Fantastic view. Delicious schnitzels. Nice staff. Good live music.

We were there today with 14 people to celebrate our birthday. I had concerns due to various bad reviews. First of all - all the staff were super nice and accommodating. For food we almost only had different dishes with special requests. Everything came out correctly and everyone enjoyed it. If there was anything to complain about, it would be that it took almost an hour for the food to arrive. But you also have to remember that there are 250 seats and the manageable number of service staff working their tails off. You have my respect and thanks. It was a great day for us, with a birthday song at the end :) Thank you very much!

Food was very tasty and there were large portions. Prices were also good and there was a round on the house. I can only recommend it, especially as the atmosphere here is very nice.

When we arrived on site, we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a nice ambience! We were warmly welcomed and were able to order relatively quickly. My Lillet Wild Berry came with 5 thick ice cubes and some frozen grapes, instead of berries. This made it taste very watery. My husband had the carpaccio as a starter, I had 3 fried king prawns. Unfortunately these were inedible. They couldn't be peeled and stuck to the shell. What little I got out tasted like rubber. The salad that came with it was swimming in dressing, some of which ran down my mouth. The carpaccio was probably okay, but nothing great either. For the main course we had the chicken schnitzel with homemade spaetzle. We left half of it because it tasted old. The chicken also didn't have a "fresh" consistency, it tasted warmed up and a few days old. The sauce came from a tetrapak and was terribly salty. With the accompanying side salad it was the same game as described above. We decided not to have dessert. At a certain time a live band started playing, so conversation was impossible and we then left the restaurant. We wouldn't recommend it. Too bad.

Food was ok, but was better Service was pseudo-funny and rather erratic. Surprisingly, it was announced that payment could only be made in cash, although it said something different at the entrance. Unfortunately there was a music event that we didn't know about. It was very loud so we couldn't have a conversation. The quality of the music was good but not to our taste and also inappropriate for a normal restaurant visit.

We had a great lunch in a great atmosphere with a brilliant view. Unfortunately we couldn't sit outside due to the weather. Great nice service and above all great food. We had chicken schnitzel, tender and juicy - pepper schnitzel with great sauce and great meat quality - zucchini risotto with mushrooms, super tasty. If you visit Bad Ems, you should take a detour with the Kurwaldbahn, enjoy the view and eat delicious food.

We came to the restaurant today with great expectations of a relaxing evening. The stylish furnishings and promising menu gave us hope for an upscale dining experience, especially since we already knew that the price of the food would reflect these quality standards. However, our stay was significantly affected by the disproportionate noise caused by a single table with two children, whose excessive volume literally dominated the otherwise empty room. Despite the overall quiet ambience, the staff seemed unable to ensure an adequate acoustic balance. This would have been bearable if loud children's music - which had no relation to the rest of the restaurant's concept - wasn't also echoing through the room. The combination of loud children's songs and constant noise meant that not only were our conversations disturbed, but our dogs, who were behaving in an exemplary manner on their blanket, were frightened several times. What is particularly disappointing is that the restaurant itself has potential to be a place for fine dining. The staff is friendly, the cuisine is convincing, but unfortunately this impression is massively spoiled by the acoustic chaos. It's a shame that a single table can have such a negative impact on the entire ambience without appropriate intervention. Given that we were expecting a quiet, relaxed evening, we question whether the price-performance ratio is still justified in such an environment. An unfortunate experience that unfortunately might prevent us from visiting again.

Wonderful view on the terrace. However, we had to wait almost an hour for the very clear portion. The Caesar salad came as a salad with regular dressing. And even when paying we had to wait a long time. Too bad.

We had a Pfefferschnizell for dinner. It was well seasoned, the portion was generous, and the price was right.

According to the tourist office, you could enjoy the surroundings on the terrace. We weren't granted it. The music was too loud and the tables and chairs were cleared away during our stay. An indictment for a brewery. No own beer mats and matching glasses of brewed beer.

Maybe we had a bad day, but waiting 50 minutes for 2 waffles in an empty restaurant is tough. Otherwise they tasted delicious and the view was great too

Anyone who visits Bismarcks will get their money's worth. Dancing with a live band once a month. or "all you can eat" Spare ribs etc.

We ate there for the second time. Back then we had Jägerschnitzel, fried potatoes and salad. Super delicious. The plates were beautifully decorated Yesterday we were there and ordered the same thing. I tried to sit outside. That wasn't great because the furniture was past its best. It was literally falling apart, the backrest probably first. We went in. The young man, the person who served us was super nice. But we weren't convinced by the food at all. There was no sign of the salad. There were very few fried potatoes on my husband's plate. The schnitzel was great, but we really missed the mushrooms. They were countless. The sauce was perfect. It's a shame. Here you can only pay in cash. I know why. I think the Bismarcks brewery needs an overhaul.

The panoramic view is fantastic, but the service and food are not. The outside terrace is not well maintained, there is no good service and the smell from the kitchen and interior is deeply disturbing. A visit from the health department is recommended here.

I spent my birthday there with my children. The chicken citizens were out. The Brauhaus pan was loveless, with burnt potatoes and the onions were missing. We ordered three cocktails, all three were extremely bad. Unfortunately, this will not be our regular restaurant

Ambience great. Eat once and never again! The driest schnitzel I've ever eaten! The fried potatoes were more like chips! Service was attentive.

Extremely bad food. Unfortunately. The restaurant is beautifully located. But that's all. I had a salad with salmon. The salad was swimming in dressing and oil. My husband had a Jägerschnitzel where the breading was thicker than the schnitzel. Never again. Too bad.

We were greeted by a young, friendly but still inexperienced lady and seated at a table on the terrace. We ordered an iced coffee and an iced chocolate. The iced coffee came first. “The iced chocolate will take a while”. ???? Then she came. Both glasses were lukewarm as was the drink. We didn't taste any of the ice cream as it had already melted. The fact that the spray cream was spiced up with brittle didn't make the drinks any better. We complained to the eager waitress. After a while - if there was any - the ice cream and cream were already dissolved in the coffee/chocolate. The still inexperienced but nevertheless very friendly lady from the service explained to us "they had needed so much iced coffee in the morning that there was nothing left". So we were offered lukewarm coffee/chocolate with a scoop of ice cream and a bun of spray cream as iced coffee/ice chocolate. I find the kitchen's behavior brazen if not outrageous. I cannot recommend this restaurant. Two stars for the friendly lady from the service.

We wanted to have an iced coffee and an iced chocolate. In the evening around 5 p.m. The service was very friendly, but noticeably completely new to the job. The iced coffee came first, the drink was lukewarm Then came the iced chocolate, also lukewarm. But we couldn't find the vanilla ice cream (according to the menu). So we asked the young waitress whether there should be a scoop of ice cream in the iced coffee. She did some research and came back after a few minutes with the following information: Yes, the drinks have to have a scoop of ice in them. She was the one too. But there was a lot to do in the morning and there were no cold drinks left, so the iced coffee and iced chocolate were made warm. She made us realize that a scoop of ice cream melts without a trace on the “extremely long” journey from the kitchen to the customer. If something goes out, that's completely OK. If you inform the customer and don't rip them off - that's how I feel: "Excursion restaurant, customer only comes once anyway - so what's the point." The ambience and view are worth the four stars. The service actually 0 stars. 2 stars because the new service was really friendly and helpful. Alex. Beery

The service was very friendly and attentive. However, I unfortunately cannot agree with the very good reviews so far regarding the quality of the food. We both ordered a salad. The salmon salad was described in the menu as having delicious vegetables such as carrots and tomatoes. Unfortunately the salad only consisted of greens and corn. Unfortunately, the salad was completely drowned in the dressing. The lettuce leaves were floating in it and they were already mushy from the dressing. Unfortunately not edible. Bread was only available upon request. When we paid we got a ball of ice cream on the house due to the poor quality of the food. That was very friendly and attentive.

The only thing good here is the great location.

Nice restaurant with friendly service and a beautiful view from the terrace. The cellar's own beer is delicious, as is the food, the Madagascan pan and schnitzel were good, but when it comes to the currywurst I have to say "leave out the ready-made Hela ketchup" it's just disgusting with its snotty consistency, you can have one in a few minutes Make your own currywurst sauce that tastes a thousand times better, and no parsley belongs on a currywurst.

Gastronomy: Schnitzel from frozen with orange breading and meat that is mushy. Size like a mini plaice fillet. Nothing is fresh there. Currywurst was also tasty in terms of snacks. The order was brought without any changes. Food almost cold, fried potatoes lukewarm, greasy and served on cold plates. It's a shame it used to be better. The view can only score points with drinks.

The boys don't seem structured. Ordered a bottle of water and three glasses. All glasses had huge water stains and two of them weren't rinsed clean. Two of the five flavors of ice cream were not available within a week and that in August. Nobody felt responsible for taking used dishes from the table to clear away even though you walked past it several times 'empty'. Actually, the location is certainly a gold mine, but to be honest... there is a lack of a woman... who has the oversight. The boys are disorganized and they don't have an overview. It's a shame for this location. Maybe trained staff would help. The rooms are quite nice. The toilet facilities are nicely done but not clean. There was a lack of paper and you had to use toilet paper to dry your hands. The air from the hand dryer was very hot. There was paper everywhere on the floor and the sink was so wet that you had to use it from a distance to avoid getting completely wet. So get a woman on board who has an overview and can organize and guide her boys.

Great location, the boss was very, very nice and took the time to talk. You sit on the outside terrace with a wonderful view over the whole of Bad Ems and the Lahn Valley. The food tasted great. Special requests were also fulfilled. Thank you very much 🙏

Really great - super tasty and such a beautiful view! The service was super nice and everyone took great care of us. We arrived about 20 minutes after the kitchen closed, but we were kindly offered that we could still get schnitzel. One of the best schnitzels I've had! I can also only recommend the homemade cherry iced tea. We will definitely come here more often!🤗

The restaurant was just perfect for our special day. The atmosphere was romantic and inviting, the staff was extremely attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. Beautiful view of the whole of Bad Ems from the terrace. Fast and friendly service. Delicious food and reasonably priced. Also very tasty beer on tap. We'll be happy to come back.

Nice restaurant with delicious food, friendly service and an amazing view. Went there after the ascent with the Kurwaldbahn and were able to enjoy the outdoor area in the bright sunshine. You can take the Kurwaldbahn up and down, or use one of the many hiking trails.

The food is very tasty and the prices are reasonable. The staff was very nice and accommodating, the waiting time was short and every request was addressed immediately. Why only three stars? Even though the food and the ambience are so good...? Very simple - been there twice and spent a total of two and a half hours waiting for food... No holla, no apology, nothing. Wait once - OK, it can happen, but two out of two you can complain. Both times the brewery was only sparsely attended, so the reason is probably home-made, especially since other guests also had to struggle with the same problem... So - don't go hungry!

The staff was super nice and the food was just as delicious.

Apart from the view, I am very disappointed with the brewery. After waiting more than 100 minutes for the food, it was announced that gaiters would finally take 30 minutes. An explanation or even an apology was apparently not considered necessary. I couldn't rate the prawns because they wouldn't be ready for another 10 minutes. I then left this incompetent location. Never here again!

Very nice location, with an incredibly great view. We just stopped here briefly to have something to drink. You can also take the mountain railway up and down from Bad Ems. In my opinion, the location should be on the list of everyone who visits Bad Ems.

Everything mediocre except the terrace with a fantastic view. The food still had a lot of room for improvement. The sweet potato was only half cooked, the fries even MacDonalds can do better. You get full when you're very hungry, you shouldn't expect anything more. The service was unfriendly and felt like it had to lecture its guests, not very professional.

Drinks came quickly, Mojito without lime…. Food rather poor. Currywurst portion small for the price, mayo from plastic bags, sausage more like a Thuringian. Asparagus 70% cooked, little hollandaise but apparently homemade Baked potato was totally ok! Paying took quite a long time

Were totally disappointed there on May 1st. After 45 minutes of waiting, we hadn't received anything even though it was recorded straight away. Since we were still sitting in the sun, it was annoying. We actually wanted to eat something but we canceled everything and spent our money downstairs in Bad Ems

We went to the May dance last night. The first thing you notice is the terrace with a great view of the Lahn Valley and Bad Ems. Everything else was less beautiful. A visibly overwhelmed, obviously untrained staff that I can't blame, the young girls were just thrown into the deep end. A meal that was of every standard, at a price of over 15€ we simply expected more. Guests who arrived later were confronted with the fact that the kitchen was closed at 9 p.m. An absurdity at such an event.

Great view but...... But unfortunately dirty dishes, no wiped place. The employee's service was a complete disaster. Food was warmed up because it came to the table cold but then it was completely overcooked and not at all tasty. Everything was left standing, but still had to be paid for in full. Absolutely no insight! It was even still discussed. The boss didn't come to the table at first, it wasn't until we asked for him that he told us he wouldn't come to the table for a complaint like that. Tip from me: leave it alone! Despite very positive experiences two years ago! You even had to make a reservation ;-)

The Brauhaus Bismarck's, with its prime location above the enchanting town of Bad Ems, not only offers a breathtaking view, but also an incomparable culinary experience. No beer available, dirty toilets, no card payment possible, food is good. Overwhelmed guests from Arabia. A pity Otherwise it would be a top event and excursion restaurant, just because of the rehabilitation clinics.

Hassan and his team do it really well! There's a bit of room for improvement when it comes to speed, but they make up for it with friendliness and charm. The food was very tasty!!! Price-performance absolutely fine!

I liked the cosiness, the young man in service was extremely friendly and nice. Since I didn't eat there, I can't comment on it. However, I have been told by patients at the Lahntalklinik that the food is good and that they have eaten there often.

The fact that I gave two points for this restaurant was very generous. Inattentive staff, excessive prices. That's my conclusion about the brewery. We don't know a "she" here. You will be addressed directly as “Du”. What kind of behavior is this? For a fries with a sausage and mayonnaise and ketchup from a sachet you pay €10. A children's portion was large on the other hand. The staff also seems really bored with their job. Conclusion: If you would like to sit in an overpriced restaurant, you would like to pay a lot of money for little food, and you would like to be served by listless waiters, you are in good hands there. If you woke up to something else, my recommendation would be to avoid this restaurant.

Catastrophe. 20 minutes of waiting for the waiter from the menu, 15 minutes of waiting for the coffee, and then it turned out that the cappuccino came cold, and the second coffee, instead of Cafe Creme, was also a cappuccino. Another 10 minutes to replace the coffee, and we were still not served the ordered coffee cake. Finally, after the cake was served, we had time to drink coffee. I guess that wasn't the point. I would like to point out that the place was almost empty, only 3 tables were occupied. So the excuse that they have a lot of traffic - in this case it is out of the question. We were hoping to get it all together. The information that you can only pay in cash was on the entrance door, but the door was wide open, so you couldn't read it when you entered the premises. Luckily we had some cash. P.S. You have to check your bills because we were charged two cappuccinos when we ordered something else.

Restaurant on a slope with large windows and a terrace high above Bad Ems with a view of the Lahn Valley. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, when it's really busy you have to be patient, but where in the world is that different?!! The service is very friendly, I've been there several times and enjoyed it.

You have a wonderful view of the Lahn Valley from the terrace. The food is tasty and good quality. The staff is friendly and very hard working. Maybe a little tight on busy days. The employees behind the counter seemed overwhelmed. We didn't get an invoice. It was summarized by hand on a waiter's pad. During our visit only cash payment was possible.
