Very nice view, food was great, although we are not fish lovers, we both chose a fish dish and were not disappointed! Highly recommended!

So hmmm... My curry was rather sober, it wasn't just salt that was missing. The mashed potatoes were too salty for the other 5 guests. The service was top notch. I particularly liked the man with the shaker. The chef is certainly still capable of learning.

Perfect spot overlooking the harbor happening. On the upper terrace a nice place to rush towards the sun 🌞 in the afternoon. Fast and courteous service. The plated dishes looked tempting.

If you want to enjoy Warnemünde, you should come here. Most beautiful place! On the sun terrace on the Alter Strom with a view of the fishing boats, seagulls, the river and the row of houses on the opposite bank, flower beds all the way to the lighthouse. The menu is varied. Everything that is ordered is visually appealing and lovingly prepared and prepared to perfection. Kudos to the kitchen! Praise to the service: accommodating, caring, quick, happy to adapt to the guest's wishes. Last but not least, another pleasant surprise: the ambience in the toilet. Everything excellent, definitely come back 😀

Great restaurant with great staff. Quick, one. Sayings on the lips and the food was great. The herrings are a pleasure from the first bite. When you're there you definitely have to go to the toilet, the wallpaper is amazing. All in all a great restaurant and a great evening.

We were guests there on Saturday with 7 people and didn't feel satisfied with a high-priced restaurant in Warnemünde with a lot of local competition. First of all, all the drinks arrived differently in 3 stages within a time window of 8 minutes. In addition, the portions were definitely not enough for everyone, everyone was still hungry after eating, we even had to order a large waffle with ice cream for the child because the portion was empty in 3 minutes. The good filet mignon was ordered well-done, unfortunately it arrived medium-rare. Some of the baked potatoes were 1/3 raw and not edible. Unfortunately, this was a spontaneous visit as there was no more space in the neighboring shops. Definitely the last visit when it comes to value for money.

We went there spontaneously, rather by chance as all the other restaurants were full. But it was a great coincidence. Very tasty food. Top preparation. Very good selection. Something for everyone. We had skrei and cod, first the wild mushroom soup. Very very tasty. Great wine selection, all wines listed are offered as 0.2, 0.5 or as a bottle. Staff very competent and friendly. A wonderful afternoon at HERBERTS We spent a very special afternoon with the family at HERBERTS in Warnemünde - a farewell celebration that became an unforgettable experience thanks to this wonderful place. The location on the Alter Strom offers a beautiful backdrop that is perfect for cozy hours. We sat together in a relaxed atmosphere and were well looked after by the warm and attentive service. The employees took time for us, were friendly and always looked after our well-being. We were particularly impressed by the excellent quality of the food and drinks. Food perfect and as always really nice service. Today the upper floor was not open, unfortunately. It's kind of like sitting downstairs in a stairwell.

As a holidaymaker, we spontaneously asked for a free table for dinner, and despite it being busy, this wasn't a problem. The food was prepared quickly and freshly. My fish with chanterelles and mashed potatoes was very tasty and the portion was sufficient. The staff was very nice and friendly. I'll definitely come back here on my next vacation.

Very friendly staff and great atmosphere! 4 stars for the ambience because we sat directly under the loudspeaker that filled the entire room. Loud and rather annoying. After staying in the restaurant for over an hour, you could slowly smell the kitchen in the entire restaurant area and unfortunately it wasn't as appetizing as you would have liked. Toilets are on the first floor and the children's portion was huge for the price. We even got something to paint and everyone was extremely patient, but paying took a little longer. The food tasted great and was deliciously prepared. We would come again.

I ate here years ago and was very disappointed with it. The ambience is nice, but the food is not. Now after a few years, the owner of the restaurant keeps trying to have the bad reviews deleted. Most of the time he manages it, because after many years you can no longer prove that you were here. So, it's better to look at other people's plates before entering the restaurant.

We had a great New Year's Eve event at Herberts. Well thought out and managed. The service is friendly. But the brunette lady from the service is particularly worth mentioning, it's amazing what this woman does. She is definitely a top performer! For us, the food is rather average when compared to other restaurants in Warnemünde. Sometimes something special is missing. But the ambience and overall interaction in the house invites you to be a guest there. We also loved the schnapps. Thank you for the great turn of the year and all the best to the team!

Restaurant Herberts, we are here a little involuntarily. :) but that's another story. This time we are a larger group who just want to have a delicious meal just before the turn of the year. So into Herberts.... Subdued, quiet music, clean tables, very nicely furnished and clean toilets. Very nice staff. And I believe there is something for everyone. The price is a little higher than our normal restaurant visits... But ok. We once had pasta with tomato sauce for our dwarf. He really enjoyed it... Very good, no flaws. His food also came early, for starters, so that he could take his time eating. I had the fish platter (fried fish), with saffron sauce, snow peas and fried potatoes (originally with rice). The fish wasn't seasoned enough for me, but of course pepper and salt were available, so that's good. Unfortunately I found the salmon a bit too dry, probably in the pan for a few seconds too long. The other fish fillets were very well fried until translucent. See photos. There were also pink fried pork medallions, which we said were very tasty, but not pink, but fried. Not too dry, but not pink. There were also freshly fried mushrooms... Very harmonious and also delicious. My, purely personal, impression that the kitchen wants to exude an upscale flair, which unfortunately doesn't quite work... But it's good and nicely prepared. I think we will be able to come here again...

Unfortunately the food was served lukewarm and was there after 5 minutes. I think everyone knows what's going on. Due to the uneaten dish, a plaice that was lukewarm and mushy, certainly frozen goods that were offered as “fresh” together with cold potatoes and cucumber salad, €5 was taken off the bill. The service was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was nice, but unfortunately it was a disappointment if you were looking for fresh fish. Priced very high. Too bad.

A nice looking restaurant right on the harbor. Unfortunately the service is lackluster and the food is hardly edible. My lumberjack steak from the daily menu was unfortunately half raw and therefore inedible. When I asked, I was told that well-done pork tastes like nothing. I left this commented. Never again

Worst restaurant visit of my life It took exactly 4 minutes until we had the card. The waiter who showed us where we were sitting only had time to chat with his colleagues instead of bringing us the menu. After we ordered, the waitress came to us and said that she was sorry and that she had forgotten to order our food in the kitchen, which caused my pulse to rise to 180. If we didn't have a 2.5 hour drive home we would have left. After repeatedly saying no if I wanted something at the expense of the house, something still came and I sent it away again. No reasonable table allocation by the waiters. The food was ok, unfortunately I can't say more about it because I was just hungry after we had our food after an hour even though the restaurant wasn't full. Nobody knows who was at which table. We visited this restaurant for the first and last time. A nice day trip was ruined by this experience.

Wir waren mit zwei Familien zum Mittagessen im Herberts. Wir haben Waffeln, Apfelstrudel, Fischsuppe, Kürbissuppe und Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln gegessen. Alle Speisen waren sehr lecker, schön angerichtet und frisch. Service war sehr gut. Die Terasse am alten Strom ist sehr schön.

Wir waren während unserem Kurzbesuch in Rostock im Restaurant Herberts in Warnemünde spontan zu Abend essen. Das Restaurant liegt direkt am Strom und verfügt über eine schöne Außenterrasse. Da es abends schon recht kühl wurde, aßen wir im Restaurant, welches auch schön eingerichtet ist. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und nahm sich auch die Zeit, um Fragen zu Gerichten zu beantworten. Wir entschieden uns für den Heilbutt in Eihülle und das Holzfällersteak. Als Vorspeise teilten wir uns das Würzfleisch. Die Gerichte und die Getränke kamen sehr zeitnah. Die Hauptgerichte schmeckten uns sehr gut und die Portionen waren sehr groß. Das „selbstgemachte“ Würzfleisch traf leider nicht ganz unseren Geschmack, war aber trotzdem gut . Alles in Allem würden wir auf jeden Fall dort nochmal essen gehen. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist für die Lage gut.

During our short visit to Rostock, we spontaneously had dinner at the Herberts restaurant in Warnemünde. The restaurant is located right on the river and has a lovely outdoor terrace. Since it was getting quite cool in the evening, we ate in the restaurant, which is also nicely decorated. Our waitress was very friendly and took the time to answer questions about the dishes. We chose the halibut in egg shell and the lumberjack steak. As a starter we shared the spicy meat. The dishes and drinks came very promptly. We really enjoyed the main courses and the portions were very large. Unfortunately, the “homemade” seasoned meat didn’t quite suit our taste, but it was still good All in all, we would definitely eat there again. The price/performance ratio is good for the location.

Wow!!! I was a chef in fine dining for over 30 years. I discovered this restaurant on a business trip with my colleague. After we, as fish lovers, ate the fried pike-perch on pointed cabbage, it was clear that we would reserve a table again for the next evening. The pike perch was fried on the skin, nice and crispy and nice and juicy and translucent on the flesh side. It doesn't get any better. The pointed cabbage in cream was also unparalleled. Not soggy and perfectly seasoned. The next evening we had fried cod with leeks and mustard butter. Again, the taste was perfect and fried to perfection. My conclusion is: great, cozy restaurant with very good service. The chef not only knows how to process fish, but also knows how to prepare side dishes. Chapeau, I'm looking forward to my next business trip to Warnemünde.

Just stopped by for quick meal/coffee and tea. Greated immediately and offered any seat. Wonderful menu with many choices especially on drinks is extensive. Our young waiter was very very accommodating and friendly. Our very first meal in Germany was so pleasant way better service than we experienced trying to order fish at the food truck nearby!! Highly recommend this restaurant with the best views!!

We have been there several times in the last few years, both downstairs on the terrace for coffee with delicious waffles and ice cream and upstairs on the balcony for dinner in the last two days. Fantastic! The staff has changed except for the boss and one waiter, but the new colleagues also make the stay special. Always a quick chat and competent information. Well, the dinner was great, including what we heard from neighboring tables. The fish comes fresh from the cutter. Special praise goes to the chef!

Yesterday we had dinner at Herberts Restaurant. Arrived at the right time to get a table outside. There is a large selection of food. I had potato soup as a starter and I chose veal liver for the main course, it was super tasty and a really big portion. The other steak and salad were also said to be very tasty. Finally, I had to tell our waiter that he was super attentive and did a really good job. Really perfect service, great guy! We were very satisfied overall and will come back on our next visit to the north.

I had a reservation “upstairs & outside” based on the recommendation of a friend. Great ambience, large selection of fish with a great view/backdrop. Food was just right. Gladly again.

We have been coming here to eat every now and then over the last few years. The food yesterday was good, although expensive. Charging 7.10 euros for a bottle of mineral water can hardly be explained by increased energy costs, personnel costs, environmental regulations, global economic crisis, Russian embargo or Corona. Water remains water.

Out of 3 waiters only 2 work!!! The blonde waitress at our table wasn't service oriented at all - you could tell she wasn't in the mood. She didn't know the simplest forms of politeness, it's a shame, the food and the ambience were great, the other two waiters were super nice...

We ate here for the first time today and were very impressed. The children's portion (schnitzel with fries) was quite large, so my 11-year-old daughter couldn't finish it. My pork tenderloin with croquettes and mushrooms was outstanding. The waiter was polite and attentive without being intrusive. The only point of criticism is that there wasn't a single piece of vegetables on the children's plate - my daughter also really regretted this. We'd love to come back!

Location great, waiter okay, food tasty but expensive…for a melon salad (I was actually expecting different melons) a good 16 euros. Way too expensive! The pieces are too big. You could also offer the hyped melon-feta sandwich :-) but a completely different question: What eggnog did you serve there?! It was very tasty and really yellow/orange (which I don't actually know)

Die Lage in Warnemünde ist ja schon top, aber auch der Service und die Qualität der Speisen waren sehr gut. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen! Today we had an ice cream sundae with the family, both of the children didn't want to eat the ice cream because the cream and chocolate chips weren't tasty for them at all, that's not their style. Unfortunately, all I can say about my ice cream sundae is that I like the garnish and I come from the industry myself...! The employee came across as very bored and somehow annoyed….! Let’s enjoy it or something similar…..unfortunately that wasn’t what we wanted either…. You just do something like that...! The toilets were clean!

Irony in "The first restaurant to offer cream puff biscuits and cream" Irony in. To be honest, as a trained chef, I have never eaten such a dry cream puff. It was more like rusks with tasteless cream. I choked half of it down for you, that was all I could do. When I pointed this out to the waitress, the waitress's friendliness rapidly diminished. .. oh and you have to smell the toilet, there aren't even any signs for it upstairs.
