Gaststätte "Goldener Reiter" in Torgau

Amazing food! I had a truly amazing Lambrusco (wine) in the sun on the terrace. It was accompanied by a dish from the daily menu: Conchiglione alla mamma (stuffed and baked shell pasta). It was delicious. The flavors were well-balanced: the eggplant, the mushrooms... It was a poem. Beautifully presented and super easy to eat. Even the temperature of the dish was perfect. Bravo! The zabaione for dessert was also fresh, hot, and authentic. I'll definitely be back!

I'd gladly come back here. The food is remarkably good (very good!). The staff is competent, attentive, and very friendly. I'm already looking forward to next year, when we have another family reunion. And we'll be back at Herr Käthe's again.

The food was delicious, served hot enough, there was a great selection, and they accommodated our special requests. Service could be improved; drink orders should be taken in advance, and unfortunately, three meals were forgotten, but they were served relatively quickly. The restaurant feels very cold and could be made more inviting with better lighting and color.

A nice little hotel with good food. The food was excellent. Portions were very generous and everything tasted great. Special requests, even for large orders, were easily accommodated. The hotel rooms are small but adequate. The bathroom is a good size. Breakfast at the hotel is rather basic. There are rolls, some sandwiches, and freshly boiled eggs. It's fine for a small village pub, but for a hotel, there could be a bit more. Otherwise, everything went smoothly.
