Actually, today was fine, as always. Only one young waiter was listless and very unfriendly. I think the service could be improved. When you're spending €150, you can expect friendly service. It's a shame; we've always been satisfied up until now.

Gute Küche, leckeres Kölsch, schnelle Bedienung...

I wanted to have a bacon pancake tonight. A somewhat corpulent waiter whistled at me to move my bike, even though it was parked on the sidewalk and no one was bothering me. So I thought, eat your own pancake and left.

Delicious food, friendly service.

Haus Schäffer serves Kölsch, Radeberger Pils, and Allgäuer Büble beer on tap. That's pretty decent for a suburban restaurant. The atmosphere is Cologne-style brewery, but everything is bright, clean, and of high quality. The food is mostly pre-prepared and then heated, prepared, and served quickly. Many guests enjoy it, though, because the menu is usually very popular. I'm not a fan of it myself. But for many reasons, it's already a common practice in restaurants. I do enjoy a beer there, though. You can watch 1 FC Köln games there.

A typical Cologne brewery. The food is good. The staff is very attentive. You won't be left high and dry. This place is highly recommended. There are a few tables outside.

Excellent service and very tasty food!

We were in this restaurant after a funeral with about 20 people and were served sandwiches and a small chicken noodle soup. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was disappointing: the rolls seemed very plain, spread with margarine and topped with low quality sausage and cheese. The soup tasted rather bland and the coffee wasn't convincing either. The biggest problem, however, was the price: 650 euros for this meal is simply unreasonable. Given the simple ingredients and the manageable quantity, this amount is disproportionate to the service provided. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we cannot recommend the restaurant.

Nice restaurant in Veedel. There are both Cologne and other specialties. I think there is something for every taste here. There is also an outdoor area in summer. Although it is on the street (zone 30), it is always well attended. Speaks for itself. I've only been to Haus Schäffer twice, but I'd love to come back

Home-style cooking at normal prices and first-class service

Our chairman was here on January 31, 2025 for the first board meeting of a federal association that had just been founded together, including the other executive board. The Haus Schäffer restaurant surprised our chairman very positively, from the friendly staff to good food and reasonable prices. Despite the intensive work, our chairman and the rest of the board also had a lot of fun and lots of reasons to laugh. Parking nearby was no problem for our chairman. Wir kamen mit einem Kleinkind um kurz nach 19 Uhr ,insgesamt waren wir 3 Personen ,plus Kind. Die Bestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen, nach 40 Minuten fragten wir mal nach, wie lange es noch dauert. Es stellte sich heraus, die Bestellung war noch nicht bearbeitet, der Bestell Bon war verloren gegangen. Uns hat es gereicht ,wir bezahlten die Getränke ,wobei noch nicht einmal ,die Flasche Wasser ' auf das Haus " ging. Sorry ,eine Wiedergutmachung wäre angebracht gewesen.

Good, recommended “good middle-class” restaurant on Höninger Platz in the south of Cologne ( Zollstock ). If you have found a parking space nearby (which can be an adventure here), a visit to the Schäffer Restaurant will make up for the “exhaustion”. Great dishes that are recommended across the board, varied drinks and a friendly, courteous, attentive and fast team - from service to the kitchen crew - round off the evening! We were there with a group on a Wednesday and everyone was very satisfied and had a very nice evening! Wednesday would also be highly recommended because of “Schnitzel Day”! 👍 👍 💪 🥰

Today we were in Haus Schäffer for the first time with 10 people, including 2 small children. We were given a high chair for one of the children without asking. The atmosphere is very nice. The staff is friendly, polite and very attentive but not intrusive. The food came quickly and was very tasty. We'll definitely be back!!!!

Since we have eaten there several times, we decided to go to Haus Schäffer again because the food is really good. 😋. The ambience is ok. In my opinion, the service was a bit overwhelmed on Sunday. But that was due to the number of guests. After ordering we had to wait 3/4 hour for the food. But it was worth it. Be it Kässpätzle, Wiener Schnitzel, Flammkuchen, Kutscherkotelett, Himmel und Äd and other delicacies. So always go back!!! There were nine of us and we were also able to take our 🐕 with us.

All I can say is home-style cooking = the finest! I already had liver, schnitzel, Bacon pancakes and cutlet. Beforehand there was a fresh, crisp salad, the meat was always good, great side dishes and portions for adults. Plus a clean shop with friendly staff and fast service. Guys treat yourself to the bacon pancakes, best of all to 2. = a little dream

I dared to try the Bierkutscher KOTELETT today. With 350g, breaded and a lot of oily, with fried potatoes with bacon and another schloot. You have to try this❗️Unfortunately I couldn't gnaw the bone😂 The service is great, the shop is clean with a brewery charm and you can also sit outside. I would have liked the onions to be nice and brown and crispy, then it would have been perfect. This also applies to the wonderful liver with delicious puree.

This is the second time I've been to Haus Schäffer and I'm conflicted. The menu is good, a vegan option was possible upon request and was also delicious (a salad, but felt like it was without dressing). However, the prices on the menu and the signs are illegally listed without VAT... The Aperol then cost almost €9.00 instead of €7.50... The tap water I ordered with my meal wasn't even brought... Based on this experience, I wouldn't go there again, even though it's a nice option in Zollstock.

Big praise for the fried potatoes. For me they were really on point and delicious. The menu is clear, which I think is good: I prefer fewer dishes and of good quality. I personally don't find the ambience/dining room that cozy, but it's fine.

It was a limited menu for Easter. I missed the smaller dishes. But you can't please everyone. The salad dressing was definitely too sour for me. As I said, I personally wasn't impressed.

We had a lovely evening here with a delicious meal. We were served by a very friendly and nice employee. I can highly recommend this house. The food is really delicious and the friendly service rounds everything off.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe da, positiv, dass dieses Restaurant auch am Montag geöffnet hat und schon am Nachmittag die komplette Speisekarte angeboten wird. Gutbürgerliches Essen, sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Man konnte auch online reservieren.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Allerdings haben wir im hinteren Bereich gesessen. Dort war es echt sehr laut. Die Köche waren sehr bemüht, trotz meiner Knoblauch Allergie, das passende Essen für mich zu zaubern. Perfekt. Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe da. Weihnachtsfeier 40 Personen. Leider hat am Tisch jeder das Essen zu einer unterschiedlichen Zeit erhalten. Somit war ein gemeinsames Essen am Tisch leider nicht möglich. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal..

Für deftiges Essen...... Ambiente könnte netter sein, halt gehobene Brauhausatmosphäre. Freundliche Bedienung. Am Wochenende ist reservieren angebracht. PARKEN ggü am Südfriedhof. Bzw S-Bahn oder Bushaltestellen direkt vor der Tür. Die neue Laugenpizza war allerdings eine Zumutung von der Optik her und des Geschmacks..

Sehr gutes Essen, nette und schnelle Bedienung. Der Haus-Salat war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Top Qualität. Es gibt eine wechselnde Tageskarte. Die Beilagen-Salate waren sehr gut. Schnitzel mit Pommes und die Sülze mit Bratkartoffeln waren auch gut. Alles frisch zubereitet und gute Qualität. Preis/Leistung ist ok. Das Ambiente ist auch ok, die sanitären Anlagen waren bei uns sehr sauber. Die Parkplatz-Situation ist eher schwierig, es gibt Seitenstraßen wo man auch parken kann. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Auf Empfehlung zum Schnitzeltag (mittwochs) besucht. Lokal war gut gefüllt und machte einen geerdeten und rustikalen Eindruck. Schicker als ne Eckkneipe, weniger rustikal als ein Bauhaus, null schick, aber Charme hatte es trotzdem. Service war aufmerksam und freundlich - und das Schnitzel üppig und lecker. Gerne wieder!

Das Essen hat sich zu früheren Zeiten leider verschlechtert (war das letzte mal vor über 10 Jahren dort), aber der Service ist wirklich top. Die Bedienungen sind alle super freundlich. Leider war es bei unserem Besuch extrem voll und ein sehr lauter Geräuschpegel inkl öfteren Hundegebell, da sich 2 Hunde von 2 Gästen wohl nicht so gut vertragen konnten. Trotz allem war der Geburtstag vom Großvater ein gelungener Abend.

Wir waren am 09.23 dort, Für uns ein ganz schlechter Restaurants, überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen, Personal schlecht arrogant und unerfahren, haben ganz lange auf die Speisekarte warten müssen, spazieren mit vier Mann durch die Gegend, das Essen war meine Meinung nach Mikrowellen verdächtig, nie wieder.

Wir (3 köpfige Familie) gehen immer gerne in Haus Schäffer! Das Haus Schäffer hat alles was man von einem Stammlokal erwartet! Wir lieben es! Grüße aus Köln Zollstock!

Essen war gut und Reichlich. Wer nicht so viel essen mag, sollte bei der Bestellung mit der Bedienung sprechen, da gibt mit Sicherheit eine gute Lösung. Unsere Bedienung war super. DANKE

Hier gehen wir immer gerne zum Essen. Ob Geburtstag oder Familienessen (oder Beerdigung) - hier ist immer gut. Die Bedienungen sind freundlich und man kann gemütlich sitzen.

Es ist zwar immer gut besucht, aber wahrscheinlich eher, weil man draußen sitzen kann und es Sonntagabends nicht so viele Möglichkeiten in Köln-Zollstock gibt. Das Essen hat leider sehr nachgelassen. Wir fragen uns, ob der Koch gewechselt hat? Bei der Leber mit Kartoffelpürre, war der Pürre eher wässrig, so als ob das Essen aufgetaut und in der Mikrowelle warm gemacht wurde. Auf dem Flammkuchen mit Kirschtomaten waren vielleicht 4 Tomätchen. Die Preise wie überalle heftig gestiegen. Mit dem Personal kann man noch zufrieden sein.

War zur Versammlung dort, hatte nicht die Gelegenheit zu Essen. Ansonsten war schön ich sehr zufrieden
