We had dinner there Got a table straight away Staff was friendly but was unkempt The toilets were a disaster, especially the women's toilet. It was better not to look in the storage room next to the toilets. The menus were so dirty that I had to wash my hands. I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. It's a shame because the building has something and the food was good.

Pizza was delicious, service friendly and attentive. One of 2 pizzas took a little longer because something went wrong, but that wasn't a problem for us. Deductions because of the toilets. 2 women's toilets, both of which were impossible to use. Totally dirty, one without a toilet seat and the cistern in the other was broken. That's not possible!

Pizza was ok, service was quick even though the place was busy. The bad rating is not justified.

Passing through and a very bad experience, unable to bring a full order, spilled half the coke on the cell phone and without apologizing. 2 drinks were missing, we had to complain 10 times and wait 20 minutes to receive the missing drinks. And all this while pulling the g.... 😡, too bad not to be able to put zero

Never again. Service is a complete disaster. We sat at the table for 30 minutes and the waiter didn't even look in our direction to serve. Luckily we went somewhere else.

We were there on a Sunday evening and easily got a table without a reservation. Service was friendly and reasonably quick, food was fresh and well prepared. 2 small points of criticism: - the pilsner on tap was a little low in carbon dioxide - the pizza (or the dough?) was missing some salt. Conclusion: I cannot understand the very low current overall rating (as of May 2024) of 2.2. The quality is good and the prices are rather cheap for such a tourist city and the central location.

Pasta was cold, order was delivered incorrectly, pizza tasted like frozen pizza. It's a shame that such a well-positioned restaurant offers such poor food. Employees can hardly speak German and wanted to give change of €10 for a €200 note and a €107 bill. Unfortunately, math skills should also be improved here. Not recommendable.

So we were there today and the taste of the food was great! The tomato soup was really tasty and the pizza was delicious. You can taste that the dough is homemade and my pizza with artichokes and olives was simply delicious! The service was warm and friendly even in somewhat difficult situations! ☺️ We'd love to come back😁

monchau is always a nice place but the lasagna was too salty the cola had no fizz the fries where floury

Very good pizza with a fantastic view of the old town! A bit “rustic” inside, nice service and fair prices compared to the other restaurants. We strengthened ourselves here after a hike and, in addition to the good food, also really enjoyed the view of the half-timbered buildings outside :)

Cozy restaurant with hectic service and good food

It is a very small restaurant on two levels. It is rustic in a half-timbered style. The service was very nice, but unfortunately they couldn't speak German. The pizza salami, diavolo and soraya were very tasty. Unfortunately I can't give it 4 stars because I could hardly turn around because of the full furniture and felt squeezed in. What didn't work at all were obvious white paint splashes on my glass. Although I received a new drink, this should have been noticeable. Well, and last but not least, I didn't like the fact that the boss left his waiter alone when the shop was full and disappeared into a neighboring building with a meter staff. The poor waiter couldn't keep up, which became noticeable in the waiting time.

The pizza is terribly bad, they don't know how to cook it, the dough was raw, the ingredients were very bad, it was the worst pizza of my life! I left there feeling robbed, the bottle of water cost almost €7, and on top of that the owner was arguing shouting at their employees, a shame, I hope they don't fool anyone else...

Very cozy restaurant. Our pizzas were excellent. The service was good and quick. We cannot understand the bad reviews. We actually wanted to go to Haller, but it was very crowded, bad air and very loud. We are very glad we got a table at La Fontana instead. Mille Grazie / Muchas gracias

Super tasty and very nice service!

The score here is low, but most of the bad reviews are from the past. Currently, this restaurant is an Italian restaurant with no problems and a warm atmosphere. The white wine and seafood spaghetti were very tasty, and the pizza was also excellent in quantity and quality. If you have a fun conversation with the lively staff, you can hear many different stories. I hope this store does well… !

The food was very tasty, had both pizza and pasta. The waiters are also super friendly and nice. Can also speak a lot of different languages. If you're looking for something delicious to eat in a relaxed evening, especially when the other local restaurants are already closed, you'll find an uncomplicated and delicious opportunity there. :)

The food tasted excellent, my wife had spaghetti with prawns and I had spaghetti frutti de mare. Unfortunately we were only there once because we had to leave the next time.

I've never tasted such bad spaghetti!!! Overdoing the pinch!! I should have gotten 3€ back, of course excluding the tip but it was simply ignored!!! It is true that it has bad reviews (most of them old. They do not reserve a table but in my case, going to dinner early (around 7:00 p.m.) I have had no problems. Its location is perfect. Trying to make a reservation for diner at 12.00 they told us they don't take reservations. In the evening, in an empty restaurant, they told us everything was fully booked with reservations. Don't speak English, Italian, French, Dutch, German...

Heel lekker gegeten. Toffe gastheren, lekkere pizza's en eerlijke prijzen. Volgende keer in Monshau komen we hier zeker terug!

Süßer, authentischer Laden. Gambas, Salat und Calamari lecker und frisch. Sehr netter und lustiger Kellner. Wir waren zufrieden :-)

Nunca imaginei que este restaurante estivesse assim de avaliação, ja comi muito carne suina mais nunca provei um Haxe tao suculento como esse e as pizzas que pediram meus companheiros estavam uma delicia

Lekkere pizza, gezellig restaurant

De 2 sterren zijn helemaal niet correct. Heel lekkere Italiaanse keuken met simpele lekkere Italiaanse gerechten. Heb de pizza Andosa genomen en de verwachtingen werden volledig ingevuld. Neem daar de goede prijzen en vriendelijke bediening bij en zo verdienen ze zeker 4 sterren

Pizza und Lasagne sehr lecker, jedoch etwas geschmacklos beim Käse, alle anderen Zutaten jedoch sehr stimmig. Wartezeit bis das essen am Tisch war betrug ca. 30 Minuten. (Koch wurde wohl wieder aus dem Feierabend geholt, da weitere Gäste die nach uns gekommen waren schnell das Essen hatten). Mineralwasser nachweislich vom Lidl (Discounter). Nicht akzeptabel für ein Restaurant.

Meine Pizza Gabriel war einfach geil. Viel Boden, viel Käse, viel Knoblauch. Auch meine Begleiter waren sehr zufrieden.

Der Laden ist schon sehr "speziell" ... aber genau das finde ich klasse. Ja, es ist schon etwas knüselig. Ja, man muss ggf. etwas länger auf sein Essen warten, Ja, man begegnet dem Gast "auf Augenhöhe" (und nicht unterwürfig) ... aber die Pizzen sind unheimlich lecker, heiß und frisch.

Ich war mit 2 meiner Söhne zum Pizza 🍕 essen da. Service war freundlich. Pizza lecker. Wir waren zufrieden.

So this place is rated badly on Google Maps and I didn't check that before visiting. Maybe a lot of people had bad experience here but not me. I ate spaghetti with meat (don't really remember the name) and pils beer. It is a bit overpriced considering the quality of the food. But it is not bad. No way. The beer was fine too. Located at the prime location of Monschau center, it is a decent place to grab a bite. I would not recommend this place if you are into authentic Italian food, but if you're hungry and have less options, surely eat here. It is decent and hygienic. The service was also pleasant.

Da wir zur Kermes in Monschau waren, haben wir bei bestem Wetter nach einem schönen Restaurant geschaut wo man draußen sitzen kann. Im La fontana sind wir fündig geworden. Ich hatte einen Salat der absolut und Ordnung war und mein Freund die Spaghetti Bolognese, die sehr gut geschmeckt hat und absolut zu empfehlen ist. Die Getränke waren leider nicht wirklich gekühlt aber wir hatten einen tollen Blick auf die Kermes.

Wir haben ziemlich das vorgefunden wonach wir gesucht haben. Leckere Pizza in einem kleinen Fachwerkhaus. Vorspeise war super. Die Pizzen als Hauptgericht waren lecker. (mit kleiner schwarzer Ofenrandkruste) Auch wenn der Service noch Potential nach oben hat, unsere Bedienung sprach 5 Sprachen, es war insgesamt amüsant wie er viele Gäste in der jeweiligen Sprache ansprach und er hat sich Mühe gegeben. Wir würden hier wieder essen gehen.

Boven is het gezellig. De pizza's en pasta's waren lekker

Het terras zat vol en we waren blij dat we ergens iets konden eten. We hadden helaas geen tijd gehad om reviews te lezen. Wij herkenden ons helaas in de minder positieve reviews. De tagliatelle met gorgonzola bleek een smaakloze, zware hap. De bediening was heel aardig en het zat heerlijk buiten op het terras. Jammer dat de keuken niet meer heeft te bieden.

Pasta redelijk, pizza echt niet bestellen. Heeft weinig met verse pizza te maken

Pizza & Salat haben gut geschmeckt; Service & Preise waren ebenfalls ok.

Op grond van eerdere reviews zouden we hier niet naar toe gaan, maar na drie dagen gutbürgerliche küche wilden we wel eens wat anders. En 't was toppie! Wij beiden een mooie pizza (eerlijk gedeeld, ieder de helft van de ander), lekkere biertjes erbij en nog een grappa. Zeer vriendelijk personeel én prettige ambiance. Oké, de toilet was kapot bij de heren dus ik moest naar damestoilet. Die was schoon, alleen handen wassen daarna ging niet wegens een vastzittende kraan. Maar dat verhelpen ze vast binnenkort en dan is alles 'belle'.

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal hier und habe mich für eine Pizza 4 stagioni entschieden. Ich muss es war eine sehr schmackhafte mit sichtbar frischen Zutaten gebackene Pizza. Ich war sehr zufrieden. Auch der anschließende Cappuccino war sehr 👍

Lekkere pizza calzone en schnitzel! Super vriendelijk personeel en een leuk terras op een pittoresk pleintje. De tiramisu zou echt afraden. De slagroom en het bolletje ijs verdoezelde niet dat dit een slechtste versie was. Alsnog een aanrader als je het dessert skipt.

Eine schön eingerichteter Italiener. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend, aber das Essen, fade, Nudeln kaum Geschmack, keine Pizzabrötchen (hätte man bei den Sossen dringend gewünscht). Würde leider nicht zu meinen Favoriten zählen, diese Pizzaria.

We begrijpen de negatieve recensies niet echt. We namen de schnitzel met champignons en deze was zeer lekker. De pizza's zagen er iets minder uit maar dit restaurant is gewoon normaal goed om een kleine hap te eten. Mooie zitplaats buiten in een gezellig stadje.

In contrast to some of the previous reviews posted, we had a really nice experience! Having arrived back in town a little later than anticipated, and been turned away by so many other restaurants whose kitchens had already closed, La Fontana had extended their opening hours and were happy to accommodate us. Staff were friendly and helpful and took our order promptly. We did have to wait a little while for our pizzas as there were a couple of other tables before us, but when it arrived the pizza was really tasty - very happy!

Schönes Ambiente in einem historischen Gebäude. Wir waren spät dran durften aber noch gerade rein um etwas zu essen. Als der Kellner uns durch eine Seitentür ins Restaurant führte, spuckte er einmal auf den Boden kurz vor der Tür. Obwohl wir von diesem unzivilisierten Verhalten schockiert waren aßen wir in dem Restaurant. Das Essen war ok aber nichts besonderes.
