More appearance than reality. Food was oversalted and there were only 3 small slices of sausage with 3 champion slices on the huge pizza. And the bruschetta had been drowned in balsamic. Definitely too expensive for the quality.

The welcome was very friendly, we reserved a table for the two of us. The pleasant lighting and, last but not least, the well-dressed staff created a very attractive atmosphere. My wife ordered a pizza, which at 32 cm was not only very filling but also very tasty. We ate the rest at the hotel later in the evening. I had a pizza, what can I say, just delicious. Overall, a clear recommendation from us for a great dinner. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Hmmmmm, price performance is not right in my opinion. Very expensive, especially for pizza and pasta; However, unfortunately the price does not justify the quality - rather average - we have enjoyed much better Italian cuisine

We ate at Montevino twice during our vacation in Schierke. It was very tasty both times. As starters we had the bruschetta and the mozzarella with ham and rocket. The bruschetta was perfect in taste and consistency. It was nice and spicy, the bread was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For the main course we had the pizza pesto, pizza salmon with spinach, pasta and a pizza bread filled with mozzarella, ham, parmesan, tomatoes and rocket. Of the main courses, my favorite was the pizza pesto. The service was very nice. Since I sat down at the “wrong” table on the second evening, the only one that wasn’t set, the men actually swapped tables without further ado. Wishes were asked at comfortable intervals. The ambience was very nice, I would love to sit in the front glass annex in the summer.

Food good, but not special. Attention: The lukewarm pizza pocket is not a calzone, but pizza dough filled with cold burrato and tomatoes.

Reservation was very easy online. Staff very nice. The food was quite good. There was too much garlic in my pasta. The bruschetta was too cold. Otherwise the meal went very quickly. I barely waited 5 minutes for my food. But the restaurant was also empty.

The restaurant already makes an upscale impression from the outside. The ambience is also quite nice. The prices are therefore quite confident. However, the food was really delicious! However, the service was a bit lacking in terms of attention.

We had an excellent meal in the restaurant on January 7th, 2023. I cannot understand the negative reviews of the site at all and cannot confirm them in any way. The ambience, the furnishings and the food are highly recommended and deserve a full number of stars. The starter was on the table after 5 minutes, the main courses after a total of max. 30 minutes. We had: Fillet steak - excellent cooking point (38€) 3 glasses of wine (12€ per 0.2 glass) 1 water, 1 cola (4€), carpaccio (17.50€), and sepia tagliatelle filled with salmon (16.50€). Overall everything was excellent. The restaurant is in the higher price range and you should be prepared for that, but you shouldn't forget that Schierke is a top tourist destination, so you're also paying for it. Unfortunately, there are far too few parking spaces available. Anyone who has ever been to Schierke knows what the parking situation is like there. Nevertheless, we would like to come back, since we live regionally (Wernigerode), the Italian restaurant is a great place for us to have a great meal. For the people who are interested, We paid €115 for 2 people.

It was very tasty and we got a table at short notice. The Altenauer Harzer Pilsener is highly recommended, the Harz atypical Veltins from the neighboring restaurant is not possible.

A nice, small Italian restaurant with a cozy yet modern atmosphere. Here, too, you can easily reserve via the website. Everything was great up to this point... But then we encountered a language barrier that was difficult to overcome... straws can become a pantomime act. Ordering the food and drinks took some patience and receiving at least as much. We had three pizzas and a somewhat indefinable lasagne (there are different versions, but this one was special in texture and ingredients). We then wanted to pay quickly because a child was sick, this was ignored for a long time and then forgotten. Only when I went straight to the staff counter was I allowed to pay...But I had to calculate what I would get back in change. We ate here but probably won't again.

In itself a nice restaurant, the atmosphere is very nice. The waiters are not the best, it took forever to get served and they didn't even know the dishes on the menu. I ordered a steak for €80 and had to describe what “rare” was. Then I asked for herb butter and was given a strange knife. Overall it was still pretty good.

Pizza and pasta are simply amazing. Breakfast is rich and good. Service and boss very friendly and helpful. Very cozy. Reservation is highly recommended. Word gets around about quality. Price/performance appropriate. We'd love to come back.

The restaurant looks upscale from the outside, but unfortunately it's just a normal pizzeria. In terms of taste, our pizzas were a total failure. Apart from a pungent tomato sauce and tons of oregano, there was basically nothing to taste.

Ich nehme mal an ', dass es der Chef des Hauses war. Unverständlich wie man so mit seinen Gästen umgeht. Das geht gar nicht. Welche Arroganz und Überheblichkeit...mich sieht dieses Lokal nicht mehr Aber mit den Touris kann man das ja machen.

The food was above average. But it also pays more than well The service was a disaster. For example, we would have easily had 2 to 3 drinks per person...if someone had paid attention to the empty glasses (there were enough staff and numerous people scurried past our table) The boss cannot be surpassed in his arrogance. A real Zampano Unfortunately you have to give one star here. He's not worth it. That also brings my overall result down 🤷‍♂️ We didn't feel welcome here and will certainly not visit this "store" again.

Great restaurant, delicious food and a friendly boss. We were there twice on vacation with 6 people. Everyone was thrilled.

Great atmosphere, delicious food, unfortunately burnt but still soggy pizza base, noticeably too acidic salad dressing for a monotonous salad. I would have liked it differently for the higher price range. We were here with 2 (small) children and ordered a Margherita pizza for the kids along with the starters for us adults. However, our main courses were served first and the kids didn't get anything. After bridging the gap with bread and oil, it wasn't until we asked that we realized that 2 out of 4 guests hadn't had anything to eat until then. The pizza and a soup, which were actually planned as starters, had to be ordered again. There was no small gesture of compensation. Unfortunately, the boss of the house is by far the unfriendly, coldest and most ignorant of his kind. Children were unsettled with irony (child was asked to clean the door window with a gesture because he wanted to push the door open instead of pulling). We didn't feel welcome or well looked after. My aim was not to offend you, sorry for that, but to give you feedback on how you appear to us as unbiased guests of the adjoining family accommodation and how this affects the atmosphere, and that was not just a snapshot, but began with the first contact upon arrival and continued throughout the entire stay in your restaurant. Service takes a long time. Took about 20 minutes before our drinks were ordered. After ordering, the pizzas were quickly prepared. Had to eat quickly because the food was presented at such a temperature that the pizza quickly got cold. Too bad!

Unfortunately we stopped here for a drink on the way to the hotel. Some came quickly, the rest only came after 20 minutes and repeated requests. Bad service, unfriendly and not even an answer when saying goodbye. Very unfortunate!!!

My mother and I went to Montevino for dinner. Great ambience and very refreshing for the Harz. The food was super Italian and delicious. What irritated us or noticed unpleasantly was that the waitress fixed her hair in front of us several times and then continued to serve. This gives us a clear point deduction in terms of hygiene. Therefore only 2 out of 5 stars.

A lovely restaurant that tries to do a bit of classy Italian. Unfortunately the service is not good enough and the food is too expensive for the mediocre quality. We had appetizers, pasta and pizza. The bruschetta was good, but the pizza and pasta were unfortunately over-seasoned. The pizza was too salty, the pasta only tasted like tomato sauce. It's a shame, because the restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and cozy.

We chose this Italian restaurant based on a recommendation to end our vacation, but unfortunately we are very disappointed. The greeting was already very cold. We came with a toddler. We were offered a high chair, but not brought. We had to ask again. The food was okay but way too overpriced. Advertised side dishes were not brought and a tip was expected when paying. Please and thank you are foreign words, especially from the boss himself. Other guests were told where to sit. Overall a nice restaurant but the service and friendliness are poor.

An outstanding fantastic Italian restaurant down Germanys famoust hill Brocken in the middle of the village called Schierke. The cicchetti as starters, traditionely from Venice, makes the aperitive life easier. After that we had linguine with gorgonzola sauce and beef-filet stripes which was delicous. A large variety on the wine menu shows all the Italian wine art!! All in all a perfect dinner! Grazie mille per la bellissima serata e ciao! Alla prossima volta!

Wonderful evening with delicious food, not as old-fashioned as in other restaurants away from big cities and also a little higher standard. I had Pizzone alla Costa. It was a folded pizza base with buffalo mozzarella, raw ham, rocket, cocktail tomatoes, parmesan and olive oil. See image. You can also see a rhubarb spritz on it. Good news for vegans: There are 2 vegan pizzas on the menu.

Waiting over an hour for a burnt pizza is unspeakable. Especially when the restaurant is almost empty. In addition, the staff is borderline unfriendly.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite to our taste. However, it was still good. We wanted to sit outside during our visit because we had a small child with us, but this wish was denied due to the "uncertain weather" and the unplanned service outside. We and other guests didn't think that was nice. Especially since the weather would definitely have allowed it.

Very friendly, hard-working staff with very little knowledge of German. Pizza Neapolitan tastes good. Dough but overall too soft for me... probably because there is just too much topping on it. This can be done better.

Der Service war eine Katastrophe - ein paar Bespiele: - Getränke kamen nach der Vorspeise - Kellner konnte nicht sagen welches Bier alkoholfrei ist - irre lange Wartezeiten - bei den Vorspeisen Stand für 2 Personen 18,50 € - etwas versteckt stand p.P. - Vorspeisen wurden ohne Erklärung serviert - weitere Getränke gab es nur mit mehren Nachfragen - auf die Rechnung mussten wir ewig warten - auch an den Nachbartischen wurde sich massiv über den Service beschwert Fazit: das Essen hat das Potential für ein ordentliches Restaurant - der Service gerechtfertig die Preise nicht im Ansatz

I was there in mid-June this year. together with a friend after a witch's climb stage on site. First of all: I can absolutely understand all the positive recessions. Nice atmosphere with a selection of food and drinks of above-average quality. We enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our stay suffered over the course of the evening due to a lack of attention from the employee, which - because I asked about drinks that were still missing - didn't get any better, even in the rather unusual volume, with the remark “Don't you have patience?”😉. We couldn't really explain this disharmony, but everyone has a bad day. Apparently he noticed this himself and gave us two red wines and two Don Pappa rums off our bill. That was a nice gesture and shows greatness. Thank you again for that.

It was a trip to Italy, simply delicious from appetizer to dessert. A great wine, super delicious food, accompanied by great service and taste. We will be there again soon, we were just thrilled.

The food is actually really tasty, but the service and the kitchen have deficiencies. 1. Service is very slow and inattentive. 10 minutes to receive the card after the table has been allocated. Another 10 minutes until we could order. The restaurant was not crowded at that time. In general the service is inattentive. Empty glasses sometimes up to 20 minutes. Service only on request. 2. We ordered a lasagna. So far so good. When we brought it, the waitress asked if it wasn't too dark. After removing the 2cm layer of parsley, we realized why the waitress had asked. The lasagna was completely burnt and really inedible! It's a shame, you could have just made a new lasagna. Instead, it was decided to solve the problem using supposed ganitur. The pizza we ordered alongside the lasange was good, but could have used another 3-5 minutes in the oven. So there was a conscious attempt to cover up an accident in the kitchen. Upon request, the raven-black and charred lasagna was then turned into a pizza. The pizza was then included on the bill (mind you, €4 more expensive than the lasagna). No apologies, no limoncello, no nothing. At €82 for 2 people I would have expected much more. In summary, we probably won't come back. You can and should expect a lot more for the money!!!

Nice cozy restaurant. Nice and polite reception. The order was allocated and taken quickly. You didn't have to wait long for the food either. In terms of taste, the pizzas were very convincing and the size of the pizzas was also good. A little tip: reserve in advance by phone or Google. You can also order meals and take them away.

Everything as it should be. Ambience, service and the food is freshly prepared and tastes very good.

We ordered Pizza Salame Napoli and Linguine Chef and both were delicious. For dessert we had tiramisu and warm chocolate cake - both were wonderful. Overall, not cheap, but very tasty.

The waiter misunderstood the order, so the problem started; he only speaks a little German. Then the chef came to our table and asked. We were the only guests at 2 p.m. After 20 minutes the 2 pizzas arrived, mine was with rocket, mushrooms and spinach, the rocket and mushrooms were completely burnt and inedible. Complained. I got a new pizza, with a pile of spinach leaves, arugula, champions and cherry tomatoes, all raw like a salad plate. I'll put photos up. I couldn't eat that. My husband had so much gorgonzola on it that it was almost inedible, the cheese ran down his fingers, it's just a good thing we were there alone! Despite a complaint about my pizza/salad, I had to pay the full price. Never again, something like that shouldn't be called an osteria or pizzeria.

An absolute dream. In 2022 we came here for dinner by chance and then on two evenings in a row because it was so delicious. We combined our last vacation with a visit here and we were simply thrilled again.

The food was very tasty, unfortunately no attention was paid to the fact that there was only a salt shaker on the table. Pepper and oil were only given to us late after we asked directly. Which was a shame because our order was initially forgotten and we then waited almost an hour for our food. A plate of bread would have been nice, or a schnapps on the house afterwards or something similar. We had the feeling of a tourist restaurant: the service doesn't necessarily have to be great because the guests probably won't come back anyway.

Super delicious food! The boss has a sense of mischief and is always up for a joke. 😀 We had dinner with 9 people. The waitress and waiter were nice, there were a few communication problems, but nothing earth-shattering (it works very well in Italian 👍😁) 7 of us also had a holiday apartment in the associated mountain forest suite and the boss also made breakfast possible for the other two who had stayed somewhere else. Thank you for this great flexibility!!! 👍 Despite the lack of staff, we tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible! Thank you very much for your efforts! Wir hatten uns auf ein Steak gefreut was uns nur fürs Wochenende angepriesen wurde. Steak leider erst ab 18 Uhr. Wir waren 17 Uhr hier. Personal leider sehr unflexibel Koch auch und wurden auf Nudeln mit Fleisch verwiesen. Essen war in 5 Minuten da aber es wurde nicht gefragt ob alles passt und der Kellner mit der Pfeffermühle fehlte wie sonst in anderen Restaurant üblich ist .
