Good authentic Indian food, with nice interiors. May get noisy but that is perhaps because many people like to come here.

The restaurant name is Indian butbrun by bangladeshi's, had very . They are biased towards indians and their service depends on the guest nationality, if you are na European or white they are well behaved, but soon some when see an indian their attitude and behavior changes , we bad experience visiting this place, they abuse and get into arguments and infact will be ready to physical attack as well.My 2cents to Indian diaspora, avoid visited this bangladeshi restaurant for your if you prefer to be safe.

The best chilly chicken, garlic naan in Munich! We have been eating here for many years and we absolutely love it! I have lived in India for 4 years so this is the closest you’ll find to authentic Indian food in Munich. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I visited it in 1991, and its Muslim owner worked there. Then he bought it, and two of his children worked for him in their free time after graduation. I sat with him, and he was the one who told me about it, back when trading in Deutsche Marks was still possible.

The best curry I've had in Germany to date. Onion bhaji Terence and crispy Curry was delicious. Garlic Naan bread was fantastic

Cheeky. I ordered two curries and a beer, which was missing. First, the delivery man lied to my face. Then I called, and they immediately revealed that the delivery had been made without beer. I was reassured, but the promised refund never arrived. Congratulations on the few euros, I hope it was worth it. People read this and decide for themselves whether to order from you, you businessmen.

Can’t speak on authenticity because I’ve only ever had Indian food abroad, but I can tell you that it’s delicious and I always order from here whenever I can! The inside is decorated very regally so I tend to prefer the patio if I want a more casual meal but i can’t complain at all. The style of decoration is very unique and a fun experience.

The food was good—the portions were a bit small, but it was tasty. The beer garden is okay, but it's located right at the intersection of Landhuter Allee and Nymphenburger Straße, which is extremely busy. The interior isn't recommended, as it has a strange smell and is musty.

The food is delicious. We ordered chicken biryani, meat biryani, masala, naan bread and salad. Everything was 10/10.

The lamb was so bone-dry that it was almost impossible to cut with a knife. The roti bread we ordered only arrived upon request. The menu described the dish as being accompanied by several sauces, but one sauce was all that came. When the waiter asked if everything was okay while clearing the half-eaten dishes, I said, "No, it wasn't." To our surprise, he cleared the table without comment despite my objection. When I pointed out the things we didn't like, we quickly realized that he refused to acknowledge the mistakes and had little concern for our well-being as guests.

Arrived at our hotel late and starving on a cold and rainy night, first time visiting Munich. Almost all restaurants were closed and Taj-Mahal was closing in 10 minutes. They allowed us in and served us a full delicious meal while they were cleaning up for the night. Ended up being the best dinner of the trip and saved our night.

Indian restaurant, serving a variety of Indian dishes. The food is delicious. They offer free papad bread snacks with sauces. We ordered tikka masala and chicken karahi with white rice, and their naan bread is delicious.

The Mango Chicken & Naan was truly exceptionally delicious! The service was very attentive and friendly. The price was more than reasonable, too. I'd definitely go back!

Very tasty, but not complete. The food was very tasty, but I ordered the vegetable tandoori, and the menu said it should have included pineapple and eggplant, but they weren't. It would have been nice if the menu were correct, but otherwise, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice.

My girlfriend and I have become regulars here, and for good reason! Every time we come, we receive a warm welcome, and the staff immediately knows what we want. The service is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food is simply delicious, full of flavor, freshly prepared, and cooked with so much love. You can taste the high-quality ingredients in every bite. Whether vegetarian or meaty, every dish is a delight! The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, and we feel completely at home every time we visit. For us, it's one of the best Indian restaurants in Munich. We'll definitely keep coming back regularly – it doesn't get much better than this. Absolutely recommend it!

the food is very rich, it is the first time we tried the food and we were very surprised. unfortunately the waiter who received us a light-eyed gentleman, was rude to us from start to finish even though I wanted to check the bill to make sure to give them the 10% tip he was quite rude, What struck me was that with all the others I was very attentive and joked with them, I do not know if it is a matter of prejudice to see us because clearly we are foreigners. I loved the place and the food but unfortunately this experience left me a bad sensation, I must mention that the other waiters were very friendly which I thank them.

Despite having a table reservation, we stood in the aisle for ages. It was rather unfriendly until we got to the menu. Then it was okay. Nice table. The food was good and plentiful. It wasn't a wow moment. There was no red wine on the menu. So we had water instead. It has potential for improvement.

The food was extremely disappointing. The chicken tikka masala was clearly microwaved before being served. We couldn’t eat it, and the dishes remained completely untouched. When we raised our concerns with the owner, he still charged us for the meal we didn’t eat, simply stating, “That’s what you ordered.” This was by far the worst dining experience we’ve had, and we would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Served the wrong item - meat appetizers instead of hara bhara kebab and paneer. Mint sauce had an artificial taste. Malai kofta was terrible - pre made dense sticks dumped in a cloying sauce.

It was a very tasty meal. We were there with 7 people, some of whom had never eaten Indian before. However, everyone was able to find a dish and it all tasted very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Lovely Indian restaurant! Not only the food was great, but a special mention goes to the great service: fast, patient and very kind. We went for dinner as a big group (approx 30 people) and not only the orders were placed quickly but the waiters remembers what everyone ordered. Last but not least: great quality-price ratio. The average bill was between 20€-30€ which I find very good for such a yummy and fulfilling dinner!

My favorite Indian restaurant in Munich ! I have been here several times and never disappointed!

I ordered food today (taj-Mahal Thali and extra basmati rice. Thali contains 2 meat dishes and 1 vegetable dish and raita, salat and pappad, Naan. But they didn't give me the rice. I called the restaurant and told the problem. That person who attend the call told me we are going to close the restaurant. Next time when you order food you don't need to pay. I don't know how they going to compensate this money. His response is not good. If I speak English he is responding in Hindi. I am not satisfied with their service.

I thought the food was very good today, although there wasn't much duck to be found in the duck with mango sauce. In the end you had to eat your fill of sauce and rice - at almost 20 euros I don't think that's that great!

The Taj Mahal offers good, authentic Indian food at a fair price in a beautiful ambience. The service is quick, professional, if not overly friendly. You would be greeted with a basket of papadam with various sauces. As a small gesture from the house, there is a mango schnapps after the bill. The Taj Mahal convinced us. Gladly again

The only positive thing is that delivery took place at the specified time! The food was not tasty at all, the meat smelled burnt, the vegetables and the naan bread were completely soggy! The bag in which the food was delivered smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke inside and out, I lost my appetite!

I told the staff that i have allergic to dairy When i ate my food and i got allergic reaction and the staff was laughing at me , the shrimp wasn’t cooked right, horrible experience

We went for lunch on a weekend day. The menu has everything to offer, a large selection. The dishes are beautifully prepared and deliciously seasoned. Priced a little higher due to the location. We'll be back.

Also the portion is very small. When I called the restaurant, an employee answered who had no decision-making authority. The boss was in another restaurant. So no one could help me. Very unfortunate. Himmlicher Genuß! Wir hatten ein Thali für zwei Personen. Jede, der angebotenen Speisen war hervorragend gewürzt, sehr gut bekömmlich und wohlschmeckend. Der Service war außerordentlich freundlich uns zuvorkommend. Etwas schlecht zu finden ist momentan der Eingang aufgrund von Straßenarbeiten. Der Zugang ist zur Zeit rechts. Wir kommen bald wieder! Delicious food - we order here regularly :)

I stayed at a hotel right in front of this restaurant, so I went to this restaurant for dinner. Ordered naan, vegetable curry, and white wine. For some reason, rice also came with the dish, and I carefully set aside some of the rice on the plate. I thought it was strange, but thought it was included with the curry and left it as is. I didn't eat rice at all because naan was enough, but when I paid the bill, the price of rice had been added by 8.5 euros. The only bad memory from my trip to Europe

Maybe we were just unlucky, but during our visit the service was unfriendly, lazy, slow (waiting time was over 45 minutes for the main course) and unfortunately the taste of the dishes wasn't convincing either (spicy not spicy, Chana dish quite oily). Should it be at the If things go differently next time, this post will be edited accordingly.

I'm not a guy who writes reviews very often, but I've visited the Taj at least 20 times, and it's about time I recognise their amazing cuisine. My 'go-to' dine-out when I visit Munich. As a frequent patron of the Taj, I would highly recommend sampling their exquisite dishes. If you can't go to India, bring the Taj Mahal to you!

Best Indian restaurant in Munich.

Yesterday we ordered the food to be delivered and it was very tasty, although it was a bit late as I found the Lemme shop was always well attended, and the food we ate in the shop with company was always delicious.

The food arrived about 45 minutes late. The portions were very small, one dish (the thali) looked like we only got half a portion. The delivery fee was quite high. The pappadams were completely crumbled. The taste of the stews was good.

The three of us ordered very hungry. The dishes were well reviewed and the price led to high expectations. They could not be fulfilled. It was boring, portions too small, too few ingredients, no discernible seasoning. Really didn't appeal to any of us. At just under €20 per person for the main course + Nan, it's a joke.

Went there for dinner with friends last night. We had Mutton Kashmiri, Taj Mahal Teller, Kadai Ghosht, Paneer Kulcha, Peshawari Nan, Lassi, Chai and Gulaab Jaamun. Authentic food. One of the few Indian places where all the sauces DO NOT taste the same. Very friendly staff and a nice ambience. Do visit the place!! Had dinner here again a few days ago with two friends of mine. The food is very flavorful. We tried some new dishes again. Everything is really good, good ambience, extremely polite staff. Kadai ghosht and naan taste absolutely like home. Until next time! :)

The butter chicken here has a unique flavour very tasty and the color of the food is very natural

The naan was so chewy, it was like eating rubber and My butter chicken looked like a bowl of orange soup. Very unappealing.

We walked past the restaurant by chance and decided to go there. The restaurant is stylishly furnished and the music played in the background at just the right volume so that you could still have a good conversation without having to shout. The operators were very quick, friendly, constantly showed attention and were very accommodating. The food came quickly and was very convincing and incredibly tasty. The whole stay was very pleasant and we received exceptionally good service. 10/10 we would come here again. Thank you for the great experience!

They had catered a buffet for Indian food. The place was bit congested to handle a group of 50 people which was arranged by the reputed and international travelling agency. One had to stand in a queue to fetch the main plate and the same to get food. It should be arranged for more counters to caters to the tourists.

I can only speak about the outside area, but I + one other person sat there very pleasantly. The food was good and there was a lot of it, unfortunately the waiter didn't speak German very well, but we could understand each other. Overall, a nice visit at fair prices
