LOTTI am Südstrand

A lovely beach restaurant with a long tradition. The stilt building and the magnificent views of the surrounding area create a unique atmosphere! It's not as crowded as its counterparts on the beach near St. Peter-Bad and on Ording beach – a welcome change. Simple but good food! We started with Lotti's tapas, followed by fish and chips and herring dishes. A worthwhile visit!

I stopped there for a break during my walk. I sat down outside, which offered a lovely view of the activity on the sandbank. The water was visible in the distance. I had a latte macchiato and a slice of sour cream cake. I was surprised by the size of the cake. I would have liked a smaller one for a euro less. As it was, I definitely had to skip dinner. The base was a bit too thick for my liking. The staff was very attentive and friendly. After my break, I could have taken the local bus back, which many people do. There's a bus stop there. Of course, the bus doesn't stop there unless the water is too high. But the fact that there's a bus option to get there and back is fantastic.

Our dream civil wedding at Lotti's on the south beach was simply unforgettable – a day full of love, warmth, and happiness! 💍✨ From the initial planning to the big day, we received warm and professional support. The organization was uncomplicated, loving, and absolutely reliable. We felt well-advised at all times and were able to accommodate all our wishes – in the end, they were even exceeded! The food was of outstanding quality – every dish a delight, perfectly coordinated, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive, warm, and always with a smile. Our music requests were also wonderfully implemented, so the entire day was exactly as we had dreamed it would be. It was simply a perfect day – the best of our lives – and we owe a great deal of that to the entire Lotti team. ❤️ With so much heart and soul, attention to detail, and passion, you made our wedding something truly special. Even months later, when we visited, we were welcomed so warmly again, as if not a day had passed. This feeling of familiarity and warmth is priceless. The grog is highly recommended, balanced and rounded in taste

A great place, especially in the off-season. The price is a little high, but otherwise everything was great. Highly recommended for gluten-free dishes.

Although Lotti no longer walks the beach and earth, her spirit blows through this place like a warm summer breeze, even on the stormiest coastal days.

This is the first time I've seen such a well-designed menu, with all allergy information readily visible. I actually ordered gluten-free without asking, a personal first for me in Germany. Even gluten-free drinks were marked! A great view of the sea, delicious food, good service, and I tolerated all the gluten-free dishes. I'm looking forward to my next visit; the gluten-free Wiener schnitzel was also rated exceptionally well by my normal-diet companion.

We felt completely at home in this restaurant. The food is delicious, and the lunch menu is varied. The potato soup is especially recommended!

Great location on the beach with panoramic views of the sea, as the restaurant is built on stilts. We were glad we had a reservation, as it was very busy. The service is very customer-oriented, prompt, and friendly! The menu is expanded with a special daily special. There is an extensive wine list. Those who like to eat larger portions should plan on an appetizer. A delicious welcome from the kitchen precedes every meal. The restaurant is dog-friendly. Our four-legged friends also receive a "doggy bag." Highly recommended, and we'd be happy to return on our next stay in SPO.

The staff (friendly young ladies that afternoon) were generally friendly, but we had a very unpleasant experience with an older gentleman serving outside: When we asked for food (except cake) at 5 p.m., we were rather rudely told that it wasn't available until 5:30 p.m. However, the printed menu states 5:00 p.m., which caused some confusion. In our opinion, friendlier communication would have been helpful. I had already noticed the gentleman's interactions with other guests before, which I overheard. Those who value consistently professional service will certainly find good alternatives further north. Fortunately, I won't be coming back here :-)

We ate at Lotti's on the south beach last week. It was absolutely delicious, and the service was super friendly. We had two Golden Retrievers with us, and it wasn't a problem at all. We'd go back for dinner anytime. A dream. Thank you so much for this wonderful evening.

A very nice beach, similar to 54 degrees, but much quieter. Nice selection of cakes, pleasant atmosphere, very friendly staff. It's definitely worth stopping by Lotti's on the south beach.

Normally lunch is served until 3 p.m., but even though we only ordered at 3:30 p.m., the kitchen was still open for us. All I can say is, it was great👍The food was also great and that's why it gets full marks for the food, the service, etc.

What a beautiful spot. It's a great place to hang out. A great view to watch the tides and enjoy the expanse of the North Sea. The staff is super friendly. Of course, you're paying for the location and the ambiance, but a visit to Lottis is definitely worth it. Keep it up!

What is offered there as ice cream is inedible!

Wonderfully located, not everyone is up for the 800-meter walk, but it's worth it. Sitting in a beach chair, gazing out at the sea and watching the kitesurfers, enjoying the amazing Lotti tapas platter... and the very friendly service. It was a real discovery for us.

A very nice restaurant (at high tide) right on the sea. Very friendly staff serve excellent food. Vacation is a top priority here.

Unfortunately, the food, drinks, and service were merely average. There was nothing negative, but nothing particularly positive to mention either. I think the prices are too high. It was disappointing that they charged extra for the extra miniature bowl of Parmesan cheese on a children's plate of pasta with tomato sauce. I think the fish and chips for €21.50 was way overpriced for the fish, chips, and a bit of tartar sauce in a tin bowl. The service staff were friendly as usual, but didn't seem particularly committed. The aforementioned extra Parmesan cheese took about five minutes to arrive, and the restaurant was almost empty. The pasta had already cooled down completely at the table outside. All in all, it was okay, but we probably won't be coming back.

Beautiful place. And expensive...

Our first server (a student) was super courteous and friendly, just as you'd expect. 5 stars, really. Unfortunately, his colleague very directly and rudely kicked us out at closing time. Every business has to close sometimes, but you can also convey that in a friendly and personable way. The location itself is very nice, and the drinks were simple but good. The prices were reasonable for the location.

Super delicious waffles with a view of the Wadden Sea

Yes, the food here isn't cheap—but you can find that out beforehand, since the menu is available here for you to view. The location is fantastic; we were able to enjoy a truly beautiful sunset while eating our delicious meal. We were treated very kindly and attentively—we were even offered blankets, as the temperatures get a bit chilly after sunset. I would visit again on any SPO vacation.

Lotti rounded off our beach visit perfectly. Motivated, friendly staff, delicious ice cream and cake, and a view that made for a relaxing lingering experience. 5 stars!

Fine restaurant and very friendly service

Fantastic location, beautifully decorated, all the waitresses are really nice...but €21.50 for this portion of fish and chips is ridiculous! The photo was taken right after it was served. If only the fish had tasted a bit more refined. The 0.4l of Alsterwasser costs €5.90, which is usually a bit of a bargain...oh, it's getting a bit boring!

Great destination for a mudflat hike

Such a lovely place! The location is fantastic, the food is exquisite (a dream for celiacs – the best waffles ever), and the service is simply fantastic. So courteous and attentive. A wonderful experience. If we're ever in the area again, Lotti is a must!

The herring platter was an extremely small portion and the price, at over €20, was outrageous.

I didn't go to the restaurant, but the area around LOTTI is great; many mudflat hikes start from there.

We had to wait a bit to be served, but the cappuccino and waffle were good, but also way overpriced. Two cappuccinos and one waffle came to just over €15.00.

Well, Sankt Peter Ording already has very high prices...but Lotti takes it up a notch...astronomical prices...were there once...never again. I don't think that will last long...customers just don't let themselves be ripped off often.

I only ordered a drink. There's a playground and beach chairs. A bus stop is right next to the stilt house. One star deducted for the water access. But see for yourself. It's a matter of opinion.

Lotti on the south beach is an absolute highlight! The atmosphere is simply dreamy, and you immediately feel at home. The location on the stilt house is unique: from the warm interior with its modern Nordic flair, you can enjoy the endless expanse of the salt marshes and the Wadden Sea. Those sitting outside are protected by high-quality glass panels, in comfortable beach chairs or on sofa corners – perfect for relaxing or enjoying a drink while watching the sunset. Lotti combines tradition with the present. A holiday feeling, indulgence, hospitality – everything is just right. A perfect place to take a break and enjoy the view of the sea. A must-see for every SPO visit!

This place is always recommended

We went out to eat with four people and our dog. Impressive ambiance, watching the water come in. The food was delicious, especially the gluten-free dishes. We put together a three-course meal. By the time we left the restaurant, we were trained lifeguards 😂😊 It was great and a MUST-DO on our next visit here in the north. Thank you for the service and the delicious food.

Don't get me wrong, the service was very good, but it took forever. That was because there weren't enough staff. The ambiance was fantastic, and the poor waitress was super nice despite being stressed! Due to a wedding, half of the terrace was closed, but that was fine. The waffles are absolutely recommended!

The waitress was courteous and friendly. Nothing to complain about. The food, on the other hand, was bland and tasted almost like nothing. The pasta with tomato sauce at lunch was a disgrace. Overcooked, it fell apart, and the tomato sauce consisted of pureed tomatoes from a carton, just warmed up. No herbs, no seasoning, nothing. That gets the golden raspberry rating from me.

Food with a great view. Great staff. Delicious food, a bit more expensive – but normal for a vacation spot. We've been here a second time now. The cake was huge and delicious, as well as waffles with cherries, etc., also incredibly delicious. We'll be back next year.

We were very impressed by LOTTI today. We spontaneously went there as a family with two children and received a friendly welcome. We hadn't made a reservation and were seated on the terrace, which we were more than happy with. The view is beautiful. We almost left the restaurant voluntarily because our children were restless and loud, but the waitress convinced us to stay. She took our order quickly, and the wait for the food was short. The welcome from the kitchen whetted our appetite, and there were also sweets for the children. We all enjoyed the food; it was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and lovingly arranged on the plates. A visit is worthwhile in every respect; we would gladly come back!

During our last restaurant visit (with three friends), I was overall satisfied with the food and service. The starter was good and the service excellent; the staff was friendly, attentive, and always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately, there was one negative aspect: The fish dish absolutely did not meet my expectations. Not only was it very disappointing in terms of quality, but the portion was definitely too small. For the price, I would have expected significantly more and was extremely dissatisfied. It's no comparison to the quality of Axel's Beach Hut! Unfortunately, this tradition will not be continued.

We had drinks, the Duckstein was great, the ice cream parlor wasn't tasty, and the Alster from Carlsberg wasn't my taste.

A unique spot in Sankt Peter-Ording—no, what am I saying, in Eiderstedt, no, in the entire north. A fantastic restaurant "on stilts" with the best view of the Wadden Sea. Everything is just right here—quality food, a wonderful selection of drinks and wines, and top-notch service under the direction of Thorsten Malorny and his professional crew—especially the wonderful Oxanna! We're always happy to be guests here!

It seems they don't serve Hungarians here. The waiter talked for 15 minutes with 2 tables away, we didn't wait any longer. Thank you for your hospitality. It would have cost 100-150€.

The cheesecake is simply delicious – creamy, fresh, and absolutely enormous! And the best part: it's even gluten-free, which was a wonderful surprise. The food was really good and met our expectations. Unfortunately, the service was anything but satisfactory. It seemed as if the older waitress didn't particularly like us. Both we and another couple received little attention and felt practically ignored. In the end, it was almost impossible to pay the bill, which seriously spoiled the overall experience. It's a shame, because the rest of the evening was truly excellent.

Many thanks to Lotti's team. We were there with seven adults and five children. We received excellent service, and our requests were very accommodating. We had a variety of dishes, including vegetarian and intolerance-friendly options. Kudos to the kitchen, they conjured up everything perfectly. With the main course, drinks, dessert, and cheese platter, we paid around €35 ​​per person. It was a fantastic experience, and we felt very comfortable. We'd love to come back. Therefore, there's nothing else to give you but full marks in all areas.

We took advantage of the daily special (duck breast on mixed salad) and were thrilled! Good value for money. We also saw "large slices of cake" and generally "great portions" at neighboring tables... Very, very nice, helpful, young, friendly waitresses, with Oxana (...name on the name tag...) emerging as the "good spirit of the house" (I mean Oxana...!!) with her pleasant sense of humor, good memory for small special requests – and, at the end, with a complimentary "Fasanenschnaps" (grapefruit liqueur) made in-house. Beautiful ambiance, protected from the wind by large, high glass windows... A constant flow of people coming and going (so no waiting for a table... - everything else went quite quickly, too). The food quality was top-notch! Yes, and even the "restroom"... clean and well-maintained (visiting menu...)!! Highly recommended!!

Particularly noteworthy is the consistently friendly, attentive, and flexible service. Rarely does one experience such charisma and warm service. The young ladies are worth more than minimum wage. We felt very comfortable and have been there several times!
