We went there as a family on October 31st, around lunchtime. The place was empty, literally. My gut feeling told me it wasn't a good sign. Since it was cold outside and we were hungry, we stayed anyway. Without jackets, it was uncomfortably cold inside. When we ordered, my husband wanted a non-alcoholic Italian beer. They didn't have it. Delivery problems. But they did have something else. There weren't any coloring supplies or even a small piece of paper for our daughter. Delivery problems, too. We ordered pasta arrabbiata, pasta bolognese, and chicken nuggets with fries for our child. Both pasta dishes had cold noodles, dipped in a stinking sauce. I've had bad Italian food in my life, but this slop deserves a complaint to the health department. Our child received a huge plate of fried bits; the portion would have been enough for two adults. It smelled just as awful as the pasta. The non-alcoholic beer probably hadn't been drinkable for years, just swill with a splash of vinegar. The waiter asked how it tasted, and I said you shouldn't eat that unless you want to get food poisoning. Then he tried to lecture me that arrabbiata might be a bit spicy and not for everyone. That was just too ridiculous. We paid the bill, about 60 euros, and left as fast as we could. The food was awful, and the drinks were the same. Okay, the apple spritzer for the kid was okay. Guys, if you need herpes and diarrhea, you should definitely visit this "restaurant." Otherwise, spend your money somewhere else where they actually know how to cook. I'm still considering filing a complaint. This kind of poison shouldn't be sold as food. Warning!

Super friendly, great service, delicious breakfast. We had coffee and cake at the new owner's place for the first time today. Very friendly service and the cake was incredibly delicious, but the restaurant smelled awful. Unbearable. Unfortunately!

Unfortunately, the cakes and coffee were great, the service was friendly, but it smelled very unpleasant and quieter, so I can't recommend it.

Mistakes happen. After I received the wrong meal, they apologized and promised me dessert and a drink. When I paid, the wrong meal was listed on the receipt, and the extras were forgotten.

We only visited the restaurant and sat outside on the promenade. The place was very nice, but the food, unfortunately, was not. We waited forever, the waiter didn't understand anything, and the food seemed to be ready and just being heated up. The pizza was soggy, the finger food was a mixture of frozen food and a deep fryer with way too much oil, the baked potato, hmm, yeah... lots of aluminum foil with sauce, not enough potatoes, and it definitely wasn't turkey either. But: the Alster was delicious.

We had to wait a long time for a server to arrive. Then we were able to place our order. When the food was delivered, we were rudely told that if we wanted something to eat next time, please go upstairs. Everything was blown away. That was really unfriendly. One server was very friendly, and the Sambucca was served really well. The view is beautiful; you can sit downstairs if you're not eating. 🙈

I had a very good meal and drink at Ristorante - Cafe - Pizzeria Strand No. 1. The value for money is excellent, as is the ambiance. The service, with its very friendly and helpful staff, is particularly noteworthy. I highly recommend it and will be back! PS: Thank you so much for the glass of Limoncè Spritz ;-)

This review refers to the restaurant. The food was excellent, the location beautiful. Unfortunately, the service in the outdoor area was not under control. Several guests had to wait forever for someone to arrive. By the time the food arrived, the service was practically out of reach. You had to practically grab hold of them if they "lost" themselves outside in the front row. As a guest, you felt "left behind." I also found the music too loud and rather distracting.

The butt doesn't get bigger... We don't get happier after eating either 😜

The food (three pizzas, one pasta dish, and tiramisu) was excellent. The selection was perfectly adequate and the quality very good. The service, at a quieter time, was impeccable: fast, polite, and a bit humorous. We didn't have to wait for anything, but we weren't rushed either, even though it gradually became more crowded and most of the tables seemed to be reserved. Overall, we were satisfied. Due to the weather, we sat inside; the decor is nice, though nothing special.

The last time I was served such a good apple strudel was about 40 years ago in South Tyrol. The entire restaurant also made a very clean impression, including the 🚽 🚻 .

First of all, I have to praise the staff; they're very friendly and make you feel welcome. The restaurant is chic, whether inside or outside, and, above all, it's in a great location. Most importantly, the food is truly delicious.

★★★☆☆ – Average, with room for improvement We had a tuna salad and spaghetti al pollo. The salad was okay, fresh, but rather unspectacular in terms of flavor. The spaghetti, on the other hand, was unfortunately heavily drenched in oil, and the chicken seemed unseasoned and somewhat carelessly prepared. The service was friendly but not particularly attentive – empty glasses remained on the table for a long time, and inquiries were delayed. The location right on the beach is a plus, though: you can sit beautifully overlooking the water, which definitely creates a vacation feeling.

So let's summarize: The restaurant is at least 10 percent full. I almost have to beg for a seat for two people. They speak virtually no German, leave us standing around for about five minutes (we should have left right away), and the entire staff seems absolutely unfriendly. They almost yell at me because they don't understand me (German!). We end up sitting at a middle table for two and are constantly being hit by a draft. The food was okay – albeit completely overpriced. The best part, however, is the nerve to address me – when I wanted to pay with cash – and this doesn't come across as a joke – with "ah, black money!" A little tip for the staff: if you bring cash, it's not uncommon! First, learn to speak German in the country where you do business before acting rudely! One time and never again! We really can't recommend it!

The seating is very nice...but the service is bad...also what we were served here...Lillet wildberry without fruit...after complaining we were given two fruits of indeterminate origin...vanilla ice cream was also out...there was only half a scoop...fruit anyway...although it was offered...oh well...communication in German was also difficult...cannot recommend it.

A very nice Italian restaurant near the beach. I visited this restaurant several times during my stays in SPO and was impressed every time. Very good food and excellent wines. Plus, outstanding service in a beautiful setting. This restaurant is definitely good value for money!

I ate at the restaurant there three times this week. I really enjoyed it; friendly service, a genuine Italian restaurant with fair prices, and the pizzas are delicious.

Three of us went out to dinner this evening, including our child. The waitresses were super friendly and attentive, the food came quickly, all at the same time, and was delicious! We'd go back anytime!

Hey, we went there for dinner today and the appetizer was a disaster. What's left over from the breakfast buffet that needs to go? 😩? Champignon spread cheese, onion mince without onions... We quickly paid and chose another restaurant for the main course.

We noticed the restaurant while strolling along the promenade. They were advertising a reasonably priced apple strudel special. The apple strudel was delicious, as were the waffles and cake. We then reserved a table for that evening. The pizza was incredibly delicious and huge. There were ten of us there, and everyone enjoyed it. The prices are reasonable, and I highly recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy it that much. The pizza was quite tasteless, and the salad had no dressing. The Italian waitress spoke to us in English. My Italian would have been even better, but she wasn't interested. We weren't impressed.

We had lunch here and were extremely satisfied! The prices are totally reasonable, and the Marietta pizza with its delicious vegetables is highly recommended. The front desk staff was also incredibly friendly and very helpful. We'd love to come back on our next visit :)

We've eaten at this restaurant twice now and were very satisfied both times. On our first visit, we ate in the restaurant. As a small gift beforehand, we received a bread basket with dip – a very nice gesture that made the start to the meal pleasant. Our main courses were the "Fitness Plate," the "Rump Steak," and, for our daughter, fries with nuggets. All the dishes were freshly prepared, tastefully balanced, and attractively presented. We were particularly pleased that the wait time for the main courses was pleasantly short – we didn't have to wait long, even though everything is freshly prepared. The service on this visit was excellent: The waiters were always attentive, friendly, and present without being intrusive. We felt completely in good hands. Since we were so impressed with our first visit, we ordered a second time shortly after – this time to go. We opted for pizza, lasagna, and bruschetta. Here, too, the quality of the food was impressive: everything was fresh, flavorful, and still warm when we ate it at home. Picking up was easy, and the service was just as friendly as the first time. Summary: An all-around successful dining experience—both in-store and takeout. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere won us over. We'd definitely be happy to return and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

We were there on the first weekend of May. From the reception to the rooms, everything was top-notch. We were even able to check into our room a few hours early. This is a testament to the impeccable organization. The location to the beach is great. Everything is within walking distance in just a few minutes. There's nothing to complain about! Delicious Italian food at typical SPO prices. Very attentive service. Family-friendly, and a huge kids' pizza at a fair price.

We were in SPO for the bike race and stopped at this restaurant. The waitress was very attentive. The restaurant was extremely busy, and the hot air was stagnant. The ventilation system seemed to be off or nonexistent. The food was okay. Two days later, we had coronavirus! Thanks for nothing!

Super delicious food! And here, Italian isn't just an advertisement; people speak and live Italian. We were very pleasantly surprised by the Italian atmosphere. The spaghetti al pollo, the salmon, and the insalta mista were all excellent. The dolci were the perfect finishing touch, grazie mille!

Unfortunately no. The service took a lot of time, even though there were hardly any customers. The prices are a bit high, but okay for the location. It was also a shame that the existing heaters were simply switched off despite the cold and wind.

Lokal ist mittlerweile italienisch in gehobernerem Stil. Gerichte sind einfach traumhaft. Nicht nur geschmacklich hervorragend, sondern auch für das Auge sehr ansprechend. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, das auch auf individuelle Wünsche des Gastes eingeht. Sehr schönes Ambiente und eine gemütliche Sonnenterrasse direkt hinter dem Deich im Ortsteil Bad.

Tolles italienisches Restaurant. Wir waren spontan zum Abendessen dort. Sehr gutes Essen und aufmerksamer netter Service, wir hatten 2x Pizza und sehr guten Primitivo. Auch beim bezahlen wurde noch ein Getränk gereicht und gescherzt. Von uns eine Empfehlung.

Please never have breakfast there, for 22 euros only hard baked rolls from the day before and only one kind. Cheese and sausage very dried out. This runs through the entire offer.

We went to the restaurant for coffee. There was a very fair offer: apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and cream and a cappuccino for €6.50. Very friendly, attentive service and great ambience.

We visited the Ristorante, so we cannot rate the hotel. Stayed in SPO for three nights and are eating there for the third time, that alone speaks for itself. :-) The staff is ultra attentive and quick, the whole atmosphere is feel-good. The food tastes incredibly good, the portions are very generous. You get a lot of value for your money and go home completely satisfied after your meal.

The lasagna arrived after just 10 minutes. It was very hot on the outside and lukewarm on the inside. Then we realized they were using a microwave. We expected more from Strand No. 1. The music was way too loud, it was annoying. We won't be coming back.

2.1.25. Unfortunately we didn't even get to enjoy the café/restaurant!! We wanted to enjoy coffee ☕️🍰 and cake with 6 people in the early afternoon, almost all tables of 4 were occupied by 2 people. It was not possible to ask one of the guests to move so that two tables could be put together. So we promptly received a rejection and that it would not be possible to accommodate us. Unfortunately there is no spontaneity and not all restaurants/cafés want to make money. 🤷‍♀️

We spent 4 days on vacation at the Strand No 1 Hotel over New Year's Eve. Very warm and friendly. The room was great. The breakfast was buffet style and very varied and very good! The service is very warm and attentive. In the evening you can eat very good Italian food in the restaurant.

Now this is an Italian, Da Gigi. Great ambience and delicious food, bruchetta and pizzas were great, as well as great service.

I rate the pizzeria that now exists in Strand No 1. Food is a matter of taste, so my (our) opinion is of course subjective. We were at Strand No1 a few days ago and had pizza. Very tasty, really well topped, thin dough, huge! As a greeting from the kitchen there was a pizza bread with tomato sauce and pesto, also delicious. Today we were there again and had lasagne, also rich and delicious... And of course the pizza bread. The service was always friendly. Food and drinks were brought quickly. The prices are absolutely in keeping with the world. The furnishings are cozy and, above all, not cramped. In short, if we go to a pizzeria in SPO Bad, it's Strand No1.

We went in April without a table reservation and were completely thrilled. Now in October we made a reservation but were not asked for the name when we arrived and were brought to an emergency table for two a bit hectically. The service noticed that we were not amused. A colleague then apologized and we were seated at the right table. The fine menu is no longer available. Instead, a map in the form of a placemat that is not very clear. The delicious greeting from the kitchen was also abolished. The starter of beef carpaccio looked delicious and tasted very good. Unfortunately no bread was served. The Frittura Mista was high quality. There was no bread here either. The Diavola Piccante pizza wasn't spectacular but it was also tasty. Food good to very good. The service can be expanded.

Super cold shop. Staff seem to be funny when you ask them to close the doors. Limoncello Spritz was tasty. After the starter we preferred to move on…

We were there for dinner and can't say anything about the hotel, so we won't rate the rooms. We really liked the restaurant, especially the food was very good.

Never again... The 2 waffles for our children were still not ready after 30 minutes. The next table felt the same way. That really can't be true. When we paid we were told: "Then don't sit down in a café if you can't wait." The waiter walked past dirty tables several times and then suddenly disappeared. Impossible. It's a shame that there is such a restaurant in such a great location.

Very nice and courteous service. 4 stars for the service because there is a certain language barrier and one or two things fall by the wayside. Absolutely awesome pizzas. Fresh, super-class pasta is processed. Gladly again.

We had reserved and were welcomed very nicely. We were immediately taken to a free table and immediately asked if we wanted a drink. The menus were brought to us with the drinks. Our order came to the table after a short wait, even though the restaurant and the terrace were very full. Ate very well. Antipasto for two people. Very very good. Pasta and pizza are also very tasty. Three visits to Beach No. 1 in a 10-day stay speak for themselves. Very pleasant atmosphere, really nice and quick staff. Food great. We'd love to come back.

A well-attended Italian restaurant in a good location on the dike. I was there alone for dinner. The pasta with scampi "da Gigi" with a few scampi and a small portion overall on a flat plate for just under 22 euros and a drink. The beer arrived to me without foam. Overall, the team makes a somewhat disorganized impression, which is not made up for by the Italian charm and courtship of the guests. Personally, I think the food is a bit overpriced. Some pizzas are available at normal prices.

A great Italian restaurant right on the promenade. Bad weather, so everyone wanted to eat inside. The restaurant was very busy and yet the waiter conjured up a small table for us. All the waiters were very accommodating, the food was great and a grappa on the house at the end of the evening. We'll be back.

Luca app mandatory and incredibly unfriendly reception. Comment on the answer: We were rejected in a very unfriendly manner during the Corona period because we didn't want to use the Luca app as a data dumper. I don't know why I should write anything here other than exactly what we experienced.
