Friendly and quick service. The food tastes good and the ambience is good too. Another guest room is on the 1st floor, with a view of the old stream.

Very good value for money, excellent food and friendly, competent service. Also suitable for larger groups. I recommend the sea bass fillet with wild broccoli.

Today we stopped by for dinner again after a few years. As always, it was a very tasty meal. The fall herring was first class. As always, your staff was really great.

A big disappointment. The ambience and service are nice, but the food doesn't match the price. None of the 3 dishes we ordered (Matjes Trilogie, stuffed roast with plums, cod with mustard butter) were able to convince us in terms of taste. Given the high prices, we had higher expectations.

During our short visit to Rostock, we spontaneously had dinner at the Herberts restaurant in Warnemünde. The restaurant is located right on the river and has a lovely outdoor terrace. Since it was getting quite cool in the evening, we ate in the restaurant, which is also nicely decorated. Our waitress was very friendly and took the time to answer questions about the dishes. We chose the halibut in egg shell and the lumberjack steak. As a starter we shared the spicy meat. The dishes and drinks came very promptly. We really enjoyed the main courses and the portions were very large. Unfortunately, the “homemade” seasoned meat didn’t quite suit our taste, but it was still good All in all, we would definitely eat there again. The price/performance ratio is good for the location.

Wow!!! I was a chef in fine dining for over 30 years. I discovered this restaurant on a business trip with my colleague. After we, as fish lovers, ate the fried pike-perch on pointed cabbage, it was clear that we would reserve a table again for the next evening. The pike perch was fried on the skin, nice and crispy and nice and juicy and translucent on the flesh side. It doesn't get any better. The pointed cabbage in cream was also unparalleled. Not soggy and perfectly seasoned. The next evening we had fried cod with leeks and mustard butter. Again, the taste was perfect and fried to perfection. My conclusion is: great, cozy restaurant with very good service. The chef not only knows how to process fish, but also knows how to prepare side dishes. Chapeau, I'm looking forward to my next business trip to Warnemünde.

We will remember our visit to Herberts for a long time. The friendly, courteous service and the excellently prepared food were not only pleasing to the eye but also a real pleasure. We would be happy to visit Herberts again on our next stay in Warnemünde.

Just stopped by for quick meal/coffee and tea. Greated immediately and offered any seat. Wonderful menu with many choices especially on drinks is extensive. Our young waiter was very very accommodating and friendly. Our very first meal in Germany was so pleasant way better service than we experienced trying to order fish at the food truck nearby!! Highly recommend this restaurant with the best views!!

According to the waitress, there are no milk alternatives on offer. Completely unsuitable for people with food intolerances. The ambience looked nice, one star for that, but then we looked elsewhere.

We have been there several times in the last few years, both downstairs on the terrace for coffee with delicious waffles and ice cream and upstairs on the balcony for dinner in the last two days. Fantastic! The staff has changed except for the boss and one waiter, but the new colleagues also make the stay special. Always a quick chat and competent information. Well, the dinner was great, including what we heard from neighboring tables. The fish comes fresh from the cutter. Special praise goes to the chef!

Yesterday we had dinner at Herberts Restaurant. Arrived at the right time to get a table outside. There is a large selection of food. I had potato soup as a starter and I chose veal liver for the main course, it was super tasty and a really big portion. The other steak and salad were also said to be very tasty. Finally, I had to tell our waiter that he was super attentive and did a really good job. Really perfect service, great guy! We were very satisfied overall and will come back on our next visit to the north.

We have been coming here to eat every now and then over the last few years. The food yesterday was good, although expensive. Charging 7.10 euros for a bottle of mineral water can hardly be explained by increased energy costs, personnel costs, environmental regulations, global economic crisis, Russian embargo or Corona. Water remains water.

I had a reservation “upstairs & outside” based on the recommendation of a friend. Great ambience, large selection of fish with a great view/backdrop. Food was just right. Gladly again.

Out of 3 waiters only 2 work!!! The blonde waitress at our table wasn't service oriented at all - you could tell she wasn't in the mood. She didn't know the simplest forms of politeness, it's a shame, the food and the ambience were great, the other two waiters were super nice...

We ate here for the first time today. We were served by a young man who unfortunately lacked friendliness. Maybe he didn't like our face either. An order was placed but it was not yet complete. We were here for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, you immediately feel at home and everything was clean. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We also only waited a very short time for our drinks and food. There are several vegetarian dishes, which we really liked. We were there for dinner and wanted to eat fish. Very good, extensive offer. It was perfectly prepared and served on large plates. The staff was very friendly and gave us detailed advice and fulfilled our special requests. Price and performance are also okay. We say thank you.

We ate here for the first time today and were very impressed. The children's portion (schnitzel with fries) was quite large, so my 11-year-old daughter couldn't finish it. My pork tenderloin with croquettes and mushrooms was outstanding. The waiter was polite and attentive without being intrusive. The only point of criticism is that there wasn't a single piece of vegetables on the children's plate - my daughter also really regretted this. We'd love to come back!

Location great, waiter okay, food tasty but expensive…for a melon salad (I was actually expecting different melons) a good 16 euros. Way too expensive! The pieces are too big. You could also offer the hyped melon-feta sandwich :-) but a completely different question: What eggnog did you serve there?! It was very tasty and really yellow/orange (which I don't actually know)

Gestern Abend habe ich meinen 50. Geburtstag mit über 30 Gästen im HERBERTS gefeiert. Ich bin einfach nur begeistert. Die Lage in Warnemünde ist ja schon top, aber auch der Service und die Qualität der Speisen waren sehr gut. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen! Danke an Frau Olschewski für diese tolle Organisation!

Such a nice restaurant, but the waiter was a disaster. The food was already cold because people were still flirting with the ladies at the next table. Besides, my husband wasn't full. Well, what can you ask for at €26.😕 Not recommended, it's a shame actually.

Today we had an ice cream sundae with the family, both of the children didn't want to eat the ice cream because the cream and chocolate chips weren't tasty for them at all, that's not their style. Unfortunately, all I can say about my ice cream sundae is that I like the garnish and I come from the industry myself...! The employee came across as very bored and somehow annoyed….! Let’s enjoy it or something similar…..unfortunately that wasn’t what we wanted either…. You just do something like that...! The toilets were clean!

Irony in "The first restaurant to offer cream puff biscuits and cream" Irony in. To be honest, as a trained chef, I have never eaten such a dry cream puff. It was more like rusks with tasteless cream. I choked half of it down for you, that was all I could do. When I pointed this out to the waitress, the waitress's friendliness rapidly diminished. .. oh and you have to smell the toilet, there aren't even any signs for it upstairs.

Way too expensive for what you get.

Melon salad consists of pickled melon, which is not on the menu. A pity. Other than “I’m sorry it didn’t taste good,” no further interest. The food was almost completely returned and payment was made in full.

We ate there 4 times in 2023 and absolutely loved it. Now we were back in 2024, with the impression of 2023. The waiter was very abrupt and seemed rather unfriendly. The employees' conversations revolved around: few guests, cancellations and their frustration was palpable. The weather was cold and rainy... despite understanding the situation in the catering industry... you should probably deal with paying guests differently. In other restaurants, over the 10 days, we experienced full houses, very good food and cheerful staff. A pity. Very unfortunate. Please find your good mood, your quality of food and your professional manner. Then the weather can't do anything for you either.

Last Thursday (June 13th, 2024) the three of us had dinner at “Herberts”. To be on the safe side, we reserved the table online and everything went well. The service, a young waiter, was attentive and accompanied and advised us the entire time. I found it to be pleasant guest service. The order was taken accordingly quickly and the drinks were brought. My "Berliner Weisse" glass was quite bulky, you could hardly hold it with one hand. You should come up with something else. To eat: My wife ordered "Dialogue of scampi and scallops in a sweet and spicy coconut sauce with a baguette". My sister-in-law chose "Green halibut in an egg shell on vegetable spaghetti with triplet potatoes". I really had an appetite for meat and so I ordered an 800 gr. porterhouse steak. However, I wonder who would come up with the idea of ​​serving a home-baked baked potato with potato cream and garlic baguette. The baguette is okay. but baked potato? I then logically switched to fried potatoes, which of course costs extra again... The porterhouse steak was grilled to perfection, medium rare, just as I wanted it. What was annoying was a stringy spot on the steak that you couldn't bite, chew or even eat. The only solution: spit it out. The cook has to remove something like that first! Second problem: there were no typical dips or sauces for the steak. The only thing was a garlic cream. In my opinion, that's a bit pathetic considering how much a porterhouse steak costs. In my opinion, a lot of the enjoyment of eating is lost. All I can say about the halibut and scallops is: everything was great, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. This is the third or fourth time we have been here and the food and service have been outstanding every time. But you have to do better with the steak, to be honest I was a bit disappointed. I hope next time everything will be as it was before without me having to criticize anything.

Cool restaurant with delicious food

We were here for the first time... We had booked the table in advance, but it wasn't actually necessary. The service came quickly, as did the first drinks. The food was okay, no special nuances. I ordered wild boar steak, which you don't usually eat that often. Ordered medium and guess what... I almost finished it. I also told the waitress, but she wasn't interested in taking care of me. A pity. And another note, you can earn money from drinks!!! But they didn't really want to either. I can certainly understand it if the store is full. But it wasn't that. I won't come again...

Thank you for a lovely evening. The food was excellent (halibut in egg pannade), the service as it should be: attentive but never intrusive. The view of the old river is also added. All in all a successful evening.

The tomahawk for two people was super tasty and an experience

Very good food, great service, employees are always up for a joke and very friendly. A star deduction for the "ambience", although it is very nice and tastefully decorated: when the restaurant is full, it is so loud that you can no longer have a conversation with the people sitting next to you. Otherwise a nice experience, we'll be back!

We have never had such delicious food. My husband never eats salad. But here he discovered salad for himself. Starter with scampi. We had asparagus with rum steak and fried potatoes as the main course. As a dessert, goat cheese with wild herb salad. The dishes were delicious. Pure taste experience. Super nice service. Chef comes personally to his Guests.Gives great answers to questions. Portions were sufficient. I'm bursting 😂 also how the plates are arranged. A dream. We highly recommend it. Keep it up. The boss Dani works with us, great! We were extremely happy with the food and drink selection. We were given very good advice. The rump steak and salmon were very tasty and are highly recommended. The ambience is great. Located right on the water. The toilets are very clean. We can only recommend this restaurant!

Die Chefin Dani arbeitet mit, super! Wir waren äußerst zufrieden mit der Speisen - und Getränkeauswahl. Wir wurden sehr gut beraten. Das Rumpsteak und Lachs waren sehr fein und sind gut zu empfehlen. Das Ambiente ist top. Direkt am Wasser gelegen. Die WCs sind sehr sauber. Wir können dieses Lokal nur empfehlen!

Very friendly service and the food was very good, although a little more expensive

The meals were very tasty and plentiful. Mulled wine is always in season here, which is rare. We took advantage of that. I've never had a Baileys latte this good, and I highly recommend it. Despite the rain, we sat on the terrace in a dry place. There were blankets spread everywhere and the small fireplaces provided additional warmth. The ambience invited you to linger.

The service here is very friendly and very accommodating. The food is delicious and overall the Herberts restaurant is recommended when visiting Warnemünde.

The fish platter was rich and fresh. A little more spice and less sauce would have benefited the dish. Even the snow peas were in the sauce. The biggest drawback is no separate area for non-smoking guests who also want to dine outside. Even at lunchtime. This criticism should be heard or read. Spontaneously there was still a table available on the 1st floor. We were served by a luminary of a waiter who was always eloquent with funny counterattacks. Now about the food. Had reserved a table via the website for 8 p.m., 1st floor, candle light dinner. Got an email the next day that they would no longer offer CLD and the 1st floor was fully booked. Well, if we had a table on the ground floor. However, this was placed right next to the front door, which was definitely a table for walk-ins. In addition, the upper floor was almost empty. The ambience could have been good if we hadn't had a table in the middle of the path of the waiters who kept darting past us. The other guests were a bit too loud and a bit too drunk that evening, which ruined the mood. The food was a bit too expensive for the quality offered. But we finally lost our appetite when one of the employees came out from behind the counter - with a vest that was much too small, so that his stomach was hanging out under the vest. We won't come back.

Hier hatte ich ein schönes Date. Wir haben Pizza gegessen und konnten die wunderschöne Aussicht vom Balkon aus genießen. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, genauso wie der Service!

Meine Geburtstagsfeier fand bereits im September mit 30 Gästen statt, dennoch möchte ich nochmals Danke sagen. Für die vorab stattgefundene Absprache mit der Restaurantleiterin,tolle Bewirtung, die schön hergerichtete Tafel, das super Büfett, das freundliche und engagierte Personal und das leckere Essen! Es war eine unglaublich schöne und unvergessliche Party. Alle meine Gäste waren sehr zufrieden.

Sehr gute Küche und sehr aufmerksames Service. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verzeichnis! Auch die Waffeln sind sehr zu empfehlen!

Das essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr nett und aufmerksam. Wir hatten Seeteufel und Rumpsteak die Garpunkte waren super getroffen und die Beilagen sehr passend. Einziges Manko war die Wein Beratung zum gewählten Essen.

Als erstes muss ich sagen, das Essen war super, das Personal super freundlich genauso die Räumlichkeiten sehr gemütlich, aber was gar nicht geht ist die große Stufe, die zwar minimal beleuchtet ist aber man sehr schnell über sehen kann, und genau das ist meine Mutter passiert, wir waren dann zwei Tage später beim Arzt, wir mussten... eine schwere Prellung an dem linken Daumen und noch heute hat sie Probleme den Daumen zu bewegen. Vielleicht wäre es möglich für andere Gäste die Stufe zu markieren, gerade weil die Ecke auch sehr dunkel war. Trotz allem war es sehr schön und es hatte auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Und ich würde mich freuen wenn ich das nächste mal komme immer noch so herzlich ist. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Sebastian

💯% Sehr gutes Essen, jemand Kocht dort der noch weiß wie es geht zb das Schweinefilet mit Kroketten und Jus, einfach lecker. Fischplatte war auch sehr gut. Der Service ist gut aufgestellt und aufmerksam. Preis Leistung stimmt. Wir kommen wieder. Danke.
