★★★☆☆ 3/5 Unser Aufenthalt im Sofitel Munich Bayerpost war zwar angenehm, aber angesichts des guten Rufs, des Fünf-Sterne-Status und der hohen Preise insgesamt etwas enttäuschend. Die Lage direkt am Münchner Hauptbahnhof ist hervorragend und ermöglicht eine bequeme Erkundung der Stadt sowie Weiterreisen mit der Bahn. Das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel, aber überraschend klein und bot weniger Platz, als wir von einem Luxushotel erwartet hätten. Leider ließen einige Aspekte zu wünschen übrig. Der Fernseher im Zimmer verfügte nicht über Smart-TV-Funktionen und bot außer deutschsprachigen Sendern kaum Programme. Das Fitnesscenter war klein und unzureichend ausgestattet, mit wenig Platz und Geräten. Der Service im gesamten Hotel war eher dürftig als schlecht – die Angestellten waren zwar höflich, aber es fehlte an der Aufmerksamkeit und Gastfreundschaft, die man von einem Sofitel erwartet. Speisen und Getränke waren teuer und unserer Erfahrung nach von durchschnittlicher Qualität. Grundsätzlich gab es an unserem Aufenthalt nichts auszusetzen, und das Hotel diente uns als komfortabler Ausgangspunkt für unsere Zeit in München. Für den gezahlten Preis hatten wir jedoch einen deutlich höheren Standard an Ausstattung, Service und Gesamterlebnis erwartet. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass das Sofitel Munich Bayerpost mehr von seinem Ruf und seiner Lage profitiert als von einem echten Fünf-Sterne-Erlebnis.

Das Hotel ist wirklich schön, alles ist super sauber, und es lag in der Nähe eines köstlichen vietnamesischen Restaurants!

Das Hotel ist wunderschön und bietet ein abwechslungsreiches Frühstücksbuffet. Es liegt günstig in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, der Arab Street, Geschäften, Restaurants und Einkaufszentren.

Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren wahrscheinlich die freundlichsten, die ich je im Empfangsbereich erlebt habe. Besonders Alex sorgte dafür, dass wir uns sofort wie zu Hause fühlten. Ein sehr schönes Hotel in toller Lage direkt am Bahnhof.

Perfektes Tagungshotel, super Service, tolles Ambiente und das Essen....

Wir haben zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht. Vom Empfang bis zur Abreise war alles perfekt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Personal, das uns mit seiner Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit beeindruckt hat. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist in dieser Hotelkategorie sehr gut.

Ich kann das Sofitel Bayern München wärmstens empfehlen! Einige Bewertungen haben mich etwas skeptisch gemacht, aber ehrlich gesagt verstehe ich deren Bedenken nicht. Ja, es gibt Bauarbeiten rund um den Bahnhof, aber wir hatten keinerlei Sicherheitsbedenken. Die Lage ist super, und der Service vom Check-in über den Morgenkaffee bis hin zur Zimmerreinigung war fantastisch. Zugegeben, für einen Fitnessfanatiker wie mich ist der Fitnessraum etwas klein, aber er bietet alles, was man braucht, und ich hatte Glück, dass es morgens früh, wenn ich trainieren wollte, nicht überfüllt war. Wir wurden kostenlos in die Prestige Suite upgegradet, was natürlich ein Pluspunkt war, aber ich würde das Hotel auch dann uneingeschränkt empfehlen, wenn wir in unserer vorherigen Suite geblieben wären. Viel Spaß!

Wieder einmal ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt im Sofitel. Bereits beim Check-in hat uns Malte mit seiner herzlichen, professionellen Art das Gefühl gegeben, nach Hause zu kommen. Solche Gastgeber machen den Unterschied und sorgen dafür, dass man sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen fühlt. Auch das Zimmer ließ keine Wünsche offen – stilvoll, komfortabel und perfekt gepflegt. Das Frühstück war wie gewohnt hervorragend, mit einer tollen Auswahl und bester Qualität. Ein Haus, das durch exzellenten Service, hohe Standards und echte Gastfreundschaft überzeugt. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt!

Sofitel Bayerpost München ist eine Adresse die man auf dem Radar haben sollte wenn man ein Hotel in München sucht. Ist direkt am Bahnhof vom Zugverkehr mekrt man aber nichts weder in den Zimmern noch im Spa. Ich komme jederzeit wieder bei gegebenem Anlass.

Das Hotel ist in jeder Hinsicht wunderbar. Die Apartments sind modern und gut ausgestattet, allerdings ohne Badewanne. Ich fand lediglich das Frühstück (45,00 €) pro Person und Tag sowie die Parkgebühren (45,00 €) pro Auto und Tag sehr teuer. Ich hätte mich aber vorher informieren und die Kosten-Nutzen-Rechnung anstellen sollen. Angesichts der guten Lage und der vielen Cafés in der Nähe hätte ich auch auswärts frühstücken können. Allerdings hätte ich dann den hervorragenden Service des Hotels verpasst. Wir konnten außerdem bis 14:00 Uhr auschecken, was für uns sehr praktisch war.

Die Erwartungen an dieses 5-Sterne-Hotel wurden leider nicht erfüllt. Der größte Vorteil des Hotels ist seine hervorragende Lage, insbesondere die Nähe zum Bahnhof, die das Reisen sehr bequem machte. Die Zimmer waren gemütlich und ansprechend gestaltet, die Betten jedoch nicht besonders komfortabel und boten nicht den Erholungskomfort, den ich von einem Luxushotel erwarte. Der Service war während unseres Aufenthalts etwas uneinheitlich. Dem Personal an der Rezeption fehlte die Aufmerksamkeit und der persönliche Service, die man üblicherweise von einem 5-Sterne-Hotel kennt. Im Gegensatz dazu waren die Gepäckträger und das Restaurantpersonal hervorragend – freundlich, professionell und sehr hilfsbereit. Beim Frühstück fanden wir leider eine Nacktschnecke in einem unserer Salate. Obwohl dies ein enttäuschendes und beunruhigendes Erlebnis war, reagierte das Hotel schnell und professionell. Die Hotelleitung entschuldigte sich und bot uns umgehend ein besseres Zimmer als Geste des guten Willens an, was wir sehr zu schätzen wussten. Insgesamt betrachtet hat das Hotel zwar einige Stärken, insbesondere seine Lage und einige ausgezeichnete Mitarbeiter, doch die Uneinheitlichkeit beim Service, dem Zimmerkomfort und dem kulinarischen Erlebnis erschwerte es, den Eindruck zu gewinnen, dass das Hotel seiner 5-Sterne-Bewertung voll und ganz gerecht wird.

Ein Hotel, in dem alles stimmt. Die Lage ist top, alles ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und jeden Cent wert. Der Empfang ist erstklassig, Arturo ist sehr zuvorkommend und ein echter Profi. Sauberkeit und Service sind exzellent.

Fantastisches Hotel in toller Lage, nahe dem Hauptbahnhof für Weiterreisen und mit guter Anbindung an den Flughafen. Das Essen im Restaurant war ebenfalls hervorragend. Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen: Beim Check-in erhielten wir keinerlei Informationen zu Restaurants, Frühstück oder Bar. Die Bar war zudem zu klein und immer überfüllt.

Sehr gute Lage für Ausflüge ins Zentrum von München. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Sauberkeit der Zimmer kann verbessert werden. Preise doch über dem Leistungsverhältnis.

Was für eine tolle Lage mitten in München! Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bequem zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind stilvoll eingerichtet und zudem äußerst komfortabel. Das Bett gehört zu den bequemsten, in denen ich je geschlafen habe!

Der Buchungsprozess war völlig unglaubwürdig, und auch gegenüber Gästen wurde keinerlei Flexibilität gezeigt. Alle Hotels legen Wert auf das finanzielle und praktische Wohlbefinden ihrer Gäste, aber dieses Hotel tat dies nicht. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt dort absolut nicht empfehlen, insbesondere angesichts des miserablen Managements. Sehr enttäuschend. 👎🏽👎🏽

Hello! I am participating in the elections for national representatives in Bulgaria. The sections are located in the Sofitel hotel. I am delighted with the pleasant atmosphere and comfort of the hotel. Mr. Ruzhen Makarinov is unique with his competence and willingness to assist. The coffee has a wonderful aroma. I feel wonderful here even though I am in working mode. I will gladly recommend the hotel to my loved ones! A great place for relaxation and business visits! Greetings!

We stayed as a family of 5 in 2 rooms that were interconnecting. The rooms were big and accommodated us all nicely. Our rooms faced the train station, but it was very quiet and we never heard any outside noise. We found the hotel to be very luxurious, all staff attentive and helpful and the breakfast offerings were ample. The pool and spa area are amazing.

The hotel is genuinely beautiful and very well located, right next to the main train station and within easy reach of the city center. The staff were consistently polite, helpful, and understanding throughout my stay, which made the overall experience even better. The facilities were excellent, and the room itself was both very comfortable and thoughtfully designed.

Great location! Service was very good. Charges early check in rates. Bathrooms: - dark even with lights. Can’t shave my face in that bathroom, hard to see in daytime also.

Since I was robbed by a few hotel guests, and they even took a large sum of money that they never returned, and the instigating guest is hiding behind a "ban" and his blonde sister, behind closed doors, and my son (who is under my care) is also missing because of these people (guests, acquaintances of the Sofitel), and we have to search for him because these guests think they own the place, we have become victims, and it's unbelievable that something like this could happen in a 5-star hotel. The police and a lawyer have of course been informed, but what these guests—a brother and sister with three other acquaintances—are allowed to do is beyond words. Something like this happens in a 5-star hotel (the Sofitel at Munich Central Station), and it evokes a very particular feeling. We are, of course, trying to bring this to the public's attention because we are missing our son! (Because of these guests, who have been regularly announcing the boy's disappearance since November 2025.) Any information should be sent to me and my parents!

We loved everything about our stay - the room, the service, the location, the breakfast - everything was fantastic, but the brasserie was disappointing. That's the only thing. Loved everything else.

This is by far one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. And this is simply due to the outstanding work of the staff. They were highly professional, always very friendly, and perfectly organized. Everything in this hotel works exactly as you would want it to. We had a wonderful stay.

The hotel has a great location near the train station. Takes you less then 2 minutes to walk to the hotel from the train station. We stayed in a Junior Suite and it has a great view of the train station (who knew there were so many train movements a minute). That said the room was a little dated and dirty and they mentioned they were doing renovations soon. They did off a complimentary breakfast to make up for some of the cleanliness issues. The breakfast itself was a very robust buffet! The staff in the hotel are very helpful! The hotel could use a slightly larger gym given the clientel.

I can only give full marks in every respect. The family room was fantastic, and the service throughout the hotel was excellent. We travel the world regularly and stay in a wide variety of hotels. My stay at this hotel for business was excellent from beginning to end. It is, without a doubt, an ideal hotel for both corporate trips and other types of stays. From the moment I arrived, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile and anticipating any need. This level of service truly makes a difference when you travel for work. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and, crucially, perfectly soundproofed, guaranteeing a good night's sleep even after long days. The decor is modern and contemporary, creating a pleasant and functional atmosphere. As for the meeting facilities, they more than meet expectations: spacious, well-designed, and very bright, ideal for working productively and comfortably. Although my trip was for business, I was impressed by how well-prepared the hotel is for families, with services and details that make it versatile for all types of guests. Finally, the breakfast deserves special mention: varied, high-quality, and with excellent show cooking service that adds a unique and much-appreciated touch to start the day with energy. Without a doubt, a highly recommended option.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hotel and can absolutely recommend it. The beautiful spa area deserves special mention – modern, clean, and perfect for relaxation. The pool is also a real highlight. Breakfast was excellent – ​​delicious, with a wide selection and overall very high quality. They clearly prioritize quality products. A particular highlight was the Eggs Benedict – perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious! A big thank you also goes to the entire team: the staff were consistently very friendly and attentive. The valet parking service also worked flawlessly and was very convenient. The only minor drawback is the location in the immediate vicinity of the main train station. This means that there can be a somewhat "unique" crowd in the evenings, which is something to be aware of. However, this didn't significantly detract from our overall very positive impression. All in all, a fantastic hotel with high quality, excellent service, and a superb spa area – we would gladly return!

The staff and excellent service deserve special mention. Even the reception was very good. Our car was parked in the garage. At reception, we received an upgrade and a voucher for a glass of champagne. Everything was top-notch, nothing to complain about. The lobby and the overall impression of the hotel also live up to the standards of a Sofitel. However, that's where the positives end. The rooms are slightly worn. The beds are also unfortunately saggy. Breakfast was average, but the price-performance ratio was acceptable. The worst part was the spa area, including the pool. While it's beautiful and unique, what good is that if the guests can't behave and the staff does nothing about it? Glasses are taken into the pool. The sauna area is supposedly clothing-optional, but nobody seems to care. 90% of the guests are fully clothed. And the worst thing is the noise level. Relaxation: 0%. Would I come back again? Probably yes. Because of the excellent service, great location, and great value for money.

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Sofitel Munich over Easter weekend. We had a very pleasant experience. The front desk staff Alex and Kendrick were kind and helpful. We were given chocolate bunnies upon check in (very cute gesture). Literally next door to the train station, which for our purposes was perfect!

The best hotel in Munich. One of the best hotels in Europe. If you appreciate high quality, this is definitely the place for you. Five stars are reflected in every aspect. The location is superb, and the (all-important) staff is truly five-star quality. Highly recommended.

Next to the main station, impressive building and nice rooms. I was upgraded thanks to my Diamond Accord card, and loved the suite we got. Breakfast had a nice selection. Reception were very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

I travel a lot myself and I'm surprised this hotel has 5 stars. The service, rooms, design and furnishings reminded me more of a 3-star hotel. Everything seems very old and cheap.

I don't even know where to begin... The hotel is beautiful, modern, and in a fantastic location, about a 30-minute walk from the Viktualienmarkt. There's a spa area with a lovely pool and sauna, etc. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely room with a super comfortable and large bed. The breakfast buffet is amazing ❤️... it has everything you could possibly want! We'll definitely be staying there again soon ☺️.

We stayed at the Sofitel Munich expecting the level of comfort, service, and attention to detail that a five-star hotel promises. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable, especially for a family traveling with a young child. We were traveling with a 4-year-old child and were assigned a room that was far too small for three people. Once the extra bed was installed, it was placed directly next to the main bed, leaving virtually no space to move around the room. It was impossible to walk safely, open luggage comfortably, or function normally in the room. We contacted the hotel staff to explain that the room was not suitable for a family and requested a larger room. The only response we received was that, if we wanted more space, we would need to pay for an upgrade. No alternatives were offered, no effort was made to assist us, and no responsibility was taken by the hotel. This attitude clearly demonstrated a lack of interest in providing quality service or properly accommodating guests, which is unacceptable in a five-star hotel. Even more concerning was the way the extra bed was positioned in relation to a structural column in the room. The column was located directly above part of the extra bed, leaving an uneven and unsafe space where a child could easily fall or hit themselves while sleeping or getting in and out of bed. This setup clearly shows that this type of room is not suitable for the placement of an extra bed and should never be assigned to a family with a young child. Given the dismissive and unhelpful attitude shown by the staff, we did not raise this additional concern at the time, as it was already evident that guest comfort and, more importantly, child safety were not a priority. This hotel is absolutely not kid-friendly. The lack of space, the unsafe room configuration, and the staff’s approach—suggesting that guests simply pay more instead of ensuring a safe and adequate room—demonstrate a complete disregard for families. This level of service is unacceptable in any hotel, but it is especially shocking in a property that markets itself as a luxury five-star hotel. We felt ignored, uncomfortable, and deeply disappointed throughout our stay. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Sofitel Munich to families or to anyone expecting the standards of comfort, safety, and service that should come with a five-star hotel. This was a truly poor experience and does not reflect the quality, professionalism, or values one would expect from the Sofitel brand.

Classy-looking, fancy common areas and bar/restaurant are appreciated and very nice. My room was in need of a refresh, it was a bit worn-out, but the bed was extremely comfortable which was the main priority. Would stay there again on company dime :)

Excellent property, very well designed and charming in terms of spaces and lighting. Perfect staff: attentive but not intrusive, especially in the breakfast area. A big compliment. The location is also excellent, close to the metro/train/tram, from which you can easily reach the entire city.

Hotel is very nice and service experiences were great outside of a slight check-in issue. We arrived at 2:20pm or so and our room was not ready and told it is guaranteed by 3pm. We mentioned we may be waiting in the bar and after about an hour I walked over to reception and they said our room was ready. We were surprised we did not receive a call or text that the room was ready since we were waiting. Once in the room, we were surprised by how low the water pressure was. Using the rain head shower was essentially unusable due to how low the pressure was. Lastly, we did not call the front desk but it was very hot in the room and adjusting the thermostat seemed to make no change. It was set to 22 degrees and we turned it down to 16 degrees and the temperature did not seem to adjust. There was a standing fan in the room and it seemed like it may have been a known issue the room stays very warm. Normally staying in a 5 star hotel you should be able to sleep comfortably and we were not which was not great prior to a 20 hour travel day starting at 5am the next morning.

Very convenient location, just next to Munich Central Station. We booked a Junior Suite and the room was impressively spacious. Breakfast was excellent, and despite a brief electricity issue that morning, it became a memorable candle-light breakfast 😂. Staff handled it professionally.

I stayed at the Sofitel and initially had a very positive experience — it could easily have been a five-star stay — until I was harassed by another guest. The incident began in the spa, where this individual followed me and behaved inappropriately. Later that day, he followed me to my room and waited outside my door on multiple occasions throughout the evening. When I reported this, the reception team initially handled the situation well. They offered to change my room, and a member of security — who was exceptionally kind, understanding and professional — escorted me to a new room on a different floor. However, I have since contacted the hotel several times to understand what follow-up actions were taken. I specifically asked: • whether the guest had been spoken to, • whether his parents had been informed (as he was underage), • and whether he had been banned from using the spa. I have now been informed by a colleague who is still staying at the hotel that the same individual is once again in the spa, unattended. I find this deeply concerning and irresponsible. The reception manager’s response has been dismissive and has downplayed the seriousness of the situation. I am raising this formally to ensure the hotel takes responsibility, puts appropriate measures in place, and creates a safe environment for all guests — particularly women — by addressing misconduct and preventing this from happening again.

We enjoyed our stay at Sofitel Munich. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. I’ll be dreaming of the croissant pudding they had at breakfast.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a long trip across Europe, and really enjoyed it. The hotel is located directly next to the main train station in Munich, so getting there is extremely easy if arriving by train. The entire train station is currently under construction (which is in no way the hotel's fault) so until that is done, you might need to dodge some construction work, but it's really very easy. The front desk staff was very helpful, and got us in to our room early, which gave us some extra time to explore the city. Our room was extremely nice and very modern, featuring a giant bathtub and a Bluetooth stereo you could pair to your own devices for music. We took advantage of the hotel breakfast both morning we were there, and it was excellent. Fresh coffee, a made-to-order egg + omelette bar, fresh fruit and pastries- it was one of the better breakfasts we had during our entire trip. Also, try out the spa- they offer a full suite of services, and it has one of the coolest pools I've ever seen.

I expected much more from you Sofitel! This used to be my favorite hotel for years but when i got here i got quite disappointed. The room was kinda small which i didnt like but the breakfast was actually really good and i liked it but i just didnt really like the location as well because idk if its just me but around the area there were drunk people and stuff so i didnt really like that but i like how it was next to the train station.

You can not beat this location. You literally walk out the front door and you are at the main Munich train station. You are easily able to safely walk to all of the Christmas markets and tourist destinations. Throw in that they have exceptional service and beautiful, modern rooms and you are in for a treat. Highly recommend this property and we will be staying again!

Great hotel. Great bar. Bit i am surprised how they can repeat same breakfast back to back everyday. We stayed here for 3 days and we didnt find anything new. Same copy paste!. And we are vegetarian, they dont have anything hot for vegetarian, when whole world is preferring vegetarian food. Plus why theybhave one bottle for rooms? Even for suites, they dont refill, dont have marketplace or a common area where you can refill your bottle. Accor or hotel GM should visit india and see how hospitality and how breakfast spread is done! Pretty disappointed

Great hotel : Great check in & great cleanliness We had a two level suite - we stayed there 3 days with our kids & we enjoyed the walk to marineplatz and the Christmas markets The hotel is very well situated almost at the main train station. You walk for less than 5 mins and you are in the old town main street

Excellent stay in Munich Sofitel, staff at reception were friendly and efficient and breakfast had a good variety. Best part is the fact that it's located literally beside the Munich Central train station. Room was very good and had everything we needed. Somewhat a luxury stay, although there's no turn down service at night. TV channels - had English news and NHK which was great as that meant we weren't stuck with just German programmes. Didn't use the pool or spa because it was filled with families and screaming kids which put us off, but it wasn't our main objective to use the spa facilities at Sofitel anyway. Only negative was because the body lotion in the bathroom wasn't replenished and was empty. For a 5 star hotel you wouldn't expect this kind of slip up.

Beautiful setting inside the hotel, very warm atmosphere, friendly, efficient and very kind staff, the dishes are very good and vary a bit depending on their origin from France with Bayonne ham to pasta and typical German dishes..... very good, I'll come back!

Overall it was a pleasant stay. The staff was polite, and the location was convenient for someone who wanted to visit other areas by train (it is right next to the station). For someone who wants to move mainly to the center it is about 20 minutes walking distance or 10 minutes by public transport. The only thing we did not like is that the daily cleaning of the room was done properly only on the first day. From the second day onwards there was no replenishment of tea, coffee and clean cups and other consumables that had been replaced on the first day.

After a long day of walking around Munich in the cold, it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The facilities were beautifully maintained and incredibly calming—an absolute must if you're looking for some downtime during your visit. Throughout our stay, the staff consistently checked in to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, which made a big difference in the overall experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable, something that’s so important after a long day of exploring the city. The concierge team was always welcoming and more than willing to assist with any requests, ensuring our stay was as smooth as possible. We highly recommend Sofitel Munich to anyone visiting the area and would absolutely love to stay here again in the future!

The lounge and bar were pleasant, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The spa itself is nice, although extremely busy before 7:00 pm. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. We were initially given a room with a strong sewage smell, which we only noticed after dinner. At 11:00 pm we were moved to a lower-category room. Only the following morning—after further complaints—were we given a better room within the originally booked category. When guests are forced to change rooms late at night due to a serious issue like this, an upgrade should be offered immediately rather than a downgrade. To make matters worse, the replacement room had no towels and was not serviced during the day. The hotel is close to the city centre, which is a positive. However, the surrounding neighborhood is very run-down, dirty, and full of intoxicated people, which felt uncomfortable—especially when returning to the hotel in the evening. Sofitel usually maintains high standards, but unfortunately this property did not meet those expectations. Medium stay, high costs.

Absolutely nothing in hotel is five star. Barely three star. Will never stay in this particular hotel ever again.

We stayed here last Christmas and again this year around the same time. Our previous experience was amazing, which is why we returned. The breakfast staff and the cleaning team are excellent and truly deserve praise. However, we were disappointed with the reception this time. The official check-in time is 3:00 pm, and we arrived around 3:25 pm. We understand that delays can happen, but we were not properly informed. We were asked to wait 15–20 minutes with drink vouchers, but after waiting over 30 minutes, no one updated us. We had to go back to reception multiple times, and only then were we told the room had actually been ready shortly after 3:00 pm. There was also some confusion at checkout regarding the Booking.com payment. Overall, the reception staff needs better communication, as the rest of the team is wonderful.

Good location, perfect service, but unfortunately the rooms have flaws.

My family and I stayed here for a few days during the Christmas holiday season and we were very impressed with the Quad room on the 8th floor. The check in process was a bit slow until we saw a separate area for Family check in and our stay was great. Unfortunately my kids did come down with the flu and we requested chicken noodle soup from room service. It was not on the menu but the chef made it for them and it was delicious. Room service was always prompt and everyone on the staff was polite and welcoming. Definitely a 5 star experience.

We chose this hotel because of its close location to the train station, but this by far my worst "5 star" hotel stay. First of all, the "luxury room" is rather mediocre, the breakfast does not have much choice. The lady at spa was very rude and kept on saying "I've worked for a full day bla bla" and was very impatient to us. Then the worst part came after I checked out. I was charged 120 euro "room upgrade fee" without any of my consent and the program I used to book supposed to be coming with compliment room upgrade and 100usd credit (which should be 85 euro but they only claim 80euro). I would have neglected the extra charge if I have not read the bill carefully. Then I tried to reach them by email and no one repiled me for two days. Fortunately after calling them international call two days (yes no one picked up phone after 11pm), someone finally replied that he can settle the bill. Let's see how things turn out. I'm expecting a relaxing holiday at a fancy building, but now I'm still worried if I'll be wrong charged, this is ridiculous.

Check-in was extremely efficient and professional; all information was provided proactively. Unfortunately, our reservation at the IsarBar was forgotten, but the team handled the situation superbly. We waited at the bar and were then immediately seated at the first available table. Our two glasses of champagne at the bar were complimentary. Thus, what should have been an annoying oversight was transformed into a positive experience. The room was very nice, clean, and pleasantly warm. We enjoyed two visits to the lovely spa. The breakfast was extensive and delicious, and the many service staff members were friendly and very helpful. Throughout the entire hotel, every interaction with the staff was characterized by professionalism and friendliness. Our electric car was fully charged in the garage. Even our final interaction with the porter upon departure was exceptionally warm; we were given water and sweets to take with us. This stay at the Sofitel Bayerpost will remain a cherished memory for a long time.

I recently stayed at the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost for two nights during the festive season. As a frequent international traveller, I look for efficiency and comfort, and this stay was exceptional on both fronts. What worked well: Generous Hospitality: Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a category three classes higher than booked. The room was ready as per my prior intimation, which is a level of coordination I deeply value. Thoughtful Touches: We were welcomed with fresh fruit, gingerbread, and Christmas pleasantries. The festive decorations throughout the hotel were beautiful—I particularly enjoyed the Christmas train model on display. Room & Service: The room was spacious and the housekeeping team was prompt and meticulous in their service, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness. Unbeatable Location: Being situated right outside the Munich Central Station (Hbf) is a major advantage for international travellers. Efficiency Under Pressure: We had a very early morning train to Paris. The staff was incredibly quick and efficient during our early check-out, ensuring we reached the platform without any stress or delay. The Experience: The staff at this property truly understands the needs of a traveller. From the proactive room upgrade to the speed of the front desk during a time-sensitive departure, the service was seamless. It is rare to find a hotel that balances luxury with such practical, high-speed efficiency. Takeaway: A top-tier choice in Munich, especially if you are travelling by rail. The combination of its strategic location and a staff that genuinely cares about guest timelines makes it highly recommended.

We checked in right at peak times from Dec 20 to Dec 23. The stay was pleasant and the rooms were very well designed. No issues during the stay. However after I checked out, I found an additional $1473 (on top of amenities charges) charged to my credit card even though my stay was prepaid by Chase Travel. I’ve tried calling multiple times and sent an email without response; and now I have to file a dispute. The lack of communication is not acceptable.

Our stay was excellent overall. The hotel was very comfortable and clean, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We felt completely at ease and would definitely return.

Long queue for checking in, breakfast area overcrowded and without any local flavours, they managed to lose a bag just before departure and I had to wait for 30 minutes at reception until they found it…luckily no flight but honestly disappointed.

We are here for 6 days and cannot be happier. The rooms are very nice, the pillows are great, and the breakfast is first rate. Most importantly the staff are friendly and, very helpful. This is what a 5 star hotel is all about!

Excellent, clean and the location is strategic

The room is second to none, the young lady who looks after the spa in the morning is very polite and friendly, and the breakfast staff impresses with their boundless attentiveness. My mother, 8 month old baby and myself had a fantastic 3 night stay at the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost in April 2025. We secured an incredible rate through the Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection program, which offered "3rd night free" and included many complimentary benefits such as "room upgrade if available", daily free breakfast for 2, early check-in/late check-out if requested and others. In addition, being a Accor silver member allowed us to order drinks with a limit of around 40 Euros per each adult per the reservation. CHILD-FRIENDLINESS rating: 5/5. My mission is to stay at hotels to rate how truly "family-friendly" it feels based on what the hotel advertises, and I can truly say this hotel is incredibly child-friendly and probably one of the best ones so far. (Personal opinion). They offer a free bath amenity kit for babies, along with a complimentary travel cot per request, and their breakfast station included a dedicated baby/toddler section which offered local German branded good quality fruit pouches, and snacks for the littles. The take-out coffee after breakfast is a nice touch because when you have littles, it's often challenging to sit for a long time at breakfast and "enjoy the coffee". So having it to go allows me to get my sips of coffee in outside the breakfast restaurant. In addition, they use Stokke Tripp Trapp chairs for baby/toddlers at their restaurant which if one doesn't know, it's one of the best brands of high chairs out there in the baby product market. Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is the pinnacle of child-friendliness. Will 100% stay again. Maggie @maggiexning

I did not stay in the hotel. I attended a networking event . They did not have an issue to look after my luggage during the day.

The front desk staff, Mr Julian is very nice, sweet and make us impressed with the hotel services so much. My mother is sick and he went out of his way to manage to call the dr and set her to meet with the dr in a day. He organized everything so well and very calm. He is very pleasant and out to help. You have a very outstanding and amazing staff. Thank you

Dear team, We stayed with you in September. We felt truly at home in the hotel from the very beginning! The reception was incredibly warm – we immediately felt welcome. The service in the restaurant was incredibly attentive, and the food was delicious. The spa is cozy and perfect for unwinding. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept really well. Expensive but not exactly top value. Convenient location. Don’t expect premium feeling the property feels old and bit dated.

I wanted to use the spa today, but was told that this was only possible in combination with a massage – which, according to reception, wasn't true. The spa staff was also unfriendly, and I was asked for my ID for no apparent reason. Overall, I felt anything but welcome there. For anyone seeking relaxation and a pleasant atmosphere, this is unfortunately the wrong place.

We arrived to the Sofitel Bayerpost after an exhaustive travel day and were greeted by the friendly and accomodating staff at the hotel. Check in was smooth and efficient and once we arrived at our room we were amazed but the size and amenity. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our special occasion making it a most memorable stay. Thank you team.

The employee who receives the car is very bad

We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel over the weekend, and it was fantastic. The service at the reception is highly trained, especially Mr. V. Mitrovic. He was extremely helpful and recommended excellent restaurants and attractions. We've stayed at many hotels, but his honest and competent manner is exceptional, and we immediately felt "at home." Keep it up!!! The cocktails and the room are 10 out of 10. We'll be back!!!

My stay at this hotel was far from what I expected. The first room we were given was extremely worn down, with scratches all over and a generally outdated feel and was not cleaned well. After complaining, we were moved to a different room the next day, which helped slightly but didn’t make up for the overall experience. The staff did not make us feel welcomed , and the attitude throughout the stay was cold and uninviting. On top of that, every time we returned to the hotel, the valet argued with us about parking, claiming the lot was full and suggesting we park at another hotel. Why should I have to park somewhere else when I’m staying with you? Overall, I left feeling frustrated and undervalued as a guest. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience
