I love Mr Hoh, Food is superb, service is always good with humour thrown in for free. My only criticism is that it has been repainted and now it is very light, like a doctors waiting room, I prefer the Asian touch a little dark with lots of Asian Snicker Snackers. Do not let this get in the way of some of the best Asian food around.

Restaurant Mr. Hoh has been one of our favorite restaurants for about a year. Very friendly welcome and service. All dishes are delicious, including the beef with pak choi. The duck dishes are also all delicious. The lunch menu offers very good deals.

It's a good Chinese restaurant!

I ordered the A2 takeaway. The meal was ready within the stated timeframe and arrived piping hot. The staff was nice and friendly, and the dish tasted absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the portion was once again significantly too small for a good average eater. Given the hefty prices for dishes in the "exclusive specialties" category, this is completely unjustified in my opinion. Otherwise, it would have definitely earned 5 stars for the delicious food.

A simple Asian restaurant. Busy. We arrived with a 6 p.m. reservation. The restaurant was already half full, despite opening at 5:30 p.m. In total, we waited over an hour for two relatively simple, standard Chinese dishes. The food was okay, but not outstanding, with fairly bland sauces. The sambal and soy sauce at the table had to make up for it. The wait seems to be due to the fact that there are separate waiting lists and guests are given priority. All in all, it's a bit expensive, with long waits and overwhelmed service. It was worth a try, but that's it; the food isn't worth the 20-minute drive. A shame. It remains exciting to find a good Chinese restaurant in western Hamburg.

Four of us went there for lunch. The service was absolutely top-notch. Very fast, friendly, and courteous. The selection was plentiful, and the portions were generous. The food tasted wonderful. We would go back anytime.

Even though prices have increased slightly, the value for money is still excellent. Many lunch dishes now cost €10.50 instead of €9.50. However, the food is still delicious, including starters, served on warmers.

Hospitality is a top priority at this restaurant. Very friendly service, interested in the well-being of the guests. We were there on Father's Day and were immediately informed of a special offer: all drinks, starters, and desserts for €2.90 each. A great offer that we gladly accepted. The dishes were all delicious, attractively presented, and hot. Warmed plates were also served. The restaurant itself isn't particularly cozy, but it's perfectly fine. We'd be happy to come back!

Insider tip! The food is fantastic, with excellent sauces. The service is very attentive and cheerful, creating a feel-good atmosphere. Trying the warm sake is worth it.

We had booked a table. Not even set up when we arrived. Food came very quickly. But it wasn't tasty anymore. At this speed it needs to be pre-cooked. Very soy sauce heavy. Personally, we liked the traditional interior design and the ambience better before the renovation and the change in operator, not only because the light was too bright and cold, but it is also no longer as comfortable as it was back then.

Unfortunately I have to say that mr hoh is no longer what it was. Yesterday I had fish with vegetables. The fish can hardly be called fish. Then the sauce was so salty that I couldn't finish it. Unfortunately the price of the fried Chinese noodles was not justified, €11.90 (chicken and vegetables) and €13.90 (tofu and vegetables) I think was too much, the quantity was relatively small, very few vegetables in it, a lot of soy sauce was used and too much glutamate . After eating we were just thirsty. I would have gotten this portion from an İbiss for half the price at most, but I expected more from a restaurant. Presumably the focus is on the other dishes 🙂

Very nice service, good, tasty food - normal prices (yes, I know - something different is normal for everyone). Everyone experiences the ambience a little differently. Here I would say that the typical Chinese restaurant outfitter did some work. 😎

We've only been here twice, but we're really impressed. Unfortunately, there isn't much traditional Chinese anymore. The staff is really nice. The food is very tasty and the selection is very good. We drive an extra half hour by car because the food there is always delicious. We have always received very quick and friendly service. Where to start and stop. Were there today and have been there several times to date. Bizarre things have happened in the past, but they were also funny. But today..we are stunned. Ordered lunch at 1 p.m. The spring roll came at 1:30 p.m., 20 minutes later my mother's food came. Since we went out to eat together, she of course waited until my food came too. After waiting another 15 minutes, we asked where the noodles were. No Answer. We then returned the duck and rice (which my mother had already refilled) because it was getting cold. The table next to us had been sitting there for a while before us and was waiting even longer for his food, when the waiter came three times and was asked if he had already had his soup, which he had already had for a long time. After waiting again, my noodles came, but my mother's food didn't. Since my noodles came in a bowl, the waiter took my plate away and put it at the other table to the man?! 😂 Then the food came for the man and he got the rice we gave back, which had already been opened???? The man then left. After 10 minutes later my mother's food still wasn't there, we went in to ask, no answer, but we saw that the waiter was leaving with food. Well, at our table when no one else was sitting, he put down my mother's food, beef instead of duck??? Afterwards we paid for our drink and left without words and without eating!!! Oh yes, a man came after us and after 45 minutes he still hasn't received a drink, the poor guy is probably still sitting there waiting. Never again.

The best duck dishes in the entire area. Better than any store in Hamburg. Crispy and juicy skin, decent pieces of meat and no “crunchy” flour breading, as is unfortunately the case in many shops these days. They changed hands some time ago, but the card is exactly as it used to be.

We've been going to Mr. Hoh's for years. After the operator changed, it was unclear whether the restaurant was open in the evening because the information on Google only went until 3 p.m. The food was first class as usual. The ambience has become very simple and the cleanliness still needs to be worked on: I was almost stuck to the floor because sweet drinks were probably spilled. The new boss is very friendly, humorous and always in action.

Wir haben um 13:45 Uhr angerufen und wollten einen Tisch für 14:30 Uhr reservieren. Es wurde uns deutlich gesagt, dass das Restaurant ab 15:00 Uhr Mittagspause macht und wir nicht bedient werden. Wir könnten das Essen ja mit nach Hause nehmen. Darauf haben wir dann verzichtet. Das hat es früher unter dem alten Inhaber nicht gegeben. Wir sind dann ins Phoenix nach Halstenbek gefahren. Dort gibt es bis 16:30 Mittagstisch. Ob wir wiederkommen wissen wir noch nicht.

Wie immer war das Essen sehr lecker und die Portionen wirklich ausreichend. Der Reis der dazu gereicht wird ist wirklich eine gute Portion und reicht immer. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Das hat definitiv zu der angenehmen Stimmung beigetragen.

Das einzige was wirklich gut ist, ist das Essen. Das Ambiente war früher mal excelent. Nach der Renovierung ist daraus eine Art Bahnhofkaschemme geworden. Zukünftig werde ich hier nur noch Speisen zum Abholen bestellen, hier essen werde ich in dieser kalten Atmosphäre nicht mehr.

Das Essen hier war mal vor einigen Jahren besser leider hat die Qualität nachgelassen. Zu Mittagszeit ist es ein super Deal doch nach der Mittagszeit ist leider das Problem das es nicht grade günstig ist und es wird mit sehr viel Gemüse eine optische Täuschung erstellt. Leider ist mann bei den Preisen dann auch echt genervt wenn wieder mehr Gemüse als alles andere im Gericht war.

Essen & Service waren definitiv schon besser und passen nicht mehr zu der letzten Preiserhöhung. Mehr als 10% auf Essen und über 12% mehr auf Getränke ist happig.

War heute mit der rentnergang zum Essen hier.haben den mittagstisch bestellt,mit vorsuppe.war sehr lecker und auch preiswert. Portion war reichhaltig.bedienung sehr nett und aufmerksam. Ambiente toll.kommen gerne wieder!!!!empfehlenswert !!!!

Das Essen war ok und kam auch zeitnah. Der bestellte Kaffe zum Nachtisch wurde erst nach mehreren Nachfragen und langer Zeit geliefert. Gut, das kann passieren. Was aber auch rechtlich nicht passieren darf, dass die abgerechneten Preise der Getränke nicht mit denen der Speisekarte übereinstimmen. Für jedes Getränk wurden ohne Kommentar 70-80 ct mehr abgerechnet. Leider fiel uns das erst nach der Bezahlung auf. Als wir die Preise dann mit der Speisekarte verglichen, bemerkte der Chef das wohl und erklärte vom Nebentisch aus lapidar, ab heute sei eine neue Speisenkarte gültig. Punkt! So nicht! Auch der neue Besitzer hat sich an die Preisauszeichnungsverordnung zu halten. Wir waren dort regelmäßig essen. Jetzt nicht mehr.

Gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung mit einem witzigen Humor

18.09.2023 das Restaurant ist seit September unter neuer Leitung. Die neuen Servicekräfte waren sehr freundlich. Der neue Besitzer kam ebenfalls an den Tisch und fragte, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Das war es wirklich. Die Karte wurde wohl übernommen. Die Speisen kamen wie immer schön heiß an und schmeckten ausgezeichnet. Der Reis ist auch wie vorher satt dabei und die Portionen sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Ich gehe hier seit Jahren her, wenn ich Lust auf asiatische Küche habe. Die Räumlichkeiten sind hell gestaltet, das Personal immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Mittagstisch ist einfach Klasse und wird auch am Samstag angeboten, was ich sehr gut finde. Die Speisen bieten etliche Varianten mit Feuertöpfen, Pfannen, heißen Platten. Das ist ein Riesen Plus hier: Das Essen ist immer heiß und wird am Tisch auch durch die Platten warm gehalten. Reis wird großzügig im Topf am Tisch gereicht und kann auch nachgenommen werden.

Seit Jahren schon unser Lieblings Chinese sozusagen, und wenn man Ente bestellt, gibts immer eine knusprige Keule gratis dazu 😋

Wir könnten Mister Hof von früher konnte man leider nicht mehr hingehen da ist sehr ungemütlich war und auch unsauber waren am 10.07 23 um 19 Uhr da und waren so begeistert der Innenraum sehr sauber freundlich Bedienung super und das Essen einfach nur toll wir waren mit fünf Mann dort und jeder war zufrieden kann ich nur weiterempfehlen und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super

Nett, freundlich und lecker Wir waren zum Mittagstisch hier und hatten Glück einen Platz zu bekommen. Trotzdem war die Bedienung freundlich und nett. Die Atmosphäre war angenehm. Die Auswahl auf der Mittagskarte ist sehr gut. Wir waren mit den Gerichten sehr zufrieden und werden wiederkommen.

Ein sehr schönes chinesisches Restaurant. Das Essen wird heiß serviert. Man sollte Zeit einplanen. Das warten lohnt sich, denn es schmeckt sehr gut. Alles ist frisch zubereitet.
