Restaurant San Marco Hopfen am See in Füssen

We stayed for two nights. The room was nice and clean, with a lake view. It wasn't suitable for allergy sufferers. They used a lot of chemicals to clean it, and it took at least a day until it was somewhat bearable. Unfortunately, we were turned away from the restaurant at 8:30 p.m. because we wanted something to drink. The reason given was that it closed at 9:30 p.m., and they recommended the hotel bar next door. At 10:30 p.m., guests were still being served when we returned. It's hard to understand. It's a shame.

Super friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We had pizza and salad for lunch. Everything was delicious and absolutely reasonable. We'd be happy to go back anytime.

Nice Italian restaurant with a view of the lake. The staff was very friendly. We had pizza and salad. The pizza was ok, although the anchovies that were supposed to be on the pizza were missing at the end. The ingredients for the salad were good, but the dressing was a bit bland.

This pizzeria is simply awesome. We ate there and what can you say, the food and the service were just perfect. We had our dog with us who was given water, a blanket to lie on and, last but not least, even cheese and ham rolls

Fish soup very rich and tasty. Linguini with prawns: Terrible: Shrimp of the smallest variety, more dried tomatoes than pasta, caper apples missing. Ambience: plastic flowers. Staff very friendly. Wine selection ok.

Packed, noisy, and according to the motto: subito! Large portions, well prepared food. Despite the seemingly stressful evening (immediately setting up again to seat the waiting guests), the employees seemed friendly. Unfortunately it has a mass processing atmosphere.

We were out and about again, today on Maundy Thursday. We have been here since Tuesday and unfortunately only chose this restaurant today. Absolutely full points, totally deserved. Prices are not excessive at all and the quality is more than satisfactory. We can only recommend this restaurant. Anyone who wants to eat like they do on the Mediterranean will be most likely to be reminded of this. The service and the ambience are also all harmonious and go hand in hand. You can tell that this is a family business and that passion is put into it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We've been to Hopfensee so many times now, but this was the first time at the Italian restaurant. That certainly wasn't the last time. We were thrilled. With wonderful weather in the winter garden right by the open window, we had lunch before our journey home. The food was delicious and so plentiful that we couldn't finish it. The waiter was super friendly and we felt really comfortable. All of this directly with a view of the lake and the mountains. A clear recommendation.

We love eating out here or getting a pizza. Super friendly staff and the price and performance are right

The five stars awarded are a bit of “advance praise” as we have “only” been able to enjoy coffee and cake here so far. But we are still sure that our recommendation is right. The coffee was really good and the cake was by no means inferior. We were definitely very happy to have “discovered” this small Italian restaurant with very nice staff on our second visit to Hopfensee. Conclusion: TIP!

Big compliment, we are just thrilled! Great menu, outstanding service and the food was a dream! Probably one of the best Italian restaurants we've ever been to (and we eat out a lot 😀) As soon as we arrived, our dog immediately got a bowl and his own blanket, we've never experienced that before!!🥰 We had 3x fish pan and it was absolutely amazing! I wasn't sure which wine to choose and was allowed to try a sip first - that's rare these days. All in all a 12/10👌

Yesterday (December 25th) we were there for dinner with two small dogs, and today (December 26th) we ordered takeaway. The food is simply delicious, fresh and the portions are large. The selection of food is large, and the prices are completely normal and not overpriced. The ambience is very nicely decorated, you definitely feel comfortable. I can only recommend the restaurant 🤗 Kind regards to the young waiter who served us yesterday and today, keep it up! The gastro world needs such friendly employees! 😊

The conditions were rushed, when asked if there was cake they said no. There was still some on display. But it was then worn 5 times to guests, and of course no one wanted the way it looked anymore. The tiramisu we ordered was already past its prime. Dried cream and dry sponge cake. Loveless, overpriced station wagon. The service was very hectic and somewhat unfriendly. The ambience was nice and cozy.

We have been going to Hopfen am See for many years. Whenever you stay, you always go to the San Marco restaurant. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambience 5/5 The food tastes great in every category. Whether pizza, pasta, meat, fish or salad dishes, everything is wonderful, very tasty and beautifully prepared. The service is great! We were at San Marco today 11/1/24 We had reserved a table in the morning for 7:30 p.m. - 2 adults including a wheelchair driver - it was no problem. To be on the safe side, I called one hour before making the reservation in the evening to see if it was really possible with a wheelchair - we got an answer, no problem. When we arrived we initially shrugged at the sight of the wheelchair and then asked if we had made a reservation - we said yes and gave our names and time. Then nothing happened at first and the answer was everything is full. When, after 15 minutes, tourists who hadn't made a reservation asked for a table, we were clearly tense and pointed out a little more aggressively that we had been waiting for 15 minutes and had made a reservation. After 20 minutes we got a table - otherwise we would have left. Unfortunately the space was so tight that we had to move the table to be able to sit - but luckily that was possible. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was tasty - some of the buscetta was a bit charred - but you could still eat it well. What we personally found very unfortunate was that due to the situation at the beginning (20 minutes of waiting for a table - despite a reservation) and the amount of the bill over 80 euros for starters, several drinks, main course and dessert, we were not offered grappa or anything similar when we asked for the bill got - especially since it was handled that way at the tables next to us. Maybe it was because we had two women, one of whom was a wheelchair driver, or that we were slightly annoyed at the beginning that we had to wait 20 minutes - we don't know. The 7 percent tip was happily accepted. We know it differently, but maybe we'll get an explanation as to why things went that way today. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back to the restaurant again because we are locals and, as I said, the food is delicious.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food, the bruschetta served with a lot of pesto, the salad with such a heavy mustard mayonnaise sauce that had more calories than the pizza... the shop is very nice and the service was very attentive despite the place being full, but the food was as mentioned not qualitative.

Friendly staff and fast and efficient kitchen. We ordered a starter salad and bruschetta to start. The salad was huge and tasty. The pizzas were very good. A nice selection of non alcoholic beers.

Whenever we (2 people, 1 small dog) are in the Hopfensee area, it is mandatory to eat at San Marco. It's a great family-run Italian restaurant, with VERY DELICIOUS FOOD. Even our dog was immediately given a blanket and water by our waitress Denise, something I've never experienced before.... THANK YOU SO MUCH DENISE. Her speed in serving is also really commendable. Always keep an eye on your guests, so that every guest feels very comfortable here. The food is always a culinary delight, whether pizza, pasta or dessert it is a dream. Too loud, too busy, unfortunately not tasty: pizza ok, but not that crispy. The lasagna didn't taste good at all… The service was friendly and attentive.

There were two of us there. Unfortunately the restaurant is not worthy of an Italian. The starter was bad but the pizza and pasta were really subpar for an Italian. I don't know if the owner has ever had anything to do with Italian cuisine but unfortunately that was nothing.

Today we went to the San Marco restaurant in Hopfen am See and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The wonderful weather obviously contributed to the good atmosphere, but we were also completely impressed by the restaurant itself. Despite the full house, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and served without waiting. Particularly noteworthy was our waiter, who was not only always attentive but also funny, which gave the evening a particularly pleasant atmosphere. All in all, we can really recommend the San Marco - a perfect evening in a beautiful location. 5 out of 5 stars!

We made a reservation online 1 hour in advance and it worked out great. There was a nice space in the winter garden. We ordered a Capriziosa pizza and a Milano with a good Bardolino and before that an apple spritzer and a blackcurrant spritzer to quench our thirst. The pizza was excellent. Rarely have I had such a good pizza!! Afterwards we ordered an espresso...TOP! But surprisingly it was on the house...nice gesture! Service was very friendly and pleasant! We took a large ball of pistachio ice cream with us for a little digestive walk. Delicious! Overall, we felt very comfortable as guests, it tasted very good and that's why we'll definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

On the first day my husband had delicious steak and I had carpacchio, I don't need the salad under the carpacchio. The service was incredibly friendly and nice, blankets and water for the dogs were brought straight away. We were there normally and I had grilled squid, but it had never seen the grill and didn't taste like anything, do yourself a favor and take it off the menu. My husband had steak again and this time he wasn't happy, the steak was cooked through. The criticism was accepted, we got a grappa. Unfortunately, I also have to say that the music is sometimes very loud, at least at lunchtime.

Meat was ok, there was no salad, I had to order it separately as it was obviously not fresh. In August only half a tomato, unripe. The tablecloth was stained, so we chose a clean one for the table. Prices overpriced. Was there 6-7 years ago, wasn't enthusiastic about it, no fun now either, don't want to go there anymore

All 4 main courses tasted delicious. Portions are very large. Desserts also delicious. Despite the restaurant being full, the staff remains friendly, even if some guests are impatient (I come from the industry and know what I write about). My suggestion: 2 people orderman, 2 people just runners.
