“the word barbecue has been redefined” This statement has been true for me at least since I was able to experience the absolutely fantastic coastal BBQ in the great restaurant Nautica in the really beautiful Strandhotel Zingst last Saturday. It was a completely perfect evening and to this day one of my absolute highlights of 2024. An indescribably great offer consisting of fantastic side dishes (salads, potato variations, bread, baguettes, antipasti, grilled vegetables, dips/sauces and much more), incredibly delicious desserts and the best main actors in the form of fish, meat and poultry that you can only imagine . The delicacies the boss and his team enchant the guests with at this event cannot be put into words. A true master of his craft! Here the visitor can really taste the dedication and passion - you can just tell when someone enjoys what they do. I found that everything I was allowed to try was grilled and prepared to perfection. An impressive arsenal of equipment (Asado dome, still car, fire plate, smoker & charcoal tower) was used and just the sight of the preparation is pure entertainment and worth a visit. A very big thank you again to the totally friendly, tireless and always hard-working team. For me it was the best grill/BBQ experience that I can remember. I could go on raving about it forever, but at this point I'll just say - in my opinion it's 100% worth it. Full marks – clear recommendation! An unforgettable coastal BBQ experience at Nautica Restaurant My visit to the Nautica restaurant in Zingst was an absolute highlight of my vacation. The Coastal BBQ was simply outstanding and exceeded all my expectations. As soon as I entered the restaurant I was greeted by friendly and attentive service. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening by the sea. The BBQ itself was a real treat. The selection of fresh, local ingredients was impressive and the preparation on the grill was masterful. Particularly noteworthy were the delicacies from the sea, which were grilled to perfection and impressed with their freshness and spice. The meat was also of the highest quality and cooked perfectly to my liking. The side dishes were equally exquisite - from fresh salads to crusty bread and various dips that perfectly complemented each dish. The homemade BBQ sauce in particular was a taste experience in itself. I highly recommend the coastal BBQ at Nautica Restaurant. It was an evening full of culinary delights and warm hospitality. I will definitely come back! Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable evening!

THE CULINARY HIGHLIGHT IN ZINGST We had a really nice evening in the Nautica restaurant. A restaurant in a great atmosphere with tasteful furnishings. After the friendly welcome from the staff, we were assigned a very nice seat in the restaurant. The service was always friendly, fast and attentive. The menu has a nice varied selection. Here's something for every taste. As a starter we had tartare and salad. We ate both faster than we could have taken pictures - just too delicious! In the main course we had the beef fillet and the herring. Great craftsmanship and super tasty. I'd love to come here again and...see the heading!!! :-)

We've been there several times for the grill buffet and we really enjoyed it. Great grilled dishes, delicious side dishes and great desserts. The service is very good, staff friendly and attentive.

We arrived the Sunday before last and had the welcome menu for hotel guests. When we entered the restaurant, the receptionist asked us whether we would like to sit outside or inside. At first we said outside, but on the way there we noticed that there were a lot of people sitting on the terrace, so we decided to sit inside because we would like some peace and quiet. After telling the lady, we were reluctant to get a table inside because 'it was such nice weather and there were lots of people everywhere'. After we sat down, I noticed that the lady was talking to a colleague and told him loudly that we didn't want to sit outside because there were too many people and that she wasn't like that when she was young. Of course everyone can think about it however they want, but for us it wasn't exactly pleasant to hear the receptionist "complaining" about us, so we didn't feel very comfortable for the rest of the evening. The other service staff were all nice and attentive and the food was incredibly tasty.

We were not overnight guests at the beautiful Strandhotel Zingst. We reserved a table today and attended the coastal barbecue. The food was excellent. We found the friendly, attentive and friendly service staff to be very special. We found the price/performance ratio to be more than reasonable due to the excellent food.

Food excellent, great vegan alternatives (even dessert) and very nice staff. We definitely had the best meal there during our stay in Zingst.

Ruhig gelegen im Strandhotel direkt an der Seebrücke, eine entspannte und ruhige Atmosphäre. Wir saßen auf der sonnigen Terrasse zum Hotelgarten. Sehr leckeres Essen, etwas ausgefallener als in den anderen Restaurants die im Ort zu finden sind. Preis Leistung ist wirklich super und der Service lobenswert

Wenn wir verreisen, buche ich immer vorweg einige Locations, damit wir auch in den ersten Tagen nach der Anreise nicht überall die Ansage bekommen "Sorry ausgebucht!". Dabei orientiere ich mich zumeist an Empfehlungen einschlägiger Bewertungsportale. Unsere Wahl fiel u.a. auf das Restaurant Nautica, welches sich im Strandhotel Zingst befindet und auch für Nicht-Hotelgäste zugänglich ist (uns sind Hotels zu eng, wir mieten lieber Ferienhäuser). Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht!! Ein ganz hervorragender, freundlicher, empathischer Service erwartete uns. Das Essen war sehr lecker (Rumpsteak und der "ganze Blumenkohl" für meine Veggie-Frau 😉). Auch preislich sehr angemessen und völlig in Ordnung. Da haben wir vor Ort schon andere Erfahrungen gesammelt. So haben wir z.B. für einen Grappa Armarone 5,50 Euro bezahlt, am Abend zuvor bei einem Italiener für einen deutlich schlechteren Grappa 10,90 Euro!! Für uns daher unverständlich, weshalb die Location nicht überfüllt war. Vielleicht hat man von außen den Eindruck, dass man dort für viel Geld wenig bekommt? Es ist nicht so!! Natürlich sollte man vielleicht nicht in Strandkleidung auflaufen, aber der Smoking kann im Schrank bleiben. Es sitzt sich sehr schön und vor allem sehr ruhig in gepflegter Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder! 👍🏻

Das Nautica ist Teil des Hotels und sehr zu empfehlen 👍. Sehr angenehmer Service, erstklassige Speisen und das gesamte Hotel ist ein entspannter Ruhepol. Wir waren begeistert und kommen wieder ☀️👍

Wir haben im Strandhotel gewohnt und Frühstück und Abendessen im Nautica eingenommen und es war wirklich ein Genuss. Sehr schön und schmackhaft zubereitet und kredenzt mit einer extrem freundlichen und kompetenten „Frontfrau“ - sehr angenehm die Speisen zu diskutieren und unsere Auswahl zutreffen . Tolle Außenterasse und insgesamt ein gut abgestimmtes Ambiente. Preislich im oberen Drittel angesiedelt - aber es war absolut OK . Das Barbecue am Samstag war der Hammer 👍👍👏👏👏

Wir waren das erste Mal im Strandhotel Zingst. Haben zwei Mal im Restaurant Nautica zu Abend gegessen. Hatte Hirschrücken mit zwei frei wählbaren Beilagen. Hervorragend! Gestern haben wir am Barbecue Buffet teilgenommen. So was tolles habe ich noch nie erlebt. Bestimmt für alle was dabei. Top Preis Leistung Verhältnis. Und trotz Personal Mangel Top Service. Klare Empfehlung.

Tolles Essen, der Koch hat ist flexibel und zaubert auch mal was anderes. Die Bedienungen sind alle sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Wir haben nicht das täglich wechselnde Menü gewählt, sondern a la Carte gegessen. Der ganze Blumenkohl gegrillt war eine coole neue Interpretation mit Pesto!! Der Kabeljau auf Süßkartoffel Stampf war gelungen!

Super aufmerksames Restaurantteam, danke! Es wurde ein gutes Fischgericht auf Spinatbett serviert, die Fischsuppe war auch gut (wenn auch leichter Verdacht auf Conviniencebasis, wobei der Fisch sicher frisch ist). Die leckere Bärlauch-Pasta war leider gravierend überteuert. Für 25 Euro waren die darin enthaltenen Spargelstückchen schon sehr dünn geschnitten und dazu noch wenige. Daher leider nur 3 Sterne, da Preis- Leistung nicht stimmt.

Super genialer Kinderteller mit exzellent gebratenem Fisch und leckeren Gemüsesticks in leichter Sauce. Unsere Suppen waren ok: die Pastinakencreme war sehr lasch, die Rinderbrühe mit leichter Einlage gut. Sehr enttäuschend war der César-Salad: nur Eisberg und Dressing??.. naja - da empfehle ich Inspiration in anderen Restaurants. Überraschend lecker waren die vegetarischen Mii-Nudeln: sehr heiß und würzig. Echt toll. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir kommen gern wieder

Leckeres und harmonisches Menü, sehr gut abgeschmeckt, freundliches Person und passend zum Hotel Steigenberger. Gerne wieder!

Ich mache im Steigenberger Urlaub, in dieser Hotelliga erwarte ich eine entsprechende Restaurantleistung. Sowohl Halbpension als auch a la carte fasse ich als Enttäuschung zusammen. Die Karte versprüht den „Flair“ eines Bistros, dass ich in jeder Großstadt finde. Die Gerichte und Halbpensions-Menüs einfallslos, lieblos. Man kann es essen, mehr aber auch nicht. Das Wiener Schnitzel war das schlechteste seit Jahren. Ich hab’s aufgegessen, weil man wertvolles Kalbfleisch nicht vernichtet. Das arme Tier ist zum zweiten Mal in der Küche durch einen schlechten Koch gestorben. Wie gesagt, wir bewegen uns hier nicht in einer Kantine sondern im Luxussegment der Hotels. Ich kenne es im dieser Kategorie anders. Den Urlaub lasse ich mir durch die miserable Restaurantleistung nicht verderben, die Anlage und Ostsee wunderschön. Und ein Kompliment an die Hotelbar.

Bestellter Salat mit Hähnchen Streifen total lieblos mit nur Römer Salat grob geschnitten ohne weitere Salat Varianten und Kräutern Habe nirgends so einen schlecht angerichteten Salat zu einem sehr erhöhten Preis gegessen.

In Corona-Zeiten ist alles etwas anders, keine Stoffservietten - kein Salz - Besteck in Papiertüten... dennoch haben wir uns sehr gut bewirtet gefühlt als Nicht-Hausgäste und das Essen war sehr lecker. Auf die Kinder wurde mit separater Karte und extra Gruß aus der Küche sehr gut eingegangen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!
