A nice place to relax. The food was great. Waiting time depends on time of day or day of visit. Parking options around the corner.

It's okay, unfortunately I expected more, very small. Sauna area was also manageable.

I recently went to the thermal spa with my partner. Due to the Corona regulation, we had to wait a bit before entering. But that was completely fine. Unfortunately, other people waiting did not adhere to the minimum distance and the applicable mask requirement. I would like to see staff positioned in front of the entrance to check things. The thermal bath itself makes a well-kept impression. The outdoor area with the river sauna is a real pleasure, it's just a shame that you can't hear the sound of the river a little. I have to give a big shout out to the staff in the sauna area. Sauna guests entered the sauna wearing clothes (swimming and bikini bottoms). When I pointed out that this was not permitted in the sauna, they did not respond. When I left the sauna cabin and told the staff, I felt my concerns had been taken seriously. The staff immediately went into the sauna and approached the guests and explained to them the sauna rules from the corresponding sauna. The only point here is that it would make sense to point out again before the sauna entrance that saunas can only be entered unclothed and wearing a sauna towel. I'd love to come back. Addendum 10/24: We went to the thermal baths with children these days. The thermal baths were around 40-50% full at the time. It is inexplicable to me why such a large inventory is designated as short-term loungers when it should be clear to the operator that the majority of guests stay there for the day and are not willing to first put away their clothes and then move on to other loungers after each bath seek. There is a need for improvement here.

The restaurant is negative 👎 Tables are reserved and I didn't even see anyone sitting for at least 2.5 hours😡 you can (somehow) reserve tables, when we had one a reserved sign was put up while we were eating (so that no one sits down after us. Noodles are ok But the tarte flambée (bacon and onions) was a disaster. We gave it back after two bites and reported it to the kitchen. There was no money or % returned. Recommend eating outside.

We went to the Emser Therme for the first time today and there is no reason for us to visit the thermal baths again. The floor is extremely slippery everywhere and unfortunately I slipped while going down the stairs, which resulted in knee pain. Unfortunately, I wasn't the only person, we saw several people there (including children) who slipped and injured themselves. An employee told me that the floor was recently resurfaced. You could place rubber mats or something similar in critical places (e.g. at the bottom of the stairs). We were there on a Sunday, which resulted in a well-filled thermal bath and sauna world. There was only an infusion once an hour and it was overflowing every time. You had to be there at least 10 minutes early to even get a seat if you didn't want to wait another hour for the next infusion (which was also often late). We had considered celebrating New Year's Eve there before the visit. But since I wouldn't like to start the new year with injuries, we'd probably better leave it alone.

There's nothing to complain about, the water is at a great temperature and the thermal baths are very clean. The employees are very friendly and you can tell that they have fun with the customers. To have a nice day. I only find the prices of 30 euros for a day ticket to be sporty, but these days there seems to be no other option

Today we were in this beautiful thermal spa for the first time - Sunday and holiday. The parking garages were full (they are already small) but there was still a parking space. Our con in advance: - no deeper pool - It's not possible to swim inside because the pools are rather small and many kids just jump into the water. - Lifeguards were rather inconspicuous or only in their cabin. - The salt inhalation was so gentle that you didn't feel it at all (maybe you imagined something else) - The air temperature was a bit too cool for me BUT ❤️ + this enchanting view + perfect water temperature + the area of ​​rest + the great holiday shower + Despite the fact that it was so full that one entrance was blocked, I was able to relax. Conclusion If you are looking for peace and relaxation, you have come to the right place. My husband, who likes swimming and diving, found it a bit boring and expensive.

Went to the thermal spa area with friends: Very well maintained and clean rooms! There is something for everyone and you can relax here for a few hours and recover from everyday life. I also think the long opening hours on Friday and Saturday are great. If you are traveling in Bad Ems or nearby, you should add it to your excursions😊

Very nice thermal spa with great gastronomy! Sauna area also highly recommended. The river sauna with a view of the Lahn is one of the highlights! The only drawback is that you have to be in the sauna at least 10 minutes before the infusion to get a seat.

The river sauna in the Lahn is worth visiting in any weather. The soothing sound of the weir opposite and the herons waiting for prey form the perfect backdrop for cooling off after a session in the infusion sauna.

Went to the thermal baths on Sunday. Nice sauna very clean. The staff friendly. The river sauna is beautifully done. The food selection is clear. We wanted a wheat beer with our meal. In the sauna area there was only non-alcoholic wheat. My husband had to go over to the bathing area and get the beer ourselves (we thought there was draft beer there but no, only bottled). Why can't bottles of beer be served in the sauna area? The floor is extremely slippery (life-threatening). For 5 hours, two people, two wheat (beer I got myself from the bathing area) and a tarte flambée 110 euros I think is steep. Best regards Pohl

The thermal spa itself is nice, which is why I had previously rated it better, but now my wife and I had booked a day with a massage! And that's exactly where the problem begins if you book a full body massage then I would like that too and not just legs back and neck ok very briefly also the soles of the feet but it wasn't worth mentioning! But, for example, poor people were not taken into account at all! Well, the worst thing was that it didn't really feel like a massage but more like stroking! I have to say that I really liked the atmosphere, but I'll probably go somewhere else if I want to have a nice day with a massage!

Fabulous. A very complete spa complex. We were only in the hot springs area in summer but we were great. When you enter they put a bracelet on you and what you spend inside is added up, if you eat something or have a treatment. And you pay it at the exit. Without any of that they are also very good. We did not buy the tickets in advance because we wanted an offer to pay for 2 hours and stay for three hours, which they have on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting at 5 pm. We parked at the hotel next door and it was quite cheap. When we arrived we didn't have to wait long. Fantastic treatment, even if you don't know German.

Was there spontaneously for the first time today. It was really relaxing and beautiful too. Cleanliness was really great. The employees at the checkout were extremely friendly and personable. Price was okay too. On a whim I took part in the water gymnastics which is free twice a day. I had the feeling that the employees weren't quite as motivated now (we're all just human, everyone can have a bad day) but didn't find it that exhilarating now. Three hours was enough. You can do it.

Everything is very modern, beautifully designed and clean. For me personally, however, there were too many children in the thermal baths and too few loungers inside the thermal baths/sauna. Above all, it's a shame that there are mainly armchairs in the fireplace lounge. Otherwise, I found it annoying that you could hear the noises from the bistro in the indoor saunas. So it wasn't really relaxing for me personally. I don't think it's ideal to have only one employee sitting at reception on Saturdays (who definitely couldn't handle everything at the same time).

Wellness should actually start at the checkout, unfortunately not in Bad Ems :-(. Long waiting time when checking in and out. Staff in the checkout area were unfriendly and overwhelmed! There were 6 of us in the thermal baths on Sunday and spent over €500 with treatments and a visit to the bistro. Except for the checkout area, that was it There is also an urgent need for further training in the sense of a customer-oriented appearance!

A nice thermal bath, we liked the various pools and also the salt cave, although there is no clock. In general, you could install 1-2 clocks in the bathroom. We felt that the temperature in the entire building was too cool. The restaurant is fine and the staff was very friendly. 😶‍🌫️

We stayed at the thermal hotel over the weekend and were looking forward to a relaxing weekend. The positive first, there is a good selection of pools and saunas. The infusions and promotions such as peelings are also numerous and good. There are free infrared chairs and a free salt room. There are also many loungers that don't cost extra. Care is also taken here to ensure that these are not reserved continuously. There is a large selection of massage jets and bubble seats/loungers in the pools. Now for the negative points. If you want to eat something in the restaurant, you first have to queue for the tables, as the number is very limited (12 tables). It's easy to feel stressed while eating because the next ones are waiting for you to finish. The floor is very slippery, so be sure to take bathing shoes with you. The biggest negative point for us was (unfortunately) the many children. That sounds very intentional, but it is less the fault of the children themselves and more the fault of the parents. A thermal bath should be for recreation and relaxation, but here it is confused with a fun pool. Children were constantly jumping off the edge of the pool (even if there was someone there), playing water polo, being left unattended in the water, or even being dragged into the steam room and then screaming. We understand that the children get bored in the thermal baths, but why not go to a fun pool with a diving tower and slides. We're really patient, but at some point I left the spa because I was just annoyed and couldn't relax at all. It should be clearly regulated here that there are 1-2 family days and otherwise entry only from 16, as you will definitely lose a lot of customers that way.

We visited the Ems Therme for the first time today, the first disappointment was that it is not suitable for campers, no parking spaces, but it was a positive thing - the staff at the registration desk were very nice. It informed me that there is a larger parking lot on the outskirts of the city, which I would like to emphasize, but that alone is not what it is supposed to be because in the thermal baths we found that the first two rows of loungers are only used for a short time may. Then the lifeguards come with bodies and simply throw the bathers' things into the basket, even though other loungers are free. They come up with the excuse that we have to do it, that's instructions from the management, we ourselves lay on the loungers 5 times in 2 hours That wasn't enough. They then wanted to throw our things into the head. You also have to assume that people have valuables with them. Even the lifeguard doesn't care about that, even if it gets away. I think this is a bottom-drawer approach. That's not how you deal with bathers and tourists around. As campers, we have already visited a lot of thermal baths and we have never encountered anything like this before. After a heated discussion with the lifeguard, we were even told that if we didn't hold back, he would use his house rules and throw us out, in my opinion not good. Of course we won't be going to this thermal spa again and I can only warn every camper to go to this thermal spa - it's not worth it, especially us campers, we're used to something better and not something like that. And in addition, we would have to say the entire route there to this thermal bath, we constantly read that you are a new person in two hours, you really have to say that you really are, because afterwards you are annoyed and annoyed that you spent money on such crap has

We were in the thermal baths today, September 28th, 2024. It wasn't the first visit but it was always nice. Everything is very well maintained. Kudos to the lifeguards!!! Even with very unpleasant guests (who throw baskets, get rude and have absolutely no decency) they remain calm and friendly, albeit direct. We love being guests here very, very much the thermal baths and know how to implement rules in contrast to other people.

The theme is beautiful. The sauna area with the river sauna is very special. Unfortunately there are very few loungers. All loungers in the thermal spa are covered with towels, regardless of whether someone is taking a sauna or bathing. That's a shame, it's hard to recover. For the high price I'm disappointed.

Very nice hotel! We were at the Emser Therme from Fri-Sun and were very impressed. Breakfast was great, as was dinner. - You could say better than the buffet on an all inclusive holiday. The rooms are very stylishly furnished, cozy and very clean. The other areas of the hotel are also well maintained. We didn't use the swimming area, so I can't say much about it. Overall we were very satisfied and would love to come back.

The facility is very nice, the size is pleasant. There are 2 wonderful saunas built on a building into the river. The saunas have a great view of the water. In the garden there is an infusion sauna with an hourly program. There are additional saunas and a steam bath indoors.

The thermal baths are absolutely overpriced. It is advertised as 6600m2, but a large part is just meadow. The thermal baths are more reminiscent of a fun pool than a thermal bath. The sauna area is also very carelessly designed and nothing special. The infusions are nothing special either. In the spa area/FFK area there are always people in bikinis and swimming trunks. These are not addressed by the employees. For the parking garage you have to pay an extra 7 euros. I don't know that from most thermal baths. We will definitely not visit this overpriced thermal spa again.

Unfortunately I have to revise my 4 stars from 2 years ago. Unfortunately it is no longer an oasis of peace, but a normal swimming pool. It has generally become very loud. The food in the swimming pool is boring in terms of taste and sometimes not seasoned. In the sauna (nudist) area, more and more guests walk around in swimming trunks or bikinis. You also go to the sauna with your bathing suit on. The staff doesn't seem to mind, they see it but don't do anything about it. Unfortunately, things are going in the wrong direction. We're not coming anymore.

There are no discounts for disabled people! My husband has a GdB of 100, there's nothing there! Only with identification letters on the ID card. We're going to Wiesbaden in the future.

I've been coming to the Emser Therme for years. Unfortunately I wasn't able to use the garden sauna last Friday. Each time the doors were opened 20 to 25 minutes before the infusion. Then loud music was played. I think that ventilating for 5 to 10 minutes before the infusion would be sufficient. Otherwise the offer would be even smaller given the small number of saunas. The menu in the restaurant doesn't offer much variety either. Essentially you can only choose between salad, tarte flambée and extremely soft noodles. The daily special is usually just a variation of one of the three dishes.

We spent a long weekend at the thermal spa hotel and also enjoyed using the bathrobe walk to the thermal spa. The thermal baths invite you to relax and the sound of the Lahn is soothing when you lie on the lounger after sweating. The swimming area is also recommended. Something for everyone.

We went to the Emser Therme on a Friday. You could park right next door in the underground car park of the rehabilitation clinic, daily price €5. The thermal baths are well maintained and clean. The outdoor area of ​​the thermal baths was very nice with a swimmer's pool and a pool to relax in. This was at an optimal temperature. The sauna area was okay, unfortunately the smell in this area was very musty and unpleasant. We would have liked a pleasant scent in this area to make us feel comfortable. The highlight in this area is clearly the river sauna, the view from the panoramic sauna was great, and you could also sit comfortably outside. It should also be positively mentioned that there were very attentive staff who also asked people in the sauna area with cell phones not to do this! There were always enough loungers and space. We found the prices in the thermal baths to be expensive, a freshly squeezed juice for €7.20 or a small salad for €16, and we left an additional €56 for food and drinks for two people. Compared to other thermal spas, you simply have to say that this thermal spa is very much designed for rehabilitation and everything is very clean and unspectacular. We wouldn't drive 2 hours again to visit this thermal bath or sauna.

You expect a spa. But you enter a children's play paradise. Busily screaming children jump high into the water next to you. Then a Spa in the Netherlands is of a different level. The Restaurant has mainly dirty tables. Very pleased, very disappointed.

Basically it wasn't a bad sauna day on August 20th, 2024. However, for 36 euros per person I expect more performance than I was able to experience. I also only rate the sauna landscape. This was clean and modern and has a wonderful location on the Lahn. I thought it was a shame that there was only one infusion sauna. Regarding the staff: the staff was late for almost every infusion or even forgot that you were waiting for the peeling in the steam sauna. We also waited in vain for an apology. Especially if you wait 5 minutes in advance to get a seat in the sauna, it is even more important if the infusion starts on time. When I wanted to enjoy the sound sauna, I also realized that it was more of a silent sauna. Only after I spoke to an employee about it was the error in the electronics resolved. When my girlfriend and I wanted to make ourselves comfortable in a relaxation room, we immediately left it alone. The sun made the relaxation room very hot and there was an unpleasant smell of plastic. Unfortunately, the gastronomy in the sauna is not the best either. The freshly squeezed juices are wonderful, but the food is rather poor. The menu only showed tarte flambée, which made me a bit skeptical. It was only when I asked that I found out that the tarte flambées are frozen and are only warmed up for consumption. Something like that is a no-go for me, especially if you have to ask about it first. So we went to the swimming pool to eat sensible food. The food there was also impeccable. All of these inconsistencies lead me to give it 3 out of 5 stars. I'm used to better sauna areas for a lower price.

Very pretty and not too crowded.

The water is nice and warm! It's to enjoy! Outdoor sports pool is not too cold either! There are many loungers outside and inside. Water carousel is fast and lots of fun for everyone! Water aerobics with music and “noodles” is great! Finally - sauna world is simply nice for relaxing. A super day for the whole family!

We have been going to the thermal baths for years and unfortunately I have to say that it has now become a fun pool. It's surprising that so many families with children don't go to the outdoor pool given the expensive entrance fee, as it's still the holidays at the moment and the weather is nice and warm. Swimming is increasingly becoming an obstacle course for children playing and swimming sideways. People were playing with water polo in the exercise pool, and the lifeguard was more busy with his cell phone instead of paying attention. Almost a week ago I drew attention to a broken toilet seat in the women's toilet, the problem has still not been fixed. Guys, that doesn't make a good impression and you should really think about whether you still live up to your high standards.

After we read that it was supposed to be one of the leading thermal spas, we were disappointed; we had already been to a few thermal spas that were really great. In our opinion, we would describe the Bad Ems thermal baths more as a leisure pool, which is why we only give it 4 stars. Staff was friendly, the bathroom is clean. I would also like to say to the visitors that you take your shoes and don't just take some from other people's loungers because you can't find yours anymore and don't put your shoes right in front of the stairs but put them when you go to the pool with your shoes off to the side so that others can also get into the pool without having to step over a mass of shoes. We didn't use the catering service. We were in the area as holidaymakers 2 weeks ago.

I don't know what it's like during the week but definitely not recommended on the weekend, it's too crowded and to top it off there's a 2 euro weekend surcharge. And then the live music is nice, but for me it's just annoying. But food and cleanliness is good. Luckily there are two other thermal baths near Koblenz that are a bit old-fashioned but are a lot cheaper and much quieter.

We were there several times as hotel guests. We noticed that far too many photos are taken with cell phones. Some staff walk past people and ask them to respect their cell phones and others stay in their lifeguard cabin and prefer to chat or show their colleagues their trained upper body. As a hotel guest, you are normally allowed to stay in the bathroom until 10 p.m., but this is not possible after 9:40 p.m. because people clean up loudly, pumps or lights are switched off and the rotating barrier to the hotel was switched off early twice so that you can do anything without having to call staff We also had complaints that we (about 10 people) were all late and couldn't get out of the bathroom.

Expensive but relaxing. Not many kids which is good but sometimes a few kids. There is never trouble with anyone being too loud. Restaurant doesn’t have a lot of options but food is good. Water is pricey so bring your own

Today was our first visit to the Emser Therme and we were thrilled with everything. Starting with the super clean changing rooms and showers, through the various thermal pools, to the delicious food that is also affordable. We will definitely come back.

Nice, but why not put the restaurant in the whirlpool? The restaurant should be covered somewhat. Being constantly watched by people while eating, or conversely being watched while eating, is unpleasant.

I have always been very satisfied over the last few years. However, I think it's a disgrace that the prices are being increased and the water temperatures are being turned down. The water outside was at most lukewarm. What you hoped for: ice-cold air in the evening and lying in hot water and enjoying the whirlpool, as it was all these years, no longer seems to exist. We had to go back inside after 2 minutes because we were freezing. The large indoor whirlpool pool was also far from pleasant. Only the hot pool was bearable. But of course it was completely overcrowded because several visitors obviously felt the same way. In the end we left after 1.5 hours even though we had paid for 3 hours. If you have to save money due to the energy crisis, just raise the price to 25 euros but for God's sake bring decent temperatures back to the pools. In any case, this was the last visit for the four of us. Very unfortunate Furthermore, the thermal spa now looks more like a family fun pool with screaming children instead of a thermal spa that is used for relaxation. Thank God there are still decent thermal baths like in Euskirchen 🙂

The Emser Therme is a beautiful pool with a wide selection of pools. The steam bath and salt inhalation are also located in the thermal spa area. The restaurant offers enough selection of food and drinks. On some days when the pool is busy and the capacity limit has been reached, you have to expect a bit of a wait. It is therefore advisable to buy tickets in advance on the homepage. Parking is available in the parking garage of the hotel and thermal baths and at €5 a day it is unbelievable. From the parking garage it takes about 3 minutes to get to the thermal baths. Overall, you can spend relaxing hours in the bathroom and go home full! Gladly again!

A small but nice thermal spa. Everything you need is there. The food tastes great, the employees are friendly, and they are comfortable. A great lazy river outside! What I miss a little is a salty pool, but that would be complaining on a high level! Recommended!

I actually like the thermal baths with the warmth of the different pools. But for me it is not a thermal spa that is used for relaxation. It should be more normalized as a normal swimming pool because there are only small/children there and there is only children screaming and splashing. Eating there is NOT recommended. On my last visit I had a tarte flambée where I didn't feel well. During my stay today I got a spaghetti bolognese. Now I'm lying at home with a stomach ache. I'm throwing up and can't get out of the toilet. I just feel so bad. The Cola and Fanta were stale. And this was the case every time I wanted to drink something there, the drink was stale. In addition, the risk of slipping is very high. - Whether with slippers or barefoot. It's so slippery. Today I almost fell again because I hurt myself so much and the cleanliness in the changing rooms and the cleanliness of the toilets also leave something to be desired. Tufts of hair everywhere on the women. The toilets are just disgusting. I never wrote a response. But today I'm so angry and it was definitely the last time I was there. I often gave the thermal bath another chance because it was the closest one in the area. That was the last day for me.

We were really looking forward to the day at the Emser Therme. Just relax for a day. In any case, this is not possible in the thermal baths. Noise like in a 5 euro outdoor pool. Peace and relaxation not available. Lifeguards don't care about anything. You can't even have peace and quiet for 10 minutes in the relaxation room. Food mediocre to bad. Stomach problems included. It's really a shame about 100 euros, a day's vacation and travel for the bucket. The Emser Therme seems to be more of a leisure pool than a thermal bath. Once and never again. I can highly recommend the thermal baths! I liked it a lot! The food is delicious, the pools are all clean, friendly staff, and I'm very happy with the fact that there are no fries or sausages! Healthy eating is very important, especially in a spa where you want to relax!

Can no longer be called a thermal bath. You want to enjoy a little relaxation and wind down after a stressful week at work. What you find now looks more like a leisure pool, with screaming toddlers. (Sad) If you get hungry during your strenuous visit there, you will be told that the kitchen is just overloaded. It's a shame, but it will definitely be our last visit there!

We went to the Emser Therme for the first time (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.) on a warm but cloudy Thursday during the summer holidays. Our children are 13 & 16. According to the internet, the thermal baths were 74% full. We didn't have to wait for entry, a free cloakroom or a free shower. So 74% utilization = extremely pleasant. I thought it was great to have free loungers, so you didn't have to look for them and block them. When a great relaxation swing became available outside, the two of us enjoyed a delicious latte macchiato with a view of the Lahn. We enjoyed the following in 2 hours: rain shower, steam sauna (not in the sauna area), cold water pool, hot water pool, swimmer's pool (outdoor area) and the salt inhalation. The thermal baths didn't seem like a fun pool at all and we were able to switch off and relax. Our boys were also super relaxed. There were also very nice staff at the reception, in the restaurant and in the little shop outside. Another thing that should be mentioned are really good hair dryers. In short, I was absolutely thrilled, we were absolutely thrilled. Thanks!!!

Perfect day of relaxation in the thermal baths. There are various pools with water jets. At lunchtime we had a delicious meal there.

We went to the thermal baths yesterday and only used the sauna area, which is why I'm only reviewing the sauna area here. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed because the website gives a completely different picture. On the one hand, I don't really understand the transition area from the bathroom to the textile-free zone, as well as the open area from the restaurant to the sauna area. I also didn't realize that the restaurant employees occasionally make the infusions and then sell food again. Unfortunately, the relaxation rooms don't really have anything to do with peace and quiet. Things are a little better at the top, but there is still room for improvement. What I also don't understand is that people run around in swimwear in the textile-free area, but there are bathrobes or large towels. The saunas themselves were okay, but the surroundings were okay. Since we only found Bad Ems because of a voucher, we probably won't repeat the visit. And what just occurred to me is that a lot of people had their cell phones with them in the relaxation room
