Booked weeks in advance and still no entry in the guesthouse booking book. That means waiting until the rooms were prepared. If 3 rooms were required, there was also a bit of luck involved as they were available. The rooms were very clean and functionally furnished. Only the TV didn't work so well. The breakfast was very good and sufficient for 3 people with everything you need for a good start to the day. What was negative was the fact that the restaurant was closed on Mondays, as we actually wanted to sit down there on the evening of our arrival. So the search for an alternative opportunity began. Nevertheless, it is recommended.

Very nice and clean rooms. Hosts very accommodating. Breakfast 1a for 12€ everything you need, fruit, cheese, cold cuts, mozzarella, etc. I can only recommend it. With an attached Greek restaurant. It doesn't get any better.

The restaurant with beer garden on the Elbe is a worthwhile destination in Torgau.

Had dinner here. Unfortunately, many convenience products, so it wasn't a burner. It's actually a shame given the location! 🤷🏻 The whole thing would be better at the top.

Nice location but food was just ok. We wanted to order half a portion, which wasn't possible. So we just shared one meal instead of ordering a small and a large. The taste of the souvlaki was OK, but not quite what we expected. It quickly became apparent that the finished product was from a wholesaler (Mega Souvlaki printed on the skewers). We are used to something different in the restaurant. Given the good selection of restaurants in Torgau, I would choose a different one next time.

Arrival on January 9th, 2024 Despite advance notice that I would arrive around 12 p.m., the room was not ready. Had to be prepared first. After an hour of waiting, I was let into the room. The room was freezing cold. Outside temperatures were 10 degrees below zero. Only slightly warmer in the room. Estimate just above zero degrees. Furniture, walls ice cold. I tried to talk to the boathouse team. I was loudly attacked by the house manager and insulted by the man of the house. I should put something on. The words went below the belt. Left speechless. The boathouse didn't refund a cent. Had to pay full price.

I stayed in a single room at the weekend. Very clean and tidy. Mattress was a bit soft, but there is no deduction for that. Top bed linen and towels available. Friendly, uncomplicated operators. Gladly again. LG from Essen/NRW

We just took a drinking break here. The service had to be stimulated. Lamb was served at the neighboring table, just as the operators would probably have eaten it at home. See photo

Friendly staff/ adequate amount of food and is good in taste/ good for celebrations or tourists.

My wife and I ate here, the ambience was good (but there was no Greek flair, it could be the landlord's fault). Starters were ok, we ordered Suvlaki with the main course, unfortunately it wasn't freshly prepared, you could read "Mega Suvlaki" on the wooden skewer. That's a bit stupid especially since this frozen product costs €15 per kilo. Mistress her calamari wasn't well done. Since this was our first visit we didn't want to say anything. Other Greeks also manage to put fresh food on their plates. Unfortunately it's a shame for the restaurant right on the Elbe. Attached photo of the skewer we googled, it was the same one

We went to the Scholzkopf Wood Festival in Brottewitz and booked the old boathouse in Torgau as accommodation, and we will do that again. The accommodation is very nice, the staff very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is really good and the food in the restaurant is simply delicious. We felt completely comfortable. Beautifully located on the Elbe and the state horticultural show grounds. Room is okay. The staff very friendly and caring. flexible breakfast times. we would go there again

Old boathouse Torgau, great location. In the morning you can see the sunrise very beautifully. The boathouse is located directly on the Elbe. The rooms are clean, cozy and quite spacious. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. You feel very well looked after here. The breakfast is also very rich, nothing was missing, it was prepared with a lot of love. Price performance is simply top. I can definitely recommend. I'm really looking forward to my next visit there.

Very nice guesthouse with a view of the Elbe. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and the service was very friendly and accommodating. We found it very good and imaginative that each room was named after a city in Saxony (Riesa, Meißen, Dresden, etc.).

Pension area: Beautiful, spacious room, prepared with a lot of love. The welcome was very warm. No mass processing, like in other guesthouses. And the location is of course beautiful. And I have to say, price performance is perfect. Also that it is within walking distance of the city and the Elbe meadows. With large hotel chains, you get significantly less for almost half the money... I'd be happy to come back when I'm in town. Top

Cozy in a wonderful location. The Elbe, away from the hustle and bustle, right on your doorstep. Great food and very pleasant innkeepers round off the pleasant feeling of welcome. You can switch off here.

Freundlicher Empfang, Zimmer sauber und bequem, Lage direkt an der Elbe einfach genial und trotzdem ist man in nur 10 Gehminuten in der Stadt und am Schloss. Ich habe mich wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war gut, es war alles da was man braucht und mit sehr viel Freundlichkeit serviert. Das Essen im Restaurant am Abend war lecker. Preis- Leistungs-Verhältnis insgesamt ist gut, ich kann Pension und Restaurant empfehlen 👍.

Super gastfreundlich, wurden schon eine Dreiviertelstunde vor Öffnung mit Speisen und Getränken versorgt. Dankeschön

Sehr sehr schön gelegen an der Elber. Essen war wie immer Bombe.wir sind aus Wurzen extra zu Faddel gefahren um ihm mal zu besuchen,seid dem er nicht mehr hier ist. Kann es nur jeden weiter empfelen. Die die Gästezimmer kann ich nicht bewerten aber die Lokaiten ist auch sehr zum verweilen geeignet.

Das innere Ambiente ist wenig einladend. Eng und zu voll gestopft. Das Essen war ok, wer etwas besonderes erwartet, wird enttäuscht. Wir hatten als große Gruppe ein Tisch für 34 Personen bestellt, davon hatten 4 Personen kurzfristig abgesagt. Trotzdem waren nicht ausreichend Tische und Stühle vorbereitet. Das bestellte Büffet kam nach und nach. Die vegetarischen Gäste mussten eine Weile warten bis die bestellte Platte fertig war. Die ersten Getränke waren auch sehr Pfad, bzw schon angegangen. Die Bedienung war sehr langsam und man war schneller wenn man sich selbst etwas bestellt hat.

Wir haben hier zu Mittag gegessen und waren begeistert! Große, leckere und preisgünstige Portionen. Zudem ein äußerst netter und kinderlieber Kellner. Top Location 👍👍👍

As already everyone mentioned, the staff were so friendly and nice. The location was perfect, near Elbe river. The grilled fillet was a bit salty but garlic soup was fantastic.

Prachtig uitzicht over de Elbe. De 'tiramisu' is erg bijzonder lekker. Prima eten (zeker niet duur) en drankjes (en gebak). Gezellig (vrolijke) bediening. Kom ook!

Standen mit dem Wohnwagen ca. 50 Meter entfernt, locker flockiger Kellner, Terrasse sehr schön zur Elbe gerichtet. Essen war hervorragend. Rigatoni al forno meiner Frau war geschmacklich das beste seit langem. Mein Tunfischsalat sehr frisch, gut gewürzt, alles in allem empfehlenswert.

Sehr nettes Personal, aufmerksam und geht sofort auf Kundenwunsch ein. Das Tiramisu ist selbstgemacht , einfach nur lecker, echt der Hammer.

Ruhige Lage direkt an der Elbe. Angeschlossene Gastronomie. Großes Zimmer. Bequeme Betten.

Lecker mediterane Küche mit netten Gastgebern und tollem Blick auf die Elbe

Sehr gut nur zu empfehlen, Gutes Preis Leistung Verhältnis, lange nicht so gute Leber gegessen, Freundlich zuvorkommend, Livemusik gab es den Abend auch spontan bei gutem Wetter Außengastronomie mit Elbblick . Sehr gerne wieder

Nachdem wir Mittags auf ein erfrischendes Bierchen einen Stopp eingelegt haben, sind wir am Abend gleich noch einmal eingekehrt, sehr Gastfreundlich, nett und eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Essen war sehr gut, wir würden hier immer wieder einen Stopp einlegen.
