We arrived to the Sofitel Bayerpost after an exhaustive travel day and were greeted by the friendly and accomodating staff at the hotel. Check in was smooth and efficient and once we arrived at our room we were amazed but the size and amenity. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our special occasion making it a most memorable stay. Thank you team.

We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel over the weekend, and it was fantastic. The service at the reception is highly trained, especially Mr. V. Mitrovic. He was extremely helpful and recommended excellent restaurants and attractions. We've stayed at many hotels, but his honest and competent manner is exceptional, and we immediately felt "at home." Keep it up!!! The cocktails and the room are 10 out of 10. We'll be back!!!

My stay at this hotel was far from what I expected. The first room we were given was extremely worn down, with scratches all over and a generally outdated feel and was not cleaned well. After complaining, we were moved to a different room the next day, which helped slightly but didn’t make up for the overall experience. The staff did not make us feel welcomed , and the attitude throughout the stay was cold and uninviting. On top of that, every time we returned to the hotel, the valet argued with us about parking, claiming the lot was full and suggesting we park at another hotel. Why should I have to park somewhere else when I’m staying with you? Overall, I left feeling frustrated and undervalued as a guest. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience

Our experience was disappointing due to unresolved billing issues. We arrived early in the morning because of our flight schedule and found that our reservation had been cancelled. Thankfully, the front desk helped us reinstate it, and we paid the full amount again upon arrival, which is confirmed by our receipt. Despite this, we were still charged a cancellation fee through Booking.com. Additionally, we have not yet received the remaining balance of our deposit after the parking fee deduction. We contacted the property via email to resolve this matter but are still waiting for a response. We hope the management takes action to resolve this fairly. For information and reference, our reservation was from July 22nd to July 24th, 2025. Update on August 15th, 2025: We have not been refunded for the extra charge as official credit card transaction, although being informed by the property it is processed by Booking.com. We are waiting on further clarification on refund mechanism and receipt, as we had attempted to continue communications with the property through Booking.com, but no further reply has been received so far (which indicates no intention to reach fair closure). The only documented transactions that we can reference are the payment we made to restore our preservation and the extra charge as cancellation fee processed through Booking.com.

We've stayed there many times, but this was the last time. It's actually a beautiful, luxurious hotel, centrally located... But...there's no parking space upon arrival because hotel guests can't park in their parking garage. Unfortunately, you can't reserve a parking space, and there's no one to park your car for you. Only a "manager" who says his hands are tied. So you're stuck there, stuck in a daze, having to park your car somewhere in the train station district on a Saturday evening and walk back. Even a cocktail voucher is no use... The room is actually nice...but the fan is broken, the phone in the room is dead, and calling reception to order something means going through 5 menus (press 1...) and then no one answers. Too bad...

We felt very spoiled by the staff at the Sofitel. The staff and the facilities made this stay fantastic. We loved the breakfast. Jeffery made us feel so welcome every day with our 11 month old baby who was cute and well behaved but made a mess every morning. They had kid food, snacks and plates as well. The room was beautiful. They also provided baby soaps with the baby bed. The front desk staff was so helpful and accomodating. We enjoyed a dinner at the bar and had a great time as well. Thank you for a great stay. The gym was tight and just ok. Otherwise, it was fantastic.

Feedback on our stay at the end of December 2024 1. **Welcome and Service:** - Upon arrival, other guests were served before us, which we found unusual. - There was no room tour, as is usually the case. - No welcome drinks or a surprise for our son, which is often standard in other hotels of this category. 2. **Junior Suite:** - **Amenities:** There was no soap in the bathroom and no slippers. - **Shower:** The shower was clogged, and after 2-3 minutes, the water started running again. Despite contacting reception several times (by phone, with waiting times, and no response), we reported the problem to the Duty Manager in person. We were assured that someone would take care of it. A technician arrived late in the evening but was unable to do anything, and the next day's technician was scheduled for the following morning. - **Telephone:** The telephone line in the suite was not working. There was a tangled cable (photo was shown to the duty manager), and although the telephone upstairs worked, the problem wasn't resolved by the end of our stay. 3. **Room Cleaning and Service:** - The next day, only the bed was made, but no new cups, Nespresso capsules, or water were provided. After 10:00 PM, we had to complain to reception again to receive these items. - The clogged shower continued to be a problem the next day – it filled with water again after 2-3 minutes. This problem, too, was not permanently resolved. - Turndown service was again not performed, which we also reported by phone. We were told that it was probably "forgotten." (On the first evening, the gentleman personally organized turndown service after he had dealt with the clogged shower, and this only happened after 10:00 PM.) **Conclusion:** The stay did not meet our expectations for a hotel of this category. There were repeated problems with the room and service, which were not resolved to our satisfaction despite repeated complaints. We hope that these issues will be better addressed in the future.

The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost offers comfortable beds and well-designed, functional rooms. However, many rooms are visibly worn down — a renovation or at least a proper facelift is clearly overdue. The breakfast experience was disappointing. While the selection is decent, the service is far from acceptable: on a Monday morning, the queue at the omelette station stretched for over 1.5 hours. Moreover, the kitchen only prepares dishes listed on the menu — and an omelette is not among them. No flexibility, even for standard items. The spa is a real highlight: beautifully designed and very relaxing. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is ruined by one staff member who starts pressuring guests right after 8 PM to leave the sauna area. She does so in a rude and unprofessional manner — walking through the spa 10 minutes before closing and shouting at guests to start showering. Completely inappropriate for a hotel of this class. The in-house restaurant serves good food, but prices are extremely high. The quality does not fully justify the cost — dishes were nicely presented but lacked refinement. Overall: a mixed experience. The hotel has strong points (spa, beds, location), but service inconsistency, aging rooms, and the breakfast chaos significantly reduce the overall value

Note: We tried to contact them several times regarding a refund, as they were the ones who canceled the reservation, not us. However, they never responded. Beautiful hotel in a great location, just a short walk into the city center. There's a parking garage underneath the hotel where you can also conveniently charge your electric car. Overall, Sofitel Bayerpost is a great hotel in Munich. The location is hard to beat, the service is excellent, and the rooms are roomy (heh) and comfortable. My biggest complaint is the gym, particularly the area with weights. You can only comfortably fit 2 people in there (and there’s only one bench), and the time I went, 2 people stayed for over an hour before I left, and I wasn’t able to use any of the weights. Hopefully they can fix this!

We're always happy to stay at the Sofitel in Munich. We were particularly impressed by the top-notch service. The location is also quite good; the hotel can't be blamed for the numerous construction sites around it, but it's worth being aware of if you're arriving by car. The rooms sometimes lack that final touch of attention, as I expect from a 5-star hotel. Specifically, the sound box and the top shelf need dusting. It will be done after I mention it to the reception. But that's the only criticism I have here. So, housekeeping, put on white gloves and check a bit more. On the other hand, the breakfast is absolutely fantastic and leaves nothing to be desired. The same goes for the excellent valet parking and the staff overall.

We loved the breakfast staff and the breakfast! What a beautiful way to start off the day. The evening manager helped us get tickets to the opera. He was a gem. Had a fabulous message in the spa. Loved the live orchids. They were stunning. I would have taken a class on how to get my orchids to grow like that. Dear Hotel Manager, I hope this message finds you well. I would like to provide feedback regarding my recent stay at Sofitel Munich. Please be informed that my reservation was made not only through the Amex Platinum The Hotel Collection but also as a Gold member of the Accor loyalty program, which entitles me to a range of benefits. Unfortunately, during my stay, none of these benefits were acknowledged or communicated by the staff — no mention of the $100 hotel credit, welcome amenities, room upgrades, early check-in, or late check-out. The experience felt no different from staying at a regular hotel without any loyalty status, which was very disappointing considering the 5-star standard and premium pricing. To be candid, if this is the level of service and recognition guests receive, then maintaining loyalty status or being part of a rewards program feels meaningless. The benefits seem nonexistent in practice. While I hesitate to compare, other hotel groups such as Hilton and IHG clearly communicate and honor their loyalty benefits, enhancing the guest experience. Some may suggest that I should have asked about these benefits myself. However, I believe it is the responsibility of the hotel to proactively inform guests rather than expecting them to inquire or chase after perks. It is one of the good hotels for accommodation and is close to the center of Munich, as it is close to Arabic restaurants and also to the marina in addition to the main train station.. But what is wrong with it is the breakfast, which I do not recommend at all.. The quantities are small and are not replenished when the quantity is finished except at the request of the staff and there is no variety as well.

The hotel impresses with its elegant ambience, high-quality amenities, and extremely central location, right next to the main train station yet wonderfully quiet. The location near the train station is unbeatable, the spa is beautiful, and the bar is also great. The staff in these areas are courteous and committed to making guests happy. The welcome gift (bottle of champagne) is also very generous, as is the room upgrade for Platinum members. Unfortunately, the reception leaves a lot to be desired; there was no proactive communication, and the staff seemed disinterested and unfriendly. The breakfast was also overcrowded and of poor quality, not worthy of a Sofitel. When we asked for a late checkout at 1:00 PM, we were told no, as high-status guests were coming after us. When we checked out and were asked how our stay was, and we said "mixed," we received no feedback... We then told them what bothered us, and they said we can always offer a late checkout and we can stay if we want. We politely declined.

For a 5 star hotel, the Sofitel Munich should have been much better. We found ourselves at reception one morning with no staff behind the counter, and no concierge either - had to wait a few minutes until someone noticed us standing around. Staff at breakfast were disinterested at best, and the food offering was very ordinary. Room was adequate but very dark. Worst hairdryer I have ever used in a luxury hotel. If staff are not there to provide excellent service to the customer, they probably shouldn’t be there. We have stayed at many Sofitel hotels around the world and our experience on this occasion makes us question the prestige of the brand. If you’re looking for a hotel next to the main train station, this is the one for you, but otherwise I would pass.

my stay at SOFITEL HOTEL MÜNCHEN was excellent this is the third time I have used this hotel and again it was a fantastic experience the service is really good when you arrive at the hotel you are welcomed by a professional team who are ready to help you and you can feel they do their best to ensure that you have a good experience when I arrived at the hotel I had a wish to upgrade my room it was no problem the receptionist quickly found a solution when I got to the room it was not exactly what I was looking for so I wanted to upgrade again to a larger room it was a bit of a puzzle for him to find a room but he managed He took the time to show me the rooms what options were available to me he was friendly and accommodating he made a really good effort to fulfil my wishes so five stars to the receptionists and bellhops SOFITEL HOTEL MÜNCHEN is a really nice hotel, stylish, beautiful surroundings, nice rooms, lovely spa area, swimming pool, sauna and steam bath, massage, really nice room service does it super well it's always clean super sweet staff and takes great care again five stars and the location is good, it is easy to get around the city and easy to get to from the airport if you use DB line S8, you drive directly from the airport to the hotel almost to the door for 15 € if you take a taxi around 120 € when I was checking out of the hotel I paid for my upgrade and a little bit from the minibar everything was as it should be when I got home a few days later I saw that 280 € more had been deducted from my account than we had agreed so I wrote an email to SOFITEL and asked I got a quick response from Sylwia Zawisza Back Office Manager who was able to inform me that it covered breakfast if it was not correct that I had used the breakfast at the hotel and it was completely correct that I had used breakfast I had been unsure because I had upgraded my room several times whether I could freely use breakfast or not so I had asked at the reception they were also a little unsure but they came back and said that I could use the breakfast for free I explained that to Sylwia Zawisza who again came back quickly and solved the problem so again really really good service the problem was solved also five big stars to Sylwia Zawisza Back Office Manager and SOFITEL HOTEL MÜNCHEN I highly recommend this five-star hotel All the staff do their utmost to make the guests feel welcome and comfortable Definitely a hotel I will use again.

If you are arriving in Munich via train, this hotel is literally right outside the station. It is very convenient and also very convenient to the S and U line trains and the above ground trams that can take you around the city. The hotel has comfortable rooms with nice showers and bathrooms. The breakfast buffet that was included with our rate was wonderful and offered nice vegan/vegetarian options.

I recently stayed at what is supposedly a luxurious hotel, but it was far from it. Firstly, the complimentary water was not sealed and labeled "freshly from the tap," which was concerning. The snack menu was available only from 11:30 PM to 7 AM, with undesirable options that no one would want to eat late at night. Room service had the same overpriced, limited selections as the restaurant, which was ridiculous. The air conditioning sounded like a Mack truck. The chair in the room creaked every time I sat down. The furniture and floor were scuffed and marked, and the toilet kept running water since the half flush didn’t work properly. Additionally, the electric bidet made a humming noise that was quite distracting. Concierge seemed to flee the scene without fully explaining abything about the room or hotel facilities. Very unwelcoming. This whole experience was very disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on the poor service and amenities provided.

Rated as a 5-star hotel, but certainly does not feel like it. On check in the reception was very warm and helpful. The room, however, was well worn and poorly designed (one sliding door shared between shower and toilet, making it impossible for both areas to be closed off at the same time). The location is very convenient to the main train station; however, that means there are no good views and lots of questionable characters in the area immediately surrounding the hotel. We booked through AMEX Travel and they did not honor our free breakfast on the last day with the manager unwilling to budge, even when provided with the receipt from AMEX. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

Room 369 – Overall a decent hotel. Since there was a trade fair in Munich, hotel prices were disproportionately high, so I won’t judge based on price vs. quality, but rather compare it to my recent hotel stays. First impression was good, with a nice touch of complimentary macarons and bottled water. However, turndown service was only provided one of the two nights. Looking more closely, the room showed signs of wear and was not particularly well cleaned. It was also far too dark. The soap dispenser in the shower didn’t work, used coffee cups were not replaced during cleaning, and the mattress topper seemed too short for the bed. Friendly staff at the bar and reception, but no one welcomed us at the door or offered to bring our luggage to the room. Conclusion: I’m sure there are better hotels in Munich within the same price range.

After enjoying an all-around outstanding stay at the Sofitel in Rome last year – particularly due to the first-class service, the excellent location, the aesthetic design of the hotel, and the stylish breakfast room – we traveled to Munich with correspondingly high expectations. Unfortunately, these expectations were not met at the accommodation there. While the rooms are tastefully and high-quality furnished, the service leaves much to be desired: overall, it seems mediocre, unattentive, and rather superficial. The breakfast experience was particularly disappointing – it gives the impression of a mass processing operation. The staff primarily focuses on quickly assigning seating rather than approaching guests with personal attention and warm hospitality. In addition, there is an unpleasant background noise in the breakfast area, reminiscent of a busy train station – presumably due to the hotel's central location. Overall, our stay left a sobering impression. For this reason, we will refrain from visiting this hotel again in the future.

My family and I stayed at the Sofitel Munich for our family vacation and it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in in a long time. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and had a very nice and professional staff. We had the privilege to meet and get to know the hotel manager named Umut. He was amazing! He was very friendly, helpful and my college boys really enjoyed chatting with him. Umut and the entire hotel staff made sure our stay was perfect and that we were happy. We all agreed that when we visit Munich again, we will definitely stay at the Sofitel Munich Hotel. It was great! Umut is the best hotel manager we have ever met and enjoyed getting to know him. 😊

I had a small issue with the room upon checking in and I was contacted by the duty manager Mahmoud who made sure that the issue was resolved and his genuine hospitality and care to make our stay unforgettable was really the highlight of our stay. Mahmoud took it upon himself to personally help us which I really appreciate and I am grateful to have met Mahmoud and will look forward to our next stay! The location of the hotel is right next to the central station which is very convenient. The room is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The amenities are very refreshing as well!

My room was super clean, and the bed was also super comfortable. I received a bath treatment from housekeeping with bath salts, a rubber duck, chocolate, and Diptyque products. The spa is not to be underestimated; even if it may not be impressive in terms of size, it scores even higher in terms of ambiance and service. We were greeted politely and immediately felt at home. In the brasserie, not only was the food fantastic, but the service was also attentive and courteous. Whether it was food or drinks, I received professional advice at all times. My evening was rounded off in the bar with excellent advice; after a brief chat with the bartender, he served my companion and me just the right cocktail for the evening. Our stay came to a perfect end with breakfast. With a large selection at the buffet and all kinds of à la carte dishes, I was completely satisfied. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, and we were in our room very quickly, despite our early arrival.

Nice hotel right next to the train station. The rooms are nice and we didn't notice any construction work in the surrounding area. What really bothered us was the breakfast buffet. That was clearly not enough for a German 5 star hotel. No comparison with the Andaz in Munich, for example. The service was also just “okay”, but that could also be because the hotel was almost completely booked.

We stayed one week in this hotel and we really enjoyed it all special thanks to hotel manager Mr. Umut. He assisted us personally during our stay and made sure everything was brilliant. He also constantly helped us with restaurant bookings and used his contacts to get even reservations where was normally not available. Room service however needs to be improved. Many times what we ordered took long time which we had to ask Mr. Umut for his assistance. He also assisted us with the doctor as we needed. He did follow up and personally arranged all our needs. We would like to thank him for everything.

Hotel close to main station and also in heart of center with good staff and providing a good foods. But I was disappointed because I asked for a calm room without noise then I got one in 7 floor with noise of AC or lift but was all night so at the end without sleeping. Knowing also that I raised a request for an upgrade to duplex suites even to add some extra ( request number 479692302) but wasn’t then got only simple room. It will be good to keep attention to all information while hosting guests getting a better satisfaction but for me I will not back there.

Our favorite place in Munich to stay. Right outside the entrance at the Munich Bayerpost central station making access everywhere easy. Rooms have started to show a little wear, though still very nice. First time we stayed where the staff wasn’t at their best… wait at the bellman and the front desk. May have just been off-season staffing. Didn’t take great photos - just posted one from our front during our last trip for Oktoberfest. ( I’ll upload more later) Overall would stay again… but as it’s lost a bit of luster, I’ll be comparing other options next time. ( as the price is always among the highest )

First of all, I would like to give it 6 or 7 stars. Unfortunately, my stay started off a bit bumpy, but after very good communication at the hotel, it became the best hotel stay of my life. I was upgraded to the Oyster Suite, the Magnificent Apartment, for one night. The international team at the Sofitel Bayerpost gave me a special feeling, a V.I.P. to be a guest. I'm just a person who likes to treat myself to something within my means. From the staff, I would particularly like to thank the lady from the spa reception (she was on duty on Friday afternoon), the lady from the breakfast reception (Thank you for remembering my name.) etc. This “service” made my stay a very special experience. And don't forget the very competent lady at reception with roots in Mongolia. There isn't a single person I can say anything bad about. The breakfast also made my stay a special moment. For me, luxury is not just bling and champagne, but also a special appreciation. I had tears of joy in my eyes. Thank you for THE perfect stay at the Sofitel Bayerpost! See you soon!

1. Unfortunately, I missed the moment when foie gras started to cost as much as black caviar. At the same time, the portion was halved. 2. It was difficult to book a table, although we were sitting in a half-empty establishment. 3. I can’t say that it was incredibly tasty, the prices were above average. The bill for dinner for two with a bottle of wine was €200+. 4. The atmosphere is not French, the service is uninterested in the client. 5. And the “icing on the cake” was food poisoning.

A wonderful French restaurant in the heart of Munich! The dishes are sophisticated and full of flavor – fresh oysters, tender duck and coq au vin, and perfectly prepared fish. The wine list is outstanding and perfectly rounds off the culinary experience. The staff deserves special mention: warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their work. A true gem for gourmets – we'll definitely be back!
