Restaurant Ikaros in Düsseldorf

Wir haben uns im IKAROS bei familiärem Flair immer sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Speisen sind überragend und sehr schön angerichtet. Wenn ich in Düsseldorf bin, werde ich jederzeit gerne wieder bei Euch vorbei schauen.

Sehr gutes Familienrestaurant, perfektes griechisches Essen

Die Größte Frechheit die ich je erlebt habe. Über 40min warten ohne einmal Trinken zu Bestellen. Dann ohne zu bestellen irgendwelche Essen erhalten. Sehr sehr Unfreundliches Personal. Teure Gerichte und nur als Küche ohne richtigen Nachweis abgerechnet. Schlechtester Service den ich je erhalten habe. Pilze im Gericht haben schon verdorben geschmeckt.

Wir hatten für das Lokal Meteora nebenan reserviert. Als ich fragte ob wir hier richtig wären (weil das Lokal anders hieß) hat er uns in dem Glauben gelassen. Das ist das allerletzte. Das Essen war gut. Die Bedingung musste zum Bestellen und Kassieren angesprochen werden obwohl 3 Herren da waren.

Lange warte zeit, falsches essen

Das Fleisch war perfekt zubereitet und sehr zart. Ich hatte Hähnchen und Lamm, es war köstlich, und die Pommes waren auch sehr lecker.

Wir waren mit 12 Personen und einem Baby zur Diamanthochzeit meiner Eltern im Ikarus. Die Tischreservierung für Mai hatten wir bereits im Januar vorgenommen. Leider war der Service an diesem besonderen Tag äußerst enttäuschend. Der Kellner trat uns gegenüber unhöflich und teilweise sogar respektlos auf. Zudem wurden die bestellten Speisen nicht wie von uns à la carte ausgewählt serviert. Teilweise fehlten Beilagen, die erst auf Nachfrage gebracht wurden – und das in einer sehr ungehaltenen Art. Besonders ärgerlich war, dass bereits beim Probeessen statt der bestellten Schweinemedaillons Minutensteaks serviert wurden. Damals wurde der Fehler immerhin entschuldigt und korrigiert. Bei unserem Familienfest erhielten jedoch erneut drei Gäste statt der bestellten Medaillons Minutensteaks. Auf unseren Hinweis hin behauptete der Kellner, es handele sich um Filet. Für uns war das eindeutig nicht der Fall. Wir beschwerten uns daraufhin beim Geschäftsführer – sowohl über die Qualität der Speisen als auch über das Verhalten des Kellners. Die Reaktion: Der Kellner sei lediglich gestresst gewesen. Zwar entschuldigte sich der Geschäftsführer, dennoch änderte das nichts an unserem Gesamteindruck. Zusätzlich mussten wir nach der Vorspeise die benutzten Teller selbst vom Tisch räumen, da sonst kein Platz für die Hauptgerichte gewesen wäre. Um weitere Getränke zu bestellen, mussten wir mehrfach selbst zur Theke gehen, da wir am Tisch praktisch nicht mehr bedient wurden. Trotz der Entschuldigung des Geschäftsführers werden wir das Ikarus künftig meiden. Der Service war katastrophal, das Essen entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen, und gerade an einem so besonderen Familientag ist das besonders schade.

Essen war lecker. Bedienung nett aber etwas entschleunigt.

Wir wollten vor unserem Flug noch schnell etwas Gesundes essen. Und das hat wunderbar geklappt. Der Besitzer bot uns zur Begrüßung Ouzo an und zauberte im Nu einen köstlichen Salat und eine superleckere Moussaka für uns. Wir hatten sogar noch Zeit für Kaffee. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank für den freundlichen Empfang und das leckere Essen!

Das Essen ist richtig lecker und definitiv zu empfehlen. Leider war bei unserem Besuch der Service etwas langsam, dafür aber stets sehe freundlich. Das Ambiente ist etwas altbacken, die Toiletten sehr mordern.

Das Essen war wirklich gut. Wir haben in verschiedenen griechischen Restaurants gegessen, aber Ikaros war mit Abstand das beste. Die Portionen waren großzügig, und es hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Das Restaurant war sauber und die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich.

Sehr leckeres Gyros – perfekt gewürzt, saftig und eine richtig gute Portion. Der Service war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Angenehme, entspannte Atmosphäre. Klare Empfehlung – ich komme gerne wieder!

Das beste Gyros weit und breit!!! Auch Moussaka war sehr schmackhaft 👍👍Der Krautsalat ist sehr, sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Ein wundervolles, stimmungsvolles Restaurant im griechischen Stil mit freundlichem Service. Ich war schon lange nicht mehr in einem so tollen Restaurant. Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen und danke Ihnen für Ihre Gastfreundschaft.

Ich habe heute Abend einen Teller mit mit Gyros, Schweinefiletspieße, Tzatziki, Fritten, und extra Krautsalat gehabt. Die Fritten haben mich nicht umgehauen aber der Rest war absolute Oberklasse. Ich habe selten bei einem Griechen so einen leckeren Teller gehabt. Preis-Leistung stimmt unter Uzo war kostenlos noch hinterher. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und nett. Alles in allem werde ich wiederkommen. PS Konnte hinterm Haus parken und meine Freundin ist mit der Bahn nach Düsseldorf gefahren die 50 m weiter hält. Praktisch.

Essen war sehr lecker haben zwar lange aufs Essen gewartet weil der Bestellzettel weg war da es aber überschaubar war hätte man es früher merken können die Bedienung war sehr langsam und wollte anscheinend nix verdienen wir mussten 3 mal erwähnen das wir bezahlen wollen auch das hat sehr lange gedauert geschweige als die Rechnung da war keiner zum abkassieren gekommen ist also gab’s nur 1€ Trinkgeld da wir kein Kleingeld hatten und nicht noch länger warten wollten daran sollte man noch etwas Pfeilen wir hätten bestimmt auch noch was getrunken 😉 aber trotzdem war’s essen sehr lecker 🤤

Ich war im Ikarus Restaurant in Düsseldorf und wirklich begeistert! Das Essen war sehr lecker, frisch zubereitet und die Bedienung super freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders praktisch ist die Top-Lage direkt am Flughafen und an der Messe – ideal für einen schnellen, guten Zwischenstopp. Außerdem verfügt das Restaurant über einen eigenen Parkplatz, was den Besuch noch entspannter macht. Ich komme definitiv wieder. Klare Empfehlung! ✨

Ein nettes Restaurant, freundliches Personal und gute Atmosphäre

Greek restaurant with a menu adapted to German tastes. That is, they have Greek dishes but adapted to German preferences. For example, dishes that come with salad are served separately. We found the food to be very good and high quality. We were a group of nine and everyone left happy. We were all served at the same time. The wait wasn't long. We ate gyros, schnitzel, grilled chicken, grilled entrecote with mushroom sauce… everything was delicious and juicy. The only downside was that they didn't have pita bread, which we had hoped they would. The decor is also German-style and a bit dated, but everything was clean and the restrooms were new. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they were attentive throughout our meal. They have gluten-free and lactose-free options, and they adapted the salad dressing for me.

You could say I don't recommend it. There are 100 better restaurants in Düsseldorf.

We generally had a good meal at Ikaros; the quality of the food was decent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. On the plus side, they serve Königs Pilsener, which you don't always find at Greek restaurants. However, it must be said that the prices are a bit higher overall, as is common in many Greek restaurants. What really surprised us was that they charged €5.60 for a 0.4-liter Sprite – more expensive than a beer! I find that completely excessive and incomprehensible. In conclusion: The food was good, the service was okay, but the drink prices – especially for soft drinks – are unjustified in my opinion.

Although it was almost sold out at 10 p.m. because of the trade fair, they quickly conjured up a schnitzel with fries (red/white) and salad for us - great service 👍 The ambience looked good, but we ordered to go, so no rating for that.

I ate here with my family today for the first time in five years. The food was delicious, but the service was incredibly unfriendly (an older lady with short brown hair and glasses). She explained to us that we ordered the wrong meal, even though she misunderstood it. Mistakes can always happen, but you should still remain friendly and take a solution-oriented approach. This is where we ate last!

We're currently parked in the restaurant's parking lot (free parking next to the premises) and are deeply disappointed. Today is our 25th wedding anniversary and we wanted to have a nice evening. We placed our orders, and I ordered a Hermes plate. After the normal wait, the food arrived. However, I didn't get my Hermes plate, but a schnitzel with fries. When I told them I hadn't ordered that, all I got was the reply that the elderly lady who took and served our order had understood it that way, and she hadn't misheard. If I wanted that, I would have to wait a very long time. I kept the food because I wanted to eat with my family. After the meal, I tried to talk to them again. You can always misunderstand something, but then you ask if you understood it correctly. The fact that the reaction was inappropriate didn't interest either the lady or the gentleman I called over. They didn't want to address the matter, and in the spirit of a service provider to the customer, they didn't want to clarify it either. We certainly won't be going back here and will eat at our favorite Greek restaurant again in the future. They apologize for mistakes and admit they were made. (P.S. I have today's bill. Perhaps the owner would like to comment on or respond to this incident.)

Extremely friendly, very delicious food. The restaurant was almost fully booked, so we had to wait a bit longer, which the friendly waitress told us from the start. But the wait was more than worth it.

Recently, five of us were spontaneously looking for something to eat and ended up here for the first time. Not only did we have great seats on the terrace in the sun, but we also received excellent and extremely friendly service. The food was great in every respect and at the end there was a small ouzo on the house. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in Lohausen. Keep it up!

Unfortunately our visit there was a disaster. And the only excuse can be that the restaurant was absolutely overcrowded. While we were still busy with the starters, the main courses were placed on the table. The food was tasteless and boring. Really a shame. Conclusion: Never again

Nice and friendly staff and also very tasty food. One of the few Greeks in Düsseldorf that also offers an outdoor terrace in summer. It's better to reserve a table, especially when there is a trade fair, because then all tables are always filled quickly. Recommended restaurant.

The restaurant is easy to reach and has a spacious outdoor and indoor area. On Friday we were able to get a table inside without a reservation. The service staff are super nice and very quick. We didn't have to wait long for drinks and although it took me a little longer to choose (which is almost always the case for me) the service was very patient and friendly. The food came quickly, was hot and super tasty! Wine and beer were also delicious. I can only recommend the bedside table with Greek yogurt, honey and walnuts!!! We ate at Ikaros during the Caravan Salon. A reservation on Saturday is certainly recommended, even outside of trade fair times. The only, tiny negative point for me is the proximity to the airport (flight path right in front of the door), but city dwellers certainly see it differently. 😉

As visitors to the Caravan Salon and users of the Schützenplatz Lohausen parking space, we were looking for a restaurant nearby. The Ikaros restaurant is a few hundred meters from where you stay overnight. We were greeted warmly, had to wait a moment and were given a seat for two outside. The menu and the drink order were taken care of quickly. We got the obligatory salad plate, simple but OK. The selection is sufficiently large and the prices are apparently reasonable. During the trade fair there are many exhibitors there who are guests in large groups. It is relatively noisy which is only drowned out by the planes. A normal conversation is hardly possible. The food came quickly, unfortunately we were very disappointed. We ordered 3 types of meat with fries. That's exactly what came, no piece of herb butter, no small portion of tzatziki, just nothing. The meat was very dry and hard, I could only enjoy the chicken, the rest was inedible. The plate cost 24€, it's a shame that we're happy to pay money for reasonable quality. When paying, there was no question about how we liked it and no question about an aperitif or nightcap, no thank you for your visit. Well, I think the restaurant benefits from the proximity of the trade fair and the opportunity to have a meal. It's a shame, a little more effort and I wouldn't have to leave a review with a low number of stars.

Yesterday I had dinner there with my girlfriend, a stunning place, delicious and authentic food, excellent service, an experience not to be missed

We had booked an overnight stay to catch a flight to Crete the next day. We had a delicious meal there, friendly people and the price is good. until next time

Every main course and appetizer we chose was super delicious! No long waiting times and friendly service. Very good tzatziki, delicious Metaxa sauce and delicious tender meat! :) We ate there because of the trade fair, unfortunately it was too far away from home otherwise we would definitely have been there more often! Definitely highly recommended! And maybe we'll see each other again :)

I had dinner with a colleague. Unfortunately the food was not very good. We both frequent Greek restaurants in Italy and we expected more or less the same range of dishes. We didn't find them. There is no Pita here. I'm sorry because we were served with courtesy and kindness, the place is welcoming but we weren't crazy about the food.

I had a seasonal salad with chicken breast, the chicken breast was undercooked and the dressing was from the bottle. Simply bad!

Very friendly and helpful staff, truly excellent cuisine and definitely better than other restaurants with Greek cuisine. Generous portions and good choice. Meat cooked excellently as well as fish. The sea bream we got was really large and well cooked. Selection of wines not very large but valid, perhaps the cost is a little higher than average for the wines. The overall cost is however very good and competitive. Close to the U79 stop. Truly recommended. Preferable to book! Well done!!

After 2 days at the trade fair in Düsseldorf, we went to the “Ikaros” and were immediately warmly welcomed. We immediately felt comfortable and welcome. Service is great. Just looked in the direction of the waiter and he came to the table. Not "stiff", but very comfortable. Next year, next trade fair = “Ikaros” again 👍

We came from the airport and spontaneously ate there. The 3 dishes were super delicious 😋! The boss is very warm.

Service was great, food overpriced and not really tasty. There are definitely better restaurants in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. I definitely wouldn't recommend it and it was my first and last visit.
