Delicious food, friendly and attentive service, and an atmosphere adapted to the pre-Christmas season.

All three burger buns in our order were burnt. (see photo) Unfortunately, the fact that the burger contained hot sauce wasn't mentioned on the blackboard outside. The daily specials weren't listed on the menu inside. The service was okay. Yes, the restaurant is quaint. You either love it or hate it.

Super friendly, really fresh food, great atmosphere. The staff in Warnemünde are the best I've ever experienced, and I've seen quite a bit in my 75 years.

Although we didn't have a reservation, the four of us got a great table. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food; the appetizers and main courses were delicious, well-portioned, and freshly prepared. The staff were friendly and efficient. Excellent value for money!

It was a lovely visit. A very dog-friendly restaurant. Before the owner and his wife were given the menu, the dog was given a blanket, water, and treats. 😀👍 We would love to come back. Unfortunately, we didn't eat here, but the drinks were delicious and the service was excellent. 👍👍👍

We recently went here for dinner, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was very friendly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We weren't expecting this; we thought it would be a standard tourist meal, like almost everywhere else, unfortunately. It's not exactly cheap here, but I'd say it's worth the money. We definitely recommend it.

We've never had such bad aperitifs (watered down and hard to distinguish). The manager was unsympathetic to criticism. The waiter was very unfriendly, but the young waitress was okay. Not recommended!

We ate there on a short vacation! Lovely restaurant, good service, we sat outside. Drinks came quickly. We had two dishes from the lunch menu; the poultry was excellent, and the sweet carrots were also fantastic! The fried fish was a disappointment; it wasn't fresh pollock in beer batter.

The food at Kettenkasten was delicious and highly recommended. We were impressed by the quality and taste of the food. 👍 However, there are a few points that could be improved: - It would be more pleasant if each guest received their own menu directly from the waiter, instead of having to search for one themselves. - It would also be desirable if a napkin were served with each course—that is, the appetizer, main course, and dessert—and not just with the main course. All in all, a very nice restaurant with great cuisine, where a few small adjustments would make the experience even more pleasant. 😀

The food is unfortunately more beautiful than tasty. My lobster soup was quite tasteless & the matjesser was very salty. A bit of a shame but otherwise the place is nice with nice staff and environment

Anyone who charges 2.50 euros for a visit to the toilet should at least provide paper in the toilet.

It was great that if you were a little hungry, you could get a meal on two plates for a small surcharge. The food was visually and tastefully excellent, with the friendliest service.

We really enjoyed our visit to Kettenkasten! We ordered the burger and the spargel risotto—both were super tasty. The patio seating was comfortable and a great spot to relax and enjoy the food. All in all, a solid choice if you're in Warnemünde and want a good meal in a nice setting.

The fish was great, but the spiced meat was drenched in lemon. The worst thing I've ever eaten. The beer garden was packed, and the waitress was alone, but it's still not her job. Too bad, we would have loved to come back.

We ordered schnitzel au four and pike-perch, and both were highly recommended! We were pleasantly surprised by the taste. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend the restaurant.

Wanted to drink coffee and eat cake here today. It's not the season for cake yet (April 30th) So I only ordered drinking chocolate. The stuff tasted bad nothing. Probably only 2 teaspoons of Kaba in it - and that for 4.50 euros!!!! The purest tourist rip-off!!! Never again. It's very nice to sit on the terrace - 5 stars for that. Service was friendly. 1 star is too much for the drink.

Nette Atmosphäre, gutes Essen. Wir waren länger nicht hier, aber wurden angenehm überrascht. Dass es dennoch nicht zu fünf Punkten reicht, hat folgende zwei Gründe: 1. Wir wollten hier den Abend verbringen, aber schon eine Stunde vor der offiziellen Schließung wurde abkassiert. 2. Sollte man die Reservierung nicht wahrnehmen können, muss man sich spätestens vier Tage vorher abmelden, sonst drohen immense Strafzahlungen. Krank wird man aber zum Beispiel nicht planmäßig vier Tage zuvor.

Very tasty fish platter - but the highlight was the baked apple dessert. Never had a better baked apple. Filled with lots of marzipan, nuts, raisins and delicious vanilla sauce. Thank you for this enjoyable experience. ❤️

At least once a year we eat dinner in the chain locker. The dishes are absolutely great in terms of taste and size. The service is quick and super friendly, great music in the background. This year we were there twice, why ;-) We'll be happy to come back next year, thank you very much.

For the exchange of side dishes (potatoes in fried potatoes) a surcharge of €4 was charged. A surcharge of 6 euros is charged for dividing the meal into two plates... outrageous!!! ... and you have to pay 2.50 to use the toilet as a "non-guest"... that's unbelievable 😥😥

The food itself was very tasty and the price was right for the place. When it comes to the topic of additional benefits, I was wondering who would come up with something like that. So charging €4 for a side dish change from boiled to fried potatoes, charging €6 for dividing a dish onto two plates simply because you want to share something and charging €2.50 for using the toilet for non-guests, That seems a little inappropriate to me.

Preise und Portionen „sportlich“; Bierpreis hat Oktoberfest-Niveau. Ist eben Touristen Hochburg. Was nach m.M. aber total überzogen ist, ist der Aufschlag für Beilagen-Änderung: statt Salzkartoffeln Bratkartoffeln 4,00 € Aufschlag! In jedem guten Restaurant ist eine Beilagen Änderung selbstverständlich.

The cod was super tasty. Unfortunately the portion was really small. Just a small piece of fish, some puree with grated coconut and carrots. Unfortunately nothing to fill you up for €25. One comment was completely ignored by the waiter. The same thing at the next table. Really a shame, hence points deducted.

It was our first time here and the fish was super fresh and tender and the fried potatoes were so delicious that we immediately ordered an extra portion. Didn't have to wait long for the food either. Really highly recommended 👍
