Ein ganz tolles Restaurant. Das Essen schmeckt fantastisch und der Service ist erstklassig.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Preise sind moderat. Es könnte irgendwie etwas wärmer innen wirken es ist alles sehr clean. Wichtig wäre noch bei der Grillpfanne zu erwähnen dass eine Beilage dazu bestellt werden müsste. Leider hatten wir im Wein Weinstein das war nicht so prickelnd.

Sehr leckeres Essen, freundliche Bedienung, waren Ostern da und hatte die Befürchtung das es lange dauern könnte weil voll besetzt war, wir bekamen unser Essen in Rekordzeit, gehen heute Abend gleich noch mal dahin

So eine super Location! Schick eingerichtet. Super Personal. Sehr sauber(auch die Toiletten:-)) Und das Essen einfach nur Spitze! Am Ende steht Gastfreundschaft ganz oben: ein Esspresso oder Grappa aufs Haus und das bevor die Rechnung bezahlt ist...wo gibt es das heute noch?! Danke!!!

Wir waren schon einige Male hier essen. In einem schönen Ambiente kann man gutes Essen zu einem sehr guten Preis genießen. Ist auf jeden Fall eine Top Empfehlung für alle Besucher der schönen Stadt Torgau und natürlich auch für alle Torgauer. Besonders an Wochenenden und Feiertagen sollte man aber auf jeden Fall reservieren.

Auf den ersten Blick wirkt der Ort sehr vornehm – ein historisches Gebäude mit freigelegter Architektur. Das schafft eine wirklich einzigartige Atmosphäre. Im Sommer lockt ein großer Sommergarten Einheimische und Touristen gleichermaßen an. Das Lokal liegt mitten im historischen Torgau. Serviert werden köstliche Pralinen, mit Zitronensaft beträufelte Oliven, Dip und Brot. Die Küche ist typisch deutsch, was ich persönlich sehr schätze und empfehlen kann. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wenn Sie dort sind, sollten Sie unbedingt die Toilette im tiefen Keller benutzen; es gibt auch einen Aufzug. Ein Besuch lohnt sich! Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Wir kehren jedes Jahr nach dem Weihnachtsmarktbesuch hier ein und sind immer wieder sehr zufrieden. Essen lecker und reichlich und ein toller Service. Würde aber am Wochenende eine Reservierung empfehlen, da das Restaurant immer sehr gut besucht ist.

Ein sehr gut geführtes Restaurant, mit großen Innenbereich, WC,sowie einem großen Außenbereich, es gibt eine sehr gute interessante Speisekarte mit Speisen und Getränken, die Mitarbeiter sind stets Aufmerksam, nett und freundlich, sehr schönes Ambiente und Ausflugsziel, gut Atmosphäre, alles sehr sauber und ordentlich, Mitarbeiter kamen mehrmals vorbei und Erkundigten sich danach ob alles OK ist, hatten hier einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt, kommen immer wieder gern vorbei, können wir nur weiterempfehlen, Vielen Dank.

Essen zu 5. an einem Freitag zur Mittagszeit. Wir waren tatsächlich die einzigen Gäste und somit hätte der scheinbar lustlose Kellner genug Zeit gehabt sich uns voll und ganz zu widmen. War wohl einfach nicht sein Tag. Die Getränke und das Essen kamen recht zügig. Die Preise der Gerichte liegen bei 18 - ... Euro. Die Portionen sind nicht so groß und ich dachte wirklich, dass es nicht reicht, aber nein, war genau richtig. Geschmacklich sehr lecker. Frisch und perfekt gewürzt. Ich hätte das Schweinesteak mit Pilzen und Pommes. Leider habe ich das Foto vergessen 😁. Tolles, gehobeneres Ambiente. Die Toiletten waren auch sauber und großzügig. Kann ruhig erwähnt werden, ist nicht überall so. Ich kann das Restaurant empfehlen und würde wieder dort essen gehen.

Esst nicht die Rippchen, nur gekocht, nicht gebraten oder gegrillt, nicht mariniert oder sonstig gewürzt. War quasi nicht essbar.

Essen war lecker, ausreichend warm serviert, man hatte eine super Auswahl und Änderungswünsche wurden auch umgesetzt... Service kann verbessert werden, Getränkewünsche sollten rechtzeitig erfragt werden und leider wurden 3 Essen vergessen, aber relativ zügig nachserviert... Es wirkt im Restaurant sehr kühl, könnte durch Farbe und Licht gemütlicher gestaltet werden...

Wir hatten das Glück jetzt Ende Oktober 2025 noch die letzten Steinpilze in den vielen Gerichten zu finden. Steinpilze (150Gramm) mit einem „medium rare“ Rumpsteak (200 Gramm) so wie 2 x gebratene Steinpilze mit Zwiebel und Speck, 1x mit Salzkartoffel und 1x mit Pommes. Einfaches und ehrliches Fazit: sensationell lecker! Als leckeren Gruß vom Koch gab es übrigens sehr schmackhafte grüne und dunkle Oliven mit einem leckeren leicht Knoblauch lastigen Brotaufstrich und ein paar Scheiben frisches Weißbrot. Die 3 mal Espresso gingen schließlich auch noch auf‘s Haus - vielen herzlichen Dank für den perfekten Service und das fantastische Essen! 5 Sterne plus

Hervorragendes Essen, sehr freundliches und höfliches Personal, sauberes und angenehmes Ambiente, faire Preise. Der Grillteller, hier mit Beilage Kartoffelecken ,war ein Genuss. Wir können den Ratskeller zu 100% empfehlen und kommen gern wieder.

Wir waren zum Abendessen im Ratskeller, dass Essen war in Ordnung, auch preislich passte es. Die Bedienung war etwas unausgeglichen, was der eine zuviel hat, fehlte beim anderen. Man wird meist erst nach Aufforderung bedient. Positiv hervorzuheben, ist der barrierefreie Zugang zur Toilette, wirklich lobenswert!

Gutes Essen und schnelle Bedienung.

We felt very comfortable at the Ratskeller. The friendly service was very attentive, but not intrusive. Everything was very clean and nicely decorated. Even though we arrived late in the evening after our bike ride, we were surprised with a delicious menu. The restaurant is centrally located in Torgau's old town, right on the market square.

The food is mostly very good, except for my chanterelle mushrooms, which were already cold. Parking is a pain depending on the time of day, and there's nothing on-site. The main problem is the service. Even though there were maybe only 20 people there, there was no service. You constantly have to chase the waiters. Pouring and serving are also done across tables and people, like in a genetic pizzeria—the whole thing is completely out of place and very unpleasant. The service used to be much more adequate; we've known the place for a long time. The ambience is borderline too loud, but you don't have to shout yet.

The food is delicious and the waiters are very nice and the service

The food was truly delicious. We went there as a family to celebrate my great-grandmother's birthday, but we all felt a little uncomfortable with the waiters staring at us when they weren't busy. I felt very uncomfortable and watched while eating. That's why I'm only giving it 2 stars for service!

I can only say positive things: the food and drinks were very good, the staff were attentive, and the restrooms, which can be reached via stairs or elevator, were very clean. And the prices were reasonable, too.

The service is very good. The meat is served to your desired doneness. The taste is impeccable, and you're sitting on Torgau's beautiful market square.

There were four of us there, the whole family. The waiter who rolled out the dressing room beers to us had previously leaned his arm over the counter, looking bored. When he brought us the menu, he gave us all a very unfriendly look. Another waiter, who served the food later, was much friendlier. The accompanying appetizer, dipping sauce, and white bread in the basket were very tasty. The food arrived on time and tasted excellent. The elevator to the restrooms in the basement was also very commendable. Everything was spotless. But the cashier and the bill delivery took forever. It was impossible, because neither the front door, facing the market, nor the inside of the restaurant was full. But the delicious almond-flavored amaretto scored even higher.

Very tasty food and attentive service

Very centrally located restaurant without direct parking spaces, whose service staff are all Albanians. Card payment is possible. We found the elevator to the very clean and exceptionally large toilets unusually good. Get a table straight away even without a reservation. The food came quickly. I would particularly like to praise the very attentive and friendly service staff. Very unusual for the general focus on German cuisine were the appetizers that were served, with which the already tiny waiting time for food flew by, delicious baguette with tzatziki-like cream and aromatic pickled olives - but given the very hard-working southern European staff, that makes total sense. Drinks came immediately. The wonderful espresso at the end had an exceptional crèma and was made from heavily roasted Arabica beans. Perfect contrast to the almond biscuit. Grilled skewers, baked potatoes and fries were convincing. Unfortunately, the burger patty was only cooked medium rare instead of well as desired. The pork schnitzel was absolutely perfect, thin, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and tasty. The very clear white asparagus (from the asparagus menu at least!) was perfectly prepared and also had a convincing taste. A hollandaise sauce was ordered - but what was delivered was a very heavy cream sauce that tasted completely different. Good, but not what was ordered. The fried potatoes according to the menu were a complete disappointment for which I have to deduct a star. For anyone whose favorite dish is fried potatoes, I advise against it and the menu should also be changed because it is absolutely misleading. They were loveless potatoes in skins with a rosemary potato look but without garlic, rosemary, butter and low in salt. At least there were delicious fried onions. Hunger drove it in.:-( In German cuisine, we mean fried potatoes with at least one crispy side, as well as onions and diced bacon fried in the same pan. I would have waited longer if they had really been fried potatoes. We didn't dare mention this when we were asked at the end whether everything had been OK - on the one hand, we were afraid that the German language skills of the service staff wouldn't be sufficient, and on the other hand, we were unsure whether they were made from one Other operators from the gastronomic culture would be able to understand this complaint. We didn't want them to lose face or get the impression that Germans were just complaining, because the service was absolutely impeccable and the gastronomic standard was undoubtedly very good. All in all, a good location for lunch that I would happily recommend.

Showed up quite spontaneously on Easter Monday after the main lunch time - a little loud at first but then very pleasantly quiet. The food was great! It's been a long time since I've had such delicious grilled vegetables :) the asparagus soup was also really great. Price performance is right - 120 euros for 4 people including two starters. Keep it up - we'll be happy to come back.

At the beginning there is the choice of career!!!! A great restaurant with really good food. However, the service was very appalling. There were two of us and we didn't have a reservation. We were greeted with a roll of the eyes by the waiter/service person. These are the moments when you would like to turn around again, but we had read in some reviews that you can eat well here. This was also the case, but after this behavior from an arrogant service person, we will avoid this restaurant in the future. It's a shame actually.

A “well” accompanied by a shrug of the shoulders best describes the restaurant. At least there was one highlight, and that was the smallest Wiener Schnitzel we ever saw. The service was rather inflexible, and when we made a (actually banal) special request there was only a short “no” in response. The food was at a very good company canteen level, unfortunately the prices are not, but that now applies to almost all locations. We cannot make a recommendation.

If the waiter had been a little friendlier and not so "annoyed", then it would have been better. But, the food and service were good. You probably have to sit there Out Couture, who knows. In any case, when I had any questions or requests, I saw (heard) “that’s annoying.” But otherwise good food.

This restaurant is definitely recommended. We have never had such delicious food so quickly. We easily ordered a table online, which is highly recommended as it was very full. We will definitely eat here again!

I've still been super satisfied so far. The restaurant offers a nice atmosphere, the staff is super friendly and in summer it's great to sit on the terrace. The menu is clearly skewed toward meat. And what can I say except that it has always been so delicious!!! I have a clear recommendation.

Had a rump steak here in the 400 g version. Unfortunately the cooking point was not hit and with tendons. The manager probably didn't want service at the table, so it was difficult to order more drinks or something similar when the house was full. Unfortunately, this restaurant failed our visit.

Portions could be a little larger but still very tasty

I came here on a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised by both the restaurant itself and the food. There was a greeting from the kitchen - olives with bread and cottage cheese, very attentive. For the main course I had 350g rump steak and the potato wedges. I ordered the meat medium rare and it was spot on. The quality of the meat was excellent and it was one of the best rump steaks I have eaten, if not the best. The potato wedges were also very tasty. Big recommendation goes out to everyone who wants to eat here :)

Op onze fietstocht van Dresden naar Magdenburg overnachten we in Torgau. Op een mooiplein in het centrum van Torgau zit dit restaurant. Heel goed eten en zeer goede bediening. Met daarbij een mooi uitzicht over het plein.

Delicious food, but you have to pay extra for every little thing that you actually know as part of it. The staff is aware of the good food and lets you feel it.

Simply great, spontaneously went on a Saturday evening without a reservation. We received a very friendly welcome, it was very full but a table for 4 was possible. Great food, served quickly, all the waiters who came were so nice and funny. Delicious at its best. There was meat, fish, salads. Great price. And finally, liqueurs and espresso on the house. Ratskeller nilot has 4 more fans. Repeat offender!!!!😁

We were impressed by the pleasant atmosphere and the quick service. There is nothing to complain about in terms of price-performance ratio. However, the portions could be a bit more generous. For the dish asparagus with potatoes there were 5 narrow asparagus spears and 3 mini potatoes. Then it's better to add 1 or 2 euros and have a little more on your plate. Please understand this as benevolent criticism. By the way, we thought the greeting from the kitchen and the schnapps at the end were great. Conclusion: We would be happy to come back if we get the chance. Clear recommendation.

Fantastic food in a great atmosphere and great service! I was very surprised that there was such a good restaurant in Torgau with such finely seasoned food. Even the vegetarian noodles were excellently prepared in the otherwise meat-heavy restaurant. A warm recommendation from me! The toilets are also very new and of very high quality, but still retain the charm of the old walls.

Great restaurant, very tasty and appetizing food. We were a large group of 30 people, food was pre-ordered and everything worked out great. Service staff were present at every point and were very concerned about our well-being. All extra sausages were fulfilled. All in all a very good restaurant where you can feel very comfortable.

Unfortunately, the Christmas dinner was a bland dish and the taste was far away from the usual standard of the restaurant. There was no relationship between price and performance. Unfortunately, many guests were processed quickly!

Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht. Wir bestellten alle aus der Sonderkarte. Zunge bzw. Schweinemedaillons mit Bratkartoffeln und Pfifferlingen. Schade um die große Portion Pfifferlinge. Pfifferlinge völlig uberwuerzt, Kartoffeln genauso, Schweinefilet trocken. Das Essen kam unglaublich schnell und so schmeckte es auch. Sorry, aber mit so guten Waren so umzugehen, war nicht gut. Auf die Reklamation würde nicht eingegangen und da nützt auch kein Getränk vom Haus. Ich war das erste und letzte Mal dort.

Extrem gutes Essen zu angenehmen Preisen. Vielfältiges Angebot. Mehrere Variationen mit 150g Pfifferlingen, sehr zu empfehlen. Steak und Medallions kross gegrillt. Ein Genuss. Reservierung ist zu empfehlen.
