Bürgerstube in Bad Ems

Very friendly staff and good food. From the outside, the house makes a modest impression that you shouldn't be fooled by. Inside it's a different world. We'd love to come back again.

We ate here at the weekend. Unfortunately, daily restaurant operations were discontinued some time ago, but once a month you can spend a wonderful evening here - if you register in advance. There were three menus on the menu, but you can vary the composition yourself. We liked the food excellently. The ambience is very well maintained, the view of Bad Ems at night is fantastically beautiful and the service is extremely courteous.

Not recommended. The selection is far too limited compared to the competition. I've visited the Claudius Therme in Cologne several times before, and given all the advertising surrounding the Emser Therme, I had high expectations. I was bitterly disappointed—I can't describe it any other way. The atmosphere also didn't come close to what I expected.
