I can only recommend it! We had wonton soup as a starter, which was very tasty! Vegetarian spring rolls very tasty! For the main course we had duck and my brother-in-law lamb. The boss is super nice and her aura is amazing and the atmosphere is so relaxed. The conditions are also very good! Thank you very much 🙏🏼

I was very positively surprised by the Namking restaurant. The price-performance ratio is excellent. We particularly recommend the beef teriyaki, the house specialty, which really tasted excellent. The only small point of criticism was the curry, which didn't quite suit my taste. All in all, a great experience that I rate 4 out of 5 stars.

Attention diabetics.. we cook with sugar here.. as a regular customer I am disappointed with the quality of my favorite dish for 20 years.. now, under new management and annoyed staff, I will no longer come!

They don't even deserve this one star. Friday evening reservation for 2. After 50 minutes our food still wasn't there. Others who came later have already eaten and gotten up.

Been there for the first and last time. After we ordered, our food didn't come. Customers who came after us were served immediately and their food arrived within a short time. No communication from the cellar, when asked they just said “coming soon”. After an hour of waiting, we left!

Extremely delicious food without a stomach ache afterwards, exceptional and authentic (as far as a European can tell) dishes, miles away from all the Chinese restaurants you would otherwise find in Hanover. Absolutely delicious and very good service.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Hanover's city center. The service is attentive and friendly, The dishes are classic and delicious, the teriyake dishes are particularly recommended. The ambience is unique in Hanover, no matter which seat you are assigned, you feel comfortable in every corner of the restaurant. A visit with a detour is definitely worth it.

Very tasty food and huge portions! The manager is also very friendly and very enlightened. Offering halal meat in a Chinese restaurant allowed me to finally discover the taste of Chinese cuisine and should be a role model for many other restaurants. Great restaurant that I support wholeheartedly!

Update: Nov 5, 2024. Everything, as before, in the usual good quality and well portioned. Service impeccable. It was my pleasure. Prices ok. Wantan starter soup is extremely tasty with a good amount of filling. 8 treasures very good, you don't drown in excessive amounts of sauce. The quality of the food has been very consistent for years. UPDATE: July 13, 2023 THE food quality, service and ambience remain unchanged and very good. Price ok. Update: 3/8/24 noon Very busy for lunch. There were wantang soups and double-fried pork with cabbage and Diet Coke. Everything was well prepared, well portioned. 37 euros for 2 people is ok. Friendly staff despite a packed restaurant. Gladly again.

I have been eating out with my family near Nanking for over 20 years. Today is definitely the last time! The change of ownership is very clear. There is nothing left of the usual ambience. We're at the Chinese restaurant and the reference to "Halal" is immediately noticeable on the front door, okeeey;) The guests inside and also in front of the door give the impression that I've ended up in a shisha shop. We were there with 8 people and wanted a cozy evening for our birthday. We waited almost 90 minutes for the food. Two of them were completely forgotten. Then waited another 20 minutes. Then ingredients that were part of the main ingredient were missing. All in all, pure disaster.

The restaurant has a prime location and the new owner is very friendly. The food tastes really good. Also, the store is now HALAL, which is very important for my girlfriend.

I was just shocked to discover that Nanjing is no longer the Chinese restaurant it was for the last 30 years. Apparently there has been a change of ownership: dishes are now "halal", pork dishes are passé. But hey, it fits perfectly into the Steintor district. Unfortunately, the whole thing no longer has anything to do with Chinese cuisine. At least rename the place!!! It's a real shame, once again one less possible choice for a delicious lunch on office days.

Unfortunately, the tofu was forgotten when I ordered, which I only noticed at the end of my meal. When I told the waiter, he offered me tofu to take away, but that didn't help me much since I had already finished eating. He was also unwilling to talk about the situation or offer another solution. Unfortunately I found that quite unprofessional.

I have enjoyed the excellent, tasty lunch for 40 years! Today I was there again for the first time (due to Corona) and found out that a generational change has taken place! I could tell from the soup that came with large pieces of bamboo, lumps of egg and no seasoning that I returned it! The lunch “beef with onions” was reserved for me in about 1/4 liter of liquid, which I made tasty with soy sauce!!!! What happened to this good restaurant? At least not Chinese!! The chef should take a cooking course, and the food for lunch at €13.90 is overpriced for the poor quality! So, not recommended.

The ambience could be better, more music would have been nice. It's also a bit too dingy, but that's a matter of taste! The employees were both extremely friendly, polite and competent, very good. The meal was shared between two people, my companion's fish dish was too salty, my beef dish was very good, but only because I had previously expressed the wish that it should not be so salty, but it was implemented very well. The soup was okay, but unfortunately the spring roll was also over salty. The lunch menu is still reasonably priced, but with drinks it's too overpriced, so it's better to enjoy it without drinks. There is one more star for friendliness, otherwise it would have been three stars. Thank you very much

Wir haben hier den Mischtagstisch besucht. Die Speisen lecker und das Personal war freundlich. Leider stimmen die Karte im Netz und die tatsächliche (noch?) nicht überein. Im Restaurant sind die Speisen teurer, dafür gibt es eine größere Auswahl. Weiterhin sind die vegetarischen/veganen Alternativen für die Vorspeise 2€ teurer. Warum eine vegane Frühlingsrolle so viel teurer als eine mit Rindfleisch ist, hat sich mir nicht ergeben, da Gemüse ja tendenziell günstiger ist als Fleisch. Auf meine Nachfrage erhielt ich die Antwort "weil es mehr Aufwand sei". Die Inneneinrichtung ist sehr schick.

Sehr gutes Essen und freundliche Bedienung

Wir hatten Lust auf Chinesich und sind den guten Empfehlungen gefolgt. Das Nanking liegt in Randlage der Innenstadt, also noch gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir würden sehr freundlich begrüßt und all unsere Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Vor allem die leckeren Bratnudeln sind uns in Erinnerung geblieben. Also, Essen sehr gut, Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und das Ambiente hat uns auch sehr gefallen.

Excellent food, very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere with an authentic Chinese vibe. Friendly multilingual service (German, English and Russian that I personally know of). Also, quite reasonably priced meals. We had crispy duck with sweet and sour sauce (comes with a bowl of white (plain) rice, a platter of chicken rice with eggs and vegetables, as well as drinks for two for just under 45 €. I was impressed by the food being served on a hot plate to keep it warm longer. If you are in the vicinity of Lange Laube in Hannover, this place is definitely a must try. I highly recommend!

Wir waren schon mehrfach dort. Das Essen ist jedes Mal spitze. Geschmack ist großartig. Kein Glutamat, Schmeckt immer frisch. Portionen könnten ab und zu größer sein. Ente, Huhn, Suppe, Nudeln, alles bestens. Sehr nette Bedienung. Nettes Ambiente, manchmal etwas beengt. Wir haben mit Nanking definitiv unseren Lieblingsasiaten gefunden.

Hat es einen Besitzerwechsel gegeben? Der Kellner war zwar freundlich, aber etwas unprofessionell unbeholfen, er war nicht restaurantüblich gekleidet, und wirkte ein wenig schmuddelig. Seine vermutlich osteuropäische Muttersprache erschwerte ihm das Verständnis der deutschen Namen der Gerichte, aber mit Nennung der Zahlen hat es dann geklappt. Sein Umgangston mit zwei anderen Gästen wirkte pampig, was aber vielleicht nur an seinen eingeschränkten Deutschkenntnissen lag und u. U. nicht unfreundlich gemeint war. Ganz schlecht: Leider konnten wir nicht alles, was wir gerne gehabt hätten, bestellen, weil bestimmte Lebensmittel in der Küche fehlten! Das ist in all den vielen Jahren, die wir gerne im Nanking gegessen haben, bislang noch nie passiert. - Das, was wir bestellen konnten, war geschmacklich gut. Die Preise finde ich durchweg ein wenig zu hoch. Insbesondere bei den vegetarischen Gerichten stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wirklich nicht, wenn ein kleins Gemüsegericht 16 Euro kostet, wobei die Zutaten maximal 4 Euro wert sind. Da wären ca. 10 Euro als Restaurantpreis wohl angemessener. Früher hätte das Restaurant von mir fünf Sterne bekommen, jetzt leider nur noch drei. Ich hoffe, es geht wieder aufwärts.

Unter den leuchtenden Kirschblüten war der Mittagstisch nochmal so gut! Die knusprige Frühlingsrolle war ausgezeichnet und ganz frisch zubereitet. Köstlich! Auch das knusprige Hühnchen mit süß saurer Sauce...megalecker! Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist tiptop! Der Service sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell! Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Ein tolles Lokal mit hervorragend zubereiteten Speisen, und das schon seit mehr als 50 Jahren. Ein absolutes Muss ist das doppelt gebratene Rindfleisch.

We’ve been coming to Nanking for years and it’s one of our favorite places to get take out from in Hannover. We especially like the lunch specials. The portion size is good and the food is delicious. The prices have gone up significantly but unfortunately that is the case at many places in the last year.

Das Restaurant Nanking hat ein passendes Ambiente, übersichtlich, angenehm und sauber. Freie Parkplätze zu finden, ist etwas schwierig, wegen der zentralen Lage, aber mit Öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar. Die Speisekarte bietet eine gute Auswahl, verschiedener Fleisch- und Gemüsegerichte. Leider waren alle 3 Hauptgerichte fade und wenig gewürzt. Das erste Gericht war trotz Wärmeplatte, bedauerlicherweise kalt, beim zweiten wurde gebeten es schärfer zuzubereiten, wurde aber vergessen. Bei dem vegetarischen Gericht war Tofu drin, was in der Speisekarte nicht erwähnt wurde. Die Portionsgröße war in Ordnung, Präsentation der Speisen sehr schön und der Service sehr nett. Fazit: Das Restaurant hat eine gute Basis, muss aber die Speisen mehr würzen, ein besseres Timing beim Servieren haben und auf Kundenwünsche eingehen.

Der Best China Restaurant den ich jemals gegessen habe. Schnelle Bedienung, Sehr nett Personal. Immer wieder gerne. Danke das ihr da seid.

Ich gehe sehr gerne zum Mittagstisch dort hin. Die Preise haben angezogen, so wie überall. Aber das Preis Leistung ist immer noch angemessen. Aber ich finde es immer noch toll.

Am frühen Dienstagabend ist noch Platz im Nangking. Das Ambiente ist stilsicher, ohne überladen zu wirken. Hauptgerichte liegen zwischen 12 und 24 Euro. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Nach 2 Veggie-Days habe ich Lust auf Fleisch, und deshalb starte ich mit einer "Hausgemachten Frühlingsrolle mit Rindfleisch", gefolgt von "Teriyaki Rindfleisch" ("Gebratenes Rindfleisch mit frischer Paprika, Zwiebeln und Knoblauch") von der Spezialitäten-Karte. Das Fleisch ist zart und von feiner Schärfe. Ein rundum gelungener Abend. Fazit: Gehobene chinesische Küche in stilvollem Ambiente. Ich war das erste Mal aufgrund einer Empfehlung von Kollegen in dem Restaurant. Die positive Meinung meiner Kollegen kann ich nur bestätigen. Super netter und aufmerksamer Service, sehr leckeres Essen zu einem guten Gesamtpreis. Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Getränk für 16,50 Eur war für das ganze Paket absolut gerechtfertigt. Parkplätze vor dem Restaurant sind rar, ich würde entweder zu Fuß, per Bahn - U-Bahn Station Steintor ist 100 m entfernt - oder die Anfahrt per Rad empfehlen.

Nach Kaffee Konrad haben wir uns hier richtig Wohl gefühlt bei eine Tasse Tee. Hier stimmte das Ambiente, und eine Unterhaltung war hier angenehm. Einmal Bratnudeln für meine Bekannte. Und Ente süß sauer für mich. Kleiner Schönheitsfehler die Ente süß sauer hatte Verspätung. Wir sind bis zum Ende geblieben und die Zeit hatten wir vergessen. Wir weder wieder kommen.

Wir gehen öfters zum Mittagstisch in dieses Restaurant, da wir in der Nähe arbeiten. Es gibt eine Suppe oder hausgemachte Frühlingsrolle, danach ein Hauptgericht. Zubereitung geht schnell, Essen hat immer gut geschmeckt und sättigt gut. Leider wurden die Preise wieder erhöht. Deshalb einen Punkt Abzug, sonst sehr zu empfehlen.

Hatten ein Geschäftsessen bei Nanking. Bedienung war freundlich und Essen kam zügig da wir Zeitdruck hatten. Qualität top! M5 sehr zu empfehlen! Gerne wieder:)
