We were able to enjoy Advent Saturday as a family. The modern ambience already appealed to us. Cleverly placed over-high benches divide the rooms and we were able to have a good conversation at any time. The team always unobtrusively tried to fulfill our wishes. All food and drinks were of very good quality! Conclusion: We can highly recommend the house! Keep it up! Great!

The restaurant has a lot of charm and the staff is very friendly and committed. Unfortunately, according to local experience and assessment, the food is only mediocre and very little appears to be completely fresh or homemade. There is still considerable potential for improvement here.

Very nicely decorated, the staff friendly but I don't remember the food well. Schnitzel is something different, the way it is presented here has nothing to do with it, the chef insisted that it wasn't a frozen product, it stayed in the room like that, but the shape and appearance are very reminiscent of the sauce with mushrooms like at the snack bar for only 20 Demanding € is quite a lot. In Wernigerode in the center next to the police station a portion of sauerbraten with red cabbage and toilets cost €13.50 and that was definitely handmade and very tasty.

We ate there several times during our vacation. Super delicious (be sure to try the chocolate cake!!!!), the staff are very friendly, especially Jessica the Fairy Godmother. :) The idea of ​​the playground is also great so that parents can eat in peace. We'd love to come back.

Nice restaurant in Schierke. The food tasted good and the children also found something tasty. I can only recommend it.

There are definitely better restaurants in town. The food was rather average. The portion sizes are rather small. The prices definitely don't match. We didn't particularly like the atmosphere. It is also quite open and large overall, which makes it seem loud and uncomfortable.

We had breakfast at Luis a few times before and were always satisfied. This time too, at the beginning of November, Luis offered us the opportunity to have a good breakfast, even though there were hardly any guests in Schierke in the very low season. The service at breakfast was always nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is very cozy and the breakfast buffet offers a good selection for around 20 euros per person. However, we had very bad experiences at dinner. The veggie burger was okay and so was the cheese spaetzle, but neither tasted "homemade" but rather something like ready-made products. I ordered a glass of dry Merlot with my meal. I was brought a glass of wine to the table (not poured at the table and without a sample). The wine was warmed above room temperature and tasted bland, sweet and stale. He also bubbled quite a bit. Since we are wine connoisseurs, I immediately noticed the lack of quality and a glass costs 9.00 in Louis. I asked the waitress briefly and told her that the wine tasted sweet. Then she came with a new glass and the open bottle, which was almost empty, and had me tested again. I said kindly that the wine wasn't my cup of tea. She let me try another one. This was also very sweet and didn't taste particularly good. So I said kindly that I wanted to skip the wine today. Another waitress immediately came and asked if I wanted something else to drink and I ordered the homemade lemonade. Then the bill came and the waitress said firmly and clearly: "I have to charge you for the wine." Which wine? The stale, sweet booze? It was taken away from me immediately and then she had to charge me for it? I have never experienced anything like this and was very disappointed. There was no tip that evening. I won't be back for dinner :(.

Nice quiet restaurant with very tasty food. The cheese spaetzle is highly recommended, as are the burgers and bowls. The summer tea was a great drink. There was a very nice and competent service on site. And the price-performance ratio is more than okay at around €20-30 per person.

We spent a long weekend in Schierke am Brocken and decided to have dinner at Luis Restaurant twice - a perfect choice after a long day of hiking! The food was simply delicious, every dish was lovingly prepared and the taste was an absolute highlight. It was a pleasure to be pampered here, especially after the day's hikes, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. A place to feel good and enjoy – we would love to come back!

I personally didn't like it. The food was like that, but it wasn't typical for the Harz region. But Veltins, or the other variety from the Veltins Brewery, didn't work at all. It doesn't have to be Hasseröder, but the neighboring restaurant has Altenauer Harzer Pilsener, which was delicious. Online table reservation is really good and necessary.

Very tasty food and particularly friendly service. The children were also thought of. There are board games, coloring pages and a separate games room (in the basement).

The restaurant at the Schierke Harzresort is very modern with a playful menu. We made reservations for dinner, which is easy to do via the website. But if the reserved table is incorrectly scheduled internally and you have to wait for over 15 minutes, it seems a bit unprofessional... and not just in our case. Guaranteed free drinks were then billed for afterwards. The food was good, but not overly spectacular as the menu and ambience initially suggested. We had two different bowls, beef roulade and schnitzel. Lemonade was made with syrup and the Wildberry Lille was also quite stretched. All in all it was ok, but we weren't really convinced by the evening.

Very cozy restaurant. We went to the Harzresort for the breakfast buffet as a hiking group and had a successful start to the day. The large selection left nothing to be desired. Everything was fresh and appetizingly prepared.

Both the service and the ambience are really nice. However, unfortunately the food is only convenience, frozen goods. We were particularly disappointed with the schnitzel because it was definitely not homemade. To then charge €20 for this is bottomless. Then it's better to charge €25 and make it fresh rather than sell the customer something like that. The food arrived after 8 minutes and looked too perfect to be homemade. Unfortunately it doesn't taste good at all. The drinks prices are the bottom of the barrel. Completely covered.

We were at Luis for the second time today, I can recommend it with a clear conscience, the food is delicious, the service is great and the staff are great, great and super friendly. However, I advise anyone who wants to eat there to book a table in advance. Otherwise you could be disappointed.

I can't understand the negative reviews here at all. I can't confirm any of them. The restaurant is great. The service is super friendly and knows her stuff very well. The ambience is great - a bit darkened - that makes it a bit "cosy" ;) - and the food was also great. I will come here again next time. - would give 6 stars if I could.

At first glance it is a restaurant with a very cozy atmosphere. We describe the service as friendly and benevolent. I can't give the ambience more than 2 stars, but certain details are simply inconsistent. It becomes clear that there is a lack of attention to detail here. For me, the ambience, music and appearance of the service staff don't match the mood of “I'd love to come back”. From the outside, the restaurant appears to be upscale. When you look at the details, appearances are a bit deceptive. The food tastes good. We had chicken bowl and salmon bowl. And dumpling fries. Dumpling fries were new to me, I like that and they were well made: crispy and pleasantly seasoned. Thanks Luis. All in all it was a nice dinner on a couple's vacation.

We went to Luis in Schierke especially for breakfast and didn't regret it. Great ambience, very good breakfast buffet and very good service. Even shortly before breakfast ended, eggs were cooked for us. Our friendly waitress (Audra) was always approachable. The Luis is also a good starting point for hikes in the Harz Mountains. We will definitely come back!

From A for ambience to Z for preparation, everything is great here. The burger was big and tasty, as were the (dumpling) fries that came with it. If you go here, you should be aware that the price is high.

We had reserved a table for 8 people at 8 p.m. On a Saturday. We sat for half an hour without being asked for drinks etc. We then went to the bar and asked to be served. The drinks then came in batches along with the food. But the food was good and the portions were large.

Great restaurant with a playground and charging station opposite. The food was good and the portions were reasonable. In my opinion the price level was slightly higher. The service did its best, but was understaffed.

Ordered a plate of schnitzel, with fries (mayo extra for €1), mushroom cream sauce and cucumber salad with cress. Quality of schnitzel and fries was very good. Also ordered Soljanka soup (sausage stew). Very good taste, worth it! To drink a delicious homemade strawberry-raspberry lemonade (other varieties are also available). Happy to come back!

The restaurant is well decorated, the service is very nice. We ordered a burger, it was tasty, and a pork chop, which was delicious given the quantity, but not necessarily in terms of taste. Definitely over-salted... also, there were a lot of bees flying inside the restaurant and, unfortunately, we had to shoo them away half of the time we spent there. But it's not entirely the restaurant's fault. 😀

Very nice restaurant with a great view. We sat very comfortably on the terrace and had an excellent meal. Price performance is exemplary and it was really tasty with very small drawbacks. I would particularly like to emphasize the great service. The young lady was very friendly and attentive, always joking, which really made us happy and multiplied the already beautiful atmosphere! The food was delicious but also very expensive. The portions were quite small. Unfortunately, there was no carbon dioxide in either my rhubarb spritzer or my wine spritzer. When I mentioned this with my wine spritzer, non-carbonated water was refilled. The waitress was very stressed and when a new person served us, she no longer knew what we wanted. We had our coffee burnt against the wasps, which helped. The atmosphere was super nice. :)

So far everything was great, but I personally found the prices too expensive for the quality. I had hoped for a lot more from my chicken bowl: I interpreted the dumpling fries as "fried strips of bread dumplings", but they were simply strips of toast..., the salad was drowning in the coleslaw dressing, the rocket was at best negligible Trace available (otherwise some cheap iceberg variety), I couldn't find the guacamole cam...

We have been to Restaurant Luis twice now. Both visits were very nice. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We and our dog sat outside with chilly music. What we thought was really great was that when you book online you are asked directly whether you are bringing a dog with you. Very good. 👍 The dog immediately got a bowl of water and felt comfortable too. The food was very tasty and will definitely be repeated next time we visit the Harz. Thanks to the whole team for the great time.

Solid food at an upscale price. We paid just under €14 for the cheese spaetzle, very tasty and good value for money, we can recommend it without hesitation. The portion of fries was 7€ but a bit small or the sauces should be included and not cost an extra 2€. Nevertheless, nice service and a nice ambience to end the day after hiking.

Today I was in Schierke with my son for the first time and the first impression of Luis made us stop there. The food was terrific and the staff was extremely friendly. At the end, we were even offered free postcards to send for us. All in all, exactly as you would imagine, we will definitely be back.
