uzo. Yesterday I visited the restaurant for the first time. We were a group of 14 people. When we arrived, no one came to us for a long time. After about 10 minutes a waiter came and asked us for drinks. The first round came, unfortunately incomplete, we had to reorder twice because something was missing. We then asked for the menu cards. We all quickly agreed that the starter came relatively quickly (feta with sesame was super tasty!) Drinks were not offered in the meantime. One of the group went to the waiter at the reception and asked why we weren't being served. The answer was something like "we have too much to do and few people" - I don't have to say anything about that now. The food came about 1.5 hours after we ordered. I had the lamb fillet with fries. Food was okay, I've eaten worse but also better. Gyros gratinated in Metaxa were unfortunately dry, as was the grilled plate. Conclusion: I have rarely experienced such poor service. I would have preferred to drive again after the first round of drinks. Ah yes. The parking situation is also catastrophic on weekends and the prices are quite high.

Service quality now leaves a lot to be desired. Even with a group of 15 people, you won't be able to get the first round of drinks within 20 minutes of waiting at the table. You feel ignored here. Even if there are few staff, you can at least communicate this, but here too there is no response. It's better to go to another Greek restaurant in Krefeld, definitely not the Lokullus. Very very good restaurant. Very large space, both inside and outside. The food has always been incredibly tasty and the portions are large. There are very few parking spaces, which often means that we come by bike and work off one or two fries straight away. Staff is very friendly and quick.

Never again! For me the worst restaurant in Krefeld. You order rice and get a children's portion, then give it back and get rice soup. So the customer is completely ripped off and taken for a fool. In the end not even an apology and still being rude. This restaurant is absolutely underground!

I am very disappointed in the Greek restaurant where we have always enjoyed going for 25 years. The food was delicious but the prices were extremely high! Of course you can justify this with the rising energy prices...that's fine too, but then the service has to be right. If you wait 20 minutes for your first drink and the table is full of empty glasses that you want to clear away yourself, that's not possible. If you want to order drinks you have to arrange for a waiter yourself. Very unfortunate. Especially since it is not the only Greek restaurant in Krefeld.

If you had asked me a few days ago about my favorite restaurant, I would have said Lukullus without hesitation. We've been eating there every now and then for decades. Boxing Day was always set. Also this year. 8 people 6 p.m. The first time we were asked for drinks was after 30 minutes. The main course came at 8:15 p.m. Clock. Drinks replenishment, only if you asked yourself. Waiters walk past you with empty trays. Do not take empties with you or ask for them. The plate used to be garnished. But now it was manageable and the quantity was also smaller. Only the taste is still great. 👍🏻 But the price is also higher. Really a shame!

Forgot your drink order. The Suzuki was still raw inside. When we pointed this out when paying, nothing happened. No drink on the house, no apology

We ate there with 5 people on November 2nd, 2024. We were greeted warmly and then taken to a table, which was only designed for four. Only one chair was placed at the head, even though we had reserved for 5 people. The table was simply too small for 5 people and you didn't know where to put the drinks and salads. Well, we came to terms with it and got the menu pretty quickly and were able to order drinks after about 15 minutes. It took another 15 minutes for them to arrive, and a drink was missing. While we were waiting for the drinks, four of us other service employees were asked if we would like to order something to drink, everything twice or three times. When we all finally had something to drink, we were able to order food. After ordering, we were given a salad after 5 minutes, but unfortunately it was very bland. (Coleslaw, iceberg lettuce, 1 slice of cucumber and a pepperoni and shoo shoo, a little balsamic on top, ready and tasteless) Then our food came after about 20 minutes, which looked very nice and was also very tasty. ( Compliments to the kitchen for the main course. In between we needed new drinks, but there was no service anywhere, so it was just one drink for the entire 2 1/2 hours. After we were finished with the main course, we wanted to order dessert, but every service employee who walked past said yes, I'll be right there, but no one came at first and the plates weren't cleared away either. Then after about 25 minutes a service employee came with the menu and we were finally able to choose our dessert. Ordering somehow went quite quickly, but after another 30 minutes there was still no dessert and the drinks were all empty. When a service person came by and asked if everything was OK, my answer was of course: No and explained everything to her, and also took the dessert order back and then asked for the bill. After about 10 minutes this came. We then paid and left somewhat disappointed. My conclusion: The restaurant is very nice, the food is very good but the service is poor. The owner should urgently do something here and whether we will eat there again, I'll leave that open.

As always, there was nothing negative to say about the food or service ☺️. Sometimes there is a drag in the corners, but it settles down over time.

Nice, large restaurant with really tasty reasonable prices. We've been there many times, but unfortunately we found out today for the second time in a row that the waitresses are quick and attentive until the meal is served, but as soon as the food is served, there's no one around. People don't even look in our direction anymore! We sat in a smaller room on the left and people just kept walking past it. Even after a waiter came to two other tables (once to take a drink, once to ask for the bill), our wave was ignored. We paid after 50 minutes without the plates being cleared. Unfortunately, there wasn't even an opportunity to say anything about it on site because everyone seemed rushed. Too bad!!!

Food is not for everyone, especially grilled meat, for 30 euros per serving I would like to have a tasty meal, and not train my jaw like a boxer, chewing the sole of a shoe, I apologize, but there is no other way to call it, as for the service, it leaves much to be desired, the staff is not stress-resistant, the waiting time is long, my wife and I were very upset because we went with the whole family and paid a hefty bill, but no one could even enjoy staying in this place, I’m already silent about the food... no one could eat up!

The food is always delicious and we regularly go to Lukullus on individual occasions. Service is attentive and generally very quick. However, you can tell that the interior has had a few days under its belt and due to its size, the restaurant lacks a bit of coziness. But that doesn't really detract from the overall impression, because you go to a restaurant primarily because of the food

We were there for dinner today, October 5th, 2024, the first reception was well. Sat down, waited 10 minutes for the first time, no drink, nothing offered. After 10 minutes, another service came, then finally everything was ordered, including drinks and so on. Waiting again, a few moments later the drinks arrived. Plus point, food was served very quickly, that's about it. I had a Hermes platter, my partner a fish platter. I actually didn't taste any meat, just salt, endless salt. The fish platter, on the other hand, was very tasty. By then we had no more service. At every other table far away the service was there. We ate, I basically had to choke down the oversalted food. Okay, we're over that. And now we're waiting again for service, just nothing, not once did anyone come to us to ask if we wanted anything else, just nothing. 20 minutes later after eating we didn't feel like waiting anymore, so we paid for everything at the checkout and were done. There is no tip for this, nothing, that's a no go. And I've known the restaurant for 25 years and eat there often, but like it was today, never again. I actually never complain, you can understand everything, we're all just human, but stuff like that, no... unfriendly, oversalted food, no service.

It's been a long time since I've been there, it's been beautifully remodeled, but the background noise in the front area isn't bad 🙈 Service was super attentive and quick. Food was ok, I think it was because it was very crowded. But I can still recommend it with a clear conscience.

We have known Lucullus since ancient times. Even well before the renovation. Our grandparents have been regular guests there for 40 years. Aside from the incredible setting, this restaurant is a quiet place where you can eat delicious food. The friendly staff there makes the atmosphere even nicer.

We had a wonderful evening in the Lukullus restaurant and absolutely loved it! Together with my family and my mother we enjoyed the delicious Greek cuisine. The lamb dish we ordered was sensational - incredibly tender, juicy and cooked with perfectly balanced spices. The side dishes, including fresh salads and the delicious homemade tzatziki, were equally outstanding. You can feel the passion with which they cook here. A special thank you goes to the waitress Selen, who made our evening even more pleasant. With her friendly and warm manner, she was always available without being intrusive and gave us excellent recommendations. She made sure we felt comfortable at all times, and my mother was particularly impressed by her attentive service. The Lukullus Restaurant not only offers first-class food, but also service that is second to none. Thanks to the great atmosphere and the wonderful waitress Selen, our evening was an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!
