Top original Italian restaurant, high-quality food (huge portions), SUPER nice service, feel-good atmosphere

I rate the pizzeria that now exists in Strand No 1. Food is a matter of taste, so my (our) opinion is of course subjective. We were at Strand No1 a few days ago and had pizza. Very tasty, really well topped, thin dough, huge! As a greeting from the kitchen there was a pizza bread with tomato sauce and pesto, also delicious. Today we were there again and had lasagne, also rich and delicious... And of course the pizza bread. The service was always friendly. Food and drinks were brought quickly. The prices are absolutely in keeping with the world. The furnishings are cozy and, above all, not cramped. In short, if we go to a pizzeria in SPO Bad, it's Strand No1.

Dishes are visually very appealing and tasty - staff are attentive and friendly.

We went in April without a table reservation and were completely thrilled. Now in October we made a reservation but were not asked for the name when we arrived and were brought to an emergency table for two a bit hectically. The service noticed that we were not amused. A colleague then apologized and we were seated at the right table. The fine menu is no longer available. Instead, a map in the form of a placemat that is not very clear. The delicious greeting from the kitchen was also abolished. The starter of beef carpaccio looked delicious and tasted very good. Unfortunately no bread was served. The Frittura Mista was high quality. There was no bread here either. The Diavola Piccante pizza wasn't spectacular but it was also tasty. Food good to very good. The service can be expanded.

Super cold shop. Staff seem to be funny when you ask them to close the doors. Limoncello Spritz was tasty. After the starter we preferred to move on…

We were there for dinner and can't say anything about the hotel, so we won't rate the rooms. We really liked the restaurant, especially the food was very good.

Never again... The 2 waffles for our children were still not ready after 30 minutes. The next table felt the same way. That really can't be true. When we paid we were told: "Then don't sit down in a café if you can't wait." The waiter walked past dirty tables several times and then suddenly disappeared. Impossible. It's a shame that there is such a restaurant in such a great location.

Very nice and courteous service. 4 stars for the service because there is a certain language barrier and one or two things fall by the wayside. Absolutely awesome pizzas. Fresh, super-class pasta is processed. Gladly again.

Waiting 40 minutes for a cappuccino... doesn't have to be!

We had reserved and were welcomed very nicely. We were immediately taken to a free table and immediately asked if we wanted a drink. The menus were brought to us with the drinks. Our order came to the table after a short wait, even though the restaurant and the terrace were very full. Ate very well. Antipasto for two people. Very very good. Pasta and pizza are also very tasty. Three visits to Beach No. 1 in a 10-day stay speak for themselves. Very pleasant atmosphere, really nice and quick staff. Food great. We'd love to come back.

A well-attended Italian restaurant in a good location on the dike. I was there alone for dinner. The pasta with scampi "da Gigi" with a few scampi and a small portion overall on a flat plate for just under 22 euros and a drink. The beer arrived to me without foam. Overall, the team makes a somewhat disorganized impression, which is not made up for by the Italian charm and courtship of the guests. Personally, I think the food is a bit overpriced. Some pizzas are available at normal prices.

Luca app mandatory and incredibly unfriendly reception. Comment on the answer: We were rejected in a very unfriendly manner during the Corona period because we didn't want to use the Luca app as a data dumper. I don't know why I should write anything here other than exactly what we experienced.

A great Italian restaurant right on the promenade. Bad weather, so everyone wanted to eat inside. The restaurant was very busy and yet the waiter conjured up a small table for us. All the waiters were very accommodating, the food was great and a grappa on the house at the end of the evening. We'll be back.

We spent 3 nights there. Our room ONE had a beautiful, large balcony with a view of the dike, the pier and the distant sea. The innkeeper was super friendly. Breakfast delicious and rich. We can't say anything about the Italian restaurant because we didn't eat there, but it was packed every evening, which speaks for itself.

It's purely Italian, no Croatian dishes like on the internet menu. Is a new hospitality!

Very nice and friendly staff, we were in Spo for 11 days and had dinner there 3 times. Good food and very nice ambience. And very dog ​​friendly. Even when the house is full, the staff remains very friendly. We were there with friends last night and were also very enthusiastic. Those who left today would be happy to come back at Easter. We stopped here to have something to drink and eat. The kids had their food after about 10 minutes, but my wife had to wait over 30 minutes for a waffle with ice cream and cherries. After asking several times, the waffle was brought. The consistency of the waffle was bone dry, the ice cream was almost melted and not even a word of apology came from the waiter's lips. Absolute impudence... Not recommended and actually ZERO stars

We had a meal outside on August 8, 2024 in great weather. We ate pasta and bruschetta. It was very good and the service staff were very nice. We will dine there again next time we visit SPO.

Location is nice. But the restaurant doesn't work at all. I haven't experienced anything so bad in a long time. Been there for over 2 hours for a starter and 2 main courses (baked potato and pizza, so nothing special.). We were told several times that we wanted to pay. And then the boss came and counted that he had made 300 meals today. And I just thought you could do 500 meals if it was a little more structured. A little apology

The great central location is also the only highlight of this restaurant. The service and food was absolutely terrible. My husband's fish plate consisted only of oil and even that was tasteless. No recommendation! We won't be coming back

Location, ambience and cuisine all 4 stars. Unfortunately, despite the strong staff, service was clearly below its potential: first ignored for 5 minutes together with another group at the entrance in order to be allocated a seat, then in the end ordered the bill three times without success and after 10 minutes went to the counter to pay . Despite being overwhelmed and disorganized, they are still friendly. In this respect, a good-natured 4 stars in the overall rating.

In the afternoon we enjoyed an apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and a cappuccino. We enjoyed it very much. The service was very friendly. We sat outside so I can't say anything about the ambience inside.

Unfortunately no recommendation. Disinterested service, we waited forever to even be able to order, which can happen in a busy restaurant and in principle wouldn't be a big problem if the service was friendly. But if you are not even greeted with “Hello, welcome or good evening” but with “Prego” without eye contact, you don’t feel welcome. The salad was fresh and good, pizza and gnocchi below average. The music loud and annoying. Overall we were disappointed and won't be coming back.

The restaurant is definitely not recommended. The operation can be uncomfortable. Very long waiting times (until the menu comes, until the order comes, until the first drink comes). The quality of the food is very below average. At the end we noticed that the dishes on the bill were 1-2 euros more expensive than on the menu. The only positive thing I can mention is the wine list. Not cheap, but nice wine selection.

Everything was great, I'd love to come back.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant for dinner and got a table straight away. The service is very friendly, but unfortunately you have to wait a long time before you can order and pay. Apparently this can only be done by a colleague. The pizza was very tasteless. It felt like it wasn't seasoned.

We went to the Ristorante for dinner. We sat at the tables outside facing the promenade. Unfortunately these were not wiped very clean and there were some cobwebs around us. The antipasti were nicely presented. Unfortunately, apart from the bruschetta and some vegetables, there was little culinary art to be seen here. Mainly sausage and cheese. To round things off, some baguette could have been served, but unfortunately this was missing. The pasta portion was too small for the high prices. The gorgonzola mentioned in the menu was in the pasta at most in a homeopathic dosage, otherwise the pasta was fine. Overall, the prices are too expensive for the service.

We were unannounced with 5 people in the restaurant for dinner and were very warmly welcomed. We enjoyed the selected food and drinks 👍! The staff was typically Italian, as we know it from Puglia, the Amalfie Coast, Sardinia and Sicily. Interesting, modern tableware.

There were three of us in the restaurant, everything was great, very fond of children, the food was very tasty and super fast service at fair prices. Only recommended!

Went for dinner. The lasagna wasn't good at all, there were no spices, the minced meat sauce wasn't homemade, and the amount of the dish is debatable, we won't be going to this restaurant again.

A single employee (probably the boss) had a friendly smile Face, the same couldn't be said of the other employees. No friendly attention towards us guests. No real listening to questions, people left the table in the middle of a sentence and didn't really notice that they hadn't finished making a request. The service from the waitresses all comes across as a bit superficial and listless. The grill plate could use a little pep, no spicy dip for the meat and nothing was offered for the fries. Drink service left a lot to be desired. The only really positive thing...a fantastically tasty greeting from the house was served to us at the beginning. It would be worth it again, but everything else can be improved!!

Unfortunately not as expected... - At first we were left standing at the entrance by two waitresses until after a few minutes someone finally came and took us to the place - no please, you're welcome, did it taste good?, etc... - Anything but friendly and nice interaction with the guests - Food is put out without comment - My drinking was 15min. empty - Food is ok but needs a lot of improvement

Went for dinner. Lasagna wasn't good at all. I had it returned without a replacement. The waitress said no to my question about homemade pasta. There was no compensation at the end. I would have liked at least an espresso. Unfortunately, time wasted! As locals, we cannot recommend this restaurant in Sankt Peter-Ording.

We called ahead and made a reservation. We were probably “noted” on site but no one knew where we could sit because of the other reservations. We didn't think it was that great... and only one service employee was committed and on her toes. Unfortunately, that didn't help to fix the chaos all around. The location is great, 2 out of 3 eat really great. But with such an organization - reservation and service on site - we were there for the first and last time. Another table left because they were completely ignored, other tables that came at the same time as us were still waiting for their food when we left.

Restaurant: Ordered a table at 8 p.m., waited 8 minutes at reception until someone came, got a table in the back, totally overheated room. The paper documents are the menu. After another 25 minutes we got up, looked for a waiter and asked if we could please order drinks. Answer: "The last train leaves at 10 p.m." We left there and had a wonderful meal somewhere else.

I had a very tasty affogato, and even though it was a bit overpriced (but is there anything in SPO that isn't overpriced?) I would come back here in a heartbeat! Totally nice service, very nice views and a relaxed, quiet atmosphere! Clear recommendation

Three years ago I was able to post a really good review here. Unfortunately, under the new management, nothing is right here anymore... We had booked a table and were among the first guests at 5 p.m. After almost an hour we politely asked where our food was. We were then assured that we had not been forgotten and that our food would come in 3 minutes. These 3 minutes then lasted another quarter of an hour, and our grilled turkey was completely dry and the grilled vegetables were swimming in oil and had no taste. But no one there was interested in that. Last but not least, while we were still sitting at the table, we were basically sent out again with a "reserved" sign and an annoyed look... An apology or, for example, a grappa or something similar at the expense of the house as a small compensation was possible here not expecting. No more! There are plenty of great restaurants here where everything is just right!

We had a spontaneous meal here today with the family. The ambience is very nice and especially from the terrace you have a fantastic view of the salt marshes and the sea. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our three-year-old son was very hungry and got his pizza in no time. The chef even baked them in the shape of a rabbit. Someone understood how children work. Accordingly, my wife and I had a relaxing evening with delicious food and wine. Absolute recommendation!

Right in front of the dike - there is hardly a better location. The food is good, as are the portions. The staff is very nice. What is no longer appropriate is the pricing: drinks starting at 4.50 euros and charging 1 euro separately for the sachet of ketchup is, in my opinion, excessive.

If you are looking for a small but nice hotel with a top location, this hotel is the right place for you. Ms. Bandermann, thank you very much again. Our stay in SPO was fantastic.

Clear recommendation! If you are looking for a nice, cozy restaurant with a great view of the dike and the North Sea, you have come to the right place. Not only the location but especially the food is perfect here. Fresh, delicious ingredients, great portions and a great selection at absolutely fair prices. Here you don't have the feeling of buying business shares and having to go to bed hungry at the same time. We have been here several times and will definitely come back several times. Best regards

Unfortunately the Croatian restaurant has been replaced by another Italian restaurant. We had pizza and saltimbocca. The pizza was not what was ordered and the saltimbocca meat was inedible. Never again

We were there for coffee and waffles. Service apparently without fixed table assignment. Order had to be taken twice. Other waiters asked again a third and fourth time. Waffles arrived after 30 minutes. Coffee after 45 minutes. Chaos for other guests too. Not again. A pity

We went here for dinner with friends. The menu offers all the well-known Italian dishes that you know. Pizza, pasta, fish and meat. In terms of taste, everything is fine, even if you have to add a little seasoning here and there. The portions are quite large, so you can sometimes skip the starter. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is nicely decorated, although a bit noisy. The constantly ringing telephone with the very piercing ringtone was also a bit annoying. If you sit right next to the bar it can be a bit annoying at times. You can also pay by credit card and dogs are also welcome.

Das Restaurant ist eine Vollkatastrophe! Von Bedienungen, die kein Wort Deutsch sprechen bis zu unfreundlichem Personal ist alles dabei. An dem Essen ist zwar nichts auszusetzen, allerdings ist es überhaupt nicht preisgerechtfertigt. Pasta, die innerhalb von 5 Minuten aufgegessen ist, kostet satte 22€. Was allerdings noch unverschämter ist, ist der Service. Speisen werden am selben Tisch erst serviert, wenn die anderen schon aufgegessen haben. 20 Minuten versetzt. Wenn man nach Brot fragt, muss man 15 Minuten warten, benutzte Teller werden auf den Tisch stehengelassen und das Essen wird einem gegeben, um es selbst auf den Tisch zu stellen. Diese normalerweise selbstverständlichen Aufgaben werden nicht ernstgenommen. Nachdem wir die Bedienung darauf ansprachen, wurden wir unfreundlich aus dem ,,Restaurant“ geworfen und es gab keinerlei Entschädigung. Wir werden diesen Laden nicht mehr unterstützen, da man so ein Benehmen nicht dulden sollte.

ACHTUNG Besitzer hat gewechselt. Seit Februar 2024 kein Kroate mehr sondern Italiener!!!!!! Solltet ihr euch, so wie wir, auf Fleisch auf Spieß oder Ähnliches gefreut haben, seit ihr hier falsch.

Das Restaurant ist im großen und ganzen schön. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe im November da, leider waren die "wichtigsten" Gerichte (unter anderem Steaks) gestrichen bzw. fehlten teilweise ganze Seiten auf der Speisekarte. Service war gut, der Grillteller ist gut, wobei man für das Geld an anderer Stelle deutlich mehr auf dem Teller hat.

Da es uns gestern schon so lecker geschmeckt hat, waren wir heute wieder hier zum Essen. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht, daß Essen war auch heute ober lecker! Der Kellner war wieder sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr leckeres Essen, ich hatte das Rumsteak und meine Frau das Putensteak. Es war reichlich und lecker. Die Bedienung super freundlich. Haben gleich für Morgen nochmal reserviert.

Waren im Strand No. 1 zum Abendessen. Leider war schon zu Beginn, dass Problem das eigentlich ein Tisch reserviert war für drei Personen aber nur noch einer frei war für zwei. Hier hat das Service Personal dann andere Tische noch zusammen gestellt, dadurch wurde es ziemlich eng. Von unserer sitz Position hat es fast durchgehend gezogen, dadurch war es ziemlich frisch. Das Essen war in Ordnung aber nichts überragendes. Unser Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich!

Im Restaurant „Strand No. 1“ werden Sie als Gast noch wertgeschätzt, was nicht selbstverständlich ist in einem Touristenort wie Sankt Peter Ording. Durchweg alle Gerichte auf der Speisekarte sind von hervorragender Qualität, sehr appetitlich angerichtet und superlecker. Wir haben jedenfalls noch nie gegenteilige Erfahrungen gemacht. Ivo und seine Mannschaft vom Service sind stets bemüht und um das Wohl der Gäste bedacht! Weiter so, wie kommen gerne wieder!

Problemlos spontan reserviert, die Kinder wurden während der Wartezeit mit Malbüchern ruhiggestellt, und das Essen war für alle Beteiligten hervorragend. Toller Service, netter Ausblick auf den Sonnenuntergang über den Deich… wir kommen das nächste Mal gerne wieder.
