Emser Therme in Bad Ems

I visit the Emser Therme every week. Unfortunately it has been very cold in the swimming pool and restaurant for two weeks. I think this is due to the new strip curtains between the indoor and outdoor areas. Unfortunately, visiting the restaurant and the swimming pool (inside) is no longer pleasant for me. Unfortunately, the water temperature in the sauna area is also far too cold in winter. It would also be nice if the calcified shower heads were replaced occasionally. A shower at the garden sauna sprays in all directions. Because of these criticisms, visiting the sauna at the Emser Therme is no longer as relaxing for me.

Wonderful sauna in a beautiful cozy town, swimming pools and staff.

We went to the thermal baths yesterday. We really liked it so far, and the food was also good. However, we won't be coming back because it's not okay for the lifeguards to take our towels from the loungers while we are in the water with our children and for them to then be used by other people. If you charge 91 euros for entry, I expect to also have a lounger available.

Had a relaxing day in the thermal baths. You should be there at 9 a.m. on weekend mornings. Completely relaxed entry and no major queues until around 12 p.m. It wasn't overcrowded inside either.

The thermal bath itself is nice, but quite expensive. When we were there on Sunday it was very crowded. We had to queue, which we accepted. However, the lifeguards constantly cleared away the loungers when no one was lying on them. Of course the visitors didn't like that. In any case, we won't be coming back. They charge entry from everyone, but they don't have enough loungers. If I have to go to the toilet with one child and the man is in the water with the other child, I have to worry that my things have been put away. Eating together is also not possible. This is too much stress for me.

We visited the thermal baths including the hotel from January 17th to 19th, 2025. The room is very nice, with the window open the nearby dam is very loud at night. The wellness area was on January 18th. overflow. It was also not possible to book additional treatments on the arrival date because everything was already fully booked. Luckily we got accounts on January 16th. Book another 1-hour treatment online, starting on January 18th. was canceled by the EmserTherme by telephone (in case of illness). We noticed that many treatment rooms remained vacant - probably due to a lack of staff. We have now paid almost 1,100 euros for 2 people for 2 nights and a total of 3 treatments (1x hammam, 1x oriental bath and 1x full body massage). Looking back, I would say that the quality would need to be improved to justify that €1,100, especially since we skipped the €39/person menu at dinner and settled for cheap €23 food. The quality is not in proportion to what is offered.

No longer meets our expectations. We actually waited in line for 45 minutes. Last year we got in without waiting (even on weekends). The bathing area was absolutely not overcrowded, probably the saunas were. And we waited so long for this with a 1 year old toddler. Leaving guests standing in front of the door for such a long time, sometimes at 0 degrees, is not cool. We also think that over €13 is quite expensive for our son; in other thermal baths, children up to 3 years old or 1 m tall are free. Of course you can take an amount, but we think it's too much.

Yesterday I went to the thermal spa with my 7 1/2 month old daughter. Unfortunately, I have to say that there is only one cabin with a changing table, which is very disappointing (other pools and thermal baths have an average of 2-3 such changing rooms). We had booked a 2-hour ticket and went out 20 minutes in advance to get a cabin and once again this cabin was used by non-parents. And had to pay extra, I told the checkout and was told there was nothing they could do. It can't actually be the case that you pay for two hours of swimming but then have to leave after just one hour because you always have to wait 10 to 20 minutes for a cabin.

Rip off! Don't visit on weekends!! Waiting time at the entrance approx. 50 minutes + 2 euros surcharge per person. Still completely overcrowded. Clearly too expensive for that. 27 euros for almost an hour of queuing and then occupied loungers and pools is not a good price-performance ratio. To be clear: The operators can't help it that a lot of people come and you have to wait a long time. But then ask for 2 EURO more? For what? If I pay a little more for a long film in the cinema, then I get more. In this case, the increased entry price is not offset by any greater benefit. The thermal bath itself is very nicely designed, the bistro offering is very high quality, not the usual swimming pool fries. But as I said, under no circumstances come on the weekend!

I found the thermal baths really nice, even if it was very crowded at lunchtime, which happens often. Admission stopped at 11, so it's worth coming early. Personally, the saunas were a bit too dry for me, only 2 saunas with over 20% humidity. This is of course a matter of personality, unfortunately my body doesn't tolerate the dryness well. I found the selection of food quite poor, especially for a thermal spa, but it was tasty.

On December 30, 2024, the thermal baths were very busy, so we had to wait about 30 minutes to get in. During our stay we use the river sauna, the outdoor pool and the herbal sauna. We also bathed in various pools and enjoyed crispy baked farmer's bread or raclette bread. Overall we really enjoyed the visit and we look forward to returning in April.

I was there with my child. We both enjoyed the four hours. It was our first visit and there is a lot to explore. The large number of weekend visitors did not have a disruptive effect. Tarte flambée and coffee with milk were good, we recommend looking for a free table to eat early at lunchtime. The outdoor swimming pool at 0 degrees has its own charm.😉

Very nice thermal baths, but very expensive.

How was it here? Yeah, no idea. We gave up after about half an hour of searching for a parking space within a few hundred meters.

The thermal baths are very nice. We particularly liked that there is also a 25 m sports pool. This is located outside and had a water temperature of 24.5 degrees. The saunas are good. There are regular infusions. We particularly liked the river sauna, from which you can see the Lahn. Unfortunately it got very crowded on Saturday afternoon. The number of guests exceeds the capacity.

We visited the Bad Ems thermal baths on a Sunday with the whole family (2 adults and 2 children) and overall had a nice day. The entry price of just under 100 euros for 4 hours is not cheap, but it is justified given what is on offer. The bathroom itself is really great - the pools are modern and very well maintained, and there is a nice selection of different areas for both adults and children. We particularly liked the relaxed atmosphere in the thermal area, even though it was quite crowded on a Sunday. However, we would have liked more places to retreat for families, as there are only a few places where you can relax together. The food in the thermal baths was surprisingly delicious, which is not a given in many leisure facilities. The selection was good and the quality was good, even if the prices were a little higher. But definitely recommended for a snack or a meal in between. Conclusion: The Bad Ems thermal baths are a wonderful place for relaxation and fun, especially if you value a high-quality bathing experience. A few improvements in the area of ​​family friendliness (e.g. more quiet areas) would be desirable. Overall, a clear recommendation, especially if you don't necessarily go on Sunday! 4 out of 5 stars.

Actually 3.5 stars! We were there for the candlelight evening. Completely too full for me. And the division is somehow too chaotic. Bistro near the loungers, near the foot baths etc... the bare exposed concrete walls are not my taste. A plus for the great salt sauna and the infusion with singing bowls.

Despite the high prices (parking costs extra), the thermal baths are quite ok, but no comparison to the Mediterana in Bergisch Gladbach. Dealing with guests is, at least in my case, miserable. What really upset me is that my bathrobe and flip-flops were "stolen" from me. Although I immediately informed the staff about this, the only response I received was: This happens every now and then. Call in a few days and maybe things will show up again. After about 3 weeks and listening several times, I received the response that my things (worth €150) hadn't shown up yet and that I was unfortunately unlucky. Since the Emser Therme appears to be a self-service shop, we will avoid this thermal bath in the future.

A very nice thermal bath! I really like the sauna area, good selection of infusions and other offers, the employees are always really friendly and the food is great too :-) Very tasty coffee!

We booked the Turkish Hamman treatment for two last night and were really positively surprised. The treatment lasted 1.5 hours and was a great mix of cleansing, care and relaxation. The two employees were also extremely friendly. You're happy to give 5* for that

I wanted to really relax again, but unfortunately I had to wait an hour in front of the entrance and freeze. I liked the sauna area, but after 6 p.m. it became so crowded that there was no longer any thought of rest or enjoyment, swimming in a relaxed form was not at all more possible but the river sauna was a real hammer

The tone of the staff at the restaurant is terrible. Without a seat, there is no food, the choice of tables is extremely limited, so you really have to fight for the table. You pay a lot of money for relaxation and get the opposite. PS: Apple pancakes for children, two pieces, frozen food, not even freshly prepared - €8.70. This is beyond outrageous!!

Not recommended if you want to relax on vacation. Otherwise everything was clean. Food also very tasty. Sauna area invites you to relax. If so, be there early. Otherwise long waiting time at the checkout.

Were there over the holidays and wanted to have a nice wellness vacation. It reminded us more of a water park in the Ruhr area. Completely overcrowded, screaming, raging children jumping off the edge, with some parents showing them how to do it or encouraging the children to do so. The lifeguards are mostly busy clearing the loungers in the front area because this is probably too difficult to understand for some clients. But the lifeguards should also dare to go a step further just as often to the hot pool, which is used all day by certain predominantly male people. Photographs are taken, filmed and once you've managed to get a spot, you're essentially pushed out. You book the hotel for good money and can't enjoy your visit to the thermal baths.

We spontaneously went to the thermal baths for the first time today and didn't regret anything ☺️ We drove for 1.5 hours and were initially worried because the journey would exceed the capacity of the facility. The entire facility is beautifully designed, modern and high quality. Which I personally really liked. Lots of wood. Please be sure to praise the employees! Incidents in the sauna area, all the rules were implemented, someone had a cell phone in their hand, Zack warning, infusions fantastic, looked helpless? You were spoken to! Big fat praise ❤️ A really successful day! We still have ideas to add a cherry to the cream: ⛱️We were overwhelmed and helpless at first - we would have liked a map of the respective areas ⛱️Expand the gastronomy offer in the sauna area or rethink the thermal spa area. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for a table and without a table we couldn't order food (I thought that rule was great!) We visited the sauna world on December 19, 2024. We were not satisfied with the sauna staff in almost all infusions. They gave the impression that you didn't know what you were doing. Only one employee pointed out to the guests that they should put towels underneath and carried out the infusion perfectly. We were there all day and unfortunately not much has changed. We contacted the operator in writing and also received written and verbal feedback that there are a lot of new employees who probably still need to be trained. We think that with an entrance fee of 36 euros per person, you can expect a lot more. The loungers could also be replaced again, some of them are sagging and you can feel the struts. Unfortunately, it wasn't a relaxing, beautiful wellness day.

I was very disappointed with my visit to the Bad Ems thermal baths. After just 5 minutes I was shocked by the volume: children were extremely loud, wore diving goggles in the pool and created a crowded and restless atmosphere. Even in the quiet area, the screaming from the lower floors could be clearly heard - relaxation was impossible here. The hotel is excellent, but the thermal baths themselves were a complete disaster for me. From a place of rest to a monkey enclosure – never again Emser Therme! I have been visiting the Emser Therme for over 10 years and have always valued it as a place of peace and relaxation. But what I experienced on my last visit was the exact opposite. It's pure chaos and it seems as if there are no rules anymore. There is loud screaming in all the pools, water is splashed around, and visitors jump in without care. It feels like a fun pool, not a thermal spa. The behavior towards women is particularly unbearable: my wife was constantly stared at and the atmosphere was simply unpleasant. It seemed as if some guests were using the thermal baths as a meeting place for flirting and self-expression rather than for relaxation. The pools are overcrowded, the noise level is unbearable and the staff does not intervene. It feels like a monkey enclosure – loud, chaotic and disrespectful. For someone looking for relaxation, this is an absolute nightmare. Despite having a large balance on my loyalty card, I will never return. That was definitely my last visit. It's just sad how a once beautiful place could deteriorate to such a state. The thermal spa management must take urgent measures if they do not want to lose even more regular customers.

We were in the sauna area on a Saturday. As all the other reviews suggest - it's a waste of money on weekends. The sauna area itself is very beautiful. The river sauna offers a unique panorama. Garden sauna, sound sauna, steam bath and other saunas with temperatures from 57 to 90 degrees are very nice and offer variety. We arrived just after 10 and were already in line. For 2 people we paid €66 for 4 hours of sauna. After a short time, all the rest areas available were already overcrowded or occupied by towel reservations. There is no need to talk about infusions. The catering is ok, but expensive. Drink selection with fresh juices, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks is good. As far as we saw, only ready-made tarte flambée from the frozen food. We left an hour before the paid time was up because the experience had nothing to do with relaxation. It felt more like being in an overcrowded cage.

My wife and I spent a very relaxing and pleasant day there. It is a modern, attractive thermal spa with a great sauna area. The river sauna in particular is a highlight, as are the massages that we were able to enjoy. I would describe the price-performance ratio as very good - even in comparison with other hotels with similar offerings. Above all, the prices for the massages are okay and the dining options are not overpriced either. The situation with the reserved loungers bothered us a bit in the meantime. It felt like 1/3 of the loungers remained unused (when the house was full). We would like to proceed more consistently here. In Sinsheim, for example, it takes barely 2-3 minutes for unused loungers to be cleared away. This is certainly annoying for the staff at first, but it seems that word gets around quite quickly among the guests. Conclusion: Keep it up and please keep it in this beautiful condition!

We were in the thermal baths and sauna park on December 30th, 2024. It was bursting at the seams. We would have to wait a long time for changing rooms. Showering...toilet...it was like going into a "sardine can". That was impossible. Fun, relaxation was not possible. Please do something...You have to regulate the number of visitors. The water in the swimming pool is no longer clean with such an overload. .

We were very excited to visit the Emser Therme today. Unfortunately we have to say that we were a bit disappointed. If you are used to Erding and Bad Wörishofen you should not go to the Emser Theme with the same expectations. Basically everything was clean and tidy but overall it unfortunately had more of the impression of a family fun pool than that of a thermal spa with the aim of promoting relaxation and health. The offer in the thermal baths is also significantly different than in the topics mentioned above. Still 3 stars.

If you ignored the checkout area and the restaurant staff it would be 5 stars. Because the bathroom itself as well as the massages are very well maintained and very good. Despite the incredible rush, you can still find enough space to relax everywhere. Unfortunately, the checkout area and the check-in there are a complete disaster. The queues are miserably long and the speed of the staff is like that of a turtle taking a nap during hibernation. During each visit, the staff cannot manage to correctly calculate the massage time. No matter what you pay at the beginning, in the end you end up having to pay something back, which in the end turns out to be a misunderstanding and incorrect entries in the cash register. The checkout staff are friendly in the morning and overwhelmed in the evening. The machine works every 4th time. Unfortunately, wellness doesn't start at the entrance and ends after showering, because the changing area is also far too narrow and small for large crowds. Oh and the staff in the restaurant is a disgrace. If eggs are missing there, you will be complained that you want eggs for breakfast. You also get complained about when the lady at the checkout makes a mistake and you wait a long time for an order. The kitchen complains against the cash register and the cash register complains against the kitchen. This definitely has to get better. Just like the rolls, which were completely ice-cold on the inside and thawed beforehand. That's unbelievable considering the prices.

Long waiting time. It is not clear to me why it is not possible to introduce a system with numbers so that a woman can see on the Internet how many people are waiting in front of her. Works great elsewhere. Since there are regularly long queues here, this would be urgently needed. Completely incomprehensible why people are literally left out in the cold.

No booking service. The queue and waiting line is insane need 80min+ to get inside. Other therme pools are much better in 100km area.

The place is very good, but they don't have policies for children and families. The wait was terrible, more than an hour. We were 4 adults and 5 children, one with a disability. Nobody helps you or improves the times so that the wait for families is shorter.

Hello, my dears, I have to tell you it is the most beautiful thermal spa I have ever visited so far. How come? Because it is very pleasantly warm, not just in the pool but also outside. You get out of the water and you don't freeze, the water is super heated, so you notice that it's only very rare that the children and babies have an optimal, perfect body temperature. The food? It's super good 5 stars! Super tasty and very healthy! Sauna and also the swimming pool hygiene is top also 5 stars. Own I couldn't complain about anything except I'm the mother of 3 children, it would have been very nice if there had been something for the children too. A play area in the upper area where there is plenty of space or a pool with a slide. Then we would come more often. I have to say the floor and the tiles are extremely dangerous, very slippery 😅. Otherwise, as I said, I can recommend it to everyone 🙏🙏

Always happy to relax in pleasantly warm water. Swimming 🏊‍♂️ in the small sports pool, water aerobics even without registration. Sauna is supposed to be something special, unfortunately I haven't been there yet. Good parking options nearby.

Very nice thermal bath with hotel, highly recommended, come for the second time, really top

Modern and although busy, quite relaxed. We were there on Boxing Day and had to queue - the thermal baths were at full capacity. After a few minutes of waiting we were inside and able to enjoy the water. And even though it was full capacity, it was an absolutely relaxed visit there. The thermal baths are modern and really have flair, everything is very clean and well maintained, definitely a thumbs up for that. If you're there for the first time, you shouldn't be fooled by the map on the homepage. In terms of pure water surface, the thermal baths are not quite as spacious as you might expect from the plan. There are parking spaces for electric cars in the parking garage opposite the hotel so that you can recharge while visiting the thermal spa. The wallboxes have an output of 11 kWh and can be used with a credit card at a fair price of 40 cents per kW.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this thermal bath, as I did a few years ago. The thermal baths were overcrowded one day and the queue stretched to the curb. We visited the thermal baths the following day. We encountered an unpleasant smell in the cabins, the thermal baths were full of children - including in the relaxation area. In the well-known Emser salt inhalation room, inhalation was also saved. The entire Emser Therme system should be rethought and reorganized. In my opinion, Germany has better and recommendable thermal baths. I will not visit this spa again.

That was the last time I was there. Cold coffee, dirty changing rooms and unfriendly staff. Showers were also broken. Relaxation didn't work there.

We were at the Emser Therme again today, December 30th, 2024. It was actually our favorite thermal bath in Germany. We knew it would be crowded during the holidays at the end of the year. What we really regretted was the fact that reserved loungers in the sauna were not cleared away - as before. We pointed this out to the staff twice - no consequences. This creates the impression that this is normal. In some cases there were a third of reserved loungers on both the ground floor and the upper floor that were not being used. We would like the staff to enforce this house rule more so that all guests have a chance to lie down every now and then. Thank you

Absolutely inhumane. The massage appointment was booked in advance (€130), but entry was closed. The massage could not be canceled unless the full amount is paid. No emphasis was placed on finding a solution. After consultation, management lets its own employees down. So we were forced to queue in front of the door for 1 1/2 hours at 0 degrees (!!). The words of the management: “They can do it”. We did it (and found a new thermal bath).

Very good value for money. Relaxed thermal baths with nice, free berths and good restaurants.

We won't be coming back. Unfortunately the staff was overwhelmed with many things. The infusions were already completely overcrowded 15 minutes before they started. There were no free loungers because there is no “ban on reserving loungers” here. It would make a lot of sense to introduce something like that!!! I would have liked to have a beer and my wife would have liked a wine. But it is only available in the area next door, which is unfortunately not understandable. All in all, there are nicer and better thermal baths for this price.

Since we like to keep the last things first, the things we didn't like so much:📯 Despite already high occupancy and visits to the thermal spa, people are still being admitted to the sauna and especially the bathing world. Especially with various swimming aids such as boards, wings, etc. As can be seen from many previous reviews, this is a minus point. A big problem is the seating situation compared to the large lying area. Not only in the thermal baths but also in the sauna area there is a lack of seating for eating from the restaurants.🪑 Reserving loungers for relaxation, especially in the special relaxation rooms, must be strictly prevented in both thermal bath areas. Precisely because it is specifically pointed out. (After talking to the representative in charge that day, he immediately made his way through the entire building to inspect and resolve the situation. Unfortunately, what was seen was not resolved.) What was particularly interesting was that people even put up the beach pegs (in case there is a storm in the building) more than inappropriate by the guests and unfortunately poorly prevented by the staff.👎👎👎 What is particularly unfortunate is the lack of food on offer in the sauna area. In addition to tarte flambée, the selection is rather simple or not at all.😱🍽️🥪 The highlight, the river sauna, also needs another overhaul. The oven cladding was not there. Instead, gas pipes and leftover building materials. Likewise, the view through the windows is not the clearest. Professional cleaning would be urgently needed here. 🧐 The service in the sauna area also needs to work a little more carefully. It's not just the counter that's important, the dining areas are also important. Pushing chairs isn't enough if the table is dirty.🫢 What also belongs to a sauna is a well-tempered swimming pool. In winter temperatures, the outdoor pool serves more as a cooling pool than as a feel-good pool. To do this you have to go back to the textile area, which was unfortunately massively overcrowded.🥶🥶🥶 POSITIVE: Mostly very friendly staff🤗 Very nice location in town 🌿 Great view🌄 The river sauna is a top structural achievement and very beautifully implemented🛟⚓ Modern atmosphere🕯️ Furniture and furnishings are in good or best condition🥇 Great spa area🎎 Beautiful infusions 🥵🔥 For the most part, the facility is clean and the outdoor area is spacious and well maintained. Today I went to the thermal baths and sauna for the first time. Lots of different pools in the thermal spa area, everything very modern and clean. Personally, I miss a high-percentage brine pool. The sauna area is clear, but very stylish. Apart from the river sauna, the infusions in the garden sauna are also recommended. Nils deserves a positive mention. I'll definitely be back.

It's a shame there are no more reservations like there were during the Corona period, that made a visit more relaxed and guaranteed. It should be reintroduced.

Great thermal bath - sauna + thermal bath simply great

We go there regularly to brush up on our Turkish. Nice location but mostly unpleasant atmosphere 😕 The food is very tasty, but there is a lack of seating.

The parking garage is very narrow and not particularly inviting. It can sometimes take a while at the checkouts but the employees are very friendly. I really like the small lockers for valuables at the checkouts. The changing rooms are relatively small but enough for one person and it is also pleasantly warm. Unfortunately, during my visit, there were a lot of loungers covered with towels but no one was lying on them. The floor is very (!) slippery. I was there for 3 hours and only saw a woman wiping once. Be sure to take flip flops with you, I slipped several times. The water temperature is very warm, I loved it. I was there during the week and it was a bit full. Some children jumped off the edge of the pool and were very loud, unfortunately the lifeguards just watched, many were visibly annoyed. There are lots of pools and the steam room and salt room are really nice extras. We didn't visit the restaurant based on the reviews. The showers have private cubicles, which I thought was really great. You can blow dry your hair for free. I would definitely come again.

We spent our wedding anniversary on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 in the thermal baths and also booked a treatment. The treatments were at 10 p.m. and 10:45 p.m., so we left the pool when it closed at midnight. Unfortunately, I forgot my hairdryer and didn't notice it until the next morning in our accommodation, not far from the thermal baths. When I called the thermal spa when it opened on Sunday morning and was told that my hairdryer had been found, I immediately went to pick it up. When I arrived at the spa completely cold and with a wet head wrapped in a scarf, I got my hairdryer and politely asked if I could blow-dry my hair briefly, as I had almost been to the spa the evening before and it was 2 degrees outside and I didn't have to go home for 60km with a cold could drive. The head of department, on the other hand, insisted on the house rule and forbade me to dry my hair and didn't let me use the in-house hairdryer, so I was forced to look for sockets in the toilets in the basement. Due to my health condition, I allowed myself to plug in my hairdryer and dry my hair for 2 minutes when the lady then followed me to the toilet and spoke down to me as if I were a minor who was currently being disobedient. For such a respected and expensive thermal spa, I find such behavior on the part of the department manager to be very stubborn and, above all, very unfriendly to customers. I appealed to her humanity and compassion, which the lady unfortunately didn't even begin to possess. Unfortunately, a very sad ending and an even more disappointing response. Maybe the management staff should be trained better. A complaint was also reported to the managing director, who apologized for the employee's behavior and would speak to the employee. Another very disappointing response to a complaint. Apparently this company doesn't really value customer friendliness, long-term customer loyalty and orientation. Too bad!

The thermal baths offer a lot of variety. We particularly enjoyed the steam bath in the thermal spa area and the brine inhalation. The 36 degree pool was also very convincing. The sauna area is very comfortable and the river sauna was a real highlight. You really are on the water and have a really great view. Otherwise there were a few other saunas. Unfortunately there is no herbal sauna here. This would be worth considering. Unfortunately, the smell of the steam bath in the sauna was not convincing. The tiles in the bathroom are simply too slippery. I almost slipped several times. The cleanliness of the toilets isn't particularly good either. There is a lack of cosiness in the thermal baths area. There are no plants and it looks very much like a swimming pool. Unfortunately we couldn't eat anything there because there was never a free place. More seating options should be created. We would have liked to eat there. Otherwise, we liked it overall. Nothing will change, but we probably won't be back.

I was in the sauna at the thermal baths in September and I have to say it was more than fantastic. Great relaxation areas, great variety of saunas without being overwhelming, beautiful sauna bath with great drinks, simply fantastic. I've been to over 20 different sauna areas all over Germany, but the thermal baths in Bad Ems are really worth seeing and a real highlight. The best thing for me were the well-thought-out infusions that perfectly matched the mood. The highest level of professionalism combined with a lot of emotion is simply an amazing combination. I would particularly like to highlight and praise the sauna master Saskia, who combined a witty and relaxed atmosphere with peace and great infusions. Thank you very much, dear Emser Therme team, for this great day!!!

Were there on the weekend, so it was quite crowded. Unfortunately, prices have become so expensive everywhere that hardly anyone can afford it anymore. We paid around €100 for everything (3 hour ticket + a small lunch snack for 2 adults with a small child and a park ticket). To the thermal baths or sauna area. What really bothers me is that hardly any thermal spa (apart from the Rhein Main Therme in Hofheim) has a warm pool for swimming or a whirlpool. Then you have to get dressed again and move back to the other area. This is super annoying. I can't understand.

Were on December 15th. The journey here from Heidelberg was worth it. Nice staff, very good infusions, good gastronomy. It was very full, but we found a place in every infusion. Will definitely come again. keep it up!

The thermal baths are great, I can't complain. Unfortunately I give the restaurant zero stars. The employee at the checkout who served us around 4 p.m. was not friendly and not polite, not a good day or let alone what you would like to have. Order placed. They prepared an order incorrectly. I said straight away that we didn't order it that way and the "polite server" told us that we ordered it that way, which wasn't true when I pointed out to him that I didn't want it and that He wasn't supposed to book the money back BECAUSE we ordered like that, he said to me and suddenly he got another colleague who was supposed to clarify it with me. At the end of the story the food was taken back and the money wasn't refunded and I still had to pay for the new order. What I also didn't like was that the "polite operator" made a loud announcement to his colleagues in front of customers. We won't eat there again with such service. I think it's a disgrace.

Very nice sauna and thermal baths. Great staff, the infusions are made very well and are definitely quite something. There is a large selection of freshly squeezed juices at the counter. Ambience is also great 👌🙂

My girlfriend and I went there last week and loved it! The full body massage was very pleasant and there are many different baths, nice and hot too! The 4 hours went by very quickly because you can experience a lot. We'll be back!

I think you can spend a nice day here I found the steam bath in the swimming pool positive. The exercise pool in the sauna area. Easily find a lounger. There was no need to reserve one with the towel. The culinary offering was sufficient and reasonably priced. There was also something for vegetarians on offer. Our food was delicious. We also found parking in the parking garage with a daily rate of €5 to be adequate. Improvements for my taste would be that there would be some clocks in the relaxation areas, especially in the sauna park. I also missed this in salt inhalation when a maximum of 15 minutes is recommended and then there is no clock. At the sauna bar there is a door in the seating area that always opens fully automatically when in use. The cold draft bothered not only me but apparently all of the guests staying there. Perhaps this could be remedied with an emergency door sign or something similar. There are other doors nearby that you can use. I also didn't like why there are no lids on the toilets because of the aerosols that are well known after Corona and which then spread everywhere in the area when you rinse. Otherwise they were clean. Parking for spa guests would of course be more exclusive if it were free. All in all: I definitely recommend spending a day here. Would come here again.

The thermal baths are nice, especially the sauna area and the relaxation options. The food is more than delicious, super large portions and high quality. The only point of criticism is that two employees were unfortunately very unfriendly (both to other guests and to us). At the end of the stay you were “kicked out” by a lady in an inappropriate, unfriendly tone of voice. The rest of the employees were super nice.

Get a 2 hour ticket by booking a hotel in the package. I then spent the whole day there for an extra charge. Swimming pool and sauna area very nice.

My husband and I went to the thermal baths on December 1st, 2024 and we were very satisfied. The water was at a great temperature, the food also tasted good, everything was clean and not too crowded. Yes, there were a lot of small children or babies there, but it wasn't loud. So we were able to enjoy our stay. The staff was attentive and nice. We would like to come again.

The thermal baths are generally used for short-term relaxation, but what they offer is perfect for that. Be it the pools at different temperatures, the salt cave or the steam bath, very good and already included in the entrance fee. There is an outdoor pool for swimming. Access is also easy for people with disabilities. The prices in the cafe/bistro are reasonable. Staff consistently friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of parking spaces in the area.

If you have ever been to the Badewelt Sinsheim or Euskirchen, the infusions here are unfortunately just a tragedy

Highly recommended to have short distances but no fries.

Unfortunately, I no longer find the sauna to be as relaxing as it used to be. The problem isn't so much the thermal bath itself and I'm having a hard time categorizing it correctly. For me, the background is more the concept of the “rest room”. According to my personal definition, this actually means "Open the door > No word!". What I'm not particularly interested in is whether a couple says to each other, "That's where?" and then done... In general I find it difficult to "complain" about the details, it's more the general thing. More like feeling, open the door, babble, sit down, babble here and there for a moment, the newspaper crunches happily away behind you. There are a lot of things that you don't want to blame in detail. But lately, and unfortunately this week, it's extremely extreme, lots of little noises, whispering, silence, then more whispering... Especially when you've nodded away for a moment and are brought out again. Unfortunately, it's a "development" that I've been observing for a long time and I don't know what you can tell the organizers so that they can explain things in a different way and not just with a finger on their mouth and the word "rest"? The only question is whether it helps, and I don't want to "blaspheme" when people whisper about it, even if it really annoys me personally. Unfortunately, I can only say for myself that my definition of the rest area does not help me to relax. Unfortunately, this week I was so un-relaxed that after 2 hours I drove home completely annoyed and frustrated, not as a "new person", but rather as un-relaxed, with no need for an infusion... Or is my definition of quiet area wrong, "Open door > QUIET!"? And no, so I don't say "Darling there?" "Yes, I'd love to" sentences... Or the fizzy water bottle you drink from, although funnily enough it's "more" annoying to open it slowly than to simply open it and drink normally. ;)

Cute little spa, lots of different pools. The aromatic oil massage (described online as a massage with “gentle and calm touches”) was simply more than unpleasant for me and my companion. There is no mention of gentle and calm grips. It was like the physiotherapist's - quick movements, painful and with a lot of pressure. The knuckles were pressed into the back/neck, and too much pressure was even applied to the legs and feet. (By the way, there's nothing online about it being a full body massage). The massage was just painful and despite the request to apply less pressure, it continued to hurt. After the massage I had persistent shoulder and back pain. Very careless! It doesn't work at all! So we spent €130 leaving the spa in pain. No trace of rest and relaxation.

All well and good, but it requires more space

Unfortunately a bad review today, although we always like to come because the thermal baths are very nice and modern. At the checkout of the shop I was initially told with wide eyes that the swimming goggles cost 25 euros (with my tattoos I don't look like I could afford them 😂), at the entrance we/my son were told off for the swimming noodle is not allowed for hygienic reasons and this is not a fun pool. My 11 year old son also came to relax and not for fun. He knows very well how to behave in a spa and only uses the noodle as an aid. However, the hygiene leaves a lot to be desired as soon as you enter the cabin area, it ALWAYS stinks of feces. And when we got to the bathroom there were children with swimming rings, Barbies, pasta, watering cans and even balls. So much for the topic, you should probably rethink your regulations! Hopefully these kids didn't have fun either! That's not what the thermal baths are for! Water aerobics with noodles was also offered, so it's ridiculous that you weren't allowed to borrow one there either. There was more than enough space as it wasn't very crowded, no one would have been bothered by this noodle! Well, we pulled our son, who isn't quite confident in swimming yet, through the pool! 🤷‍♀️ Above all, I was upset by the absolute unfriendliness at all the checkouts and the ridiculous behavior of the lifeguards, who see their biggest job as throwing towels from the loungers even though they are not even close to being occupied. Also a great regulation of the thermal baths 🤷‍♀️

Really great thermal baths. When it comes to saunas, there is perhaps a little more choice in Rhein Main, but the thermal bath area is absolutely brilliant, a steam room with herbs, a cold and hot pool, a salt inhalation room and red seats, perfectly round off the classic indoor and outdoor pools. In addition, the thermal hotel can be reached via a bathrobe corridor, simply great

Friendly staff, clean facility, pleasant temperatures. Many opportunities to find peace and relaxation. It would be nice if the vegetable juices from the sauna area were also available in the thermal spa area.

Yesterday (Sunday) I was in the Emser Therme all day. Since it took us 1.5 hours to travel, I wouldn't recommend the thermal baths alone. But with a sauna together. As expected, the thermal baths were very well attended on a Sunday in November. Relaxation was out of the question in the thermal spa area and there wasn't much space to relax at the edge of the pool. The thermal spa is beautifully laid out, has many different pools, a few things that you don't see otherwise (inhalation room, rain shower with thermal water, hot water pool...) and a great restaurant. The selection here isn't huge, but it's enough, and if you like it, it's healthy and fresh. We had a wrap for lunch, which we thought was okay in terms of price and tasted good. The bathroom itself is self-service. In the evening we sat down again at the exit in the restaurant (it's more like a swimming pool bistro, which I don't mean in a derogatory way, but just as a classification for the ambience), where service is also served. We all had a bowl, which was also very tasty and the service was very friendly. The sauna area was also very busy but it was spread out quite well. At the beginning we had to let them know that we couldn't find a lounger to rest after the sauna session. Other guests had reserved loungers with towels and apparently thought they were entitled to these loungers all day. The employee then distributed notes on the loungers stating that the loungers were not allowed to be reserved (for anyone who had missed the large sign at the entrance stating this) and if the towels were not removed, the staff would put them in the boxes provided become. There are enough shelves, hooks and baskets in which you can put your things. After an hour we were given loungers to rest on for the rest of the day. Cell phones are prohibited in the sauna area and this ban is enforced and guests are informed if they are using cell phones. I think it's great. There is also an offer of food and drink in this area, but with a significantly smaller selection than in the thermal baths. But what they have here that was really great are freshly squeezed juices. Super tasty and highly recommended. The facility here is also beautifully landscaped and with the panoramic sauna you also get something that is unique. There is generally everything you are used to in terms of sauna. Of course you had to be there in time for the infusion. But sauna goers are used to this when there is a lot going on. I would also like to mention that the staff were consistently professional and personable. I also noticed that the water was clear everywhere, which is unfortunately not a given in every thermal spa given the crowds. I would still like to raise one negative point as a criticism of the sauna. One relaxation room is located directly on the passage that leads outside. Anyone who really wants to close their eyes and relax there will feel inner hatred because the constant opening and slamming of the door becomes unbearable. So try it in a different area. Additional tip: take flip flops with you. The floor is slippery. Parking in the parking garage costs €5 all day. I can live with that. Tip to the management: You can drive in even though there are only reserved parking spaces available. We were unsure whether we would be allowed into these parking spaces and had to wait until someone left. Since other cars were also looking for a parking space, it was a bit stupid and, above all, narrow. Despite the criticisms, the positives clearly outweighed the negatives and we had a relaxing day.

Beautiful, modern thermal spa with everything you need for relaxation. I can especially recommend the river sauna. Unfortunately we were there on a rainy, cloudy day. If it had been sunny, the outside area would have been even better. I don't know what the first floor in the sauna is supposed to do. Hopefully the thermal baths will remain in as good a condition as they currently are and will be kept at that standard through proper care. The thermal baths were well filled despite it being a weekday

A really nice thermal bath with good food to really unwind... if it weren't for all the children. No, I have nothing against children in principle, but when you pay a lot of money to relax there and have a lot of screaming around you like in a water park, it puts a damper on your mood. Perhaps child-free days would be a suggestion, as is the case in some other thermal baths (unfortunately very far away). Food is always great, friendly staff

Actually a nice thermal bath. Unfortunately the lounger situation was terrible on my last visit. All loungers in the swimming and sauna area were permanently reserved with towels. Accordingly, you couldn't lie down once throughout the day. Unfortunately, none of the employees took care of it either.
