Restaurant Lotsenhus in Fehmarn

Even though it was open in the off-season, we ate some very, very delicious cod there. The price was perfectly reasonable for the portion size, and there was a lovely view of the harbor from the window. We'd gladly go again.

Yesterday, I played music at the Lotsenhus for the first time at a double birthday party and felt very comfortable there from the moment I arrived. The welcome was very friendly, and the entire service was very attentive. And the food? It's simply amazing! I'm still a big fan of Fiete's spare ribs. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the view of the harbor is fantastic. The new promenade is also really impressive. It's definitely worth a visit to the Lotsenhus!

A very nice and delicious self-service bistro. The ambiance is very pleasant and tidy. The prices are also very reasonable and fair. We all enjoyed the food very much.

Don't be fooled by the name BISTRO, because it's good and clean here. A little further on, it smells like a public restroom. It's not cheap, the portions are okay, and a little salt on the brook fish would have catapulted the food to a new level. You can't make Pimms any better. But we'll still be back in 5 years.

We were there at 7 p.m. The lady behind the counter immediately mentioned that we were out of fries. Our reaction was that it's not a problem. In the background we could see the chef in the spotlessly clean kitchen. A man then came over and apologized that they only had fish sandwiches left. So we left again at 7:05 p.m. They say that if everything is empty it doesn't taste good. Who knows what it was good for, because all the other restaurants etc. were full. If you're fed up at 7 p.m. then write that you're open until 8 p.m. and the kitchen closes at 7 p.m.

Very good ambiance, direct view of the harbor. Food is standard snack food, too expensive. The Flensburger Dunkel bottle expires on June 23, 2025. Today is October 2, 2025. No refund. No apology, just "I'll have to let the manager know about this, no one has noticed yet."

We had two fishcake rolls and a Coke for just under €15. For that price, you'd expect onions and a decent roll. The staff at the counter were friendly and relaxed.

Great self-service restaurant. Friendly staff. Large selection of food and drinks.

Perfectly fine. We had fried herring with fried potatoes, a Bismarck roll, and fish fingers with fries. Everyone enjoyed it, and the portions were more than sufficient. It was also relatively quick. You can sit outside, sheltered from the wind and, with a bit of luck, in the sun.

The fish sandwich with herring "Nordic style" is delicious. The clear fish soup, on the other hand, was plentiful but only tasted OK. The fish filling (large chunks) was inedible, as it was tough and hard.

A bag of pollock from the discount store and a pre-baked roll. The whole thing was warmed up and sold over the counter for €8.50. I'll never visit that store again... I have no idea where the positive reviews come from, or maybe they have no taste.

A definite recommendation. We were there with two children, and their special requests, which weren't listed on the menu, were easily accommodated. The fried potatoes, whether with currywurst or schnitzel, are highly recommended. You do have to pick up your food at the counter, but it arrives very attractively presented. The prices are also totally reasonable; I'm happy to walk the five meters to the counter for that.

The location looks good for a self-service snack bar, with a sea view from the terrace (currently under construction). The outside could be a bit cleaner, but the food was excellent. Fresh fish cooked to perfection with fried potatoes. Beautifully garnished – delicious.

Self-service restaurant with very, very good food and reasonable prices. Right on the harbor, overlooking the Baltic Sea. The fried potatoes were the best I've ever eaten (and I've had quite a few 😉). The fried fish is also great – lots of fish, not much breading 👍 A visit here is worthwhile 😎

I can't recommend the homemade fish cake under any circumstances. It's a disaster; it doesn't taste like fish and could have been vegetarian. I used to like the Lotsenhus, but I won't be going back!

We stopped there for lunch after a bike ride. We had a currywurst with fries and a schnitzel with fried potatoes. Absolutely delicious and a fair price for Fehmarn. The staff was friendly. It won't be the last time we're there.

After a long time, we finally managed to eat there. And we can say the food is delicious and fresh. The staff is friendly. You order inside. You get a pager and sit down. When the pager vibrates, you can pick up your food inside. It was completely fine for us. Overall, everything was just perfect. Hence the full number of stars.

For a bistro, it was clean and tidy. Food isn't served; it has to be picked up. For a quick snack, I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

We went there spontaneously to eat and were more than disappointed. No service. You ordered your food at the counter and picked it up there. (So it's not a restaurant.) We had herring with fried potatoes. The fish tasted very watery and the fried potatoes were overseasoned. We don't recommend it and won't eat there again.

We went there for lunch the day before yesterday. The food was all delicious, and we didn't have to wait long, although we weren't served at our tables. The prices are really fair for Fehmarn, but the atmosphere has a bit of a cafeteria feel, which is perfect for queuing and picking up food yourself.

Warum das Bistro Lotsenhus hier im Editorial als Chinesisch und ohne Öffnungszeiten registriert ist, bleibt schleierhaft. Fakt ist, dass in der Saison bis auf Dienstags durchgehend geöffnet ist. Nach zwei Jahren Boykott, da der Chef sich recht rüde von seinen besten Mitarbeitern getrennt hat, war es Zeit für eine zweite Chance. Das angetroffene Team zeigte sich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Der Dorsch war auf den Punkt, die Currywurst lecker, die Pommes frisch und goldrichtig. Da es sich um ein SB-Restaurant handelt, geht Convenience in Teilen wie Currysauce und Majo in Ordnung. Preislich an der Obergrenze aber angemessen. Punktlandung. Wir kommen wieder.

Unfortunately I can't recommend the bistro nor the restaurant, it's the same chef. The food initially looks good. The fried fish from Iglo tastes better. The fish in the bistro is very crispy, luckily I have good teeth. The fried potatoes look very good, but you can't eat them after the third forkful. Completely over-spiced, even though I love spicy food. The price for the whole fried potatoes with frozen fish is way too expensive.

We spontaneously had lunch here out of season. Due to some bad reviews, our expectations weren't very high. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good. The cod in egg shell was well done, the fried potatoes were good and so were the fries. Only the fish cake was too seasoned for my taste, but not too bad. Self-service is OK too.

If you know the Lotsenhus from 2-3 years ago, you can only be disappointed. No staff, OK. Unfortunately this is often the case. Cleanliness is no longer a priority here. Frozen goods in the deep fryer. Yum. We won't be coming back again.

It's a bistro ok, but from the looks of it my steaks were made in the deep fryer and the taste is really something else. Curry sausage is ok for the price, but the only sauce you get is curry ketchup from a bottle. The only thing that was really ok were the fries. I could have invested the 40 euros better. But everything else we had was real It's really bad. If you go a few meters further, there's a fish cart that makes everything fresh and is really tasty.

They advertise “fish rolls sooooo delicious” - well, the positive thing was that the roll was warmed up, but honestly we had matjes rolls that should have been called onion rolls. A small herring, a small lettuce leaf and onion pieces in large quantities. We had 5 of them... Plus a fried fish roll consisting of rolls and fried fish without salad and some tartar sauce on the side. At EUR 7.90 it was completely overpriced for what was on offer. Only the Bismarck fish roll was convincing. It's a shame actually...

Terrible fried fish rolls 😱 The restaurant looks attractive, the service was okay BUT the fried fish roll was subpar. It wasn't greasy, bland or tasty either! It's a shame about the almost 8 euros I paid for it...it's good that I had a little runt with me, that calmed my stomach a bit.

Probably the least appealing fried fish roll you can get in SH: no lettuce leaf, no tartar sauce, absolutely nothing except dry fried fish between the roll halves...

Highly recommended, dogs are also welcome.

Before, that is, before Corona, it was really good here. The food, which you could choose from a variety of dishes on the menu, was delicious and the friendly service brought the food to the table. There was also time to talk to the employees. Now in 2024 the whole thing looks like a snack bar with an official atmosphere. You order at the counter. A few dishes are carelessly written on A4 pieces of paper stuck to the counter. After ordering, you get a beeper that, like an authority, starts making noise and vibrating when the food is prepared. By handing over the beeper at the ordering counter, you will then be given your food, which you can then take to the table. With a family of 4 this becomes interesting. While you're eating, you're constantly being told by other guests' beepers how uncomfortable it is there. I don't go there anymore.

For the last 3 years we have always eaten well and cheaply there on holiday. We were always satisfied in both the restaurant and the bistro. Until today... we ate in the bistro, sour meat with fried potatoes and Alster water. The fried potatoes were swimming in fat, the bacon and onions were completely burnt and the sour meat had to be submerged under onions and lots of cress? search first. The aspic was melted and what was left was fatty and tasteless pork. Only the Alster was actually enjoyable. The crowning glory was the price. 47.20 euros. Everything was calculated individually. I could have set the money on fire. Never again.

Fish sandwiches are frozen goods. And €7.90 for that? Outrageous prices and in our opinion not tasty either.

Matjes smelled and was definitely no longer fresh. Cod fried/fried dead and dry. Remulade sour and out of the bucket. Beetroot doesn't make up for the culinary misery and not everyone likes it. Canteen quality of the lower category. 👎🏻

Unfortunately, due to a lack of staff, there was only self-service service, so we didn't eat anything there and can't comment on the quality

First visit, and complete surprise. Food extremely good and rich. Service perfect. Toilets very clean. That was an invitation to the next visit. Back after a year full of anticipation. Absolute disappointment compared to last year. Like a fast food joint, self-service, small portions, menu reduced. The kitchen? Well, if we can pick up our food after 5 minutes, that says enough about them. Not recommended!

nice location, comfortable seating - direct view of the harbor. Baked fish with fries and a drink just under 12 euros per person. Unfortunately, the taste is a no go. The fried fish comes as a pallet in a dry roll with a separate tartar sauce. I would have expected something different right at the harbor.

Went there for dinner today. The staff at the order counter were annoyed and unfriendly, we were almost ashamed to order something. Shortly after us, another couple came who then turned around and left again. Well, if the food had at least been good. Far too expensive and too little, didn't taste like fresh fish.

I have never been so speechless as after visiting this restaurant! For two fish sandwiches 20 euros. Cheap baked roll, not even a lettuce leaf, cucumber or coleslaw. The fried fish is slapped in dry. The children fish fingers with fries. For this 8.50 euros. Taste is different. 50 euros in total and everyone had a drink. Way too expensive. Friendly service also not available. I absolutely cannot recommend!!! I was annoyed for days!!!

Positively surprised. The fish soup was delicious and with plenty of fish. The fried fish rolls were also satisfactory. It's pleasant to sit on the terrace. The tables are cleaned. Parking is free from 6 p.m.

Normalerweise immer einen Besuch wert, der Dorsch ist lokal und frisch aus der Ostsee und super lecker! Kommen seit Jahren hier her, leider ist das Bistro seit einiger Zeit auch den kleineren Portionsgrößen zum Opfer gefallen. Portionen, die immer kleiner wurden und Preise um die 15€ pro Teller. Also leider eher eine Enttäuschung. Bei unseren jüngsten Besuch war die Panade des Dorschfilets auch leider super salzig! Hoffentlich nur einen schlechten Tag erwischt!

Terrace is quite nice. The prices for the food are a disgrace. €15.50 for a plaice fillet without a side dish. For the mushy fried potatoes another €4.50. The plaice was carelessly slapped onto the plate without a lettuce leaf. Then it's better to go 20m further to the fish shop. I think that's a complete rip-off.

No-frills restaurant with decent quality and just acceptable prices. Certainly not the best fish in Burg, but the restaurant is fine. You order at the counter and a pager informs you when the food can be picked up. The dining room and the sanitary facilities were clean.

It is very clean and beautiful, there is a good view and lots of seats, there was a small mishap while eating but I got the money back straight away, the prices are definitely covered by a full large plate, can only be recommended👍

Pretty steep prices for a self-service restaurant. Fish dishes without a side dish 15.50 euros a portion of fries 4.20 a drink included, then you quickly pay 50 euros for 2 people. The taste was okay.

We wanted to eat good fish and drove to the harbor. We paid over 40 euros for 2 adults and two children and the fish was a disaster. Baked fish twice, had no taste at all and the kibbelinge exactly the same. Were very disappointed.
