Restaurant Nassauer Hof in Frankfurt am Main

The lighting was far too bright, there was a strong draft in the dining room, and it was freezing cold at times! I had schnitzel with fries, which was good, but the mushroom sauce was awful and there was hardly any of it – only about 2-3 tablespoons. The service was very friendly! Otherwise, a very nice pub atmosphere.

On December 28, 2025, we went with friends for a short visit to the Nassauer Hof in Zeilsheim. We sat at the bar and were served very nicely by a young man. When he finished his shift, another man with thinning hair served us, and he always looked grim as he walked by. Our group was having a very pleasant evening, and the conversations were relaxed. I tried to keep the conversation light with our new server as well, until one day this man said to me, "You're getting on my nerves." No matter how much a guest or even the server might annoy a customer, this rude, insolent, impolite, and unprofessional behavior from a restaurant owner is completely unacceptable. All my acquaintances were very shocked by this behavior. I will never go there again with anyone for food or drinks, and my acquaintances will also never visit or recommend the Nassauer Hof in Zeilsheim again.

We planned a class reunion for 16 people, but unfortunately only half showed up. However, this wasn't a problem for the restaurant owner. Good, traditional German food. We all received our food at the same time – excellent!

Unfortunately, disappointing. We were very pleased that the Nassauer Hof had reopened and that they serve traditional German cuisine. I had a schnitzel "Frankfurter Art" with fried potatoes. The portion size was decent, but the schnitzel was very greasy. The fried potatoes were extremely bland. They were sorely lacking in bacon or onions. They were edible with a generous amount of salt. The green sauce was okay, but very likely a ready-made product. For dessert, we ordered Kaiserschmarrn with raisins. The Kaiserschmarrn was really good, very light and delicious, but the raisins were a huge disappointment. They weren't preserved raisins; they were dried. As a result, the raisins were too hard and dry. The service was good; the staff was quick, friendly, and entertaining.

Absolutely delicious food! Since we have a baby at home, we ordered takeout and even received a call when the food was ready. It was simply incredible. We'd been wanting to order from here for ages because we always see the restaurant is full, and now we know why: such great German cuisine! Anyone who hasn't been here yet should definitely check it out. We'll definitely order takeout again and hope that we can dine in with our child soon 😊 Thank you for being there!

There's a lot of room for improvement on all levels. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio doesn't match the expectations.

To be quite honest, it wasn't to my taste. For example, I ordered fish and chips with potato salad for €16.80. What arrived was a plate with half a piece of fish and chips, two large spoonfuls of potato salad, and the rest was mixed green salad. Basically, it was a salad plate with fish and chips and a little bit of potato salad. I wasn't too happy about that. The taste wasn't all that great either.

How wonderful! The Nassauer Hof in Zeilsheim is open again! First impressions: a fantastic welcome, friendly service, a great owner – with such leadership, it's a success, and the staff clearly know what's good for the customers. The food is a real treat, you can eat very well here. We'll be back! Thank you so much for the delicious food and the friendly service.

Quaint atmosphere, delicious high-quality dishes, incredibly friendly owners (family-run). The Kaiserschmarrn is second to none. Finally, a restaurant with heart and good Hessian cuisine 😋 We'll definitely be back.

We were there for the grand opening and were thrilled. We ate there again recently. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. It's recommended to reserve a table, as it's very popular.

The reopening of the Nassauer Hof here in Zeilsheim was well worth the wait (3 years). A welcoming host and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The ambiance isn't Michelin-starred, but it's very clean and unpretentious. The only minor drawback is that it can get a bit noisy at times, but that's just coming from the tables. The menu is decent; there should be something for everyone. I wouldn't make a specific recommendation, as we had three different dishes and everyone was very satisfied. A word of advice: it's best to make a reservation in the evening.

It was our first time here, with the whole family. We walked in, felt right at home, and enjoyed the delicious food. And of course, the medlar liqueur at the end was a must! 🫶 Thank you, we had a wonderful birthday evening!

We found out about the Nassauer Hof on Facebook and decided to go there on a whim. We received a very friendly welcome. Unfortunately, all the tables were reserved, so we sat at the bar. No problem for us. The food was fantastic, and service is clearly a top priority here. The staff were incredibly friendly. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back.

Ever since the lovely brother and sister duo revived the Nassauer Hof in Alt-Zeilsheim, you've experienced very, very good regional and, above all, fresh cuisine there. That's how it should be,... right, ... and it goes without saying that the beer brewed with love in Kriftel by trained brewer and maltster Peter is premium, super sparkling 👍🍺.😉 For football fans, the game is also broadcast live on TV ⚽. Reservations are, of course, advisable. Keep up the good work! We were there today for the first time since the restaurant reopened in October 2025. Good German cuisine. The schnitzels were delicious – the cream sauce and the Frankfurter sauce were also delicious. For dessert, I highly recommend the Kaiserschmarrn. Service was very attentive, even if they messed things up a bit here and there.

After a long time, I'm back in a restaurant. I've eaten there twice already. It tastes very good. Portions are decent. Prices, like everywhere else, are higher than they used to be. I hope it lasts for a long time, as good restaurants are rare. Making reservations is a good idea. Their own beer is also okay. But I prefer apple wine. See you next time.

Absolutely recommended! We visited the Nassauer Hof FFM today for the first time since it reopened in October 2025. The house beer is delicious. The brewer really knows his craft. There's a truly fantastic selection of Hessian starters and main courses, as well as other German main courses and desserts. We shared a delicious Handkäs mit Musik (traditional German cheese with music) for starters. For the main course, the Nassauer Hof Schnitzel. It was truly to die for! Crispy breaded on the outside, tender meat stuffed with sauerkraut and bacon cubes in a herb cream sauce. I'll definitely have it again! For dessert, we shared a Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancake with almonds, raisins, vanilla sauce, and plum jam). This too was cooked to perfection and very, very tasty! The staff was extremely friendly, very attentive, and very personable. The drinks arrived quickly, and the food arrived at a reasonable time. Top! Simply very satisfied all around! We'll be coming more often now!

We were particularly pleasantly surprised by the attention paid to our dog – before we could even say anything, a bowl of fresh water was brought to him. Top-notch! The food was outstanding: I had the Frankfurt schnitzel – tender, flavorful, cooked to perfection. My wife had a vegan main course, which was equally impressive. The portions were perfect – not too little, not too much. The service was friendly, attentive, and authentic. You immediately notice that a well-coordinated team works here under a host with heart and character. The chef is present, personable, and takes time for his guests. A truly great restaurant with soul – we'll definitely be back!

Where do you like to eat (or be) the most? Exactly, where your dad brews the beer, presses the apple wine, and the boss is your uncle! That's exactly how it is at the brand-new Nassauer Hof (in) Frankfurt. Damn fine people! We booked a table on the second day and are still so happy. I mean, how often do classic German restaurants open these days? And such good ones that you're immediately sure you're becoming part of a loooong tradition? We had: beer and Stöffsche from Lara's dad (sorry if I didn't remember his name correctly) and Frankfurter Schnitzel, delivered in large portions even though I ordered a small portion – but billed very customer-friendly! – as well as the Nassauer Schnitzel, basically a Cordon Bleu on ecstasy. Stuffed with apple sauerkraut and apple bernaise. Not exactly light fare, but—boy, boy!—extremely light! The green sauce too: very aromatic, it couldn't be better. What a fantastic and unexpected addition to the Zeilsheim restaurant scene! We'll definitely be back and recommend the new Nassauer Hof to anyone who wants to experience the "good old days" in a fresh new guise! Well, actually: everyone!

No longer recommendable, a complete failure. Price/performance ratio beyond discussion. Unfortunately, I have to give a devastating verdict because I am so disappointed. If the owner reads this, word has gotten around that your restaurant is no longer the real thing and you feel like you've been ripped off. Your food doesn't taste good, the "quantity" has been reduced so much that you notice you're only cutting corners and you think, for example, the fries have been counted. You feel ripped off after one visit. We were there at Christmas; it wasn't busy, but we still waited over an hour for our food. We ordered salmon steaks, they were thin strips. The fact that they were supposed to be 220g was ridiculous beyond compare, the taste was a waste, with a handful of fries and the dill cream sauce being a blob of cream. Carelessly presented on the plate. Even any motorway service station could do better. All this for almost €18 per person is a disgrace! I've rarely felt so ripped off while eating there. That was my last time there, and I can only advise everyone to save their money!

Excellent service. You feel at home there. The food tastes really good, and the portions are very generous. It's easy to finish without leaving anything or feeling overstuffed. Depending on your hunger, an appetizer or dessert is easily enough.

Four of us went to eat at the Nassauer Hof after seeing a musical. The owner personally served us. He was a very nice man, friendly, and accommodating. We all chose different dishes and were consistently impressed by the quality and taste. Excellent value for money. Unfortunately, the restaurant isn't exactly around the corner for us, otherwise we would definitely visit it more often. Thank you, and keep up the good work.

My girlfriend and I were there. I had the Cordon Bleu with fries and she had the Cevapcici with fries. We tried each other. The cevapcici were the best we have eaten so far and we have often been to Croatians. They were a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was very pleasant in the mouth. There is nothing to complain about about the Cordon Bleu. The fries were well seasoned, not soggy but not too hard either. There was also a kind of homemade flatbread for the waiting time. I've never seen anything like this before, plus a plate with oil, balsamic vinegar and an unknown ingredient. We liked it so much that we ordered more. Also worth mentioning is the home-distilled Slivovic, which warmed the lower neck area comfortably. The service was top, when asked about the food there was plenty of interesting information and the wine was served with style. I think this will be our new local bar.

A very authentic restaurant with super friendly staff and a manager. The food is of excellent quality, and special requests are catered to with great care. I always enjoy eating there.

Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal selbst der Chef bedient die Gäste und fragt ob alles okay ist. Die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend, auf Nachfrage da ich Vegetarier bin wurde für mich ein Salat mit parniertem Schafskäse gemacht und Serviert. Wir waren das erste Mal hier und können das Restaurant mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Das war mit Sicherheit nicht unser letzter Besuch.

Wir waren wirklich sehr zufrieden, der Chef sehr,sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen wunderbar und frisch. Stimmte eigentlich alles. Jedoch wenn man für 3 Tütchen Mayonnaise und 3 Tütchen Ketchup satte 4 Euro berechnet ist das für mich ein absolutes K.O Kriterium. Geht leider gar nicht. Schade.

Ich war gestern Abend mit meinem Sohn dort Essen. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis. Inhaber sehr nett. Leckeres gezapftes Bier. Die Speisekarte sehr ansprechend. Ich hatte ein Steak was auf den Punkt gebraten war und und von einer sehr guten Qualität. Das Schnitzel von meinem Sohn würde frisch geklopft und gebraten ...das klopfen habe ich aus der Küche gehört. Was ich sehr schade finde das nur 2 Tische besetzt waren bei diesem super Service und Qualität der Speisen. Bitte liebe Frankfurter...besucht dieses Restaurant es lohnt sich.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, das Essen ist perfekt. Das Rumpsteak ist mehr als genial :D die Speisekarte kann sich sehen lassen. Ich hab mehrere Gerichte probiert und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Der Inhaber ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir waren jetzt schon öfters dort und haben auch schon nach Hause bestellt.

Die Steaks sind der Hammer. Auf den Punkt zubereitet und sehr appetitlich angerichtet. Ich gehe mindestens einmal pro Woche hierher und bin noch nie enttäuscht worden. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und kompetent. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als fair. Meine Kinder kommen sogar aus Wiesbaden um hier zu essen.

Essen war sehr lecker und der Wirt sehr höflich und aufmerksam. Kann man empfehlen.

War heute zur Happy Hour, muss sagen ich war sehr zufrieden muss mich aber wundern warum es nicht angenommen wird und es einmal auszuprobieren wie es schmeckt. Ich werde wieder hin gehen auch wenn kein Happy Hour ist.

Wir waren schon öfter mit der Firma und auch als Familie dort ! Der Service ist allererste Klasse und das Essen ebenfalls mehr als zu empfehlen! Schade das es nur 5 Sterne gibt denn dieser Laden hat definitiv deutlich mehr verdient!

Haben einen Grillteller und Pljeskavica bestellt das Fleisch vom Grillteller war zäh unsere gefüllten Frikadellen bestanden aus fertig Patties die einfach mit ein bisschen Schafskäse aufeinander geklatscht wurden. Die Pommes wahren total matschig. Der Salat musste komplett nachgewürzt werden. Preis Leistung passt überhaupt nicht.

Das Hotel ist nicht zu empfehlen. Kostenfreies WLAN funktionierte nicht. Das Frühstück war ohne Obst. Die Rezeption ist nach dem Frühstück nicht besetzt. Das Schlimmste war der nächtliche Laerm durch die im gleichen Haus befindliche Shisha Bar. Von 23 bis 3 Uhr lauteste Musik. Wir waren geraedert. Dafür war der Preis von mehr als 118.-E/Nacht/3 Personen nicht angemessen.

Für mich einer der leckersten Kroaten in Ffm! Ob Schnitzel, Grillplatten oder anderes. Alles hat bisher geschmeckt. Die Sauberkeit und die freundliche Bedienung toppt das noch. Der Wirt ist Spassvogel und hat immer einen lustigen Spruch parat. Hier gehe ich wirklich gerne hin! Just-in heisst das Motto. Deswegen volle Punktzahl.

Ich komme seit vielen Jahren immer mal wieder mit einer mehr oder weniger großen Gruppe in dieses Restaurant und habe mich dort immer wohl gefühlt. Da es an Feiertagen wie z.B. Ostern und Weihnachten praktisch ausgebucht ist, gibt es dann nur eine reduzierte Speisekarte. Allerdings findet man Hauptgerichte aus allen Kategorien. Das Essen ist gut, wenn auch nicht herausragend. Auch am Service gibt es nichts zu kritisieren. Die Preise sind angemessen. In der Nähe und im Hof gibt es kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. Eine Bushaltestelle ist nur wenige Meter entfernt.

Bei einer privaten Geburtstagsfeier mit 11 Gästen war das Essen bei fadt allen kalt bis maximal lau warm. Das Rehgulasch war genauso angebrannt wie die dazugehörigen Spätzle. Auch der Mokka zum Nachtisch war nur lauwarm. Das kroatische Essen war sehr geschmacklos. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Aber das Essen kommt leider nicht für alle Gäste gleichzeitig.

Staying at the hotel above the restaurant during a trade show, we came back late one evening and decided to go in for a nightcap. It showed up, that not only was it a cosy place, but the proprietor was a very easygoing man to chat with. We decided to give the restaurant a try the next evening, and went in at around 7.00 pm. To our great astonishment, the place was totally crowded with locals, including families. So we were lucky to get a table for three. The menu is a pleasant mixture of Croatian and German cuisine and it was fairly easy to find something suiting everybody. I went for a gulasch soup fur starters and lamb fillet for main course. The soup was excellent, spicy and steaming hot - just needed after a long day in the exhibition halls. The lamb seared on the outside and evenly pink on the inside - very good. A couple of black beers rounded it off. The place is quite frequented by locals, as we found out talking to the people at the table next to our. And no wonder - the place serves decent, well-prepared food at affordable prices. Recommendable
