We had a table for two in the conservatory. Unfortunately, despite the patio heater, there was a draft, and it got very cold as soon as the door was open for any length of time. I ordered a pizza and asked them to leave out the mushrooms, but it arrived with them anyway. The pizzas themselves were delicious, and the chili oil was a good complement. Unfortunately, it took ages (around 30 minutes) for our empty plates to be cleared, as well as for other tables. Despite that, we had a lovely evening and would come back again.

From the outside, it looks rather cozy (in a good way 😉). Inside, a lovely atmosphere with incredibly delicious and fresh food at truly fair prices. Excellent! Plus, attentive and friendly service and a fantastic view of the lake and mountains 🤩💥💯

An absolute must-visit if you're at Hopfensee or in the surrounding area. For us, it's the best Italian restaurant we know. In all of Germany. Superb hospitality, excellent service, a wide selection of delicious food and drinks of the highest quality. Superb taste and beautifully presented with great care. Plus, the stunning location on Hopfensee. Prices to suit every budget, so there's something for everyone. We've been coming here for years.

The soups were delicious, but the vegetables were greasy and the squid in the main course wasn't particularly good.

The service was fantastic, friendly, and always smiling. The food was equally delicious. The portions were large, making it hard to finish. The quality was consistently high. We arrived at 9:00 PM, and my daughter ordered tiramisu, which was already sold out. The waitress prepared it fresh and pleasantly surprised us – I highly recommend it!

We love eating here or even just picking up a pizza. The staff is super friendly, and the price is right. It's been our favorite place to eat for years when we're in the area. We've eaten a lot of different things here, including lobster and mussels, and we've never had a bad experience.

From pizza and pasta to meat and fish dishes, everything has always been excellent. A real recommendation in the area.

Unfortunately, I can't make more of it. Once and never again! After more than 25 minutes of finishing our meal—the lasagna was good, but the chicken schnitzels were passable, and the fries were practically raw—our plates still hadn't been cleared. All the tables around us had been served politely several times in the meantime. After even the table next to us was cleared, and the waitress still didn't return to clear the table or ask if we'd like dessert, we walked out on a full table. We paid and didn't leave a single tip, something we've never done before. I have no idea where the good reviews come from, but we can't place them.

A true highlight—the best Italian restaurant I've ever visited in Germany! The service was attentive, friendly, and extremely accommodating. Even the appetizer was delicious, the salmon pasta an absolute dream—I've never eaten such excellent salmon pasta. The cozze (mussels) were also excellent. My dessert was delicious and generously portioned. The prices are completely reasonable, as everything is prepared with top-quality ingredients. My father had the spaghetti with seafood: perfectly balanced, with every ingredient perfectly represented. All in all, a fantastic experience—highly recommended! The view of Lake Hopfensee was also very beautiful.

We ordered a pizza that unfortunately arrived cold at our table. I immediately complained at the counter, and they took our cut pizza away and told us it would be reheated. We absolutely did not want that, as I immediately stated. What's on the table doesn't come back to the customer. We have to pay for this pizza. The server was very friendly and couldn't help it. I think it was the owner who insisted on charging us. That's unacceptable. The situation escalated between us. She claimed we had eaten half of it, which wasn't true! We felt sorry for the very friendly server. The police should have been called. We had generated some revenue, and it was such a nice evening. We didn't need this kind of argument! I paid everything just to get out of this "supposedly great Italian restaurant." A friendly gesture would have been nice, but not such an aggressive atmosphere. "We still have to pay for the cold pizza."

We often go to this restaurant. The food is really excellent! Today's server (whose name is on the receipt) was totally unmotivated and impatient. He barely acknowledged us. It makes dining out so unpleasant. Even our 12-year-old guest from abroad commented on it. It was very noticeable.

Lovely atmosphere with it's glass gazebo type front facing the lake. They were even happy to make a vegetarian version of their risotto even though that wasn't offered in the menu.

Table reserved. When we arrived, there was no table available. We were left standing there and had to wait almost 20 minutes for our table. The food order was pure chaos. There was an absolute mess where the food arrived, and the server was completely overwhelmed. Half of our order was forgotten, and half was taken down incorrectly. The pasta was tasteless, but the pizza was great. A real shame.

I went to San Marco with my boyfriend today and we were completely satisfied! 🍕 We both had pizzas and they were huge, delicious, and freshly prepared. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign. We did have to wait a little while to pay, but that was perfectly fine because the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly. Overall, a great evening and we'll definitely be back! 👏

Were we satisfied? Out of seven vacation days, we ate at San Marco in Hopfen am See five times – that pretty much says it all. We alternated between pizzas and linguine, both very tasty with plenty of toppings – the shrimp, for example, were really big. Beautifully situated with a conservatory-like atmosphere – we'll definitely be back. We promise.

The food and service were excellent; I haven't had such good fish soup in a long time. The pizza is also highly recommended.

I haven't had such a good overall package in a long time. It was quite busy in the fall, but not overcrowded in the evenings. The food was very good to excellent, service top-notch, and prices great! We'll be back!

The food was fantastic – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I especially liked how every request was catered to individually. The waitresses are truly attentive; we went to dinner with our Australian Shepherd, Sky. The nice young lady brought a water bowl and a dog blanket. Later, Sky also got some ham because she's so well-behaved and, of course, pretty. I highly recommend the restaurant.

An absolute insider tip! We come here all the way from Kempten, and it's worth it every time. The food is amazing, everything is just right. Super friendly staff and delicious food. We had a Rialto pizza and delicious ravioli with ricotta. The highlight was the tiramisu for dessert. Everyone was very kind to our little dog. She provided a blanket and water bowl immediately.

We chose this pizzeria because it was highly recommended by friends and were unfortunately a bit disappointed. The pizzeria's popularity was evident in the very close seating and the long queues outside, but the staff were very organized and managed the rush well. Unfortunately, the two pizzas we got weren't particularly good. Both were completely dried out, as if they'd been sitting around for a while, which couldn't have been the case, since they were already piping hot. The flavor was overpowered by dried oregano (at least, I think it was some) and otherwise, they were very dry and didn't taste as authentically Italian as they actually looked. I have no idea why we chose these pizzas; the pizza probably tastes better there, otherwise they wouldn't have such a good reputation. The salad was good.

We were there for dinner. A relaxed and friendly welcome right from the start. The food and service were top-notch. We'd be happy to come back.

A huge compliment to our waitress, who was very child-friendly, personable, super nice, attentive, and accommodating. We've rarely experienced such outstanding service with our little daughter. The food was excellent, the portions were huge, and we were super full and happy 🤗

The restaurant is very well located, and the atmosphere and decor are very nice. The food is delicious, both the daily specials and the à la carte dishes. The servers are very friendly. Only the beer was at room temperature.

We wanted ice cream and had to wait quite a long time, even though only one other table was occupied. Four more people then came and asked to sit at the table next to us. We were then rudely asked to move our chairs. The group then sat down somewhere else. A short time later, an employee yelled ironically at us from across the restaurant: "Thanks for your back!" Customer service is different!

The restaurant was constantly overcrowded and the service staff were stressed out. We felt like we were in a mass-production facility. Some of the food was quite bland. The minestrone was like vegetable broth, drenched in thyme. The tagliatelle tasted only of garlic and Parmesan, and the spinach had no flavor at all. Unfortunately, it wasn't our choice, as we prefer a relaxed, unhurried meal and had different expectations based on the reviews.

I like the vibe, the food and the service in the restaurant. I went there for lunch out of curiosity and it was great so I went back the following day and reserved a table for dinner because the restaurants in the area tend to be full packed during dinner. I was relieved that I booked a table because the whole experience was amazing. I have never been to Italy and it makes me want to go there and taste the REAL Italian cuisine.

Particularly noteworthy is the friendly staff, who apparently don't change constantly (I've seen the same people three years in a row). Everyone knows what to do. The food is also, of course, excellent.

We went there in the evening for pizza. People were queuing, waiting for tables to open. The restaurant was completely full, but tables gradually became available, and we only had to wait a few minutes. Despite the crowd, the staff were super friendly and cheerful. They even took the time to chat. The pizza was incredibly delicious! Nicely seasoned and juicy. The mixed salad was also good. Absolutely excellent value for money! There was also an ice cream counter and delicious desserts. However, they didn't fit in because of the large pizza 😁 Highly recommended!

Last night, we spontaneously had the idea of some delicious Italian food. It worked. We were very impressed by the San Marco restaurant. All the dishes were prepared with the utmost care. The ingredients used were consistently fresh and appetizingly presented. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The seasonings were delicate and imaginative. The portions were sufficiently large and attractively presented. The service was friendly and attentive, and even in stressful situations (a heavy thunderstorm was brewing), they acted precisely and always kept an overview. Compliments to the entire team. A visit is definitely worth it, and you should treat yourself to the pleasure of discovering this high-quality restaurant for yourself.

Actually, a pretty nice Italian restaurant. The service was excellent, very friendly and quick – a real pleasure. But the ice cream served was practically an insult to the famous Italian ice cream. Lots of cream, lots of little cookies in it, and where was my ice cream? Some strange liquid that was supposed to be 'amareno' and ice cream? Neither I nor my wife could find any in the Black Forest cup. So, things need to improve.
