Looks great, we were allowed to take a quick look inside. Unfortunately it was closed on January 1st, 2025.

A rude manager, the man who doesn't know what catering is, even though there is space inside, he says we are closed and doesn't accept people. They have money but they don't know how to run the place, unfortunately people go here and spend their money here...

We waited 2 hours for our lunch today. Apparently there was a staff shortage in the kitchen. This can happen, but please inform the guest about the possible long waiting time before ordering. Or offer a small snack to compensate.

Beautiful view, but you are ignored and not greeted at reception. Otherwise very unfriendly - children are not welcome either. Too bad :(

Nice service, great view. However, the selection of breakfast brunch on the weekend is relatively sparse for the price of €20. No egg dishes except hard-boiled eggs and overall not what you are used to from other restaurants in the comparable price segment.

I was booked for a wedding on Saturday with my band Dreimannquartett. The location impresses with a great ambience, very friendly staff and a view that is second to none. The menu was very tasty and the wines were excellent. It won't be the last time I visit the lake house.

The location is beautiful and the view is unique. On the terrace you have a great view of the lake. Unfortunately, the price and service are not at all good. We have been there several times now and unfortunately we have been disappointed with the service each time. Same today. Eternal waiting times for ordering, eating and paying. The apple strudel came 30 minutes later after the coffee, which was already ice cold. There was also no apology or explanation. The strudel was very tasty but really tiny. The price for an approx. 2 cm narrow piece of strudel without ice cream and cream is €7.90. In general, all drinks and dishes are very expensive. We had to wait more than 20 minutes to pay and then went to the counter ourselves after no one came. The restaurant was half full and 4 service staff were on duty. So there's actually enough staff there. All in all very disappointing: high prices for small portions and poor service. We won't be coming back even though we go to Hopfensee very often. Very unfortunate!

Location great, ambience great. I was there with guests a total of four times. On 11/22/24 IMPOSSIBLE reception for a booked table of 6 people. Rude and stammering waiter. He just talked nonsense in front of witnesses. There were only 3 tables occupied and we were told at 7 p.m. that we wanted to finish early today?????!!!!! The food was ok, but completely overpriced. Portion scandalously small. At 10 p.m. the lights were flickered and cash was collected from the tables. Seehaus Hopfensee: NEVER AGAIN! Hospitality is a foreign word there.

A disappointing visit. Despite there being free seats inside, we were turned away on a sunny afternoon because the outside seating was occupied. Such a reaction to guests is unfortunate and leaves room for improvement in customer service.

On a wonderful day, the sunshine and the view of the Hopfensee are pure relaxation for the mind and soul. Unfortunately I didn't try the cuisine, but I'll definitely do so. The service was attentive and very friendly. There is a paid pitch right next to the lake house. There are no fees for guests. A visit is worth it.

Coffee and cake are advertised outside. When we wanted to have coffee at 3 p.m. we were not allowed into the restaurant by a very unfriendly, annoyed waitress. Capacity is at capacity. But the whole interior was empty and she wasn't allowed to drink coffee there. Outrageous. Not recommended.

So I'm so speechless!!!! Outside the entrance there is a large display of coffee and cake. When we came in we had to wait forever until we were assigned a seat, then we wanted to order coffee and cake. The condition then cheekily said that there was only coffee left. And that at 3:30 p.m. We then got the menu from the neighboring table where there were desserts. When we asked, we were told that the conditions for making crepes were too complicated and the kitchen got dirty and we now had to prepare everything for the evening. Apart from that, there was my latte Macchiato wasn't even lukewarm and my friend had to ask for milk with her coffee. So really not recommended!!!!! Therefore only one star

We wanted to order coffee and cake at 3:30 p.m., to our admiration there was only coffee left. When we asked if we could get ice cream or crepes, we unfortunately didn't get the answer, and then we said everything had to be prepared first because then the kitchen would get dirty. We are very disappointed about this. In the In return, we noticed how everything was prepared for the evening business in the restaurant. A shame for a vacation and rehab place.

It was our first time at the lake house. Super friendly reception. Place right on the lake. A dream. Service very good and very friendly. A big compliment to Nico. Would love to come back. A little break from everyday life.

My favorite in Füssen and the surrounding area. Good cuisine and an excellent selection of good wines. The beef fillet is one of the best I've ever eaten! Highest quality and perfectly prepared! The service is competent and friendly. For such upscale cuisine, it's still pleasantly personal and not so distant :) Price performance is really appropriate for what is on offer. I keep coming back!

Very friendly place. The view directly on the lake is premium. The mood in the team was relaxed and detached. The service was natural and very polite. Noodles were perfectly done. The music was too loud and obtrusive for me even though it was very good ;) Swing music. If you like food hot, this is the place for you. My noodles were very hot. Overall, the food tasted good. I didn't feel too full afterwards. The portion wasn't too small and not too big, just enough for dessert to fit in. The store is chic but I felt very comfortable and welcome.

An excellent and spectacular restaurant

Great location with a beautiful terrace right on the lake and an incredibly beautiful view. Unfortunately, this apparently means that they don't make a great effort in terms of service. Even though there was hardly anything going on, I was allowed to wait 10 minutes until I was asked if I actually wanted to order something. Although I “just” wanted to have something to drink (a spritz for just €10), I still think it’s a shame that no one came to my table for an hour afterwards, and then only because I drew attention to myself.

I had a nice experience, and it's a good place to grab something to eat. However, the schedule posted on the door was incorrect. I'm not sure if it was due to the holidays or something else. The service from the personnel was excellent, and the food was delicious. 😋

Not cheap but worth a visit or two

Even the journey to this uniquely located restaurant on the picturesque Hopfensee in the Allgäu was a pleasure. The interior of the lake house is just as impressive as the outside setting. The well-thought-out design of the room ensures that you immediately feel comfortable and can leave everyday life behind. An absolute highlight of my visit was the exquisite selection of wines that the Seehaus Hopfensee has to offer. The wine list is carefully curated and I can confidently say that the wines here are some of the best that any restaurant in the area has to offer. They go perfectly with the dishes and underline the variety of flavors and sophistication that characterize the Seehaus' cuisine. The menu itself is a harmonious composition of regional and Mediterranean ingredients with creative touches. Every dish I tried was a feast for the senses and demonstrated a deep respect for nature and local products. Overall, my visit to Seehaus Hopfensee was an unforgettable experience that I can only warmly recommend to everyone. The unique combination of a magnificent location, stylish interior and outstanding wines makes this restaurant a jewel in the region. Here you can not only feast, but also unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature to the fullest. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and the opportunity to discover even more of this wonderful location.

The Seehaus am Hopfensee is a restaurant that can really be recommended without any reservations: The price was a bit higher, but the service was perfect (Nico) and worth every euro. We don't even need to talk about the ambience. That's just great. Overall rating: wonderful: gladly again!

After you have completed the circuit around the lake, this is a good opportunity to take a breather and have something to eat and drink.

Favourite meal in Germany to date! The ambience was great and the food was unmatched. The soups were so fantastic, you must try them! Do not hesitate, book and enjoy!

Beautifully located on Lake Hopfensee. The light-flooded building offers a fantastic view of the lake and the surrounding mountain landscape. Great terrace, usable in many ways even without sunshine. Tasteful furnishings. Service first class.

The presentation on the Internet and the prices raised our expectations, which unfortunately were not met We expected a top middle class restaurant and rated it for that. The location on the lake is unique; an evening there when the weather is nice is unforgettable. The truffle foam soup was excellent despite being slightly bacon-heavy, and the starter salad was traditional. The entrecote was quite good, the octopus was on the stove too long. The big drawback was the vegetables and side dishes. A fresh cell treatment for selection and preparation would be urgently desirable here. The dessert was very good, exuded freshness in contrast to the vegetables and was very appetizingly presented. The concern for the well-being of the guests was neglected, possibly due to a lack of staff. For example, despite the coolness of the evening, the fans were only switched off upon request. The information about the dishes on offer was a bit thin. We hope that our review will not be understood and implemented as criticism but as a suggestion. Then we will be happy to come back.

We were welcomed by an exceptionally friendly team. The service and the food is great. The location, what can you say... You're basically sitting right on the banks of the Hopfensee with a view of the Alps, what else do you want? We'll be back. 🙂👍🙂

Nice beer garden with reasonably normal prices

SB, so a deduction for service, but the guys were very nice, you can't complain about that. I didn't eat anything, so I can't say anything about it. I was also just at the front in the small beer garden, which was really nice

Rating ONLY FOR the kiosk: Seating, but you can also eat on the lawn. Small selection, but easily enough for a quick visit. You get everything in porcelain, no paper plates, great! A very large portion of fries, justified for the price. Ketchup and mayo are free, which I think as a guest is great. I can't comment on the toilets as they haven't been used.

Great food, great space, great location

The lake house looks super inviting in a great location right on the lake. But if you want to have a coffee there in the afternoon, you first have to get past the pompous "bouncer". After checking out my hiking outfit and what felt like an eternal look at the reservation book - where something was free - I was allowed to follow instructions... all the tables were already set for the evening service - you could have pushed the napkin + knife & fork to the side a little - but I was allowed Finally, with a "not in the covered seats, please sit next to them." The great view and the beautiful furnishing style really make you want to stay there longer, but certainly not someone who thinks they work in Monaco's VIP beach club

So, it's like this: If a man has a date and wants to take his loved one to a seemingly sensational place, this is the wrong address! The service did not take into account the wishes of my companion or me. Even after consulting with the “head chef” who couldn’t even prepare 2 oysters instead of 3, we were simply completely disappointed. Unfortunately, the question of why people violate the hygiene measures in such a restaurant and wear leather bracelets on both sides, which harbor bacteria, was unfortunately not answered. The only competent employee was the one who assigned us the space that we didn't reserve. The statement that none of the owners were on site was also wrong, so the ship is completely lost without a captain. I would hire competent staff, which makes a lot of sense in this atmosphere.

We were at the lake house on August 16, 2024. It was a birthday present. We chose the Seehaus based on personal recommendations and the many good reviews. First the positive: the ambience is fantastic and almost unbeatable. The Seehaus Gedeck for 10 euros is good and is enough as a starter for 2 people. The sole and white sauce (no idea what it is) was tasteful. The ratatouille was tasty but was very overcooked. But that was it for the positive: the cucumber-melon gazpacho was lukewarm (not chilled) and tasted of NOTHING. No aromas of fresh cucumbers and melons, the port wine melon as a filler may have been sitting next to a port wine bottle, but was not pickled. I couldn't find the yogurt. My main course was the flamed tuna with marinated rice and sesame sauce. Same situation here: the tuna was dry and had a slightly bitter aftertaste, the rice tasted flat. No idea what it should have been marinated in. The sesame sauce was a brown viscous salty soy (??) topping. I couldn't figure out what the 4 popcorns on the dish were supposed to do. There was no taste explosion in any dish, which I actually expected based on the descriptions, even salt and pepper couldn't be tasted! It's really true, as some of the feedback says: MORE APPEARS than BEING. The Seehaus tries to provide upscale, star-level cuisine and fails miserably. The prices are very high. A few more words about the service: first wait until someone checks on our reservation. A table on the terrace, a place with a view of the blazing sun. The parasol was apparently broken, but after repeated friendly requests, it was put up and lasted the whole evening! Long waiting time just to order the drinks. Despite the request that the soup be served AFTER the Seehaus table setting, both came at the same time. The salt mill barely worked because the salt inside had become damp, unfortunately they didn't bring us a working one. Yes, if the salt mill sits on the table all day, clumping is inevitable. Tip: only bring the salt mill to the table when you are eating! Unfortunately, the Seehaus is not a recommendation for us, as the difference in quality and price is too great.

Appetizer carrot sweetbreads is missing the sweetbreads Pasta also came at the very end Tomahawk steak completely done instead of medium White wine risotto is so salty We were offered 4 beef fillets as an apology, which came relatively quickly, but they were rare. Wine was only poured hesitantly and at the end we poured it ourselves and had to fetch the decanter from another table ourselves The cellar was already sitting privately at a table and just got up when we wanted to pay and leave the restaurant When the meat plate was lifted out, all the meat juice was spread on the table, floor and on the leather jacket - no sorry or the waiter didn't even notice it. Terrace and window panes very dirty, everything full of cobwebs, spiders and bird droppings! Dessert was on the house, but unfortunately it wasn't that great either, there's so much gelatin in the sorbet that it was more like a half-frozen jelly pudding. The parking ticket said it has been validated and we can drive out with it, it would have been nice if we had to pay at the machine ourselves. Very poor performance for the price!

We weren't in the restaurant, just at the kiosk in the beer garden. The food was really quite good for a kiosk, nothing special but you don't expect that at a kiosk. It was self-service, which I think is perfectly fine at a kiosk. The service was very friendly and helpful. The best thing is definitely the ambience, beautiful shaded areas in the beer garden and a large lawn adjacent to it with direct, flat access to the Hopfensee lake including the steeg.

In order to fully enjoy our last day/evening of vacation, we decided not to eat in our mountain hotel but to look for a restaurant outside. And what can I say? It was the best decision to spend our last holiday evening in the lake house. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was simply beautiful. We felt very welcome especially thanks to the funny & hospitable Sicilian staff. Thank you very much for allowing us to have such a lovely evening.

Very good breakfast (German, American, Mediterranean) at, at least as a Munich resident, good prices. The service is also very attentive and friendly and the ambience is beautiful with the view of Lake Hopfensee and the mountains.

Perfect ambience in summer temperatures on the terrace with a perfect dinner. Lamb crown 280 gr. highly recommended

After you mentioned that you only came for a drink and didn't have much time, you weren't served for ages - even though there was nothing going on. You had to ask for a menu of food or drinks and then wait another very long time until the two little shandies were served. We can't say anything about the quality of the food because we didn't eat anything (but it looked good)

A cozy stop right by the lake...

There were four of us who had pre-ordered. The service was attentive and friendly. We sat right by the lake, a wonderful panorama. I had pike perch fillet with potato gratin and beans wrapped in bacon. Unfortunately the zander had a few tackles and I found it a bit dry. Everything else was very tasty. Visually appealing served. Raspberry sorbet with chocolate cake and vanilla sauce. All in one a very nice evening.👍

We were here for lunch and were very satisfied. Very good seasonal food, fresh fish, prawns and oysters. We would like to come again. 🙂

You can't beat it when it comes to arrogance! A waiter said he had to educate us on how to greet him. First you stand in front of a barrier for minutes and “you will be assigned a place”. The restaurant was completely empty and there was hardly a table occupied on the terrace. Unfortunately, the appearance of the dish is deceptive; we both ordered Fischhütterhütte Tagliatelle. Pasta was overcooked and the salmon was unpleasantly dry, even the lobster sauce had no taste! Salt was completely forgotten in the dish, but you got 30 pointless peppercorns on top...

A beautiful restaurant with a great view and very friendly staff. Good selection of food that also tastes great. There is a point deduction for dessert. Since I am personally a real Zabaione fan, I was a little disappointed when I received a glass of so-called Zabaione dessert. Too foamy/liquid and a touch of nothing for eleven euros. Definitely not worth the price. Apart from this dessert, it's worth reserving a table there and having a really good time.

Dear Seehaus, dear Davide, we had a wonderful time with you and thank you for being able to celebrate our special day with you at the end of March! The food and service were great - and the coordination in advance was also easy. For us the most beautiful location right on Lake Hopfensee with a dream view of the mountain panorama!

The only thing that was great was the view. The food was not acceptable for the price level, starters were tasteless with strange consistencies. Steak was quite good but you could do better for the money and we regularly go to the star and award-winning kitchen. Service not satisfactory for the price level. Dog-unfriendly - despite having a small dog in your pocket, you were rudely told that you were only allowed to eat outside. Normally it would have been over here, but due to a reservation and a lack of time, the outside seat was accepted. Unfortunately everything was very disappointing.

The food is really tasty and lovingly prepared. The staff is friendly and the view is great. You can spend a special evening in the Seehaus. We'll be back.

Great view, stylish and modern atmosphere. Parking directly at the restaurant (free for restaurant guests). Very tasty food and excellent quality. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, due to a lack of staff, it was probably a bit understaffed, which resulted in a somewhat chaotic process (especially when it came to preparation at the table). However, the criticism was handled very professionally and accommodatingly, which I would like to expressly mention as positive! The dips are excellent and I haven't had such good octopus in a long time!

We were at the Hopfensee campsite over Easter 24th. The lake house can be reached in 5 minutes by bike. Elegant clothing is appropriate - because it is something special. There are no words - just absolute awesome. The entire service staff and restaurant manager Davide Leocota - the food and just everything else there is. You should also enjoy a cozy drink at the bar afterwards or before. In summer the large terrace lounge beckons. .........we'll be back >!!

Yesterday's event on site left me deeply disappointed as a person and with the service. Well, there was no service at all indirectly because we had already been turned away by the restaurant employee in a very harsh tone with the words "nothing was available" (we were shown to the table). Strangely, the restaurant was almost empty inside and something could have been done outside if one had wanted to. This was confirmed by a guest who was on the way to the toilet when we described the situation to him. We then asked the service employee again and were rejected in a very unfriendly manner. They probably had no interest in guests. Great view of the lake, but too distant now. Too bad.

Went to the Seehaus for a cocktail, unfortunately the Caipirinha was only made with normal sugar and not cane sugar... we were disappointed

Great restaurant with a super nice atmosphere. Good food, good service at very high prices. The price list for a full, very good meal starts at €34. 5 stars would be absolutely deserved if the prices were reduced by €5 per menu. If you have a well-filled bank account, you should definitely visit the place for a great evening with excellent food.
