Restaurant Lotsenhus in Fehmarn

We spontaneously had lunch here out of season. Due to some bad reviews, our expectations weren't very high. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good. The cod in egg shell was well done, the fried potatoes were good and so were the fries. Only the fish cake was too seasoned for my taste, but not too bad. Self-service is OK too.

If you know the Lotsenhus from 2-3 years ago, you can only be disappointed. No staff, OK. Unfortunately this is often the case. Cleanliness is no longer a priority here. Frozen goods in the deep fryer. Yum. We won't be coming back again.

Go out for a quick meal... with self-service. Food is delicious and the staff is friendly.

It's a bistro ok, but from the looks of it my steaks were made in the deep fryer and the taste is really something else. Curry sausage is ok for the price, but the only sauce you get is curry ketchup from a bottle. The only thing that was really ok were the fries. I could have invested the 40 euros better. But everything else we had was real It's really bad. If you go a few meters further, there's a fish cart that makes everything fresh and is really tasty.

They advertise “fish rolls sooooo delicious” - well, the positive thing was that the roll was warmed up, but honestly we had matjes rolls that should have been called onion rolls. A small herring, a small lettuce leaf and onion pieces in large quantities. We had 5 of them... Plus a fried fish roll consisting of rolls and fried fish without salad and some tartar sauce on the side. At EUR 7.90 it was completely overpriced for what was on offer. Only the Bismarck fish roll was convincing. It's a shame actually...

Terrible fried fish rolls 😱 The restaurant looks attractive, the service was okay BUT the fried fish roll was subpar. It wasn't greasy, bland or tasty either! It's a shame about the almost 8 euros I paid for it...it's good that I had a little runt with me, that calmed my stomach a bit.

Probably the least appealing fried fish roll you can get in SH: no lettuce leaf, no tartar sauce, absolutely nothing except dry fried fish between the roll halves...

Highly recommended, dogs are also welcome.

Before, that is, before Corona, it was really good here. The food, which you could choose from a variety of dishes on the menu, was delicious and the friendly service brought the food to the table. There was also time to talk to the employees. Now in 2024 the whole thing looks like a snack bar with an official atmosphere. You order at the counter. A few dishes are carelessly written on A4 pieces of paper stuck to the counter. After ordering, you get a beeper that, like an authority, starts making noise and vibrating when the food is prepared. By handing over the beeper at the ordering counter, you will then be given your food, which you can then take to the table. With a family of 4 this becomes interesting. While you're eating, you're constantly being told by other guests' beepers how uncomfortable it is there. I don't go there anymore.

For the last 3 years we have always eaten well and cheaply there on holiday. We were always satisfied in both the restaurant and the bistro. Until today... we ate in the bistro, sour meat with fried potatoes and Alster water. The fried potatoes were swimming in fat, the bacon and onions were completely burnt and the sour meat had to be submerged under onions and lots of cress? search first. The aspic was melted and what was left was fatty and tasteless pork. Only the Alster was actually enjoyable. The crowning glory was the price. 47.20 euros. Everything was calculated individually. I could have set the money on fire. Never again.

Great food for a self-service restaurant. The counter staff is very nice. This is the third year we've been eating here.

Fish sandwiches are frozen goods. And €7.90 for that? Outrageous prices and in our opinion not tasty either.

Matjes smelled and was definitely no longer fresh. Cod fried/fried dead and dry. Remulade sour and out of the bucket. Beetroot doesn't make up for the culinary misery and not everyone likes it. Canteen quality of the lower category. 👎🏻

Unfortunately, due to a lack of staff, there was only self-service service, so we didn't eat anything there and can't comment on the quality

Staff very friendly, food was plentiful and delicious and a great location at the harbor, we will come back

My fish cake was delicious. Prices are probably due to tourism. Great location right on the water and parking nearby. Service was friendly.

First visit, and complete surprise. Food extremely good and rich. Service perfect. Toilets very clean. That was an invitation to the next visit. Back after a year full of anticipation. Absolute disappointment compared to last year. Like a fast food joint, self-service, small portions, menu reduced. The kitchen? Well, if we can pick up our food after 5 minutes, that says enough about them. Not recommended!

Great food, not cheap but tasty and plentiful, friendly and helpful staff. It's a shame that there's construction work going on right now, otherwise there's a good view of the water

Fried potatoes were great, but fried fish (frozen ready-made product?) and salad (ready-made dressing?) were unfortunately not a hit.

nice location, comfortable seating - direct view of the harbor. Baked fish with fries and a drink just under 12 euros per person. Unfortunately, the taste is a no go. The fried fish comes as a pallet in a dry roll with a separate tartar sauce. I would have expected something different right at the harbor.

Went there for dinner today. The staff at the order counter were annoyed and unfriendly, we were almost ashamed to order something. Shortly after us, another couple came who then turned around and left again. Well, if the food had at least been good. Far too expensive and too little, didn't taste like fresh fish.

Extremely bad bistro with extremely bad food! I don't understand the positive reviews here. In addition, the people at the checkout are very unfriendly and the prices are in no way justified and are completely excessive for a self-service bistro. Look at the pictures. One should be a schnitzel and the other a cod fillet.

I have never been so speechless as after visiting this restaurant! For two fish sandwiches 20 euros. Cheap baked roll, not even a lettuce leaf, cucumber or coleslaw. The fried fish is slapped in dry. The children fish fingers with fries. For this 8.50 euros. Taste is different. 50 euros in total and everyone had a drink. Way too expensive. Friendly service also not available. I absolutely cannot recommend!!! I was annoyed for days!!!

Positively surprised. The fish soup was delicious and with plenty of fish. The fried fish rolls were also satisfactory. It's pleasant to sit on the terrace. The tables are cleaned. Parking is free from 6 p.m.

Normalerweise immer einen Besuch wert, der Dorsch ist lokal und frisch aus der Ostsee und super lecker! Kommen seit Jahren hier her, leider ist das Bistro seit einiger Zeit auch den kleineren Portionsgrößen zum Opfer gefallen. Portionen, die immer kleiner wurden und Preise um die 15€ pro Teller. Also leider eher eine Enttäuschung. Bei unseren jüngsten Besuch war die Panade des Dorschfilets auch leider super salzig! Hoffentlich nur einen schlechten Tag erwischt!

Terrace is quite nice. The prices for the food are a disgrace. €15.50 for a plaice fillet without a side dish. For the mushy fried potatoes another €4.50. The plaice was carelessly slapped onto the plate without a lettuce leaf. Then it's better to go 20m further to the fish shop. I think that's a complete rip-off.

No-frills restaurant with decent quality and just acceptable prices. Certainly not the best fish in Burg, but the restaurant is fine. You order at the counter and a pager informs you when the food can be picked up. The dining room and the sanitary facilities were clean.

It is very clean and beautiful, there is a good view and lots of seats, there was a small mishap while eating but I got the money back straight away, the prices are definitely covered by a full large plate, can only be recommended👍

....the Viennese style schnitzel doesn't deserve its name. Dry, pressed breading garnished with some sprouts.

Pretty steep prices for a self-service restaurant. Fish dishes without a side dish 15.50 euros a portion of fries 4.20 a drink included, then you quickly pay 50 euros for 2 people. The taste was okay.

We wanted to eat good fish and drove to the harbor. We paid over 40 euros for 2 adults and two children and the fish was a disaster. Baked fish twice, had no taste at all and the kibbelinge exactly the same. Were very disappointed.

The food was really great, unfortunately the actual restaurant is closed and only the snack bar is open. But the food here was great too. Hopefully the restaurant will open again - it was a real highlight last year. But you can also notice the loss of staff here. The boss was super nice, happy to repeat

Made a stopover in Fehmarn. The Lotsenhus is very nice. The dishes are simple but tasty. The coastal pilsner tastes like mee(h)r. Delicious.

Looks great, taste flop. Since I believe you should give every restaurant a second chance, I was here again with three people, even though I was disappointed with the taste last year. However, this time it was different, it was even worse than last year. Visually you look forward to the “tasty” food, but the taste is a disaster, the currywurst tastes somehow bitter, and not sweet like you are used to with curry sauce, and you have to use the sauce sparingly, there isn't much. The fried potatoes taste boring and are very fatty so that they are still piping hot even after 10 minutes, while the sausage is already warm. The biggest disappointment were the fries, which seemed like they had been fried for the third time, were quite dark, and you had to force your fork into them because otherwise you had no chance of getting these very hard fries onto your fork. They also taste like they have been salted three times. The system has deteriorated from what it used to be, there used to be loudspeaker announcements with the invoice number, and you could pick up the food at the side counter in the restaurant. Now you get a notification thing that just flashes and vibrates but remains silent. So if you place it in the sun you have to pay attention to the vibration as the glow cannot be seen. If you sit in the restaurant, you then have to go through the “queue” in front of the ordering counter to be picked up and then go back through the “queue”. The system used to be better thought out. I was also shocked by the price of the fish cake, as I read in another review, €5.50, but when I asked, it wasn't the homemade giant meatball that used to be there, but it was a whole again " purchased ones”. You can get something like this in a roll everywhere on the island from €3 The staff is very matter-of-fact and seems a bit annoyed that you want to order something. It's a shame, it used to be a good restaurant......☹️👎🏻

Ate delicious cod. Recommended despite self-service. You can also drink that Looft beer. At an acceptable price.

If you like frozen food, this is the place for you. The fried fish tasted cheap and inedible. Potato salad from the bucket. Schnitzel is not fresh either, but also the cheapest frozen food. The fried potatoes were the only thing that was ok. Not recommended unless you're looking for something quick to fill you up. Really inedible. It's a shame, given the location...

A large table was put together for our group and, exceptionally, even served. The food was great and the portions were more than sufficient A nice evening...

We were there and got a dry salmon roll with old lettuce and a ball of salmon. If I could give zero stars I would have. That is not how it works

Lovely afternoon spent in the “Lotsenhaus” bistro. Self-service service in the restaurant, but no reason to complain. Food fresh and ready quickly, at normal prices by the way. Wheat beer from “Maisels”. Gorgeous👍

Ambiance and service are great. Thanks to self-service, the dish: cod in egg coating, or something like that, with fried potatoes is really great... I'm rather stingy, but the performance is great.

Food and drink good, modern presentation, self-service restaurant. Unfortunately, the harbor is currently being restored. The hostesses are very, very quick with notes behind the windshield wipers, even in the off season.........

Restaurant is located directly at the fishing port. Our sailboat was a 2 minute walk away. Everything was ok so far, but the prices were very ambitious! I don't think the price-performance ratio is appropriate.

Very, very friendly welcome in the bistro, our dog is welcome to come in. So far so good. The food? So a matjes roll (for €4.90) can be so boring, a currywurst can be so boring and the fries can do so little. It's a shame, I don't need it again.

Kerstin and Dennis are the souls of the house, the kitchen staff implements the concept perfectly. Fehmarn without a Lotsenhus is possible but one less attraction. We remain regulars 👍

A nice bistro in a fantastic location at the harbor. We spontaneously stopped in for a snack. The menu selection is clear and we ordered from the friendly service staff at the counter. After a short wait we were able to pick up the food at the counter. The fish nuggets were delicious, the fries were crispy and we can also recommend the fish sandwich. The spaghetti portion was huge, but the taste was not convincing.

Das negative als Erstes: bitte plant mehr Personal ein. Es kann ja nicht sein, dass eine Person vorne zusehen kann, dass der ganze Laden läuft … trotzdem großes Lob an den Herren, der uns bedient hat. Er war super super lieb, hat alles koordiniert bekommen obwohl sehr viel los war. Leid tat er uns trotzdem… er würde sich über Hilfe bestimmt freuen. Der Mann verdient ne saftige Gehaltserhöhung!! Ohne ihn würde der Laden nicht laufen - das ist Fakt. (02.10 gegen Nachmittag) Ansonsten war alles top. Das essen war sehr lecker :)

Im Bistro gegessen. Reelle leckere Portionen.Ambiente direkt am Hafen war super. Kleine Stände und das U-Boot und der Seenotrettungskreuzer runden den Besuch ab.

Die Fischbrötchen sind sehr lecker.Wir konnten gemütlich Platz nehmen.Wahlweise drinnen oder draußen .Der Service war freundlich.

Wir haben uns für das BISTRO (nicht Restauran) entschieden, bei dem Selbstbedienung ist. Draußne sitzt man - bei gutem Weter- sehr angenehm und kann die Sonne genießen. Das Essen ist schnell fertig - der Fisch ist frisch, wenn man dies wählt und genügend. Ebenso die dazu zubuchenden Beilagen. Auch die Currywurst ist riesig und ebenso mit guter Qualität. Hinter dem Tresen wird schnell, sauber und freundlich gearbeitet. Die Preise sind aber für ein Selbestbedienungsrestaurant schon hch. Diese hätte ich in einem Service-Restaurant erwartet.

Super Preis Leistung. Essen super. Ein Stern Abzug da das Medium Steak leider fast durch war.

Superschöne Lage in einer tollen Location, gutes Essen

Das Essen war lecker, die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Der Ausblick kurzweilig in die Hafenanlagen Dieses Lokal ist empfehlenswert.

Mein Mann und ich waren heute im Restaurant 'Lotsenhus' in Burgstaaken auf Fehmarn. Wir hatten zwei Plätze reserviert, um 17.30 wurde geöffnet, wir waren pünktlich. Es empfing uns eine gähnende Leere, kein Gast war da und es kam auch keiner, darum unser 'Burgstaaken PANNFISCH kam umso schneller, das war Hexenwerk, so schnell bedient zu werden, haben wir noch nicht erlebt. Die Portion war sehr reichlich, mein.bestelltes stilles Wasser kam mit Kohlensäure, es gab auch kein Fischbesteck. Das Wasser wurde ausgetauscht. Das Essen war total versalzen, ungenießbar, immerhin ein Gedeck für 28,50 Euro. In der Mittagskarte kostet 'Burgstaaken Pannfisch aber 18,50 Euro. Das Lokal werden wir nicht wieder. besuchen, Was wohl ziemlich neu ist, die Speisekarten im Internet habe keine Preise.

Wir waren im Bistro vom Lotsenhaus. Aussenbereich ist ok, innen Kantinencharakter. Selbstbedienung. Essen naja pommes 4,20, Currywurst 5,50. Die Wurst war ok, allerdings die Currysoße schmeckte wie der Ketchup von Hela. Das Hähnchenschnitzel war sehr wässrig. Übrigens mit großem Alster und einer Cola light waren wir 38 € los. Aber ok...macht satt. Der Mitarbeiter hinterm Tresen war schon ganz witzig. Hatte ein paar lockere Sprüche drauf. Alles in allem....kann man mal machen Wie es im Restaurant ist....keine Ahnung.
