Restaurant Maucher's in Füssen

Unfortunately our food was lukewarm. The meat was dry on the edges and the potatoes were cool. The cheese spaetzle with stewed onions...

I have the potato soup and the smoked trout salad. And as a fisherman and someone who eats fish a lot, that was the best smoked trout I have ever had. And the sunset across the lake should allow me to put seven stars instead of just five.

We had a lovely evening, with excellent service, the salad was so delicious, the roast beef was the finest, and the three types of dessert were a dream.

It's been a long time since I ate as well as I did tonight. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this.🌹

This restaurant with delicious food and drinks is beautifully located on Lake Hopfensee. We each had a side salad as well as cheese spaetzle and, from the daily menu, roast pork with dumplings and cabbage. The side salad was served with house dressing and was very tasty. The roast pork was super tender and delicious. Cabbage and dumplings rounded everything off in terms of taste. My wife had the cheese spaetzle. These were a poem. Next time we are there we will definitely come back. Because it wasn't expensive in terms of price either. Absolutely recommended!!!!

I haven't eaten so well in a restaurant for a long time, and the service was extremely warm, friendly and attentive. The portions are really big, so we only chose a small portion of the main courses to still have room for the starter and dessert. The pumpkin soup was excellent, the Kässpatzen was beautifully spicy and the Kaiserschmarrn was a poem. We'll be happy to come back when we're in the Allgäu again and we definitely recommend making a reservation in advance

We were at Maucher's last night and I can only agree with the reviews given. The food tastes very good and the service is friendly and attentive. Unfortunately I have to deduct one point because our food didn't come to the table warm enough.

Very good cuisine, we went there twice in a row. Apparently family-run, you can tell by the friendliness, the guests are valued, which is a great thing, especially on Lake Hopfensee, which is unfortunately often overcrowded. Cook is a real stroke of luck! Pay particular attention to the daily specials, the cream roast veal was already a poem on our first visit...

Really outstanding cuisine and great service at absolutely moderate prices. Clear recommendation! Update on the 2nd visit to this wonderful restaurant: Today I thoroughly tried the onion roast and the salmon trout. Both simply divine. Then the caramelized Kaiserschmarrn and plums, as well as the plum dumplings with vanilla sauce. The dessert was truly breathtaking. All in all, this restaurant is number 1 for us out of all the restaurants we have ever eaten at… ... and we get around a lot! The service and the boss are also simply kind-hearted and super friendly. We reserved another table for Friday! Keep it up!

Visited this restaurant for the first time this evening. A salad with pork loin and a pumpkin soup ordered in advance. It was delicious. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Great work...keep it up. I'll be back.

Sensational restaurant on the waterfront in Hopfen am See, where you can enjoy Bavarian delicacies. The restaurant looks a bit inconspicuous and small from the outside but is beautifully decorated inside. Great tables & seating areas, historical pictures of hops on the walls. Absolute Bavarian feel-good atmosphere. The boss, Ms. Maucher, exudes a pleasant calm and takes great care of her guests - she always has everything in view. She remembers everything when she orders. For food: excellent!!!! Regional products and a lot of attention to detail. I ate by far the best Allgäu onion roast here. The meat was on point (medium)!!!! Changing the order for the side dish was no problem. Accompanied by a regional Maria Hilfer beer. The prices are totally fair for such high quality food. Please see for yourself - one of the absolute top restaurants in the entire Allgäu. It wasn't for nothing that it was featured on Bavarian television as one of the best country inns. Great selection of drinks! Very tasty, homemade and, above all, freshly prepared food. The quantities are good, the prices are mid-range (corresponding to the very good quality) and the hosts are welcoming. If you wait longer, there is a reason for it, because when the boss is in a hurry, everyone is served one after the other as they ordered. That's the price you pay for fresh food and it should stay that way. Unfortunately, the daily/weekly menu hasn't changed for a long time, which is why I'm deducting a star.

It's supposed to be the best Kaiserschmarren and I was looking forward to it, but unfortunately the service wasn't welcoming and inflexible. After we couldn't get a seat (although many tables were free) we asked for a take-away (for only 1 portion of Kaiserschmarren) but that wasn't possible either, a shame!

Food was very good and friendly service. From the outside the restaurant does not look very nice but it is a cosy place. I would recommend it!

We have enjoyed coming to Mauchers during our vacations for several years and have been there again now. Here you can still find freshly prepared regional dishes at fair prices. The boss and the rest of the staff are very friendly and attentive. However, a reservation is advisable. We'd love to come back.

Highly recommended. With a great view of the lake. However, you should reserve in advance. We were lucky and were able to eat without a reservation. Most of the guests who came after us had to leave because they hadn't made reservations.

Bavarian feel-good restaurant Well-prepared Bavarian cuisine. Very tasty food at extremely fair prices. An extensive Allgäu daily menu rounds off the selection of dishes. Kaiserschmarrn is a real treat. Extremely friendly service, absolute cleanliness. Inside it is cozy and rustic and in summer there is a beautifully shady beer garden that invites you to linger. The menu offers something for every palate. Reservation recommended. Definitely worth a visit.

Ohne Reservierung hat man wenig Chancen. Jetzt weiß ich auch warum. Das Ambiente, die Bedienung und das Essen sowie der Ausblick zum Sonnenuntergang von unserem Platz ist echt genial gewesen. Wir hatten Zwiebelrostbraten und Beilagensalat das Essen war wirklich super lecker. Das Highlight kam zum Schluss. Der Kaiserschmarrn mit Zwetschgen war echt der Hammer. Men muss weit reisen um so einen Kaiserschmarrn zu bekommen. Wartezeit 20 Minuten. Die haben sich dafür aber echt gelohnt. Vielen Dank an den Koch und die Bedienung. Es war ein Traumabend. We went for dinner today at 7:30 p.m. Without a reservation you have little chance. Now i know why. The ambience, the service and the food as well as the view of the sunset from our place were really awesome. We had onion roast and a side salad and the food was really delicious. The highlight came at the end. The Kaiserschmarrn with plums was really awesome. Men have to travel far to get such Kaiserschmarrn. Waiting time 20 minutes. But they were really worth it. Food was good, unfortunately I expected a little more when I read the reviews here. It was nicely prepared, but unfortunately that certain boom was missing. Four of us had lunch with smoked salmon trout with asparagus. mayor plate flawless. Allgäu three things flawless. Schnitzel fries salad, as it should be. We will be back!!!

We came to Maucher's very spontaneously on the Easter weekend and still got a nice seat and received great service! The waitress was incredibly friendly and the boss was also very welcoming. The food was simply delicious from start to finish! So good that we made a reservation for the next evening so we could try more of it. The dishes on the daily menu are particularly recommended, as they are all very lovingly selected and put together. In terms of taste, everything is absolutely great and at affordable prices, you don't find that often and especially not in such a beautiful location by the lake! We were completely blown away by the fish cream soup, the cheese dumplings and, for dessert, the Kaiserschmarrn - we have rarely eaten so well! Just for that you have to have a holiday in the Allgäu again!

Zum ersten Mal hier, sicher nicht zum letzten! Wir kamen zu 2t in das kleine behagliche Restaurant, angelockt von den durchgängig positiven Bewertungen. Wir wählten Zwiebelrostbraten mit Krautspatzen bzw. Rahmgeschnetzeltes mit Spinatknödeln. Beides sehr lecker. Dazu vorweg Aperol Spritz, später Mariahilfer Kösselbräu-Vollbier vom Fass. Aaah! Zum Abschluss noch einen Schnaps (Odl), das Ganze mitunter flankiert von netten Gesprächen mit der Chefin. Ein sehr gelungener Abend!

We went there twice, once with 11 people and it was so delicious. It's rather unusual that so many people like it, but we can only recommend it! Particularly noteworthy is the Kaiserschmarrn, which we have rarely eaten so well!

I can only say that it is 100% excellent. It is literally regional food from southern Germany but with a modern touch and novel combinations. It is a fusion between traditional and experimental. I honestly don't know how it doesn't have a Michelin star. Very very highly recommended

We were passing through and spontaneously looked for an appealing restaurant along the route using maps and found Maucher's. The food was excellent, simply in a class of its own. To put it bluntly, we could have simply sat down with the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. The service was friendly, courteous and professional. The restaurant actually deserves a more extensive review, but not much more needs to be said. And I have one more hotspot on my review/reminder list. Thank you for the excellent hospitality!

Wow, it's rare that everything fits so well in a restaurant. The food was excellent, from the salad dressing to the great combination of trout fillet on pearl barley, beetroot and horseradish cream. The different flavors were well balanced without any disturbing dominance. My husband had the onion roast on cabbage spaetzla. It was fried to perfection. Thanks to the Maucher family, who run your restaurant with a lot of love and a pleasant knack for pleasant service.

Do you want to taste the best Zwiebelrostbraten you've ever had? Then here is the place. I was just delighted with the experience, soft steak, crispy onions and a mouth watering sauce. The Staff/owners are this sweet couple, very attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back on our next visit to the south. Kaiserschmarrn is also a must if you feel like dessert.

The service is professional, fun and very kind. The food is outstanding! We had the cheese soup which gets 5 stars, Feldsalat that gets 4 stars, Kraut wickel 5 stars - just like grandma did them, Schweinefilet with Sherry sauce and mushrooms and spinach dumpling get also 5 stars this was sooo good. Beers are also very good, the local breweries around are top! Location is close to the lake, but no view. Anyway focus in the meal. They have changing meals additionally to their Main menu. Das Ambiente mit Blick auf den Hopfensee durch die große Panoramascheibe ist top, das Personal war sehr sehr freundlich und das Essen war einfach nur sehr hohes Niveau!

Ein muss in Hopfen am See. Tolles kleines Restaurant in dem man Gastlichkeit lebt. Super lecker Essen zu fairen Preisen. Abends mit Blick auf den Hopfensee ein Traum. Regionale Speisekarte mit wechselnden Empfehlungen. Alles Speisen werden frisch zubereitet. Sehr zu empfehlen und wir kommen gerne wieder

Waren mit einer Gruppe dort essen. Extrem selbstbewusster und am Ende arroganter und unfreundlicher Service. Das Essen war in Summe gut aber auch nichts besonderes, obwohl das Risotto extrem al dente war. Eine Entschuldigung oder ähnliches nach Feedback Fehlanzeige. Ich persönlich würde nicht mehr hingehen, aber trotzdem in Hopfen wahrscheinlich eine der besseren Optionen. Kaffee und Nachtisch war sehr gut. Preis-/Leistung gerade noch okay.

Sehr lecker schönes Ambiente nette freundliche Bedienung

Ich hatte den Salat mit Bergkäsen und geröstetem Brot. Das war eine überschaubare Portion und hat seltsamerweise etwa 13€ gekostet und mein Partner hatte Schnitzel Wiener Art und das hat 15,70€ gekostet (war eine Riesen Portion). Man kann für 2€ weniger fast überall eine kleine Portion erhalten. Kässpätzle waren laut meiner Oma sehr gut, und meine Mama hatte den Tagestipp 3erlei mit Maultasche, Knödel und Krauttasche. War auch gut.

Nachdem wir nun einige wenige bayerische Restaurants mit einer guten (4,6+) Bewertung in und um Füssen erlebt haben, sticht dieses geschmacklich hervor. Jedes Gericht, das wir bestellt haben war in allen Nuancen hervorragend abgeschmeckt, sogar der Beilagensalat ist eine Erwähnung wert, weil er sehr lecker( Süße-Säure perfekt ein wenig nussig) war! Wir hatten den Wurstsalat, Käsespätzle, und Kaiserschmarren (alles keine gehobene Küche, birgt aber die Chance großen Versagens, wie andere bewiesen haben). Und wir werden in den nächsten Tagen sicher mehr probieren und ganz sicher nicht enttäuscht werden. Weiter so!!

Wir waren spontan auf der Heimreise hier weil wir unbedingt ein gutes Schnitzel wollten und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Klassischer Look innen und außen. Schön nah am See. Service freundlich und zügig. Und dann das Schnitzel: frisch geklopft, lecker paniert, perfekte Menge dünne Pommes. Besser geht's nicht . Und dann der Preis! 16 Euro und satt. Das gibt's nicht mehr oft in der Kombination! Respekt! Wir kommen wieder!

Wir lieben Maucher‘s. An keinem einzigen Tag haben wir hier mal schlecht gegessen. Top!! Mehr als fünf Sterne verdient. Alles ist immer absolut frisch und lecker. Das Restaurant klein und fein. Es gibt eine Stamm Speisekarte und auf einer Tafel immer wechselnde Gerichte. Hier wird mit viel Leidenschaft gekocht. Noch nie hab ich ein besseres Wiener Schnitzel mit Spargel gegessen. Ein dickes Lob an die Inhaber und auch an die Bedienung. Auch das Silvester Menü kann man mehr als empfehlen. Bleibt wie ihr seid, es ist mehr als perfekt.
