Very tasty food in a nice atmosphere and good service. The lighthouse is definitely worth a visit.

We had a really great evening. The food was good and the service was always attentive. We will definitely come back. Very clear recommendation.

I had a 4-course menu and every course was a poem :-) The service was very friendly and accommodating. I can recommend the lighthouse 100%!

Due to public transport travel times, we got there a quarter of an hour before the restaurant opened and huddled around under an umbrella in front of the glass door in the rain and cold wind, clearly visible to the reception staff behind it. Although seating is provided, we were not invited in to wait in the warmth. This is not what hospitality looks like. There is no canopy or shelter in front of the entrance or anywhere else on the house. We were served by three different people, one of whom was not characterized by appropriate friendliness... it was the same person who had left us out in the rain. The food and wine were delicious; Unfortunately, I didn't get full from my dish (I'm not overweight).

We stopped in there today after a walk with our little dog (dog welcome, a bowl of water was immediately provided), the staff was unobtrusive, super nice and accommodating, the food was well suited to the price, the atmosphere was very pleasant and discreet, so we We left this location very satisfied and will definitely come back.

There were two of us in the Leuchtturm restaurant. It was our first time there and we were blown away by the delicious food. However, since we “only” had two starters each, we will be coming back full of anticipation to try the main courses. Keep it up! 👍🏼

It's a nice atmosphere. We were lucky to have a waiter who was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. Since we were a large group eating goose, we really enjoyed the attention. The geese were super tasty and nice and crispy. The side dishes are very tasty. I'd love to come back 👍🙏😊

I am very positively surprised. For years I viewed the place as expensive and the food and service didn't match the price, so I avoided it for a long time. Something has obviously happened. I was amazed at the taste of the dishes I ordered. The service was also great this time. Keep it up. Then I'd love to come back.

An excellent restaurant! Very good cuisine with excellent service. The fish preparations were excellent with matching wine recommendations. “White tomato soup” is a dream!!! We had a wonderful evening in this restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for a lovely evening for two. The food was excellently prepared and the menu offered a great selection - from fresh ingredients to perfectly balanced flavors. A small downside, however, was that we unfortunately couldn't try the olive oil on offer, which you can also buy there. A small tasting before the meal would have been a great opportunity to experience the quality and taste directly. It's a shame that we were denied this experience. Still, the service was attentive and friendly, the dishes were of the highest quality, and we will definitely be back. Maybe the olive oil tasting will work next time!

The food seemed completely overpriced and tasteless to us. The cucumber salad and sweet potato fries were the tastiest things about these bloated dishes. Too bad.

Sugar as a flavor enhancer - not my taste! I appreciate Frank Wiechern, with whom I enjoyed eating in Hittfeld before. But his current cooking style no longer suits my taste. Some time ago I had the duck-based Labskaus. I missed the subtle, bitter nuances, but it was prepared with a lot of sweetness. Now we had eaten the menu with him: from the soup, to the risotto and also the fish: far too much sweetness! When asked, it was said that they had catered to the tastes of the general public... well? Many people find the sweet taste of food pleasant, which is why almost all fast food dishes or ready meals contain a lot of sugar as a flavor enhancer. In addition, sugar stimulates the same regions in the brain as alcohol and nicotine. Overly sweet food beautifully presented to make customers addicted and dependent? If you like it or like it... unfortunately the lighthouse is no longer my first choice.

Wir wollten gerne einen Kaffee trinken und ggf. Etwas essen . Wurden unfreundlich daran erinnert, dass doch draußen dranstehe dass es heute nur warme Küche gebe. Auf die Bitte einmal die Toilette nutzen zu dürfen, wurde uns der Weg zur nächsten öffentlichen Toilette erklärt. Schade, dass dieses Restaurant für mich jetzt nicht mehr in Frage kommt!!‘n

We discovered this great restaurant by chance and ended up there on both days we spent in Hamburg. The food is so incredibly tasty, attractively decorated, served and selected that it is simply an incredible pleasure to eat there. On the first day we ate à la carte (white tomato soup, sesame char and black halibut), on the second day we had the autumn menu with its 4 courses full of taste delights and combinations. The espresso was served like I've never had it before - just great! We'll be back just for this restaurant 🎀 Thank you very much and see you soon at the lighthouse

Review on behalf of an older couple! My 70th birthday celebration on August 31, 2024 from 12:30 p.m.: Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to take this opportunity to thank you. We all enjoyed the food wonderfully. Your Mr. Kühn gave me excellent advice. The white tomato soup was extremely tasty, the salmon trout was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the roast beef couldn't be better, the vegetables with the crispy bacon were simply perfect: cooked but still with a slight bite (that's not so easy, especially with beans), the fried potatoes exactly how you want them. Everyone also really liked the fact that fish and meat were served from a wooden board on the serving trolley. The dessert glasses on the cake stand were not only an eye-catcher, but also very tasty and a nice idea. The cake also later met with full approval. We really enjoyed the reception cocktail, the wine offered and all the other drinks (especially the cappuccino). The location of your house is hard to beat. Many of our friends were in Harburg for the first time and were completely surprised by this idyll. The opportunity to take a short digestive walk around the lake was very welcome. The special1 ambience of your house really impressed everyone. Your friendly, competent, attentive employee Angelika particularly contributed to a wonderful time in your house. Always super nice there, we got married there too and everything was perfect

We have rarely eaten so well. The staff is competent, courteous and friendly. It has an open kitchen so you can watch everything. The room concept is such that there are no unpleasant smells. The food is excellent and the fish is fresh, an upscale atmosphere. We would love to come back.

We went here for dinner and also celebrated our wedding there - it was amazing from start to finish! Throughout the entire planning phase, we always received very quick feedback and consistent support. The celebration was great, food, drinks, service, everything was perfect.

After a nice evening walk around the Aussenmühle, my girlfriend and I wanted to end the evening (around 8:30 p.m.) with some nice drinks there. Since we answered the question at reception truthfully that we "just" wanted something to drink (we were thinking of a bottle of wine), we were told that today there would only be "warm food". This is also a concept. However, you should declare this before the entrance or on the homepage. Pity..

Was there for the first time today. There was a sign in front of the entrance that said “Hot food only today”. We walk in and I say to the lady at the entrance: “Hello, can we have an espresso on your terrace”. In the most unfriendly manner she replies “didn’t you read the sign? Only warm food today!” A) Then please write on the sign “only for eating” e.g. B) Only warm food suggests that there are no cold dishes C) This is not a way to approach customers. Today was my first and also my last time. It's a shame, because the restaurant actually seems to be quite good!

"Leuchtturm", der Name passt, denn dieses Restaurant sollte weithin sichtbar sein und vielen Besuchern den Weg weisen zu einem Gastronomie Highlight, wie wir es in Hamburg bisher selten fanden. Man sitzt in wunderschöner Umgebung am Außenmühlenteich. Von vielen Tischen hat man diesen entspannten Blick auf's Wasser, während man sich beim vorfreudigen Lesen der innovativen Speisekarte auf ein sehr gelungenes Essen freuen kann. Dieses ist alles andere als der übliche Standard ! Köstliche Vorspeisen, viele Fischgerichte, aber auch ausgewählte Fleisch- oder vegetarische Kreationen, die neugierig machten. Wir waren zu viert da, alle das erste, aber mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal !!! Je nach Experimentierlust gab es mit knusprigem Sesam paniertes Fischfilet mit Bananen Lauch Chilli Gemüse ( köstlich!), Sashimi und Frühlingsrolle, Labskaus, mal anders, nämlich von der Ente, mit allen Beilagen, die man sich nur wünschen kann, aber auch eine wunderbar zarte Scholle mit Speck und Shrimps oder ein vielfältiger Salat mit knusprigen Fischstücken. Ach, ich könnte hier noch weiter schwärmen.., schaut Euch die Speisekarte selbst an. Ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht sein. Was ich nicht mag, wenn ich essen gehe: Dass ich überall das Gleiche bekomme ( leider bei vielen Italienern der Fall ). Noch schlimmer: Die Speisen sind angeblich so auserwählt edel, dass nur ein Hauch von dem, was auf der Karte steht, seinen Platz auf riesigen Tellern findet. Dafür ist das Ganze dann künstlerisch wertvoll " geschmückt"..., was seinen extremen Preis angeblich rechtfertigt... Und nun kommt's: Im "Leuchtturm" bekommt Ihr zu angemessenen, aber nicht überhöhten Preisen wunderschön dekorierte Speisen. Alles, was wir gegessen haben, incl. einer zarten Mousse au Chocolat mit Beerensorbet ,war eine Augenweide, wir entdeckten feine Geschmacksnuancen, und handwerklich stimmte auch alles. Zudem noch sehr angenehm: Netter, aufmerksamer Service, aber keine Steifheit. Am liebsten würden wir gleich heute unseren Besuch im Leuchtturm wiederholen. Es gibt noch sehr viel zu entdecken, worauf wir uns jetzt schon freuen.

Beautiful location, located directly on a lake. We were invited to a party, it was pretty good, but nothing special. I can't judge a la carte. Service was a bit slow in refilling drinks, but otherwise very friendly.

Went to the lighthouse for the third time and gave the place another chance. But that was the last one. The food was mediocre. The bread ordered as a starter consisted of 3 slices of baguette from the discount store. The sea bream was not fried until crispy and was swimming in oil. The chanterelles, potatoes and onions served separately were also literally bathed in oil, and the fried potatoes were also not fresh. The cranberry chutney was simply regular cranberries, the vegetables were all onions. The service was normally polite. The quality of the food did not match the prices charged there in any way. The lighthouse will not see us again. It's a shame, because the location is very nice and the food there was also good.

On Saturday we had the summer menu and were again very satisfied. The portions are well sized and everything tasted very tasty. The only drawback, in our opinion, is that in this price range the bread is only available against payment and unfortunately it is not of such good quality. In my opinion it shouldn't be like that in this price range. As always, the service was excellent, friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back.

It's hard to describe, I didn't feel very comfortable. The service was friendly but reserved. The food is very expensive for what little was on it. We were there once a year ago, but it was much better than now. You just have to try it out, some people think it's nice, some people don't.

Bereits während meines ersten Besuchs - eines "vorab Checks" - im Herbst 2018 wirkte die gesamte Atmosphäre im Restaurant überaus einladend. Seitdem veranstalte ich regelmäßig und gern im Rahmen meiner Tätigkeit Events im Restaurant Leuchtturm Hamburg Harburg. Warum?: Die Präsentation und Auswahl insbesondere der frischen Fische ist stets appetitlich und erstklassig, ebenso die an Weinen, Sekt und Champagner. Die Säle mit angrenzender Seeterrasse sind großzügig und lichtdurchflutet. Das Mobiliar wirkt zeitlos. Für mich hat das Ambiente ein wenig vom amerikanischen Südstaatenflair. Das Bankettteam ist kompetent, überzeugt durch Leistungsbereitschaft und Service. Das Gastroteam, auf das ich vor Ort zählen darf, ist überaus sympathisch, super engagiert und stets im Sinne meiner Gäste und Partner tätig. Auch im nächsten Juni werde ich daher gern den Hamburger Abend meiner MittSommerTour wieder in den Sälen des Leuchtturms am idyllischen Seeufer gestalten und freue mich bereits heute darauf!

Wir haben bei bestem Wetter draußen gesessen und ein hervorragendes Menü genossen. Vorspeise und Parmesansüppchen waren köstlich. Der Hauptgang mit Fisch war sehr gut. Wasserpreise waren sehr hoch gegriffen, Weinpreise annehmbar. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Delicious. One of the best restaurants in Hamburg

We went here for dinner today as a small family. For us as low earners, this is really something very special. Normally we mostly go for the cheap lunch menu. But we really wanted to try this “summer menu”. Our little daughter, who was just 4½ years old at the time of our visit, was also very happy to spend a lovely and happy evening with us in this pleasant atmosphere. She particularly liked the ice cream as a dessert, which was specially adapted from the menu for her (thank you again for that), but the fish in the large aquarium also made her beautiful eyes shine even more. Our service was funny, friendly and correct, adapted to the situation for us as a family and was really attentive to the right degree. So we felt comfortable too. From our point of view, the menu was a complete success, it was a delicious four courses, nothing out of our everyday life and very tasty. My dear wife treated herself to a nice glass of white wine for this special occasion, but for cost reasons I stuck with Alster water, which was also delicious. In the end, all three of us went home full and happy, even if we were €150 poorer after about three hours. For us it's the highlight of the year, for others it's probably everyday life. What is better? Maybe you should keep certain things that are still extraordinary and don't become normal... In any case, we would be happy to come back when the opportunity arises, probably next year. Thank you very much for the incomparable evening, dear team from the Leuchtturm restaurant!

Great location, we celebrated our wedding in the Leuchtturm restaurant, it was super uncomplicated planning, thanks to chayenne and nadja, it was great. The staff was in a great mood and friendly. I was in the lighthouse for the first time with my wife on July 8th, 2024. We had registered for a 4 course menu. Very attentive and friendly staff. The menu was simply outstanding from the first course to the last. Very nice atmosphere with a terrace and a view of the small lake. Overall, the lighthouse is highly recommended.

Very good food, great service and child-friendly. Very nice, picturesque location with lots of free parking. The price is also more than reasonable for the quality. We'd love to come back! This is certainly not an isolated opinion, as the restaurant was very full even in the middle of the week.

I've been there several times for the 4-course menu and every time it's a pleasure

The food tasted good, but at the same time it didn't have the sophistication that would otherwise be expected given the price range. The location and especially the view over the lake are phenomenal.

Even 1 star is too much for so much arrogance and nonsensical talk. Today, in the nicest weather, the four of us just wanted to sit on the terrace of this would-be upscale restaurant and have two or three drinks. At the reception the employee pointed out to us that it was only possible if we also eat something. After a short period of reflection on our part, we decided that some of us would eat something because of the compulsion to eat. We told the lady at reception this. She then told us that this wasn't the point of the whole thing, that only some of us consumed something and everyone else only consumed drinks. I don't understand how people can turn away potential paying guests so boldly and arrogantly these days. The store doesn't seem to need the money. Maybe we would have ordered the most expensive wine or eaten something. The great location and the supposedly oh-so-great ambience in the interior, which we couldn't see, don't help at all. We will pass on our experiences to our acquaintances and circle of friends, which is not exactly small.

There were four of us there who wanted to have a drink. We were told very unkindly that there was a compulsory consumption... We then said that only some of us would eat. The lady behind the counter replied: “That’s not the point of it.” Very impolite. Not recommendable!!!

Tasty, not cheap but the food is a straight A!!

First of all, best regards from Bottrop (NRW) to the entire team at the Leuchtturm restaurant! We were at my brother-in-law's (Patrick & Daniel!) wedding on (Saturday) July 6th, 2024 and were completely thrilled. The entire location, the food and the rooms were absolutely great. Added to this is the excellent service and kitchen staff, who did everything they could to sweeten the evening for the two men! In addition, the kitchen crew knows their craft and hopefully never lets up in quality!!! By the way; - a special personal compliment to the bartender, who patiently provided us with Sambuca in the "background" and met a "little slobber" with a friendly smile. Thanks for that! My wife and I will try everything to get a table in this wonderful restaurant the next time we visit Hamburg. We can fully recommend this wonderful house and hope that the operators and the team will continue to put a smile on the guest's face with the same passion. We celebrated our wedding in the lighthouse and can only recommend it to every future bride and groom. We and our guests were more than thrilled! The entire planning in advance, the evening and the food were more than perfect! We are super happy and satisfied. Once again a big compliment to the entire team!!!

We have been guests of this house several times a year and have been very satisfied so far. On Sunday June 30, 2024, for certain reasons, a master bill was necessary for 7 people and each guest had to pay for their own consumption (manageable for 7 people and easily possible in other restaurants). This was refused - customer-friendly service looks different. We won't be visiting this restaurant again.

We wanted to sit on the terrace with 5 people at an event at the outdoor mill and have a drink. Unfortunately, there seems to be a compulsion to eat there on the weekends. We had to leave again, even though there was almost nothing going on in the restaurant. It's a shame, maybe we would have eaten something after all.

Great location right next to the outer mill. Seating is available indoors and outdoors. Overall the food was very tasty. I had a menu with different courses: soup, pike perch fillet and strawberry sorbet. Special requests (gluten-free dishes) were taken into account. The only thing I didn't like so much is that the restaurant is sometimes "fancy". Some of the staff seemed a bit distant. Nevertheless, I would definitely come back and can recommend the restaurant.

So you feel like you've been transported to the Third Reich, although the Nazis were a little friendlier. It's a shame that owners like this run the restaurant.

EXTREMELY unfriendly staff. Not recommended. I don't know what the food tastes like. Arrogant chic Micki restaurant, in my opinion. No matter how good the food is, if you're so rude to (potentially paying) guests, I don't think it's worth a visit.

We always enjoy eating out with the family at the lighthouse when we are south of the Elbe. The food is always very tasty, the service is friendly and accommodating. Price/performance ratio really fits Update: We were there on May 26th. again in the Essen lighthouse. Unfortunately, the waiting time for the main course was unbearably long at an hour, even though the restaurant was not fully booked. The food itself was good, but this time it was borderline heavily salted. Therefore, deductions for service and food. The staff was again very nice and accommodating.

Die Terrasse und das Restaurant waren halbleer, dennoch wurde ich und auch eine andere Gruppe direkt an der Tür abgelehnt, da wir „nur“ etwas trinken wollten und dafür hätten sie keine Kapazitäten frei. Traurig und lächerlich!

We liked the ambience and view of the outdoor mill pond in the outdoor area. BUT Unfortunately we had to wait ages (approx. 1 hour) for our food - definitely too long for standard items such as salad, schnitzel and children's pasta. The staff seemed rather relaxed and stressed, despite the empty terrace. The price for a few children's pasta with sauce is almost outrageously expensive at 15.90 euros.

You can dine very well in a good atmosphere in the lighthouse at the Harburg Outer Mill.

Extremely unfriendly lady at reception. First we were checked out and I asked if we could have a drink alone. The answer was: a) we don't have any space anyway b) there are only warm dishes My question was whether it was possible to go out on the terrace and the answer was that everything was fully booked, even during the week. A couple came in after us and, strangely enough, a place was found for them straight away. We would have stayed there to eat, but we were told from the start that there was no room for us. Even if this statement were true, it can be communicated in a more friendly way. I have visited the restaurant several times in the past, but I have never received such an unfriendly welcome. For me it was a visit to the lighthouse in Harburg and I will pass this on to my friends and acquaintances.

We were here in a large group for our birthday. First the positive: The service was very courteous, the food arrived in good time, the restaurant is very well located with its own parking space. The preparation of the food is visually appealing. What we liked less: Some of the food didn't taste good and was heavy, and some of it was a bit too salty. It's experimental but that doesn't make it any more successful. From my point of view, the composition doesn't fit in some ways: a tomato-heavy sauce doesn't go well with asparagus because it overpowers the asparagus taste, sending Parma with halibut isn't a flavor explosion either, and peppers in spinach aren't exquisite either. Given the prices, I would have expected better, sometimes fresher quality, but I didn't pay. The sweet potatoes came out of the deep fryer and were correspondingly fatty, the shrimp were too hard for me and didn't seem super fresh. When I get the halibut fresh from the fishmonger, it has a more delicate taste. Apparently the quality was frozen. If you have any allergies, you should definitely tell the waitress as the food will be decorated. A friend has an undisclosed berry intolerance (hence his fault) and was given the nut ice cream with blueberries. I was allowed to collect these.

Very nice restaurant with a nice selection of food. Even if you are a vegetarian you will find something on the menu. The service was very attentive and friendly and the food came very quickly.

Directly at the reception there was an unfriendly lady who said we had to order warm food. You can't just drink! And that with a tone... Very unfriendly. Something like that doesn't work at all. Way too long waiting time

Nice restaurant, but in 2024 when you ask for a coffee to take away, the waitress mockingly replies "you could have your coffee at home here, this is a German restaurant" with a narcissistic laugh. A disgrace! It's time to change.

Food poisoning included! The ambience is nice, the schnitzel was also delicious. The food poisoning from the shrimp wasn't so great. The 4 out of 12 people who had shrimp still had chills that same evening and some vomited twice 👍. Of course, contact was made with the restaurant afterwards, but guilt was just as poor as the modest price-performance ratio. Must have been a really stupid coincidence 🤮. I can therefore only recommend a stay for people with above-average immune systems.

Very upscale ambience, prices and cuisine. Chosen 4 course menu and very satisfied. You can do this for exceptional occasions.
