Excellent, everything was top-notch, very good service and superb staff and food.

Surprisingly delicious food for a good price. Exceptionally friendly service. A menu with dishes from all over the world, but what we had (German and Italian) was delicious. Definitely worth a stop.

Two of us went there to eat pizza and arrived just as the restaurant had opened. The pizza Capricciosa was bone dry on one side and okay on the other. Unfortunately, the dry side was charred in several places on the bottom, and I had to pick off the black bits. So, ours was exactly what others have already rated here. It didn't taste good; the pizza tasted burnt, even in the uncharred parts. Not good at all. The ambiance wasn't really my thing either; since we arrived just after opening, you could see that the tablecloth still had grease stains from the day before. The price was okay, but not for what you get. These days, you can't go to an Italian restaurant for pizza anymore; you're better off going to a kebab shop... The service was friendly but not exceptionally nice. When asked if it tasted good, I said the pizza should have been turned in the oven a bit. She said she would pass it on. I also tried my companion's other pizza, and neither of us liked it either. We're definitely not going there again.

I love eating here, I'm someone who tries to eat everything and I've never had a complaint.

Very tasty food. Portions are more for those with a big appetite. Excellent service; we arrived at 2:30 p.m. and were still served, although the restaurant was supposed to close at 3 p.m. The decor is a bit dated, but it's the taste that counts.

This is by far the best restaurant we visited during our week in Germany. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff do lovely and friendly.

Absolutely great experience, we visited on the 22nd August and were welcomed personally. The food was wonderful and amazing value for money with a meal of 5 starters, 6 mains, and 6 drinks (as well as a round of free shots provided by the owner) being less than 200 euros. This is the best resturant I've visited, and despite being 700km away, I will make it my mission to return in 2026!

The fish appetizer platter was okay. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't tasty. It was probably a pre-made pizza. Service was very friendly.

Food was very good and plentiful

One of the very good restaurants in Bad Ems. The service is very fast, friendly, and courteous. There should be something for everyone on the menu, and the prices are quite reasonable for 2025. You always have to look at value for money, and here you get value for money. The quality is good, the taste is top-notch, and everyone should be able to leave feeling full. In the summer months, you can sit on the terrace directly on the Lahn River. If it's too sunny, there are umbrellas, but in the afternoon it's shady on the Lahn side. There are a few parking spaces by the church, but there are also plenty of parking spaces on the street under normal conditions. If you like, you can get an espresso on the house after your meal. We can highly recommend the restaurant.

Had dinner there on February 15, 2025. Very nicely located on the Lahn opposite the city center of Bad Ems, very nice ambience, even in February when the weather is cloudy. Easy to find, parking wasn't a problem, it wasn't crowded even on Saturday. Service was very friendly and attentive, the food came very quickly. Excellent in terms of taste and preparation, rarely eaten in such a delicious Italian way. Even the mixed salad was a work of art, which is anything but a given in Italian cuisine. So the bottom line is grazie mille, a very successful evening, we would be happy to come back, absolutely recommended!

Von der ersten Sekunde an fühlt man sich hier wie in Italien – die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich, einladend und authentisch. Die Pasta ist absolut himmlisch, frisch und perfekt zubereitet – jeder Bissen ein Genuss. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die exquisiten Saucen, die perfekt mit den handgemachten Nudeln harmonieren. Aber nicht nur das Essen, auch der Service ist außergewöhnlich: Die Mitarbeiter sind ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und wirklich zuvorkommend, sodass man sich rundum wohl fühlt. We ended up there on a recommendation and had a great meal. We had the medallions with white wine cream sauce. Once with fries like on the menu and once with pasta - I was served tagliatelle with vegetables at no extra charge. The food was really very good 👍

The Lahnterasse restaurant is located, separated from Wilhelmsallee, virtually directly on the Lahn with a picturesque view of the spa gardens and the casino opposite. The food is very good and the portions are reasonable. I was never disappointed with pasta, pizza and fish. The service is very nice and accommodating, Attila the boss works hard and is always available for a nice little chat. The furnishings are a small mix of different styles, yet cozy and charming. The prices are fair and the quality is good👍😊 I always enjoy coming back to eat here.

We wouldn't recommend the Italian. Reserved for 7:15 p.m Drink order was only taken after 25 minutes. Food was mixed, sometimes good and sometimes not really great. Example: antipasti plate with pickles and beans, not really things that belong in Italian. Service wasn't really warm and we didn't feel welcome. Prices are absolutely fine. Main course

Good restaurant and when you can sit at the front window in the evening and look at the illuminated Bad Ems, it's very contemplative. An Italian from the time when you still went there with your mom and dad, which isn't meant negatively, just the charm of back then. Good price-performance ratio, solid cuisine without schischi. We'd love to come back.

The last visit left a bad impression. It is written that the establishment is open until 22:30, we arrived at 20:40 and were refused service, saying that they close at 21:00. This is not the first time I have been there, and the restaurant is quite good, but for this offense you will receive a grade.

The waiter was unfriendly, long waiting times to take the order, no questions asked, spaghetti with tomato sauce was very oily, the vegetables had probably already been marinated in oil beforehand, the small pizza is really very small, the ambience inside is zero, you can't win new customers with that, ok outside , we had to sort out the upholstery of the chairs because they were wet, the chairs were still standing sideways from the rain, the staff wasn't interested, the toilets were nasty, the handle was broken, etc., they lived off regular guests and the view, the price was ok

We ate here on August 1st, 2024. The service was very nice and accommodating. They even prepared a small, off-menu pizza for our daughter. And the food came to the table very quickly after ordering. It was very tasty and we would love to come back. However, the restaurant is a bit old and needs a renovation.

The food was terrible, the risotto had a million onions just like the Ems pizza, the lasagna was okay and the schnitzel was lukewarm. The service staff took half an hour to take our order and were very unmotivated to wait

Waited about 30 minutes until you could order drinks, which were then served incorrectly. The food was devastating. The risotto we ordered was just rice with tomato sauce, when asked: there is no parmesan and we use the same tomato sauce for everything. Unfortunately the pizza wasn't baked through, the lasagna was burnt. We can't recommend it!

Als ich dort zum Abendessen kam, bestellte ich ein Hühnchen-Salat und ein Wasser. Beides schmeckte sehr seltsam. Begonnen mit dem Wasser, das, auch nach der Reklame noch, nach Spülmittel schmeckte, ging es auch danach nicht besser weiter. Alle Zutaten des Salats waren nahezu geschmacklos und hatten einen Geschmack nach Tüte, sodass bei mir der Eindruck entstand, dass dort allerbilligste Zutaten verwendet und dann doch teuer verkauft werden. Nach der Speise hatte ich enorme Magenprobleme.

We wanted to eat there yesterday because we've always really enjoyed it! But yesterday the service staff didn't welcome us in any way, on the contrary, she gave us the feeling that we were disturbing her! We had even made a reservation and she made no effort to offer us a dry place in the initial rain! The service behavior was inadequate! We left the restaurant and went to eat elsewhere...Due to the behavior of this employee, we will (unfortunately) not eat there again!

I would like to give a zero for the food but also for the rude service. The waiter cannot give any information about the food. When you ask, the other person doesn't bother coming to the table, shouts across the room and answers. The food was returned exactly as it came. It was cold and we weren't even asked if it fit. The price on the card was cheaper than what was shown on the bill... Absolute disappointment. Wasted money!

There was no explosion in terms of taste for me, but it was still okay. In short: I've eaten worse, but I wouldn't come again. It is very loud on the terrace due to the street, but you can already imagine that 😉 I had a question about the bill because there were two drinks on it, but I only ordered one. The lady behind the bar came to me specifically to explain how she calculated it (currant spritzer = currant juice + sparkling water). I thought that was very nice 😊 Also that there was grappa on the house 👌

We stopped by to see the city of Bad Ems, we were fascinated by the beauty of nature, the city is located on the river bank, the silence of the streets, the slowly flowing life, the greenery of the trees, the colorful lawns and flower beds, everything is pleasing to the eye, it attracts tourists, there are a lot of them here. We went We came to this restaurant by chance, we got hungry after walking for hours around the city and didn’t regret choosing it, we were served quickly, everything was delicious, they served pasta with different sauces and all my friends were happy, the portions are large, the prices are reasonable, I recommend a visit like this one the city and the restaurant.

The restaurant is very old. The taste of the food was acceptable. Very carelessly done. The rice dish was simply slapped onto the plate and the prawns were the cheapest from Aldi and Co. We expected more from this meal. Spaghetti aolio ordered gnocchi with tomato sauce. It tasted like there had been mushrooms in the pot before. Eine Pizza hat der Teig geschmeckt als wäre er angetrocknet gewesen und dann doch verwendet worden. Spaghetti aolio bestellt und Gnocchi mit Tomatensoße bekommen. Diese Soße hat irgendwie geschmeckt als wäre vorher in der Pfanne/Topf Pilze gebraten worden. Irgendwie hat es nicht gepasst.

We ate a pizza and a carneloni. The pizza had a whole armada of mushrooms on it. The real ones, however, are cold. The ham too. So I know pizza differently. The carneloni was served to me with an artificial mince. To this day I don't know what kind of meat that was. In terms of taste, they have been pushed very high so that you don't notice anything else. Also true a lot of cheese on it. Too much cheese. I don't want to say anything bad about them now, but I've eaten much better carneloni. The ambience is very nice. You can already see it on the street, now it gets interesting. Short and good. Next time we will try something different and then give a new review. Restaurant recommended. I would say yes

A pity!!! We ate there last night and were unfortunately very disappointed. My husband had a "large" pizza (then I don't want to know how small a normal one is). Unfortunately it wasn't baked through in the middle. I had pasta that was absolutely cooked to death and my dish just tasted like nothing. Luckily there was salt and pepper on the table. The restaurant is completely packed with old, dusty furniture and far too much decorative stuff that doesn't fit together at all.

Wenn wir in Bad Ems sind, gehen wir seit etwa 20 Jahren jeden Abend in die Lahnterrasse -- immer wieder spitzenklasse!!! Sehr vielfältige Auswahl, alle Gerichte sehr lecker ! Absolut bemühter freundlicher Service, nettes Ambiente und stimmiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis -- einfach ein Platz zum Genießen !!!!
