Best restaurant for French food in Munich. Yanis the server was very attentive and found always the perfect wine for the food. Anyway great food great service wonderful wine selection. We will come again.

We ordered from an online store. The shop is a disaster. The order didn't arrive on the specified date. We didn't receive a shipping confirmation. Days later, a package arrived via DHL. The package was complete chaos, and several products were missing. There was no delivery note. We immediately complained by email, as they never reach anyone by phone. We didn't receive a response to the email, nor to WhatsApp. So we went there. They assured us that the goods would be reshipped. Eight weeks and countless calls later, we still haven't received our items. Definitely not recommended!

We were back at Le Faubourg today, unfortunately after far too many months off. I had goat cheese, quail, and crème caramel, and my husband had the same but with skate. The cheese salad was fantastic, but others were perhaps better than what was on the menu 10 years ago, with an intense and interesting flavor combination. My quail was very tender and delicious. My husband loved the skate with capers. Crème caramel was good, but the crème brûlée they serve in the evening is much, much better...but that's only on the menu at lunchtime. So everything was really, really good, and cheaper at lunch...cheaper for top French quality! We'd happily go back whenever we want a special meal.

Nachdem ich vor einer Woche am Abend in dieses Restaurant eingeladen und sehr zufrieden war, wollte ich es auch mal zum Mittagessen ausprobieren. Menüpreis € 35,-. Die Vorspeise bestand aus einer dunklen Brotscheibe mit einem Ziegenkäse überbacken und 3 Salatblättern. Die Brotkruste war selbst mit dem Fleischmesser nicht zu durchschneiden. Mein Mann hatte Wolfsbarsch als Hauptgericht, der wohl sehr gut war. Ich hatte Lammeintopf mit derselben Beilage wie mein Mann, nämlich Rösti, das am Rand verbrannt, aber leider nicht knusprig war. Das Dessert bestand aus 2 EL gemischten Früchten und einer Kugel Sorbet, angeblich Passionsfrucht, war aber so geschmacksneutral, dass es auch Aprikose oder Mango hätte sein können. Je ein Glas Weiß- bzw. Rotwein, 0,1l für € 8,50 (!). Doppelter Espresso € 5,-. Der Gipfel war allerdings das stille Mineralwasser, das bereits überall am Tisch wartet und daher warm ist (kaltes oder mit Kohlensäure muss man extra verlangen), für € 9,- !!!!!! Was zumindest den Mittagstisch betrifft, kann ich nur jedem von diesem Restaurant dringend abraten.

I was particularly impressed by the quality of the oysters: fresh, perfectly tempered, and with just the right hint of sea breeze. Anyone who loves seafood will definitely get their money's worth here. The selection of French wines is also excellent – ​​you can tell that someone has chosen this with expertise and passion. The sommelier (or host?) certainly had a very keen sense for pairings and recommendations. The service was attentive, friendly, and pleasantly unobtrusive – just right. Even small details like fresh baguette and salted butter to start or the harmonious, seasonal menu complete the evening. Prices at Le Faubourg are on the higher end, but absolutely justified given the quality. Conclusion: For special occasions, an elegant dinner for two, or simply an evening with French flair, Le Faubourg is a top address in Munich. I'll definitely be back!

The most perfect spot to eat some French authentic plates. The service was so friendly and we were so welcomed. A perfect selection of wine and the perfect spot in Munich to have a time out with your loved one’s and feel like you’re in France for a moment. All in all very good experience!!! We were in MUC over the weekend and were here for the second time. Although there are more than enough French restaurants in Düsseldorf, this little restaurant is a real insider tip! The fresh oysters from Normandy were incredibly tasty and so was the rest of the menu. You can also get great non-alcoholic alternatives there, from aperitifs to digestifs. We'd love to come back!

I rarely write Google reviews, but the cuisine at Le Faubourg motivated me to do so. Unusual creations like the fish with chocolate sauce at an exceptional level paired with excellent service - I'm thrilled!

Our regular French restaurant in Munich. The best in town in our opinion and also for all the friends we have invited, some of them half French/Germans. We also go often for lunch, when you get the same quality menu of the evening, but at much cheaper price. Super wine, super oysters, and generally quality ingredients and lots of work. We simply love it!

If you’re looking to drop €90 per person for an overcomplicated meal from a homecook, this is your spot. The meal started with an amuse-bouche that was basically frozen paprika paste and it only got weirder from there. Every dish felt like someone playing around with too many ingredients yet somehow ending up tasteless. On the plus side, the service was good—our waiter was friendly and polite, the atmosphere was pleasant and the bread was nice. When bread is the highlight of a €90 per person meal, you know something’s gone wrong. Save your money, unless you’re into paying top dollar for a home-cooked experiment gone awry.

A top restaurant in Haidhausen in a very pleasant and cozy family atmosphere. A classic "Frenchman". Dominique, the owner, personally presents his special selection of dishes every day with great passion and always finds the right wine. Huge wine selection! Food is prepared with a lot of love and sophistication. Tastes fantastic! Can recommend everything. So it was a great experience to dine there, especially since Dominique's humorous manner really brightens up the evening. Voila! Definitely coming back! Merci for this bonne soirée!!!

Die Vorspeise war am leckersten. Vor allem der Octopus. Die Tarte leider zu lange im Backofen aber sonst alles andere lecker. Der Hummer zu salzig - dabei essen wir generell schon salzig. “Le Faubourg” is a gem among Munich restaurants. The menus change from time to time. They are always imaginative and offer real variety while maintaining consistently high to highest quality. The wine pairing was always harmonious and the service was personal, friendly and on the ball. We have now put ourselves in the hands of the French-led team several times and each time we have been taken a little away from everyday life and gone on a little trip for an evening. If you want to relive a restaurant evening in Munich like in France: this is the place. Good bye.

Helt igennem lækker fransk smagsoplevelse og store portioner. Jeg valgte menu med 4 portioner. Gode vine dertil. Alt var perfekt undtagen creme brulé den var jævn kedelig. Det til trods giver jeg fem stjerne for mine kolleger fik fremragende desserter. Vil også fremhæve forret med ravioli og øl is på toppen. Helt fantastisk.

Es schmecķt und ist auch besonders, aber das Preis- Ĺeistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Viel zu überteuert ! Ein Hauptgericht kostet 39.95 Euro, viel zu viel.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut. Service war gemischt, der Chef selbst liefert perfekten Service inklusive Erläuterungen - was man in der gehobenen Preisklasse erwarten kann. Der Service der Mitarbeiter war wortlos und eher schlecht.

Wir waren nun schon mehrmals zum Dinner in diesem feinen, kleinen Restaurant und wurden jedesmal mit den feinsten Kreationen überrascht, die einen Geschmacksvulkan auf der Zunge ausgelöst haben. Der Service ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend und sogar der Chef de cuisine sorgt trotz Stress in der Küche höchstpersönlich für das Wohlergehen seiner Gäste.

Wir waren von diesem Restaurant eher enttäuscht. Zwei der Gerichte waren geschmacklich so überlastet, dass wir erwarteten, es kommt gleich die Crew von "Verstehen Sie Spaß" aus der Küche. Schade eigentlich, denn dass das Restaurant Potential hat und hier auch kein Stümper in der Küche steht, war schon klar erkennbar. Mein Tipp: nehmen Sie ein Gericht, das nicht zu kompliziert daherkommt. Fisch, Obst, Nudeln, Sahne und und und gleichzeitig in einem Gericht war nicht meine Sache. Positiv zu erwähnen sei noch die mehr als umfangreiche Weinkarte sowie die Nachspeisen und der offene Weißwein. Beides war ein Gedicht.

Leider nicht mehr empfehlenswert. Ein Restaurant das von seinem alten Ruf lebt, aber einer Rechnung von 230€ zu zweit überhaupt nicht mehr gerecht wird! Da ist der Standard in München m.M. nach zu hoch in dem Segment, als das man sich das dargebotene Essen und den mittelmäßigen Service ohne Kritik noch erlauben kann zu einem Preis von 100 €+ p.P. Schade!

Sehr empfehlenswert. Tolle Zusammenstellung eines 3 oder 4 Gänge Menüs mit allerlei umsetzbaren Sonderwünschen. Dazu eine sehr gelungene Weinbegleitung. Abgerundet wird der Abend durch einen sehr angenehmen Service und einem absolut angemessenen Preis / Leitungsverhältnis.

Jedem, der kulinarisch einen besonderen Abend erleben möchte, empfehle ich einen Besuch im Le Faubourg!

Das Essen ist sehr gut. Leider kann man Mittagessen keine einzelnen Speisen bestellen, nur Abends ist möglich. Mittag wird nur Menüs angeboten.

Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt leider nicht und in dem Restaurant war es sehr kalt. Ansonsten wäre es ein nettes gemütliches Lokal.

A an absolute must in Munich. Firstly the owner/chef. He obviously took a wrong turn in France and ended up in Munich somehow. French grumpiness mixed with immense charm and incredible pride in what he does. The restaurant again exudes that quite incomprehensible charm made up of colours and decoration we would not dare. The lunch menu is communicated short and sharp. One starter, then fish or meat followed by pudding, 27 Euro. Wow. Simple yet full of twists, delicious. At lunch wine list is..." light or full bodied" and hits the mark. In the evening it turns into a full blown and more pricey experience. I will defnitly go. Bravo, first class.
