Ich weiß gar nicht mehr, wie oft wir in all den Jahren hier waren. Kleine Speisekarte, aber immer von höchster Qualität. Wunderbarer, persönlicher Service. Und eine Atmosphäre, die wir sehr angenehm finden.

Wenn wir könnten, wie wir wollten, wären es hier in der Bewertung glatte 10 Sterne! Hervorragendes Essen, sensationeller, herzlicher Service in historischem, geschichtsträchtigem Ambiente! Einfach ein genialer, wunderschöner Abend! DANKESCHÖN! Die 4 plus Hund von (ich denke) Tisch 44 :-)

Ich möchte mich noch mal an das gesamte Serviceteam für die nette und superfreundliche Bedienung bedanken. Auch an die Küche einen recht herzlichen Dank für das super leckere nie vergessliche Essen was mit sehr viel Zuneigung zubereitet wurde. Das Ochsenfilet war perfekt und auf den Punkt, wie bestellt, medium gegart.

Portionen sind zu klein für den Preis Der Service lässt keine Wünsche offen! Extrem hohes Niveau, Respekt!!!

Für eine Flasche Wasser wurden uns 8 Euro berechnet, lächerlich!

Sehr netter, aufmerksamer, zuvorkommender Service mit dem richtigen timing für Getränkewünsche und die Gangabfolge. Wunderbar geschmacksintensiv zusammengestellte Kombinationen der einzelnen Gänge die optisch auffallend schön auf stilistisch passenden Tellern präsentiert sind. Ein Abend voller Genüsse!

Ein modernes Restaurant in einer alten Mühle. Herzlicher und professioneller Empfang, hervorragender Service, klassisch-modernes Dekor. Sie haben die Wahl zwischen Menüs (eines davon vegetarisch) und À-la-carte-Gerichten. Die Speisen basieren auf saisonalen Zutaten und bieten interessante Interpretationen klassischer Rezepte. Die Weinauswahl und -empfehlung sind sehr gut. Allerdings waren alle von uns bestellten Gerichte – zwei Vorspeisen und zwei Hauptgerichte – übermäßig gesalzen und mit zu viel Umami gewürzt, wodurch die feinen Aromen der Zutaten völlig verloren gingen und sie dadurch alle ähnlich schmeckten. Mit zwei Gläsern Wein belief sich die Rechnung auf 115 Euro, insgesamt also ein angenehmes Erlebnis.

Kleine aber feine Abendkarte und Menüvorschlag. Ich hatte ein Stück vom bayrischen WagyuRind. Das war wie zu erwarten sehr gut aber mich haben die Beilagen begeistert. Was man aus dreierlei Mais zaubern kann-sooo gut. Ich hatte noch Trüffelpüree dazubestellt...die Portionsgrößen sind wie in diesem Segment immer so "o.k." groß, aber mir reicht das leider nie......tja, gute Wahl, es war köstlich!!! Ganz ehrlich, ich habe mich gefühlt wie ein Kind, dass den Topf und den Teller auslecken möchte! Ich glaube, so beschreibe ich es am besten!! Wohlfühlessen auf hohem Niveau! (Vorspeise und Nachtisch waren ebenfalls köstlich) Dazu ein herzlicher Service mit sehr guter Beratung. Ich weiß schon, dass ich demnächst wiederkomme und freue mich schon darauf! Danke für einen gelungenen Abend an das ganze Team!

Wir haben in einer Gruppe zu sechst die 5-Gang-Menüs (davon drei vegetarisch) sehr genossen. Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker, der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich habe heute Abend hier köstlich gegessen. Es war ein warmer Abend in München, und ich war froh, dass es draußen Tische gab. Wunderbarer Service, fantastisches Essen und Wein … was will man mehr? Ich habe leider nur zwei Fotos gemacht … von den Vorspeisen, die beide sehr lecker waren. Ich kann dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Das Haus bietet ein sehr tolles Ambiente – auch wenn man draußen auf der Terrasse sitzt. Der Service war höflich, professionell und sehr freundlich. Man fühlt sich als Gast gut aufgehoben. Nun zum Essen: Die Speisekarte mit etwas „gehobenem“ Preisniveau sah interessant aus. Dennoch fragten wir nach einer aktuellen Empfehlung. Spargel als Beilage wurde uns empfohlen – ich habe akustisch einen Preis von ca. 19,90 € pro Portion verstanden. Meine Begleitpersonen verstanden dies ebenfalls so und entschieden sich daher für diese Empfehlung. Die bestellten Gerichte kamen dann allerdings nicht wie in der Speisekarte beschrieben, sondern lediglich nur mit einer Spargelbeilage bestehend aus etwa fünf Spargelstangen. Diese Beilage wurde mit 29 € pro Person zusätzlich mnbberechnet, was aus meiner Sicht deutlich überteuert ist. Zudem war dieses Angebot in keiner der vorhandenen Speisekarten zu finden. Im Bestellvorgang frage ich nicht nach der Kalkulation des Restaurants. Erwartet hätte ich den ursprünglichen Portionspreis (ca. 38€) mit einem angemessenen Mixpreis für den Austausch der Beilage. Meine Bestellung hätte ohnehin grünen Spargel beinhaltet. Ich ging daher davon aus, dass dieser lediglich ersetzt wird – vermutlich gegen einen entsprechenden Aufpreis. Letztlich erhielten wir nur das Fleisch der ursprünglichen Portion plus fünf Spargelstangen für exakt 47 € – jedoch ohne weitere Beilage. Ursprünglich wären zumindest noch Kartoffeln o. Ä. enthalten gewesen. Was den Geschmack betrifft, sind Bewertungen natürlich immer individuell. Wir alle fanden jedoch, dass der bissfeste Spargel nicht ganz durchgekocht war. Auch die Wartezeit von über 45 Minuten war bei der geringen Auslastung zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht wirklich nachvollziehbar. Ich bzw. wir fanden das Restaurant zwar angenehm, insgesamt jedoch unbegründet überteuert. Die kleine Portion zzgl. etwa drei Gläser Wasser (als Flasche) kostete am Ende rund 58 € pro Person. Ob das ein fairer Preis ist, kann jeder für sich selbst entscheiden.

Ein gehobenes Restaurant mit hervorragend aufmerksamen Mitarbeitern in einem schönen Gebäude mit Innen- und Außensitzplätzen. Ich hatte Pappardelle mit einer Sauce („Ragout“) aus weißen und grünen Spargelscheiben und köstlichen Champignons. Es war himmlisch, aber überhaupt nicht italienisch (ich kam gerade aus Mailand). Es waren wunderbare, buttrige, weiche Bandnudeln (echt deutsch, nicht al dente), und ich werde so bald wie möglich wiederkommen.

Das Essen war gut. Leider hatte der Oberkellner schlechte Laune und ließ das seine Angestellten anstecken. Vor der Renovierung hatte das Restaurant mehr Charme.

Ein elegantes Restaurant mit aufmerksamem Service und wirklich exzellenten Zutaten. Das Fünf-Gänge-Menü besticht durch Qualität und Präsentation, doch die Portionen sind extrem klein, und die 25-minütige Wartezeit zwischen den Gängen macht das Erlebnis eher langwierig und unbefriedigend. Angesichts des Preises würde ich es nicht empfehlen: Es ist deutlich besser, à la carte zu bestellen, wo die Portionen großzügiger sind und das Erlebnis wesentlich befriedigender.

Das Essen ist fantastisch, die Vorspeisen sind ein echter Geheimtipp. Ich konnte nur die Vorspeisen essen, aber wenn Spargel Saison hat, sollten Sie ihn unbedingt bestellen. Die Mitarbeiter von Walters sind höflich und nicht aufdringlich. Auf Wunsch geben sie Ihnen gerne Empfehlungen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich. Guten Appetit!

Das Essen und der Service war ein einziger Genuss.

Das Essen war gut, aber für den Preis war der Service etwas mangelhaft und abweisend. Wir wurden gefragt, ob wir einen Begrüßungsdrink möchten, also wandte ich mich an meinen Tischnachbarn, um dies zu besprechen. Der Kellner meinte dann nur „Wasser“ und ging weiter. Ich hätte es sicher noch einmal ansprechen können, aber er schien es nicht zu schätzen, dass wir uns Zeit ließen. Vielleicht bin ich da etwas eigen, aber wir wiederholten seine Frage nur. Es war ja nicht einmal besonders viel los. Dann wurden unsere Bestellungen verwechselt, obwohl er noch einmal nachgefragt hatte – aber das lag daran, dass der Kellner gewechselt hatte. Alles in allem ist das in Ordnung, und ich würde mir nichts weiter dabei denken; sie waren trotzdem freundlich, und das Essen war gut. Der Grund, warum ich wahrscheinlich nicht wiederkommen werde (ich war schon einmal dort, das letzte Mal in München – und ihre Käseplatte war absolut fantastisch), ist die Weinkarte – und vielleicht ist es einfach ein kultureller Unterschied –, aber der Kellner (ein erwachsener Mann) schaffte es, zweimal in fünf Gläsern Bodensatz einzuschenken – er leerte die ganze Flasche. Er hat es bemerkt, die Gläser waren nicht mal normal voll – und hat es einfach ignoriert. Er hat die Flaschen komplett geleert, sogar mit sichtbarem Bodensatz (einmal sogar in einer weißen Flasche). Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Vielleicht ist das hier üblich – aber bei uns würden selbst Restaurants, die weniger als die Hälfte kosten, so etwas vermeiden. Ich bin auch nicht wirklich sauer, sondern einfach nur erstaunt – aber ich werde wohl nicht wiederkommen.

Ein großartiges Erlebnis! Das Menü des Küchenchefs war einfach wunderbar. Wir alle haben jedes einzelne Gericht genossen. Absolut empfehlenswert für besondere Anlässe.

Eines meiner schönsten Erlebnisse in München. Das Essen, die Aromen – einzigartig und exzellent, weitere Worte erübrigen sich angesichts dieser Pracht. Der Mittagslunch (Foto) für 24€ ist ein sehr guter Deal. Das Essen war famos, der Service vor Ort sehr aufmerksam und kompetent - ein Stern Abzug, da Restaurant auf E-Mails und Anrufe nicht antwortete. Besonders gut: Küche und Service berücksichtigten sehr gut Glutenfreiheit und zöliakiegerechte Zubereitung.

Das Pfistermühle ist für mich ein absoluter Klassiker in München, wenn man Lust auf gehobene, regionale Küche hat. Die Lage direkt am Platzl in einem historischen Mühlengebäude schafft sofort eine schöne Stimmung, und die Kombination aus traditioneller bayerischer Küche mit modernen Ideen funktioniert hier richtig gut. Besonders die sorgfältig ausgewählten regionalen Zutaten schmeckt man in jedem Gericht — von Fisch aus dem Ammersee bis zu feinen Wildzutaten. Das macht den Besuch kulinarisch spannend und nicht einfach nur gut bürgerlich.

Idealer Ort für besondere Anlässe.

Wir essen jedes Jahr traditionell im Pfeffermule, um den Urlaub ausklingen zu lassen … es hat uns noch nie enttäuscht … das Essen ist hervorragend, das Ambiente traditionell und gemütlich … und die Bedienung erstklassig. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder!

Essen war wie erwartet sehr lecker - mit 2 klitzekleinen Einschränkungen,- aber was uns den Abend ‚vermiest’ hat, war eine große Gäste-Gruppe ( ca 15) , die den halben Raum eingenommen hat, dementsprechend war -bzgl. der Gruppe verständlich - der Lärmpegel leider sehr hoch! Das sollte bei dem Preisverhältnis nicht passieren. Wir haben hier zu zweit unseren Hochzeitstag (4.12.) gefeiert, uns sehr drauf gefreut, aber waren dann bzgl. angenehmer Atmosphäre sehr enttäuscht. Große Gruppen muss man vielleicht in Touristen-Lokaken hinnehmen, aber hier ??? Sehr schade, also zu zweit ist dieses Lokal nicht zu empfehlen…

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Hauptgerichte kosteten zwischen 40 und 70 Euro, die Menüs des Küchenchefs zwischen 129 und 169 Euro. Es gab auch eine vegetarische Speisekarte. Das Restaurant war elegant, aber viel zu heiß. Unser Kellner Markus, dessen Service unter dem Standard des Restaurants lag, trübte den Gesamteindruck jedoch erheblich. Zu allem Überfluss beschwerte er sich auch noch über unser Trinkgeld und versuchte, mehr herauszuholen. Unsere Rechnung belief sich auf 705 Euro für vier Personen. Wir gaben schließlich 10 % Trinkgeld, aber ich habe in Europa noch nie ein so unhöfliches und unkultiviertes Verhalten erlebt.

Die Pfistermühle hat uns sehr positiv überrascht. Wir waren mit einem Ehepaar aus Italien dort und sie konnten nicht glauben, dass die servierten Speisen zur deutschen Küche gehören. Alle Speisen die wir hatten waren exzellent und hätten nicht besser sein können. Wir hatten noch zwei Flaschen Wein, welcher auch sehr gut war. Mit Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeise + Wein kommt man auf >100€, was es uns jedoch absolut wert war. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Restaurant war wunderschön, aber im Winter etwas zu warm. Das Degustationsmenü des Küchenchefs war innovativ und erfrischend. Das Bezahlen gestaltete sich etwas unangenehm. Unser Kellner, der wusste, dass wir Amerikaner waren, versuchte, den Trinkgeldbetrag herunterzuhandeln, indem er ihn vor allen anderen Gästen als Prozentsatz des Rechnungsbetrags verkündete. Ein unschöner Abschluss eines ansonsten schönen Abends.

Leute das muss man erlebt haben, hier fühlt man sich wirklich wie ein König. Bitte macht eure eigene Erfahrung. Es war sensationell. Dankeschön liebes Pfistermühleteam.

Amazing service Amazing food Not for every wallet

I was here on a Saturday for a business lunch. The service was extremely attentive, responsive, and creative. The service was impeccable, highly professional, and friendly. I've been planning to visit the Pfistermühle for a long time and will definitely return on my next visit.

We'll definitely come back another time to try this, apparently, magnificent food. The facade alone is inviting!

Stumbled across this restaurant midweek lunchtime. They had a lunch special at €25 where you could have a full sized main, small starter, small side and small desert. Everything was fantastic. Great service also.

A very pretentious cuisine, served in small portions, coming with an outrageous price. Basic carrot puree it's billed at 26€ for a starter. The place is not worth the price nor the Michelin mention. It doesn’t meet the expectations and there's nothing memorable regarding its food or experience. The overall food quality is good but not exceptional though. The service feels also rushed as no description of the meals were given. I don't recommend this restaurant.

Some of the very best that Munich has to offer culinarily! Moreover, the evening is accompanied by outstanding, well-coordinated, and professional service. A huge thank you goes to Mr. Markus Buchmaier! All guests are extremely welcome, and this is evident from the moment you arrive until your departure – truly personal and genuine hospitality. You feel completely at ease. A visit is more than just highly recommended!

We had long wanted to spend a culinary evening at the Pfistermühle restaurant. Our expectations were very high. Unfortunately, these were not met in almost any respect: visually, all the dishes looked beautiful. But the taste was simply bland and nothing special. In this category of restaurant, one expects a refined culinary experience, a unique taste sensation. Sadly, these were completely lacking. The price-performance ratio was also in no way commensurate. To add to the culinary disappointment, the service was questionable – the waiter addressed us informally throughout the entire evening without being asked. Perhaps acceptable in a snack bar, but not in a fine-dining restaurant. The premises were cozy and inviting. But all in all, a disappointment.

The food was good, but nothing extraordinary at that price. I had the beef tongue and cheeks; they were cooked properly, but the flavor wasn't exceptional. The carrots weren't anything special either. The dessert menu really needs an overhaul. It's mostly sorbets, and all over €12-15. The atmosphere was pleasant, though, and the presentation was nice, but that's about it.

The food is absolutely top-notch, the service is excellent! The location is near Marienplatz and easily accessible, with a cool bar outside. It's a cozy restaurant where you immediately feel at home. The only downside is the price of the bottled wines, which is simply outdated. Everything is priced three times over, even things like Vega Sicilia Unico for 1100 CHF. Younger vintages of Alto PS are only 350 CHF! It's a shame, otherwise it's definitely worth a visit!

We didn't enjoy the food quite as much on our last visit as before. Otherwise, everything was great!

The staff greeted me with a smile and were very friendly! The interior was calm and lovely!! I had the one-plate lunch (main dish was meat or fish). The portion was not too large, so it was perfect for people with small appetites and for Japanese people. The main fish was quite strongly seasoned, but the overall balance was very good. The aroma of the rye bread was also wonderful. The staff were very attentive and I had a great time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Excellent food, cheerful, professional service, beautiful ambience

My friends and I stumbled upon Restaurant Pfistermühle while looking for a late dinner in Marienplatz—and we’re so glad we did! This elegant spot, focused on high-end German cuisine, turned out to be a fantastic experience. The wine list was impressive, but the menu was even better. My friend and I shared the chateaubriand for two with truffle mashed potatoes and bacon-infused beans—absolutely delicious. We finished the night with a nice schnapps, the perfect ending to a great meal. A big thank you to the wonderful staff, who were not only professional but also warm and welcoming. And yes, for fellow travelers, they do provide English menus and have English-speaking staff.

The taste is really very good, as is the service! We'd love to go there more often, but unfortunately, the menu doesn't usually appeal to me. I don't eat beef or game, and unfortunately, the vegetarian dishes aren't that appealing to me either. A chicken dish would be nice. The desserts were fantastic!

We had a private anniversary dinner, so it cost a bit more. We are thrilled with the Pfistermühle. Christoph and Max's service was perfectly coordinated and accordingly professional and attentive in their interactions with guests. And the excellent, refined, balanced, and creative gourmet food, a welcome departure from Munich's standardized gourmet cuisine, was a true delight at the Pfistermühle. Whenever we're in Munich, the Pfistermühle is a must. We've never been disappointed by either the food or the service. Big praise also to our waiter, Marco; a perfect host who anticipates guests' wishes before they even speak them. The quality of the food is also phenomenal, and it's perfectly acceptable that this league isn't exactly cheap. However, on our last visit on August 23rd, we had the feeling that management was somehow overcharging. The Bavarian prawn starter consisted of exactly one prawn on a layer of leaf spinach for €25—sorry, that's a rip-off—and the tiny portion of Wagyu duck liver tortellini was also significantly overpriced. Considering what we paid for a starter the day before at a Michelin-starred restaurant in the same city, the pricing here completely disagrees with the portion size. And the table next to us, who felt the same way, confirmed that we weren't entirely wrong. The good thing is that Munich has many top restaurants, so you don't have to go home hungry after paying too much

Very friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, fine but not overly elaborate cuisine. Not exactly cheap, but certainly a worthy venue for special occasions. Local and regional elements are incorporated into the ingredients and the dishes. I'd be happy to return.

One of my “new” favorite restaurants in Munich! Went on a friend’s recommendation and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. They have a small menu which I personally prefer and it looks like you can’t go wrong ordering fish! Mine was really delicious and can’t say enough about the service as well.

We had a wonderful evening with the 6-course menu. The pork belly to start was a little lacking in flair, but the remaining courses were terrific, and the service was incredibly warm and witty. The vibe was truly pleasant, relaxed, and yet super on-point in terms of drink service, etc. I think the menu was perfectly reasonable/good value for money at €125 for 6 courses. However, the drinks start on the high side, at €49 for the cheapest bottle of wine and €13 for a glass of sparkling wine. Perhaps a slightly more affordable entry-level offering could be added. We'd be happy to come back!

This was my second time here. In winter, I had the set menu inside with wine pairing. Yesterday, I had the à la carte option outside the restaurant. I'll definitely be back. Pleasant service, delicious food. The meat was cooked to perfection. Top-notch!

I had completely forgotten about it for years, but luckily I rediscovered it. I went there for lunch with a work colleague on Friday after a long absence. Very good, down-to-earth, upscale cuisine with excellent service and a lovely outdoor area. Cozy, delicious, and simply beautiful. A bit pricey, but where else can you eat cheaply in Munich?

Although the menu offers a wide range of options at reasonable prices, the daily set menu is very interesting. The service was attentive and willing to make themselves understood to those of us who don't speak German. The best part was the bread, delicious. To shorten the wait, multi-grain bread with lemon-flavored butter, soft and just right, was fresh. Today's menu included a choice of main course: steamed fish loin with a seared finish, or grilled beef tenderloin with a mild herb sauce, or fresh ravioli. Mashed potatoes and a grilled broccoli or berry salad served as accompaniments. The first course consisted of a delicious tomato soup with pine nuts and paprika, and a couscous salad with chopped tricolor peppers and feta cheese... The experience was very good.

I'm a hobby cook and demanding. Everything here was just right.

Made a reservation for a party of 3 and we all got the prefixed menu and we were all blown away. The quality of each dish was exceptional and the service was also wonderful. Our waiter had great wine recommendations. My favorite dishes were the soup and the raspberry desert. The pasta was also excellent. Overall, very excellent experience and I highly recommend.

This was our second time eating at the Pfistermühle and we were absolutely thrilled again. The food is of a high standard. The taste, the quality, and the wine—everything is just perfect. The service is very friendly, relaxed, and very attentive. The individual courses only proceed once you've given your approval. It's clear to us that when we're in Munich, we have to eat at the Pfistermühle. Thank you for this enjoyable evening.

We had the excellent Chef's Menu of very carefully prepared dishes, matched with an interesting wine pairing -- all at a very reasonable price. Service was perfect: impeccable but not stuffy. We appreciated the pacing, allow us to savor each dish without being rushed. I only regret not getting a list of those unusual (to us) wines, but after talking with the waiter, many may be only available to specialists like Pfistermühle.

The food was very good, but nothing special. The service was poor: inattentive, pushy, and unfriendly. They were visibly annoyed with us and were subtly making fun of us. The side dishes were overpriced. The entire meal was overpriced. We paid €400 for an average meal. Not recommended.

A very nice restaurant and great food. What was anything but nice, however, was the waiter's comment that we were only allowed to order one drink each, as this was a restaurant. For background: the two of us had an appetizer each and shared a dessert. My girlfriend had been to the Pfistermühle several times and raved about the food. Since we weren't very hungry, we just wanted to eat appetizers and drink wine. A friend then joined us, and we wanted to order a bottle of wine. But we weren't allowed to. The waiter came back and said we could order a bottle after all, but at that point we felt very uncomfortable. With a total bill of approximately €145.00, the service was very poor. The bread basket that was simply placed in front of us also appeared as an extra item. This was our last visit.

Highly disappointed in our experience! We had a party of 9 for Christmas eve dinner and had the specialty menu. The food was amazing but that is all that we enjoyed. Service was very slow and not very upfront about the additional costs. Table was preset with water bottles; we were unaware we would be charged for these since we did not order them. We were served the “house” champagne when we sat down, again charged for them even though they were poured as we sat and did not order them. The “house” champagne for the evening was priced extremely high – 50 euros per glass (we were not drinking the rose)! Not being aware of this made these charges really soured our experience. I spoke to the manager at the end of the evening, I was not looking for a refund, but offered some advice that some of those things should have been mentioned prior to being poured or offered. I also mentioned the shocking sticker price for a glass of champagne and felt we should have been warned. He was very arrogant and said “If you could not afford these prices then you should not have come here”. I was shocked, who speaks to someone like this? I have never been treated like that before so I do not suggest this location especially for something special like Christmas dinner!

We had a wonderful dining experience here tasting the chef's menu with my family. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. We would definitely recommend, and very large portion sizes for a tasting menu!

The food is pretty good, but the value for money is not there at all. At €200 per person, we expected much better.

Overall a mixed experience. We ordered the chefs 5 course menu and additionally asked to have the green and white asparagus to start to share. We also asked to have the wine pairing with the chefs menu. Our waiter served us two individual serves of the green and white asparagus, rather than one to share. I brushed it off as just miscommunication because, outside of this the service was very very good. I enjoyed most of the wines except the Rioja Reserva. It was heavy on the tannins and light on the fruit to my taste. Now to the food. The goose liver creme brûlée was exceptional, the asparagus dish and linguine with caviar were tasty. To me the caviar could have been completely omitted from the linguine without impacting the taste since the lemon beurre blanc overpowered it. The halibut was very pretty in its circular cut but the fish was overcooked and dry on the exterior and completely unseasoned. The beef filet was also very dry while the broccolini with it was over salted. It was a pretty significant miss on execution on what amounted to the most significant portion of the meal. I love steak and could not even finish the filet because of how unappetizingly dry it was. The dessert fortunately was a triumphant end to the meal. It was creative, tasty, wonderful to look at and well balanced. Overall my feeling was for a meal that cost around 600EUR for two that it fell short of the mark. There were still plenty of redeeming qualities. Edit: my original posting mentioned the server adding some extra wine at an up charge without asking for our additional course. This was my misunderstanding as I confused the wine pairing price of the 5 course chefs menu with a different wine pairing option for an alternative 5 course offering. Actually the restaurant provided a complimentary additional glass of wine for our additional asparagus course, which now that I understand was very nice of them. I still feel that more attention to a consistent level of seasoning to all aspects of a dish is table stakes for fine dining, so I would keep my review at 3 stars. It’s probably closer to 3.5.
