We ordered takeout. It was quite busy. The hunter's schnitzel was OK, as was the mushroom sauce. Unfortunately, there weren't enough croquettes for the large schnitzel. Solyanka was incredibly delicious. Excellent value for money.

I celebrated my 50th birthday a few days ago with 25 guests at the "Mohrrübe." I would like to thank the entire team from the bottom of my heart. It was perfect!!! Starting with the beautiful and thoughtful decorations, the super delicious buffet, the incredibly fast and friendly service... Every wish (even the unspoken ones 😉) was fulfilled. I celebrated my milestone birthday here on August 2, 2025. Delicious food (buffet) and excellent service – it was a wonderful celebration that my birthday guests and I thoroughly enjoyed. We all felt very comfortable here. A big thank you to the hosts and their wonderful team; highly recommended! 👍👍👍!

All I can say is, you can eat like your mom made it! Very, very tasty food, freshly prepared. At prices that are still down to earth. The value for money is really good. The service was friendly and attentive, but there's still room for improvement. We had to wait 20 minutes for our bill (card payment). Only after reminding them again did we get the answer that the card reader wasn't charged yet and asked if we could pay in cash. That could have been shortened.

We felt very comfortable and the portions were generous, the food was homely.

Small garden restaurant with home-style cooking at fair prices. They even make their own schnitzel. The staff is really friendly. Definitely a must-visit if you're staying at the campsite (just a 10-minute walk). We thought it was great and we'll see you again, thumbs up.

We celebrated our son's confirmation at the Mohrrübe garden restaurant on June 14, 2025, and were deeply touched. By the many details on the coffee table, the floral arrangements, the homemade cake, and the torte, which was a phenomenal surprise. Everything was handmade by Mrs. Hillger, looked fantastic and tasted amazing. Everyone was thrilled with the evening buffet; there was a plentiful selection and everything was delicious. For us and our son, it was a dream setting, sitting under the old trees, being served with such warmth and having our every wish fulfilled. As the young man said: "It's almost like a little vacation here." I think that says it all. Thank you to the entire team; it was perfect for us.

Familienfeier :) Womöglich die gleiche wie von der Bewertung unter mir ! ;) Essen und Ambiente waren super . Der Kellner sehr nett und hat die bestellten Getränke schnell gebracht . Ja vielleicht war er etwas zu übereifrig mit dem abräumen .. Aber man hat immer einen Mund zum reden ;) Ich konnte mein Essen sowohl auch meine Kuchen in Ruhe genießen ! Und auch das Mittagessen stand lange genug am buffet und wurde nicht sofort weggeräumt . Ja und vielleicht musste man 1-2 mal nach der Milch oder Zucker fragen .. aber vielleicht sollte man den job erstmal selbst machen bevor man sich über Kleinigkeiten aufregt oder deswegen eine schlechte Bewertung hinterlässt .

Familienfeier , Essen war lecker und sehr gut zubereitet. Leider wurde mittags nach kurzer Zeit schon die Teller weggeräumt. Man musste Zeller festhalten um sich noch eine weitere Speise zu gönnen . Auch da musste man schnell sein ,es wurde schnell weggeräumt . Wir baten es noch etwas stehen zu lassen . Kaffeezeit ,Kaffee wurde eingegossen , dann erst der Kuchen zum Büfett gebracht , an Milch und Zucker musste dreimal erinnert werden . Ich hatte mein erstes Stück noch nicht ganz aufgegessen , da wurde wieder abgeräumt . Wer zwei genommen hatte , musste schnell essen ! Die Kuchen waren schmackhaft . Die Schwarzwälder Kirsch zu weich . Man bekam nur einen Maulwurfhügel auf den Teller ! Schade ! Service und Organisation hinterlassen einen sehr schlechten Eindruck .

Great people, great service, great drinks and great food.

We visited a friend in Torgau on the last weekend in March. On your recommendation, we went to the “Mohrrübe” for lunch. We were really really excited! Very nice and fast service. The menu is relatively small, but completely sufficient. The quality of the food was top! And the price/performance ratio was great! We haven't eaten so well and so cheaply in a restaurant for a long time.

Saturday evening we decided to go out for dinner. Despite the fact that the inn was quite busy, we were warmly welcomed. We sat outside and ordered something to eat. The waitress took our order very friendly, despite the somewhat stressful time. After about 25 minutes our food arrived and it was very tasty. All in all it was a nice stay.

We spent a great evening in the Mohrrübe restaurant. Actually it was a closed party, but the landlady still organized a place for us. The food was delicious and plentiful. Kudos to the still very young chef! The Greek one is particularly courteous and personable Waiter who was always concerned about our well-being. He conjured up the best espresso martini for us. Late at night there was a fantastic cream puff for my husband, homemade by the landlady leeeecker.We had a great evening and wish the landlady and family many more satisfied guests. We all say a big compliment to the team at the restaurant "Mohrrübe" in Torgau, very good home cooking, everything hot, only the quality of the fried potatoes could be improved, so only 4 ⭐e....All other dishes were perfectly prepared for us, French schnitzel 😋👍, Mexico pan so delicious, Thuringian Rostbrädel just great.... last but not least, the salads and dressing are definitely recommended as a starter 🥗.. ..freshly prepared 👌👌.As dessert, the recommended ice cream offer 😋😋 there were no words for it...it was eaten 😃... drinks well chilled in this warmth 👍 We'd love to come back... soon! All the best until then!! 🍀

This restaurant used to be a clubhouse. Now you can eat very well here And it's wonderful to sit outside.

We met here for a family reunion. The service is great, attentive if a drink is empty and the food was really good. Such a perfect schnitzel, crispy, well seasoned and the portion is very large for the price. Cake is also large in quantity and very tasty. There are 4 beers on tap. The beer garden also invites you to linger in summer. We'd love to eat there again.

Waited almost 2 hours for food, no compromise on price. Steak ou four has zero points for taste. The steak was briefly fried like roast pork.

That was something to break the habit of. The waiter was very quick and friendly, but waited almost 2 hours for the food we ordered, even though not all the tables were occupied and there wasn't a family celebration or anything like that. They also didn't point out that it would be almost coffee time by lunchtime is finally on the table. Well, you think that if it lasts for a long time it will be good, unfortunately not. The steak ou four tasted like a thick slice of roast pork, briefly fried again with ragout fin gratinated, which wasn't anything special either. Pity for my money.

Small restaurant on the edge of a garden. Accessible only via narrow streets with private parking spaces. However, the parking lot is only available for a limited number of vehicles. The range of food and drinks is clear. The dishes are obviously freshly prepared. There is seating inside and outside. The service staff is very friendly and always concerned about the well-being of the guest. Also an ideal place for small celebrations.

We celebrated our wedding on April 24th, 2024 in the “Mohrrübe”. We are very enthusiastic about the food and the friendly and very accommodating nature of the entire staff.
