Actually, pretty much everything here was great. The food was delicious, but the portions were relatively small. The service was good, but also a bit intrusive, as we were asked every 10 minutes if everything was alright. The ambiance was lovely, with beautiful pictures and traditional, unobtrusive background music. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't right. As mentioned, the portions were small, and the prices were relatively high. That's why I'm deducting one star.

The food was ordered. The stated delivery time was 50 minutes, and I've now been waiting for 1 hour and 40 minutes. The food still hasn't arrived. I've already called twice to ask when the food will arrive. Each time, I was told 10 minutes. After more than two hours, when Lieferando indicates a 50-minute delivery time for the restaurant, and they use their own drivers, they need to be more accurate and not just select 50 minutes when it won't arrive for over 120 minutes. Then you can imagine the food won't be hot anymore.

I ordered the butter chicken, and as an Indian, I can honestly say this was the worst version of the dish I’ve ever had. Calling it “butter chicken” is misleading—it was essentially tomato purée with overcooked, chewy chicken. Nothing about it resembled the rich, balanced flavors this dish is known for. What. A. Shame. To the cook: kyun naak kata rahe ho, sirji? I’m not someone who leaves harsh reviews, but this was an insult to the dish itself, and that’s the only reason I felt compelled to write this. Do yourself a favor: choose a better Indian restaurant—or cook it at home. You’ll almost certainly do a better job than this.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good Indian restaurant. We dined there and received a very warm welcome. The staff were friendly throughout our visit. The food was good, but I felt it lacked a certain (Indian) refinement. The dining room is nicely decorated, and the tables were attractively set. What wasn't so nice was that we were served a bottle of Diet Coke completely covered in dried-on sauce. That's something you can't miss. The prices are reasonable and appropriate for the overall quality.

WARNING: The restaurant tried to have the 1-, 2-, and 3-star reviews deleted through dubious providers, but it didn't work on me :-). This significantly inflated the average rating!!! Food was okay, a bit pricey. Service could be improved; for example, some food was incomplete. No complimentary shot of schnapps, despite a good turnout of 8 people, which is usually standard practice. It gives me the impression that they're more interested in one-time customers from the hotel next door than regular customers from the area... a real shame...

Please don't make the food spicy! This was ignored, and I almost died because I simply can't tolerate spicy food. There were apparently whole pieces of green chili in the palak, it was so hot. Otherwise, the food was average, and my Indian partner wasn't particularly impressed either. Never again!

The many positive reviews had piqued our interest, but unfortunately, we can't quite agree with the general praise. We both ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and were somewhat disappointed, as we felt the dish wasn't prepared authentically – it was the first time I'd ever eaten Chicken Tikka with bell peppers. Furthermore, there was very little sauce compared to the amount of rice, and the rice itself was simply cooked without any spices that would give it its distinctive flavor. The food tasted okay, but overall, it didn't quite win us over.

We tried this restaurant for the first time today. Based on the many positive reviews, our expectations were quite high, but unfortunately, we can't largely agree with them. We ordered two Chicken Tikka Masala dishes, but it seems the dish isn't prepared authentically here. The original recipe doesn't include bell peppers – but this one had red, yellow, and green pieces. Furthermore, the portion of sauce was rather small compared to the large amount of rice. The rice wasn't seasoned with saffron or similar spices, so it lacked the typical yellow color and distinctive flavor. Overall, it was okay, but unfortunately not authentic.

Unfortunately, we weren't satisfied last time. Firstly, we were told only after specifically asking that payment by debit card wasn't possible, and secondly, we weren't satisfied with the duck in mango sauce. The sauce was good, but the duck was unfortunately deep-fried like at a Chinese restaurant and the quality was poor. My eggplant dish tasted good, but unfortunately too spicy – I specifically asked for it to be slightly spicy. It's a shame, the overall quality has declined.

I used to regularly order Checken Jalfrezi. It had large chunks of chicken in it and cost around €13-14. Today, it's €17.50 with more sauce and a few small pieces of chicken. As of January 1, 2026, VAT has been reduced from 19% to 7%. I'm curious to see how much the chicken Jalfrezi will cost then.

No, absolutely not! I was there with a friend in the evening, and I only had one non-alcoholic beer and one mango cream! Already on the way home, I had a bad feeling in my stomach, and as soon as I got there, I felt nauseous! Then everything I'd consumed in the last 3-4 hours came back out... On top of that, I had about 2 hours of chills and was pretty out of it – a bit of food poisoning!!! Unfortunately, I didn't bother to get a bill this time, NEVER again!!!

The ambiance is generally pleasant, but the restrooms unfortunately have some issues that urgently need to be addressed. Hence only 3 stars for that.

We tried this Indian restaurant today, and I'm surprised by the clearly positive review. The food is, well... not good... it's, well, okay. The chicken is very finely chopped (shredded) and not marinated in yogurt or a sauce as usual. It was rather chewy and not seasoned with Indian spices. I had korma, and the sauce didn't really taste like it. My wife had a vegetarian dish, and this was more of a tomato sauce, which is a bit spicy but not spicy and not really Indian. The service was okay and attentive. The language skills are limited (I ordered more rice and was given the salt shaker). I was surprised that they didn't serve poppadoms to start with, so we ordered them separately—it's just part of the experience for us. I was shocked, though, that we had to pay for the extra rice. The two of us had as much rice as the person next to us, and it wasn't enough. So we ordered a second portion (it was smaller than the first) and had to pay for it. We're not used to that from Indian restaurants. The restaurant is okay, with a typical interior, but there were no hot plates for the food... Overall, we wouldn't recommend Sangam.

We went there on a Saturday evening around 9 p.m. without a reservation and had to wait about 40 minutes for our food. Naturally, it was quite busy at that time... The food itself was very delicious: the dishes were well-seasoned, the meat was tender and flavorful. The dishes listed on the menu without chili peppers are really not spicy. The naan and roti were nice and fluffy and not too greasy. The service was very friendly – several servers came by, wished us bon appetit, and asked if everything was okay. Very attentive.

A true insider tip in Giesing! Sangam impresses in every way – from the warm atmosphere to the delicious food. The extremely friendly service deserves special mention. The waiters were not only attentive and courteous, but also palpably passionate about their work. He not only gave us competent advice, but also made the evening even more enjoyable with his charming manner. The dishes were freshly prepared, wonderfully seasoned, and transported us directly to India. Whether classic butter chicken, lamb curry, or vegetarian dishes – everything was cooked to perfection and very aromatic. The homemade chutneys and naan bread also deserve special praise. The interior ambiance is cozy, tastefully decorated, and exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere – perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. One small suggestion for improvement concerns the outdoor area: Especially in summer, a lovingly landscaped garden or a beautiful terrace would further enhance the experience. The space is there, and with some greenery, cozy lighting, and comfortable seating, it could be transformed into a true oasis of well-being, inviting people to linger. Overall, though, this is a highly recommended restaurant with authentic Indian cuisine, great service—and with a little fine-tuning outside, it has even more potential! We'd love to come back.

We ordered food there – I can't recommend it to ANYONE. The food arrived after 1:45 hours and was, of course, ice cold. Then, to make matters worse, the cucumber yogurt was bad and fermented, runny, with chunks and sourness. Of course, I had already poured the yogurt all over my dish. After half an hour and 10 attempts, someone finally answered the phone. The man on the phone was rude, unsympathetic, and impertinent. They didn't believe us and made fun of us. Never again…

Sangam restaurant is located in a quiet residential area. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food tasted good, but please note that the spiciness of the dishes is marked with chili symbols. Two chili symbols were borderline for us. Four symbols should probably only be ordered by Indians or Pakistanis 😆. I can highly recommend the Mango Lassi, it tastes very delicious, just like the mango cream for dessert. Naan bread at 4.50 euros is, in my opinion, expensive. I know another restaurant that offers the bread for 2.50 euros. Beside that Naan price, I recommend Sangam.

Not normally having an Indian in Germany I am not sure if the cuisine is different to what I am used to in the UK hence the 3 stars. I don’t want to be harsh but a Jalfrazi which I ordered and in pictured is nothing like a Jalfrazi I have ordered or cooked myself in the UK but it was still ok. No spice which was also disappointing. I ordered an egg pilau and got a rice with everything in it but no egg. Look it was all nice and tasty and I’m putting it down to eating in a different country so again don’t want to be harsh but if your used to a UK curry style then it’s likely not for you. Last thing is that the waiters although nice are just in some mad rush but an unknown reason. Maybe just slow down a bit. Feels like I had to be in a rush

Went back on April 5, 2025 with a Groupon voucher. And as always, the food was great and the service was friendly. The highlight is the Garlic Naan. Went there a second time on November 30th, 2024, 6 p.m. with a Groupon voucher. It is the best Indian in Munich, the food is again very tasty and the staff is competent and very polite. Support the restaurant and go there if you want good Indian food. We had a Groupon voucher and were treated like “normal” guests, very well. Service is extremely polite, nice and competent, any misunderstanding is immediately corrected by the service, the guest must be satisfied here and this is achieved. I had soup as a starter, definitely enjoyed with Nan bread. Son had fried chicken with 3 very tasty dips. Main courses were lamb and chicken in a delicious sauce with rice. Dishes are sumptuous and their spiciness is marked on the menu with 0 to 4 pepperoni, I had 2 and well edible. We were pretty full by then. Desserts aren't that great, rice pudding and Indian ice cream, they weren't needed either. The chai tea was then a delight. Ambiance and location, okay, but okay. My recommendation. Tip: Good and cheap would be 1 Nan bread and a soup number 7, delicious combination.

We ordered online via the restaurant's website. The food was scheduled for 6:26 p.m. (according to the restaurant). When I asked at 6:45 p.m. where our food was, they said it was already on its way. It arrived at 7:10 p.m. It takes just 6 minutes by car from the restaurant to my address; even if I had walked, I would have been there in 17 minutes, which would have been faster. The driver then arrived, didn't apologize, and didn't offer a voucher or anything similar. Considering they like to ask for their tip in advance (when ordering on the website), I find that pretty cheeky, and I'm glad I didn't give 10% upfront. The restaurant never responded to my online inquiry either. It's a shame.

After waiting at the entrance for 15 minutes until someone accompanied us to our table, another 20 minutes passed without anyone coming to our table and serving us. Apparently something went wrong in the restaurant that evening, so the waiters were very bad-tempered, hectic and didn't really listen. The selection of dishes there is really very diverse. It wasn't easy for us to decide! The food was also good. When we wanted to pay, the card readers didn't work. We would have liked a little information at the door or from the employees in advance. We mentioned at the beginning that we have a NeoTaste voucher. When we wanted to redeem it, the waiter arranged it so cleverly that he wanted to give himself five stars in the rating. When I responded and said that I would like to evaluate it myself, he got a little snotty. You can quickly explain the five stars at NeoTaste… The visit itself was okay, but not worth 5 stars.

It's a shame, we had reserved online for New Year's Eve and also received an email with the reservation confirmation. When we got there this evening, they didn't want to hear about a reservation because they didn't seem to be open normally due to a larger private party. This is absolutely unprofessional - you should be able to use modern technology. It was such a real disappointment for us on New Year's Eve.

I had an online reservation for December 31st on December 30th. I did it, I received a confirmation email… everything was great! On December 31st I got a call around 1 p.m. The gentleman informed me that unfortunately there were no tables available. He also said that it was my fault because after all it was December 31st and I could have called. No apologies for this extremely rude and rude. I rely on an online reservation and this kind of behavior towards guests is not acceptable.

The delivery service took a good 60 minutes for a "tomato packet soup" (or something similar) and the food unfortunately smelled very unpleasant, at least not of Indian spices, to put it politely.

We ordered for 2 people. Result: 50 euros, a disgusting Chicken Butter with chicken skin, a vegetarian dish that tasted like a canned sauce dish from the supermarket and 2 onion garlic naans... Tasteless. What a disappointment and what a feeling of having been scammed. How is it possible that the restaurant is so well rated? Do cooks make low-quality special dishes for deliveries?

Been there a few times. Wide map. The taste of the food is quite ok. Tomato soup was boring, fish was tough, the Nilgiri was better in other restaurants. Waiting time for food was 1:15 hours on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. The last time a dish (Baigan Bhurta) was much spicier than stated on the menu. When we mentioned this after paying, the service was unfriendly and rude.

We waited over two hours for our food, called the restaurant several times and asked. We were repeatedly put off or told that we would contact the supplier and get in touch again, but that didn't happen. The food arrived at some point - the delivery person didn't say hello or goodbye - let alone an apology. The food was completely cold, the meat and bread were just tough. Price-performance ratio was absolutely overpriced at just under €20 per dish - we would actually have liked to cancel. We don't order anymore and can't recommend the restaurant, too bad!

Wrong food under wrong conditions and then cheeky on the phone. The lure offer of Tikka Masala is a trap and the imaginary price of €25.90 is a moon price. A vegetarian cheese and spinach dish is also delivered, but everything is right for you. Customer service is something else. A little fact about other Indian restaurants: here the majority of the plate is filled with the dish and not with rice. But the man on the phone was right and he lost customers. It was definitely worth it!

Food was okay, butter chicken was delicious, chicken tikka masala was unfortunately tasteless and watery. It's a shame that the prices have been increased, but the portions have become smaller. Card payments are suddenly no longer possible, which is an absolute no go.

Unfortunately we ordered our food there. Two for the price of 1, such SHIT!!!. A MEAL arrives, and a soup (could have been soup in a bag with a few pieces of chicken), after our call THE EXPLANATION: You have to order the offer of the month twice (and of course pay extra) They don't even apologize TWICE FOR ONCE that I don't Laugh I CALL THIS DECEIVING PEOPLE!!! I find it absolutely ridiculous. Please allow 20-30 minutes delivery time when ordering. To increase this to 54 minutes after receiving the order and then still not have the order for 80 minutes! Once and not again!

Normally, I prefer to stick to my home cooking; all that spicy stuff isn't really for me. And the decor was a bit too colorful for my taste, and the music took some getting used to. But I have to say: the chicken in that yellow sauce was incredibly tender, and the flavor was absolutely delicious. The service was also very attentive and explained exactly what wouldn't burn my mouth too much. It was something different, and I can definitely recommend it.

I've been ordering from this restaurant for a long time now. I have to say, first impressions are deceptive when you pick up the food for the first time. But the guys in the kitchen really make the best food I've had here. Jean Bash's price is amazing, hard to beat. In Munich, Pasing! I recommend it to anyone who wants good, authentic food.
