Restaurant Goa in München

Landed in Goa by chance. Nice staff, delicious food. I haven't tried chai, I'll have to come back...

I had a terrible experience with cleanliness and service. We have been served bread from other tables, open drink cans and they were very rude with us. Never again. The restaurant is asking google to remove bad or critical reviews claiming that it's defamation. Instead of improving, they move the dust under the carpet. This is my personal opinion.

My experience is terrible bad food, bad service terrible atmosphere.

Tasty food, with Indian spicy levels. They offer complimentary papadam as biting and chai with the delicious food. The nimbu paani takes you to summer back at home

Nice little Indian restaurant near Isartor with no frills and a good price-performance ratio. Relaxed atmosphere, even on Saturday you can get a table without a reservation. Very good chai

Very tasty food and fairly priced too. Unfortunately, we have already forgotten a portion of rice twice and there are no dips with the naan. But that's complaining at a very high level :) gladly again. The last order came with dip 😍🙏 chicken tikka massala is very tasty

We went here last moment because another restaurant where we booked a table for 18 people was booked out. It was the best decision! The food was outstanding and tasty. Plus it was affordable as well. The portion sizes are unbelievable! And they keep serving you basmati rice and raita, unlimited! I recommend dining here. The best part is, at the end they serve you a chai (tea) or mango liquor shot on your request, free of cost!

Just to take a chance i entered this place and found very quality food with excellent service. I definitely recommend this place.

Our group of 18 spontaneously decided to go to this restaurant, and it was one of the best decisions of the day. The taste was great and the quantity too. The prices were also not heavy. The staff was friendly and also provided mango liquor shots at the end for free. Would definitely recommend for groups.

Price performance for the lunch dishes is okay. However, we expected a little more in terms of taste. Unfortunately, the curry was too watery and the chicken was unfortunately not marinated. The service was quick but very distant. The atmosphere is a bit bland and monotonous. There are significantly better Indians in the district.

We ate there twice in our four days visit! We ordered four different dishes and they were all wonderful. The place was cozy and had a great acoustics for an intimate evening, service was very good as well. I recommend warmly!

The food was good and the service was excellent the guy name kunwar there hats off to him. His service was not only good but he went out his way and gave us papadom for free which has never happen to us in Europe. Buna chicken dal and tandoori chicken was delicious and the price is pretty reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants in munich. Home away from home thank you kunwar may be we will come back if we visit Munich again.

Small and cozy Restaurant quite near the center of munich. Food was good and definitely enough. One ordered beer was not brought.

Authentic, no-frills Indian food served in a pot. Very attentive and polite waiter. The food isn't like in India, but it's close. Top service and location an absolute insider tip. Gladly again!

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere very cozy, from the table cloth color to the dishes, they indicate a very well Indian vibe. We ordered Chicken Briyani, Palak Paneer, Shahi Baingan, Garlic and cheese naan, Mango lassi and Appetizer plate. I liked all but for me the seasoning of Chicken briyani was not enough to decrease the bad taste of chicken. The rest was really good.

Price performance was absolutely not justified, our starters didn't taste good and the bread was too oily. The main courses were also mediocre and my sauce was far too runny. The Mango Lassi tasted more like mango juice, overall I expected more for around €60 for 2 people. The service was okay.

Very friendly service, cozy atmosphere and super delicious food.

The restaurant is centrally located, relatively small but comfortably furnished. We came without a reservation and therefore had no expectations. We ordered two main courses (Chicken Jalfrezi and Bharta (vegetarian). Plus Raita and a Garlic Naan. Unfortunately, it took a long time before we could order, the restaurant was not well attended at that time. The waiter kept going into the kitchen /Bar or to other guests before he took our order. Our drinks came after the starter and the rice, naan and the raita came before our main courses. Unfortunately, the service was subpar Almost nothing was said. When he came with the main dishes he just said: “Number 53”. I would expect more than just a number. There was no conversation, attention or anything like that When we ordered at the counter, it took another 15 minutes to arrive. The food was really good and tasty, but the service was a shame. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

Great experience! A nice little restaurant with extremely delicious Indian food. Even though we hadn't made a reservation and the restaurant was already quite full, we quickly got a seat. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was authentic and cozy and the food was very tasty, with Indian dishes that you don't find at every Indian restaurant. We'd love to come back.

We had dinner here last night. The restaurant is not very big, but the three of us got a table straight away. The mango lassi was very creamy and thick and we liked it. We ordered Mango Chicken, Chicken Pasanda, Naan and Garlic Naan. The naan was tasty and the main courses were good. The waitresses were curt, but not unfriendly. The ambience was cozy, but since it's just a slightly larger room and the tables are quite close together, it was a bit noisy. Overall it was an average experience, it's just a shame that the other tables got a small drink when paying while we were forgotten.

This is a great place to opt for some fine Indian food. The portion size is pretty huge. So make sure to order in moderation and avoid ordering ahead. The service is excellent and the restaurant itself is pretty warm which is important when the outside temperatures can drop to pretty low levels during the winter.

Restaurant Goa is ideal for a cheap, pleasant restaurant visit. The menu includes various prepared dishes, especially on the vegetarian menu, which I found very appealing. We enjoyed all the main courses, spritzers and naans. The room is narrow and dark, but still quite comfortable; the service was brief but quick.

I visited the Restaurant last night and what a pleasant restaurant it is. The food, the ambience, the way the owner treat is just a treat. I had lamm biryani and Lychee juice. Both were literally good. I would recommend this place for all who are craving for Indian Foods. Looking forward to visit you ASAP!

Sehr leckeres Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung!

Wir waren an einem Wochentag mittags im Goa. Nach längerer Zeit mal wieder. Die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Tischdecke war nicht ganz sauber. Wir haben von der Mittagskarte bestellt. Dass die Portionen dann nicht üppig sind, ist zu erwarten. Aber die Speisen waren nicht umwerfend. Die Tagessuppe bestand aus eine Brühe (wohl aus Linsen) ohne jegliche Einlage. Der Reis war etwas lieblos ohne Gewürze zubereitet und wurde in einem sehr blassen, gelben Farbton serviert. Wir hatten ein Fisch- und ein Vegetarisches Gericht, die geschmacklich ok waren. Schade, ich hatte mir vom Goa mehr erwartet.

Günstig, freundlich und gemütlich, Speisen sind lecker, werden aber ein wenig dem "deutschen Geschmack" angepasst, von daher fehlt vielleicht der letzte Pfiff, für einen gemütlichen Abend dennoch absolut empfehlenswert!

Kleines indisches Restaurant (ca. 7-8 Tische). Gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung. Ambiente: warme Farben, Glas-Lampen in versch. Farben 💙💛💚❤️ (keine Schnörkel) Vor allem: fairer Preis! (wenn man nicht so viel "Mango-Lassi" schlürft wie ich 🤭)

The mutton was so tender. One of the best and authentic ones I’ve had so far in Munich!

Wir waren am Samstag Abend im Goa. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, der Service war schnell und aufmerksam, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hier absolut stimmig! Absolute Empfehlung!

A wonderful ambience and authentic indian food !

Wenn wir in München sind, ist GOA für uns ein Pflichtbesuch! Nach meinem Geschmack der beste Inder, bei dem ich bisher war und ich würde nicht einmal enttäuscht. Diesmal haben wir uns eine vegetarische Platte zu zweit gegönnt. Sehr zu empfehlen, damit man auch mal auf andere Geschmäcker kommt und sich nicht auf ein wunderbares indisches Essen festlegen muss. Das Ambiente ist ebenfalls gut, vor allem der typische Geruch beim Eintreten liebe ich jedes Mal. Einzig ist das Lokal etwas beengt, oder positiv ausgedrückt: Der Platz ist optimal genutzt. Man sollte auf jeden Fall reservieren, ansonsten kann es durchaus vorkommen, dass man keinen Platz bekommt. Wir kommen auch nächstes Mal wieder.

It is my goto Indian restaurant in Munich since 2010. I have tried Indian food in many restaurants in Munich, and this one still stays one of my favorites. Really like their haryali tikka, kadai paneer, chicken bhunna. Also, their service and staff is excellent. Very polite and attentive. We usually ask them to get our rotis and naan thin and crispy and they never disappoint.

Das GOA war jahrelang mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant. Das Garlic Chicken war eine Wucht und hat mich jede Woche mindestens 1x quasi automatisch hingezogen in den kleinen Laden in der Thierschstraße. Das Essen ist auch immer noch gut, aber die Entwicklung ist so degressiv, dass ich eigentlich kaum mehr gehe. Es fing an, dass während Corona die Karte neu gemacht wurde und ausgerechnet ‚Garlic Chicken‘ zum Opfer fiel. Weil ich Stammkunde war, bekam ich es manchmal dennoch, auch wenn es abhängig vom Kellner war. Was hat sich noch geändert: Es gibt - vielleicht sogar zeitgemäß - weniger Fleisch pro Essen, negativ aber ist, dass die Soßen irgendwie wässriger geworden sind. Ganz schlecht ist, dass der safranige Jasminreis normalem, langweiligen Standardreis weichen musste. Bei Lieferung gibt es auch kein Pappad mehr dazu. Irgendwie wird an allen Ecken und Enden gespart - und auch, wenn es noch in Ordnung schmeckt: Mich (uns) hat das Goa leider als Stammkunden verloren.

As the day came to end following a great day of Oktoberfest, we found Goa RESTAURANT IN heart of Munich and were pleasantly surprised, Food was made to a verybhigh standards by Indian Punjabi chefs , a lively spread of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes were ordered which we thoroughly enjoyed . After searching for a couple of good indian restaurants based on the reviews, we visited this place with my friends. Lovely ambience with great service by Aman . You will also find a lovely chef Rajiv who has a resemblance to the legendary bollywod actor kader khan. Coming home with a pleasant experience .

Absolutely wonderful experience at a world class restaurant. The food is so authentic and the workers are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. The butter chicken, chicken tikka, and chicken biryani were absolute musts. Also completely halal! You will not regret it!

Lokal: mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln super zu erreichen! Von außen eher unscheinbar. Relativ kleiner Gastraum, eng bestuhlt. Die Gastgeber (Bedienung) zeigen sich äußerst wortkarg, dennoch wird die Bestellung sehr aufmerksam aufgenommen - kleine extra Wünsche wie zB Schärfegrad werden top umgesetzt. Speisen: entschieden haben wir uns für Chicken Tikka Masala, Rogan Josh (Lamm), Butter Naan. Beide Hauptgerichte waren sehr stimmig, ausgesprochen lecker. Das Lamm wunderbar würzig und auf Wunsch perfekt im Schärfegrad! Ich kann nicht mehr dazu sagen, außer: das dieses Essen mich an diesem Abend wahnsinnig glücklich gemacht hat! Preis - Leistung ist stimmig. Ich koche und esse relativ viel Indisch und kann abschließend sagen, das dieses Lokal meine absolute Empfehlung hat! Es ist ein Grund mehr, München noch einmal zu besuchen ;-)

Came here after watching a movie. Amazing customer service. Ordered malai kofta naan, gulab jamun, mango lassi, and rice. Everything was absolutely delicious. They even gave dips and papad as starters. The bill was merely 24 euros. The ambience was really nice and they were playing hindi songs, which really elevated the whole vibe of the place. Would definitely recommend to try. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. The food is very cheap as well.
