Very tasty fish platter - but the highlight was the baked apple dessert. Never had a better baked apple. Filled with lots of marzipan, nuts, raisins and delicious vanilla sauce. Thank you for this enjoyable experience. ❤️

Very great restaurant and extremely dog ​​friendly. When we arrived, there was already a drinking bowl and a small hand-packed bag of various dog biscuits waiting at our reserved table. Service extremely friendly and personable. The food was also very tasty. Here the chef can also be a little bolder when it comes to spicy dishes (cucumber salad). (However, it is better to season it yourself rather than have it too spicy.) The sauce on the fish plate was highly praised by everyone. We definitely recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back ourselves.

At least once a year we eat dinner in the chain locker. The dishes are absolutely great in terms of taste and size. The service is quick and super friendly, great music in the background. This year we were there twice, why ;-) We'll be happy to come back next year, thank you very much.

The food itself was very tasty and the price was right for the place. When it comes to the topic of additional benefits, I was wondering who would come up with something like that. So charging €4 for a side dish change from boiled to fried potatoes, charging €6 for dividing a dish onto two plates simply because you want to share something and charging €2.50 for using the toilet for non-guests, That seems a little inappropriate to me.

For the exchange of side dishes (potatoes in fried potatoes) a surcharge of €4 was charged. A surcharge of 6 euros is charged for dividing the meal into two plates... outrageous!!! ... and you have to pay 2.50 to use the toilet as a "non-guest"... that's unbelievable 😥😥

Preise und Portionen „sportlich“; Bierpreis hat Oktoberfest-Niveau. Ist eben Touristen Hochburg. Was nach m.M. aber total überzogen ist, ist der Aufschlag für Beilagen-Änderung: statt Salzkartoffeln Bratkartoffeln 4,00 € Aufschlag! In jedem guten Restaurant ist eine Beilagen Änderung selbstverständlich.

The cod was super tasty. Unfortunately the portion was really small. Just a small piece of fish, some puree with grated coconut and carrots. Unfortunately nothing to fill you up for €25. One comment was completely ignored by the waiter. The same thing at the next table. Really a shame, hence points deducted.

It was our first time here and the fish was super fresh and tender and the fried potatoes were so delicious that we immediately ordered an extra portion. Didn't have to wait long for the food either. Really highly recommended 👍

I think an alcohol-free restaurant is great. But €9 for a “Hugo”, which is a non-alcoholic soda with elderflower flavor???? The waiter pointed out the “alcohol-free” status when we ordered and so I was able to change my mind. The food was tasty and reasonable for the price. It's nice to sit by the Alter Strom and have something to look at. Gladly again👍🏻

We were in this restaurant for the first time today. We drank an Aperol Spritz. The service was great, very nice and very helpful. Since my husband is in a wheelchair. And my two miniature schnauzers received a gift 🎁 🎁 from the waitress. Because they were so sweet. I would like to thank you very much again for this. We'll definitely come. They both enjoyed it

Hello, unfortunately the iconic chain box is currently closed. The online reservation, which still works, is irritating, but leads completely nowhere.

All three of the burger buns we ordered were burnt. (see photo) Unfortunately, it wasn't stated on the board outside that the burger contains hot sauce. There were no daily specials on the menu. The seasoned meat contained meat with a lot of fat on it and the meat was lumpy. The service was ok. Unfortunately, no one asked whether the food was OK. Yes, the restaurant is quaint. You have to like it. It's not mine. My girlfriend was in the toilet and said it wasn't that nice.

The Labskaus was actually "vegetarian" (no trace of the usual beef filling...). It was probably a Labskaus in the “real Warnemünder” style...

When we are in Warnemünde, we go to the cozy chain locker. We also received a friendly welcome with our new puppy. Food great, service great, feeling great. Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

I was on vacation in Warnemünde and ended up in the chain locker while strolling. A restaurant with maritime decor combined with charm and good cuisine. The cook was canceled that day but they were able to offer me another dish. I ordered the pan fish advertised outside with fried potatoes in mustard sauce and was very pleasantly surprised. 👍

Our portions were significantly smaller than at other restaurants. There were always three Matjes Stardard there, here only two. The housewife-style sauce also didn't seem homemade and had no taste. Some of the fried potatoes were over fried. Really not recommended for the price and this quality. Based on our friendly feedback, our waitress at least offered us a free coffee.

Unfortunately, a manageable portion compared to other restaurants and the same dish. Homemade sauce? Rather not...

The food was very good (Matjes). The atmosphere is impressively maritime, but not intrusive.

Auf der Karte stand "Halbe Ente mit Klössen und Rotkohl", und wir dachten, dass es etwas Gutes sein muss. Schließlich war der Fisch immer ganz okay hier. ....doch was man uns aufgetischt hat, war eine einzige Frechheit! Die Klösse schmeckten nach NICHTS, sämig- matschig Konsistenz, ..Industrie-Pulver, aus einer grossen Metro- Box, mit Wasser angerührt. Der Rotkohl ohne ein einziges Gewürz! Weder Zwiebel noch Apfel noch Pfeffer, Salz, Lorbeer....Aus dem Glas von Aldi tausendmal besser. Die sog. ENTE: auweia, das meiste an der war gar nicht essbar. Übrigens: von Sosse war auf dem Teller nichts zu sehen. Der Kellnerin haben wir am Ende freundlich gesagt, wie wir das Essen fanden, doch es hat sie nicht interessiert, und lächelnd meinte sie " Das nächste Mal wohl besser wieder Fisch. "

(Auf Grund von Reichtum) ... nur bis 20:00 Uhr am Freitag warme Küche. Sensationell. Es war noch nie so schwer Geld im Restaurant auszugeben. Warnemünde macht es möglich!

The ambience (friendly and maritime), service (a very nice waitress) and food (very tasty) ensured that we spent a very nice evening in the chain box. There was nothing on the menu for the vegan except a salad plate, but the chef prepared fried potatoes without bacon and that was it.

Wir sind zwei mal im Jahr in Warnemünde und der Kettenkasten ist das absolut beste Restaurant am alten Strom. Kein Schnick/Schnack sondern einfach super leckeres Essen. Toller Service, gemütlich, einfach toll. Unbedingt Tisch reservieren!

Lecker gebratener Dorsch suf Kürbisgemüse und Salzkartoffeln. Auf alle Fälle muss man Platz vorbestellen. Es ist gemütlich und urig.

Ein richtig uriges Lokal, und das Essen schmeckt wirklich fantastisch und man merkt dass es hausgemacht ist und nicht irgendwelche künstliche Pampe, der Fisch war immer lecker, und das Personal richtig nett

Das Restaurant ist Si wie man es sich an der See vorstellt. Sehr gutes Essen. Es lohnt sich auf alle Fälle, am besten vorher reservieren.

Eine sehr gemütlich eingerichtete Gaststätte. Das Essen war sehr lecker und absolut ausreichend. Einzig die Toiletten sind auf Grund fehlender Belüftung etwas „stinki“.

Sehr urige Atmosphäre. Freundliche Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen. Wir hatten Soljanka, Salat, Hamburger Schnitzel und Hering in Sahnessoße mit Äpfeln und Zwiebeln sowie eine Flasche Selters und ein großes Rostocker. Portionsgrößen waren gut. Auf Nachfrage haben wir auch die Nährwertangaben erhalten, was für Diabetes-1-Betroffene wichtig ist (gibt nicht jeder an). Zu zweit haben wir für vorgenanntes 67 € bezahlt.

Urig und schon ewig am aAlten Strom ist der Kettenkasten. Gern auch mit musikalischer Untermalung. Das Angebot an Speisen ist gut. Die Fischsuppe und der Labskaus waren ebenfalls gute zubereitet. Fazit: Hier kann man Einkehren. Gute Küche und freundliche Mitarbeiter

Leckeres Essen, kurze Wartezeit, gerne wieder!

Einfach gut Essen Ich hatte Labskaus und meine Frau Sülze mit Bratkatoffeln und Remulade. Wir sassen heute mal dinner, weil draussen alles voll war, so konnten wir das Ambiente bestaunen was uns gut gefallen hat.

7,90€ för en 0,75 cl vatten!!! Det är verkligen oförskämt att ta så mycket betalt för en ”Selters still” när man beställer en sådan till maten. Hit kan man tydligen inte gå utan att bli lurad…

Haben hier zu Abend gegessen, das Essen war sehr gut, die Fischsuppe war kräftig, mit viel Einlage, danach gab es einmal Dorsch und einmal Scholle. Beides war sehr gut zubereitet und in ausreichender Menge... Die beiden Kindergerichte haben auch gepasst. Bodenständiges Essen zum aktuell für unsere Verhältnisse noch nomralen Preisen Inflationsbereinigt usw. Aber die Preise am alten Strom gehen sich halt nicht sehr auseinander, von daher alles gut

Zufällig,weil im Nachbarrestaurant der Service nicht klappte, hier eingekehrt. Und es war toll. Schönes Ambiente,gutes Essen, Portionen ausreichend, Service stimmt. Was will man als Gast mehr. Sehr zu empfehlen.
