We were here today on the 2nd attempt. The food was really perfect...10 points out of 10 possible. Really perfect, soup and main course incredibly tasty. The service was great, we felt welcome and wanted. Any time!!! Best restaurant in Travemünde. We hope that you stay that way. Delicious, authentic and warm. We would love to come back.

We had a ladies evening and four of us had dinner there with our dog last week. From the service, to the food, to the water for the dog and the sip that came from the house, everything was perfect. Thank you very much, we had a very pleasant evening!

Was there on a recommendation and rarely have my high expectations been met so well. We had steak and fish. Both were simply perfect and the taste was anything but run-of-the-mill. The portion sizes were generous and therefore the price-performance ratio was more than good. The service was also great. The owner was also there that afternoon and also left a really friendly impression. The ambience is simple, but rustic and cozy. 100/100 points from me.

We were in Travemünde for the first time and discovered the restaurant by chance and made a reservation for the evening in the afternoon - how happy we were, because without a reservation it would have been tight. We were very impressed by the food (cod and butterfish), so we made a reservation for the next evening. It was again very fresh and tasty, just like you would want a fish dish on the Baltic Sea. Dear Mr Konkel, We would like to thank you for the great meal this afternoon! It was so nice and “human” with you, a nice welcome and time for a conversation or two. The sea buckthorn spritz as an aperitif was very tasty. 😋 Then came my Labskaus, which I really enjoyed. The fresh herbs on top, the dressed beetroot - delicious and everything made with a lot of love. My husband had the rump steak and thought the quality of the meat was excellent. 2 more espressos and, as the crowning glory, grandma's red jelly with vanilla sauce. A successful day of excursions rounded off with a perfect meal. We go home with a very comfortable feeling. Thank you very much, Sabine and Klaus Krohn

We ate there on the recommendation of a friend. The food is absolutely recommended. The boss and the staff were super nice and accommodating. The kitchen with the Indian chefs is a dream. A very nice little northern German fish restaurant with a small outdoor terrace right on the Trave. We were there spontaneously and were lucky to get a spot. I therefore recommend making a reservation. The menu is small but we could hardly decide between the dishes. We had panfish and a mixed fish platter and were very impressed - the fish was cooked to perfection. There is also a lot on the menu for meat eaters. The staff are very friendly and enjoy their job - which makes you feel very welcome and in good hands. We'd love to come back.

Very nice service (the owner was) without a reservation, no problem. The food was very good and tasty, the only thing that bothered me was that the tartar sauce was served in a cardboard bowl. The service recorded the information but reported higher costs for alternatives as feedback.

Super nice place with great staff. Slightly upscale dishes are well prepared, but are very close to the price performance limit. I was only full with starter and dessert. My recommendation: Labskaus.

This was our first time in the cabin and we really enjoyed it and enjoyed it. I wanted to order the fish soup as the main course, but unfortunately there wasn't enough of it left. The chef himself came to our table and offered me a great alternative. It was the best decision. Go to the cabin to drink, eat & have fun. The service and the ambience harmonized perfectly.

We dropped in there unannounced for dinner and were offered what I thought was the most beautiful place with a view of the water. Great food, very attentive, lovely staff and a boss who is not above working. A nice chat rounded off the visit. Great, thank you

Ate here twice. Fine little menu, lots of fish dishes, very tasty. The fish soup is to die for, but otherwise really good too. Very fine white wine. Family, very friendly atmosphere. Bonus: the view of the bay from the terrace. Gladly again!

We were treated very friendly on the phone during the reservation. Later in the restaurant we were warmly welcomed directly by the owner. This friendliness and first-class service continued throughout the entire evening. The restaurant is quite small, but very nicely decorated in a maritime style. The map is also manageable, but in my opinion that is a big plus. The food was nicely prepared and tasted very good. Be sure to try the homemade coleslaw, it's great. The prices are absolutely justified for the good quality and don't differ much from other restaurants in the area. If you are in Travemünde and want to eat good fish, you have come to the right place. We would come by again at any time and would like to thank you again for the lovely evening. From the service to the food itself, there was nothing to complain about. We enjoyed it very much and put a good end to our first evening of the holiday.

After many years we were there again In Travemünde and for dinner we absolutely had to go back to the cabin and were well served. We can only rate the fish dishes and they were first class. Freshly prepared and tastefully decorated. Everything was super tasty. It's been a long time since we've eaten as well in the restaurant as we did today and it's definitely not the last time we've been here.

Were there on Saturday evening. The cabin was very well attended. Service welcomed us warmly and we were allowed to sit at the bar from start to finish where we had lovely conversations with the hosts. Small, fine, honest card sorted to the point. It was a wonderful evening. Thank you for letting us be there. Keep doing exactly that.

Unfortunately 5 stars are not enough 🤷🏻‍♂️ I do not know where to start. As soon as I was greeted, I was warmly welcomed like a friend/acquaintance and that's definitely worth 5 stars. Then we continue with the delicious white wine, which I drank and enjoyed as a spritzer. Kind regards to your wine dealer. He makes really delicious wine 😋 Then to the really good, absolutely delicious and simply fabulous food. Even the first bite of the plaice fillet was a pleasure. It was a poem until the last bite. So much for that. I had the plaice fillet with the homemade fried potatoes and the delicious remoulade sauce. I would like to thank the whole team for making my last evening here in beautiful Travemünde the crowning glory (that's what the nice and friendly, young, good-looking man in the striped top said 😉). The food was tasty, but nothing exceptional. It is already common practice in the catering industry that the prices for these were high. The boss and the staff were great and attentive.

The best steak you can get in Lübeck and Travemünde can only be recommended. Very good staff!👍

Great service in a very cozy atmosphere. The food was world class, we have rarely eaten fish so well. A must in Travemünde!

I can highly recommend the restaurant. I ended up there by chance because the restaurant where I wanted to go was closed. I didn't have a reservation, but my friend and I were still able to eat there. We then sat at the bar. I would choose this place again at any time because you could look out over the water and into the kitchen from there. You could watch how every dish was freshly prepared in the kitchen. The fish was super tasty and the staff was funny, fresh and nice. The chef even answered my questions about the fish, even though the shop was super busy and there was actually a lot to do. During the conversation it turned out that the cook is also the owner of the cabin. That really impressed us! Definitely go there. It is worth it!!!

A big thank you to Patrick Konkel. Thanks to his philosophy, German cuisine lives. The quality of the steaks was outstanding. The coleslaw salad was great, I had never eaten it like that before. In general, everything was different than what is usually served. The potato salad was light and very tasty. You can taste the passion and the joy. Not to forget the service. Friendly, authentic and also on the quality level of the cuisine. We had two great dinners. Oh, now I almost forgot to mention the amazing asparagus soup, a first highlight before the main courses.

A lot of fish for the money. We always eat here when we are in Travemünde. Best fish restaurant in Travemünde.

In Travemünde I came across a true gem - this enchanting Kajüte restaurant, which enchants every guest with its pretty ambience and warm service (MUTTI). But the real gem is undoubtedly the food, which not only captivates the senses but also touches the soul. Each course is like a precious pearl, carefully selected and perfectly presented. It was a feast for all the senses that exceeded my expectations. A place that has truly engraved itself in the treasury of my culinary memories. I can't wait to enjoy this precious experience again and highly recommend everyone to discover this place of enjoyment!"

The food is very, very good and the restaurant with its service and ambience is absolutely worth a visit! We had fish (mix) and the rump steak - both tasted exactly right! You should be very hungry because it's worth eating both! For dessert there is something sweet that is homemade and delicious! The highlight here is also the kitchen, where the boss lets you watch his fingers - and that's an absolutely positive thing, because the man knows his craft! We'll definitely be back! We were there on Holy Day and have to say that we really enjoyed it there. The service was very nice and the food was very tasty 😋 The restaurant is very clean and the decoration fits perfectly. But you should make a reservation unless you are lucky😉 Gladly again.

The plaice nature was excellent, with delicious fried potatoes. New for us was the juicy, crunchy side dish: samphire (sea asparagus), delicious. Very friendly service!

We were repeat offenders! And again it was a pleasure for the eyes, ears and stomach. The cabin has a wonderful maritime design, as one would hope from the name. Of course with a direct view of the Trave. It's a very cozy little shop and I would advise everyone to make a reservation. The really tiny galley (for landlubbers: the kitchen) produces various kinds of delicacies that are fun to try. No matter whether it's the brilliant fish or the juicy sirloin steak. Here the chef cooks his way through the menu sensationally. The “fake snails” are funny as a starter. Definitely try it. The delicacies are always served to the table with a smile. We particularly liked the fact that you can also sit at the counter. Here you can simply feel at home and watch the hustle and bustle. Conclusion: Everything is right here. Clear 5 stars 🌟 Recommendation!!

The waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. The food tastes very good and is worth the money.

Ein tolles kleines Lokal direkt an der Uferpromenade. Die Bedienung ist super und die Küche ist hervorragend. Wir haben die Scholle Finkenwerder, das Wolfsbarschfilet und das Rinderfilet gegessen. Vorweg gab es einmal die Krabben mit Pommes und Coktailsosse, was ich so noch nicht kannte, und die Fischsuppe. Zu den Krabben mit Cocktailsosse und den Fritten gab es nichts auszusetzen und die Hauptgerichte waren ebenfalls eine Wucht. Nur bei der Fischsuppe muss ich kleine Abstriche machen. Leider war die Fischsuppe eine Krabbensuppe. Auch die Einlage bestand nur aus Krabben. Wenn also auf der Karte eine Krabbensuppe gestanden hätte, wäre ich absolut zufrieden gewesen aber so muss ich leider einen Stern abziehen. Aber: Wer eine leckere und für 9,90€ dazu noch preiswerte Krabbensuppe haben möchte, sollte sich diese in der Kajüte nicht entgehen lassen. Wenn wir wieder mal in Travemünde sind, werden wir mit Sicherheit hier wieder einkehren. Daumen hoch.

Uns hat es in der Kajüte so gut geschmeckt und gefallen, dass wir gleich wieder reserviert haben. Das sollte man (vorsichtshalber) auch tun. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, frisch und auch optisch sehr ansprechend angerichtet. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt. Nettes, hilfsbereites Personal, da würden wir auch gerne mal mehr Sternchen als möglich geben 😁

Warum 3 Sterne? Ersten Abend gut gegessen. 4 1/2 Sterne. Nächsten Abend um 20 Uhr (auf einem Freitag ) Küche ist schon zu. Fragen aber mal. Nach 30 Sek immer noch keine Antwort. Und tschüss. In Google steht bis 21:00 auf. 🤷‍♂️ Das Geld wurde anderswo ausgegeben. Und war auch gut.

Wir waren so glücklich, daß wir unsere kleine Feier zu unserer Goldenen Hochzeit in der Kajüte feiern konnten. Und es war wunderschön. Die gesamte Organisation, das Menü, die Blumendekoration und das Ambiente waren super, abgerundet von einem aufmerksamen und zuvorkommenden Kajüte-Team. Wir sind durch Zufall dort gelandet, ein Angebot des Tages hat uns geködert 😉 Wir haben noch einen Platz am Tresen ergattert und es nicht bereut. Es gab Wolfsbarsch mit Spinat und Garnelen Super lecker, nette Bewirtung, tolles Ambiente, wir kommen wieder 😋😋😋

Der Service war äußerst freundlich, der Ablauf sehr zügig und das Essen einfach großartig...😉👉😋

Sehr feines Lokal. Rib Eye Steak mit Gemüse und Pommes. Dazu Garnelen bestellt. Super lecker. Auch der Eistee des Hauses ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Schönes Fischrestaurant mit engagierter Crew, geschmacklich und preislich top, aber leider ist ohne Reservierung ist kaum ein Tisch zu bekommen.

Wir haben uns spontan für einen Tagesausflug nach Travemünde entschieden und waren auf der Suche nach einem leckeren Mittagessen - es sollte natürlich Fisch sein! Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und bedient und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Wir haben dreimal dem "Fisch Mix" bestellt und waren begeistert! Sowohl optisch als auch geschmacklich sehr gut! Als Beilage gab es wirklich gute Bratkartoffeln und Kartoffelsalat. Sehr zu empfehlen und natürlich kommen wir - bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Travemünde - gerne wieder.

Kleines Restaurant mit einer überschaubarer Karte. Sowas soll für Qualität sprechen. Meine Scholle Finkenwerder Art war sehr lecker, dazu Bratkartoffeln.

Fantastic meal and service ❤️ Fish soup starter was perfect in every way. There are small shrimp in the soup 😍 Garlic bread was absolutely fantastic and potato fries was amazing, I usually don't eat fries. But these were amazing by itself, no need of dip 😌 Our main course was perfectly prepared and the wine the chef recommended pair perfectly with the meal. Totally recommend and we will definitely return 🌟

Sehr leckere, frische, hausgemachte Speisen- Coleslaw ist hier ein MUSS! Sooo lecker! Selbstgemachte Pommes... toll! Und ein nettes Schwätzchen mit der Bedienung, die sich später als Chefin geoutet hat.... das gibt dem Ort einen Charackter, der bei dem Andrang an Menschen sonst schnell verloren geht...

Super Service, tolles Essen, schönes Ambiente, prima Lage mit Blick auf dad Wasser und die vorbeifahrenden Schiffe. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Ohne Recherche wären wir wohl nicht hier gelandet. Von außen unscheinbar hat uns der Google-Eintrag und die Speisekarte überzeugt, reinzuschauen. Der Service hat uns freundlich empfangen und direkt Wasser für den Hund gebracht. Die Karte ist klein und sympathisch. Der Kartoffelsalat ehrlicherweise nicht selbst gemacht, die alternativen Bratkartoffeln knusprig und lecker, der frische Dorsch perfekt gebraten. Die Dorschfrikadellen vom Tagesangebot frisch und lecker (die Limettennote ist mega gut), ebenso der Gurkensalat mit den gepickelten Zwiebeln. Der Service ist schnell und aufmerksam, das Essen sieht fantastisch aus. Man spürt mit jedem Bissen (Meeresspargel 🤩) dass die Köche wissen, was sie tun. Preis-Leistung passt sehr gut zusammen. Einzig die Remoulade wäre in einer sauberen Muschel schöner platziert als in der Pappschale zum Wegschmeißen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und probieren dann die Außenterrasse aus. Wer einen sicheren Platz will, sollte übrigens reservieren! Danke für Eure Gastfreundschaft.

Liebes Kajüte Team, ihr habt heute Abend mal wieder bewiesen, wie man Service am Kunden zeigt. Vielen Dank dafür!!!! Wir sind ganz spontan und ohne Reservierung zu euch gekommen und ihr habt alles möglich gemacht, dass eine Familie mit 5 Personen vor uns und auch wir, mit 4 Personen, zügig einen Platz im Restaurant bekommen, obwohl augenscheinlich fast alles belegt war. Für einen Samstag Abend eine nicht immer leichte Aufgabe. Das Essen war wie gewohnt wieder mal erste Klasse, genau wie der Preis für dieses hervorragende Essen. Ich kann nur sagen, macht weiter so wie bisher! Lasst euch durch den ein oder anderen schlecht-gelaunten Urlauber oder Tagestouristen nicht demotivieren. Kleine Missgeschicke wird es immer und überall geben, aber es ist immer eine Frage der Toleranz, wie und ob man damit umgehen möchte. Wir können dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen, da die Küche, das Serviceteam und das Ambiente einfach stimmig sind. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch bei euch der garantiert nicht lange auf sich warten lässt.

Absolute Herzensempfehlung ist das sehr schön eingerichtete Restaurant Kajüte. Vom sehr liebevoll und leckeren Essen bis zum Service, fühle ich mich jedesmal zuhause.
