Brauhaus & Hotel "Alter Elbehof" in Torgau

We ended up here home from the eye doctor in Torgau looking for an inexpensive lunch and we were very satisfied... the service was great, the dish was plentiful and inexpensive. Really great - will continue to be propagated 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Bis zur Nachspeise war alles okay. Als Nachspeise bestellte ich mir einen Schwarzwälder Kirsch Eisbecher. Besonderheit in diesem Lokal war, dass im Eisbecher ein rundes Magnet mit einem Durchmesser von ca. 3 cm war. Eisbecher wurde zwar zurückgenommen und es wurde ein neuer Eisbecher gebracht, aber kein Wort einer Entschuldigung vom Personal. Ist wohl Normal?Sehr enttäuschend.

There was a magnet in the sundae, about 3 cm in diameter. I was wondering what I had in my mouth. No apologies from the staff. Never again.

A cozy interior and delicious food, both starter and main course (onion soup, roast venison). A definite recommendation in the region.

The beer was a bit too carbonated for me, otherwise a good visit.

On January 25th, 2025 we went to lunch at the "Alten Elbehof Werdau" with family and friends on the occasion of our birthday. The service was very polite, discreet, competent and quick. The meals were very tasty and of excellent quality. The room is very tastefully decorated and the table is very attractively decorated. We felt very comfortable and the stay was a great experience for us. We can only highly recommend the restaurant and the team. Many thanks again to the employees for this successful stay. Auch dieses Mal haben wir wieder sehr gut im alten Elbhof in Werdau gegessen. Selbst gebrautes Bier, verschiedene Säfte und leckere Hausmannskost vom aller Feinsten. 😋 Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A cozy, rustic atmosphere, our own brewed beer, which is highly recommended. The food was also very good. The service was good. The kitchen is definitely recommended.

We had a great tour of the Graditz Stud and stayed overnight at the Hotel Alter Elbehof. Price performance is simply top. Really clean, great breakfast was included in the price. The staff was friendly throughout. We reserved dinner at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised. There were big celebrations on site but we didn't notice.

The roast venison was great, as was the home-brewed pilsner and the friendly service.

A lovingly furnished homestead and restaurant with a wonderful rural setting around it. We were in the ballroom for a local wedding. The people who took care of the service were totally friendly, courteous and attentive. Immediately upon arrival you felt comfortable and in good hands. The interior features beautiful murals, high-quality furniture and warm wood. Food and accommodation were also impeccable.

Unfortunately only one star. We were passing through last week and had chosen the Alter Elbhof as a stopover. Unfortunately a closed event took place. This could have been pointed out on the website.

I haven't been able to experience such great cuisine in a long time. The food is excellent and at very reasonable prices. The beer brewed there is also super tasty.

Absolute recommendation. Due to two large events, parking spaces were scarce and, understandably, we had to wait a little longer. BUT the food was simply terrific, the service was always friendly and quick and the atmosphere was rustic and cozy. I will definitely stop by again.

We can confirm the slogan “Fresh cuisine from the country”. You can really taste it here. :-) We come here very sporadically and are always impressed by the pleasant atmosphere, the fresh dishes and the friendly service. The Alte Elbehof is worth recommending.

When we discovered the old Elbehof over a year ago, we immediately chose it as our favorite restaurant. And rightly so. So far we are very reluctant to leave this place, but very happy. The food is not only delicious, but also attractively presented. Some people around here can learn a lot from this. From the individual ingredients you can taste the quality and also the love of the cook for their profession. Here you will always receive a friendly welcome and farewell. And you always enjoy coming back. Oh yes, the wines are excellent too. And when my wife was pregnant, she was offered the opportunity to serve every cocktail non-alcoholic. THIS is how gastronomy works! By the way, the outdoor area is a dream, rustic with a view of Torgau Castle. It doesn't get any better than that. Many thanks to the lovely team at Alten Elbehof!

We would have liked to come by based on a recommendation, as reservations are required, we called, but no one answered. We then used the reservation portal, which promised “immediate feedback,” which was not forthcoming. Maybe add what you mean by “immediately” on the website, then you as a customer will have planning security and can look around for alternatives.

I can really only recommend it.

Nach einem langen Tag auf dem Fahrrad will man etwas ordentliches zu essen haben, ein gutes Bier und das ganze gern in angenehmer Umgebung. Hat hier alles gut geklappt. Ein sehr schöner Biergarten mit guter Küche (der Koch ist wohl noch nicht lange da, macht es aber sehr gut) und hausgebrautem Bier. Ziemlich voll, an manchen anderen Tischen schien es etwas zu dauern mit dem Essen.

Very idyllic location, attentive and friendly service! The food was excellent at a reasonable price. All dishes are freshly prepared with love. We had chanterelle soup, salad with turkey strips and a game dish. It was all delicious. We would definitely like to come back.

Idyllically located a little away from Torgau. Great location with good service. And towards the back there are nice tables outside and you can also see Hartenfels Castle in Torgau.

We had dinner with you on two consecutive Thursdays around 6 p.m. On the first one (June 6th) we felt very comfortable with friendly, fast service and good food. Payment by credit card, including TIP, was possible. On June 13th then the slightly different idea, a not-so-good-humoured waitress, not particularly eager. Payment by credit card is not possible there, and if so only with an extra fee. When we questioned this, the cashier became snappy. An extra fee would probably be one-off. We probably won't come back straight away.

From the food to the beer to the friendly service, we really liked everything.

Great inn with young owners. We enjoyed all the dishes very much and were beautifully prepared. The portions are large, which is a good thing. Very nice large outdoor area with parasols. We didn't really like the home-brewed beer. There is a small sandpit and swings for children. Keep it up.

Despite many obviously free places, we were turned away with the words “nothing is available at the moment”. No effort was made to find a solution.

Well-kept restaurant with very friendly staff not far from Torgau. The journey is worth it. Even though we showed up an hour before our reserved appointment, we were immediately seated at a table in the shady beer garden behind the restaurant. This is what came to us Very convenient given the wonderful weather. It wasn't difficult for us to choose the food and drinks, because the menu says - seasonal - the asparagus dishes we were after are right on the first page and a little later they were lovingly arranged on the table in front of us. The portions are very generous, everything tasted very good and the price-performance ratio is right. What more do you want? Thank you for the hospitality. Greetings also to the lovely house cat, who got a few pets and treats from us at the table before lying down to rest on the neighboring chair in the midday sun. We would be happy to come back and would be happy to recommend the restaurant.

We are always amazed by the kitchen, whether inside or outside, it is pleasant everywhere. Whenever we are in the area, we try to plan it so that we can eat right there 🤭. Sometimes it's (understandably) difficult to get a spot, so it's best to call ahead 😉! I think the prices are totally okay too! All in all highly recommended !!!

Reserved a table there for Mother's Day. Was a direct hit. We were thrilled. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The ambience was very tasteful and inviting. Have an in-house brewery. The freshly tapped beer was excellent and was very tasty. Likewise the food, the asparagus salad as a starter is also highly recommended and aromatic. The main courses (roast venison, schnitzel) were sumptuous, fresh and delicious. Priced completely okay for this excellent quality. Rich menu, something for everyone. Afterwards, it's worth taking a digestive walk in the countryside to the Elbe just around the corner. Would love to come back. Clear recommendation!

Very good food. Very nice attentive service. We are completely satisfied and will definitely come back despite the long journey. I think it would definitely make sense to reserve a table in advance. Today we were lucky to get a table without a reservation. Things were different for us too. Surely all the other guests like to come back again and again and so it is often full.

The food was super tasty, the price was mega fair for the large portions and despite the parallel wedding event, the service was always there when something was missing. The ambience and the home-brewed beer also leave nothing to be desired.

The guest rooms have a very nice atmosphere. But the food is also recommended. The rich selection on the menu promises that there is something for everyone. The food I ordered was very tasty. Of course there was a beer made in this brewery, which was also quite good.

Wir waren heute zur Silvesterveranstaltung gewesen und bedanken uns beim ganzen Team für den hervorragenden Service dem super leckeren Essen es war ein schöner Abend gewesen mit toller Läsershow und schöner Tanzmusik. Vielen lieben Dank und wir wünschen euch immer ein Haus voller Gäste.

Wir waren das erste Mal zur Silvesterfeier 2023 hier.Tolle Veranstaltung mit super Buffet,was keine Wünsche offen ließ.Nette Atmosphäre, super umsichtiges und nettes Personal,tolle durchgehend tanzbare Musik vom DJ.Vielen herzlichen Dank dem gesamten Team für die tolle Veranstaltung.Wir kommen am 31.12.24 auf jeden Fall wieder zur Feier und auch sonst gerne zum Essen.

Essen TOP - Service FLOP !!! Kellner waren heute an Unfreundlichkeit nicht zu übertreffen. Nach 30 Minuten wurde die Bestellung endlich aufgenommen. Nach 1,5 h hatten wir dann unser Essen bekommen. Aufgrund der Kellner für uns nicht wieder!

Wir sind schon sehr oft hier zum Essen gewesen, haben sogar eine Hochzeit hier gefeiert. Alles war bisher zu unser vollsten Zufriedenheit. Aber an Weihnachten hat sich dieser positive Eindruck geändert. Tischbestellung für 4 Personen war gebucht, leider ist eine Person kurzfristig ausgefallen, quasi von einem Tag zum anderen.. Es wurde eine Aufwandsentschädigung von 15 Euro berechnet (wurde bei der Buchung auch mitgeteilt), obwohl wir das Essen ( ca 19 €) sowie eine grosse Flasche Bier, 10,- € für die nicht anwesende Person zusätzlich mitgenommen haben. Meiner Meinung nach ist für die Wirtschaft kein finanzieller Schaden entstanden, wie es uns von der Chefin erklärt wurde. Darüber könnte man streiten. Uns war die Diskussion dann doch zu nervig und wir haben die 15 € bezahlt.. Aber für uns ist klar, nächstes Weihnachten suchen wir uns ein anderes Lokal...

Corona bedingt sind 3 (2 Erwachsenen, ein 7 Monate altes Kind) von geplant 14 Gästen nicht angereist. Dafür wollte die Gastwirtin 45 € (15€pro Person) "Ausfallgeld" haben. Nach intensiver Diskussion wurde für das Baby der Preis erlassen. Auf die restlichen 30€ bestand die Servicekraft. Die Chefin war angeblich nicht vor Ort. Dieses Prozedere wurde vorab nicht kommuniziert und es wurde Essen a la carte bestellt. D. h. es gab keine vorbereiteten Menüs, die diesen Preis rechtfertigen. Die Gäste hätten ja auch nur Getränke oder eine wesentlich günstiger Vor- oder Nachspeise bestellen können... Daß sich die Chefin den Diskussionen nicht selbst stellte und ihren (sehr höflichen und guten) Angestellten und den Gästen damit das Weihnachtsfest vermiest hat, ist sehr schade (um es höflich auszudrücken). Der Gastwirtin scheint die Gesundheit Ihrer Angestellten und den anderen Gäste egal zu sein.... Da die Preise im kommenden Jahr steigen, und man sich künftig überlegen muss ob und wie oft man Essen gehen kann, wird der Alte Elbhof bestimmt nicht zu unseren Zielen gehören.

Wir hatten vorbestellt und haben hervorragend gegessen. Den einzigen Abzug gibt es, weil der Gastraum sehr hallig und dadurch laut war. Mit einer Abgrenzung und Pflanzen könnte man es beheben. Wir kommen aber trotzdem gerne wieder.

Gut bürgerliche Küche, ordentliche Portionsgröße, gut gewürzt, richtig leckeres Essen und frisch zubereitet. Personal sehr freundlich. Wir haben im Biergarten im Schatten der Bäume gesessen, sehr gemütlich. Dieses Lokal kann man nur empfehlen!

Dieser Laden ist wirklich das beste ich muss ja sagen mc Donald und burgerking und andere Restaurants sind gut aber dieses Restaurant ist das beste wenn ihr was leckeres Essen wollt geht dort hin und bestellt Wiener schnitzel mit Klöße und Bier beschte Kombo richtig Knorke

Immer wenn ich von Halle/Saale nach Hoyerswerda fahre, mache ich mit meiner Schwägerin hier zum Mittagessen Rast. Wir wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Gestern war es wieder soweit. Wir haben im Biergarten gesessen und wurden wie immer sehr freundlich bedient. Das Essen - Pilzpfanne mit Putenstreifen und Kroketten - war einfach lecker. Ich kann diesen Gasthof nur bestens weiter empfehlen

Das Restaurant und Hotel hat mehrere Highlights - die große Terrasse mit alten Bäumen, den einladenden Gastraum mit dem herrlichen Kupferbraukessel, den schönen Festsaal. Die Speisen sind fein zusammengestellt und das Gemüse al dente, so wie ich es gern esse. Absolut zu empfehlen ist natürlich das aromatisch-würzige selbstgebraute Bier. Das Brauhaus liegt direkt hinter dem Elbdamm in der Elbaue und nahe beim sehenswerten Vollblutgestüt Graditz, man kann seinen Ausflug auch noch weiter verlängern zu den Ostelbischen Schlössern und Parks oder die Renaissancestadt Torgau.

Top Restaurant, sehr gutes Essen, schöner Biergarten, angrenzend Spielplatz für die Kleinen und Pferdekoppel am Elbdamm. Das Beste ist aber das Selbst Gebraute Bier unfiltriert schmackhaft in verschiedenen Sorten.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, es hat uns allen geschmeckt... Alles in allem war es sehr gut... Kann man definitiv weiter empfehlen...
