Sangam Indisches Restaurant in München

We ordered food online. 1.5 hours and 30 minutes after the promised delivery, we tried calling. Unfortunately, we couldn't reach anyone. So we drove there ourselves to pick up our food. It still wasn't ready. We weren't given a reason. There was no apology. Two hours later, we drove home with the food. Terrible service.

Never again! We waited over 2 hours and 15 minutes for our delivery. After an hour of waiting, we tried to contact them by phone – unfortunately, to no avail; no one answered the phone.

We've already eaten twice with Groupon, and the food was very good, as was the friendly service. We'd love to come back.

We ordered food there – I can't recommend it to ANYONE. The food arrived after 1:45 hours and was, of course, ice cold. Then, to make matters worse, the cucumber yogurt was bad and fermented, runny, with chunks and sourness. Of course, I had already poured the yogurt all over my dish. After half an hour and 10 attempts, someone finally answered the phone. The man on the phone was rude, unsympathetic, and impertinent. They didn't believe us and made fun of us. Never again…

Sangam restaurant is located in a quiet residential area. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food tasted good, but please note that the spiciness of the dishes is marked with chili symbols. Two chili symbols were borderline for us. Four symbols should probably only be ordered by Indians or Pakistanis 😆. I can highly recommend the Mango Lassi, it tastes very delicious, just like the mango cream for dessert. Naan bread at 4.50 euros is, in my opinion, expensive. I know another restaurant that offers the bread for 2.50 euros. Beside that Naan price, I recommend Sangam.

Not normally having an Indian in Germany I am not sure if the cuisine is different to what I am used to in the UK hence the 3 stars. I don’t want to be harsh but a Jalfrazi which I ordered and in pictured is nothing like a Jalfrazi I have ordered or cooked myself in the UK but it was still ok. No spice which was also disappointing. I ordered an egg pilau and got a rice with everything in it but no egg. Look it was all nice and tasty and I’m putting it down to eating in a different country so again don’t want to be harsh but if your used to a UK curry style then it’s likely not for you. Last thing is that the waiters although nice are just in some mad rush but an unknown reason. Maybe just slow down a bit. Feels like I had to be in a rush

I'd give it one star if possible. I've never had worse indian food after travelling across different indian restaurants for almost 5 years. Only their naan was good but they food was the worst. With their deals, it's a scam because they give you smaller portions and stale food. Never again. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone at all.

So the food was ok. We had Chicken Tikka Masalla and it was tasteless and runny. Service was ok. Toilets were terrible and smelly. Therefore not recommended.

Good Indian cuisine, we ordered take-away food. Chicken Korma and Palak Panier with spinach which both tasted good. Definitely recommended.

Went back on April 5, 2025 with a Groupon voucher. And as always, the food was great and the service was friendly. The highlight is the Garlic Naan. Went there a second time on November 30th, 2024, 6 p.m. with a Groupon voucher. It is the best Indian in Munich, the food is again very tasty and the staff is competent and very polite. Support the restaurant and go there if you want good Indian food. We had a Groupon voucher and were treated like “normal” guests, very well. Service is extremely polite, nice and competent, any misunderstanding is immediately corrected by the service, the guest must be satisfied here and this is achieved. I had soup as a starter, definitely enjoyed with Nan bread. Son had fried chicken with 3 very tasty dips. Main courses were lamb and chicken in a delicious sauce with rice. Dishes are sumptuous and their spiciness is marked on the menu with 0 to 4 pepperoni, I had 2 and well edible. We were pretty full by then. Desserts aren't that great, rice pudding and Indian ice cream, they weren't needed either. The chai tea was then a delight. Ambiance and location, okay, but okay. My recommendation. Tip: Good and cheap would be 1 Nan bread and a soup number 7, delicious combination.

Simple and nice - pleasant stay, pleasant waiters - very satisfied

The service was very bad. The boss was angry, no thank you, no please. I didn't ask how I liked the food. The starter, main course and dessert were all the same. Thank you, they added half a kilo of chili powder and black powder.

We ordered online via the restaurant's website. The food was scheduled for 6:26 p.m. (according to the restaurant). When I asked at 6:45 p.m. where our food was, they said it was already on its way. It arrived at 7:10 p.m. It takes just 6 minutes by car from the restaurant to my address; even if I had walked, I would have been there in 17 minutes, which would have been faster. The driver then arrived, didn't apologize, and didn't offer a voucher or anything similar. Considering they like to ask for their tip in advance (when ordering on the website), I find that pretty cheeky, and I'm glad I didn't give 10% upfront. The restaurant never responded to my online inquiry either. It's a shame.

I've been here a few times, but this time I was a bit disappointed. The Garlic Naan was completely dry and without both butter and garlic. We had ordered butter chicken and paneer masala, unfortunately both dishes were not really hot and lacked the desired (and ordered) spiciness.

Damn bad delivery! They write 30 minutes - the food comes after 2 hours! So think about it if you want to order something there... Absolutely not recommended! 👎🏽

BEWARE! The restaurant will have your legitimate negative review removed by Google, just as it is doing in my case. Thankfully, I have a receipt to support my bad experience, which I have submitted to Google. No wonder the restaurant suddenly has 4.6 stars because it managed to remove all the terrible reviews.

After waiting at the entrance for 15 minutes until someone accompanied us to our table, another 20 minutes passed without anyone coming to our table and serving us. Apparently something went wrong in the restaurant that evening, so the waiters were very bad-tempered, hectic and didn't really listen. The selection of dishes there is really very diverse. It wasn't easy for us to decide! The food was also good. When we wanted to pay, the card readers didn't work. We would have liked a little information at the door or from the employees in advance. We mentioned at the beginning that we have a NeoTaste voucher. When we wanted to redeem it, the waiter arranged it so cleverly that he wanted to give himself five stars in the rating. When I responded and said that I would like to evaluate it myself, he got a little snotty. You can quickly explain the five stars at NeoTaste… The visit itself was okay, but not worth 5 stars.

Food was great, service too, but the ambience... reminded me of an open-plan office without partitions. Update 02/12/2025: The restaurant has significantly improved its ambience, it is now much more beautifully decorated than back then, with wall paintings and wooden decorations. Well done!

I had an online reservation for December 31st on December 30th. I did it, I received a confirmation email… everything was great! On December 31st I got a call around 1 p.m. The gentleman informed me that unfortunately there were no tables available. He also said that it was my fault because after all it was December 31st and I could have called. No apologies for this extremely rude and rude. I rely on an online reservation and this kind of behavior towards guests is not acceptable.

It's a shame, we had reserved online for New Year's Eve and also received an email with the reservation confirmation. When we got there this evening, they didn't want to hear about a reservation because they didn't seem to be open normally due to a larger private party. This is absolutely unprofessional - you should be able to use modern technology. It was such a real disappointment for us on New Year's Eve.

Not authentic Indian food. Beer options limited. Service leaves a lot to be desired.

The delivery service took a good 60 minutes for a "tomato packet soup" (or something similar) and the food unfortunately smelled very unpleasant, at least not of Indian spices, to put it politely.

We were at the restaurant for dinner. The food was very good and we were served very friendly.

We ordered for 2 people. Result: 50 euros, a disgusting Chicken Butter with chicken skin, a vegetarian dish that tasted like a canned sauce dish from the supermarket and 2 onion garlic naans... Tasteless. What a disappointment and what a feeling of having been scammed. How is it possible that the restaurant is so well rated? Do cooks make low-quality special dishes for deliveries?

Been there a few times. Wide map. The taste of the food is quite ok. Tomato soup was boring, fish was tough, the Nilgiri was better in other restaurants. Waiting time for food was 1:15 hours on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. The last time a dish (Baigan Bhurta) was much spicier than stated on the menu. When we mentioned this after paying, the service was unfriendly and rude.

We waited over two hours for our food, called the restaurant several times and asked. We were repeatedly put off or told that we would contact the supplier and get in touch again, but that didn't happen. The food arrived at some point - the delivery person didn't say hello or goodbye - let alone an apology. The food was completely cold, the meat and bread were just tough. Price-performance ratio was absolutely overpriced at just under €20 per dish - we would actually have liked to cancel. We don't order anymore and can't recommend the restaurant, too bad!

Wrong food under wrong conditions and then cheeky on the phone. The lure offer of Tikka Masala is a trap and the imaginary price of €25.90 is a moon price. A vegetarian cheese and spinach dish is also delivered, but everything is right for you. Customer service is something else. A little fact about other Indian restaurants: here the majority of the plate is filled with the dish and not with rice. But the man on the phone was right and he lost customers. It was definitely worth it!

Food was okay, butter chicken was delicious, chicken tikka masala was unfortunately tasteless and watery. It's a shame that the prices have been increased, but the portions have become smaller. Card payments are suddenly no longer possible, which is an absolute no go.

Unfortunately we ordered our food there. Two for the price of 1, such SHIT!!!. A MEAL arrives, and a soup (could have been soup in a bag with a few pieces of chicken), after our call THE EXPLANATION: You have to order the offer of the month twice (and of course pay extra) They don't even apologize TWICE FOR ONCE that I don't Laugh I CALL THIS DECEIVING PEOPLE!!! I find it absolutely ridiculous. Please allow 20-30 minutes delivery time when ordering. To increase this to 54 minutes after receiving the order and then still not have the order for 80 minutes! Once and not again!

I ordered food through Lieferando and the meat was tough and tasted old. There was something indefinable in the sauce, so I had to throw the dish away. Unfortunately a failure. Order number: H89YRV

This is our first time in Munich and I was very happy that there was an Indian restaurant nearby. The first impression was sobering as you could only pay in cash. The reason was that the cash register was new and therefore only cash payment was possible. OK. so far so good. The table was neatly set and music was playing softly. Unfortunately not Indian. The service was very good, the ordering was quick, the drinks came very quickly and so did the food. We always checked to see if anything was missing and asked how satisfied we were. A clear recommendation! We removed one star from the service because only cash payment was possible.

The food takes two hours to arrive. The order is then canceled and no longer arrives. This is an absolutely bad joke. I called in the meantime and the employee lied and said that the food should have been on its way a long time ago. Unfortunately I can't recommend the store.

The food is good and the service is really good very kind people but the need to clean the toilets in general the hygiene of the place is low if you pay attention so make me doubt about the hygiene in the kitchen.

We discovered this Indian restaurant through NeoTaste. It is located quite inconspicuously in a new development. The food was okay, not seasoned enough for my taste, the chef seems to have adapted to German tastes. In India there is more “oomph” in the food. Why do I only give one star, especially for the service? The waiter asked me for my cell phone to validate the NeoTaste voucher. He also quickly gave my PERSONAL rating. Full marks - that's clear. ❗️Sorry, but that's not possible!!!❗️ ❗️This is excessive.❗️ It's a shame, we would have liked to come back, but when you falsify reviews like that, I don't feel comfortable anymore!

Wir waren zu zweit hier und beide sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und dem freundlichen Service. Die Preise sind angemessen und die Portionen waren gut. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass das Restaurant irgendwie nicht vollständig renoviert war. Es gab noch ein paar Mängel a den Wänden und die Toiletten waren im Umbau, hier konnte aber das Behinderten-WC genutzt werden.

Four of us stayed at Sangam with a Groupon voucher for 4 people. The waiter first explained that leftover food is not usually wrapped. The food was very little for a 3 course meal. It was clearly noticeable here that the “cheap” Groupon voucher was brought back. Then the restaurant advertises that it offers authentic Indian cuisine. Sorry, but that was very Germanized. Lightly seasoned, the kulfi consisted of a sweet coconut sauce. The biryani didn't work either, you didn't taste any almonds or raisins. And the bread was filled with minced meat, we looked for minced meat on the bread but couldn't find any... The waiter remained unfriendly until the end with the corners of his mouth hanging down. All in all, it wasn't a particularly pleasant experience. We will not visit the Sangam a second time.

Super nice service, especially Cavin, who puts in a lot of effort - super personable! Very tasty dishes and a nice atmosphere on site! Even if you have allergies, you can be sure that you can enjoy a relaxed and delicious evening without worry (including seating outside). The management attaches great importance to good treatment of the guests, many others could take a role model: very attentive, extremely nice and warm and quick. Thank you, Cavin, for the lovely evening! Absolute recommendation! 10/10!

Near the hotel where we were staying, we found an Indian restaurant, which definitely justified its high rating. The staff is one of the friendliest and nicest a guest could wish for. They kindly helped us put together a varied plate of dishes for two people. We were more than impressed, both by the appearance and the taste. Kevin, the restaurant manager, had a friendly chat with us and made us feel really nice. I definitely recommend it, the portions are large and the prices moderate or completely comparable to other restaurants in the vicinity of Munich. Worth a visit and well done Samgam Indisches Restaurant staff!

Very tasty food at absolutely fair prices. The service was very accommodating.

We recently dined at Sangam, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Despite our little one having a tough day, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable and well taken care of. The warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home, and the food was absolutely delicious, authentic Indian flavors that we all enjoyed. The service was attentive and kind, particularly towards our child, which really made a difference. We left feeling very satisfied and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for families!

The quality of the food was poor. Chicken khorma was too creamy, didn't taste like it was supposed to and chicken tikka had very little meat and was also of poor quality.

Aside from the excellent food, the service is exceptionally attentive and polite. We felt very comfortable. The location is a bit out of the way and nice and quiet. You can also sit outside.

Wir waren als große Familie mit Groupon Gutschein da und vielen Extrawünschen. Wir würden mit einer Freundlichkeit und Geduld bedient. Mittlerweile schon dreimal. Wir und unsere Kinder sowie Enkelkinder sind von diesem netten Personal und überragenden Essen begeistert. Obwohl wir nur Groponscheine hatten wurde kein Unterschied gemacht.

We were there as a large family with a Groupon voucher and lots of extra wishes. We would be served with kindness and patience. Three times now. We, our children and grandchildren are thrilled by the friendly staff and outstanding food.

I recently visited Munich for work and I had dinner in this restaurant. The food is exceptionally good; I enjoyed it so much that I went twice in a row during my week-long stay. The staff are very nice and welcoming. If you like Indian cuisine, you will really enjoy this place. They offer a wide variety of choices that cater to different tastes. The portions are generous, and you definitely won't leave hungry. Highly recommended!

Very nice restaurant and delicious food. We had the tomato soup and cream of chicken soup, butter chicken with rice and butter naan😋 Dessert was little balls like that. Delicious. Gladly again.

Worst service i ever seen in Munich, Germany.

Best Indian food in Munich so far not "Germanified" by the slightest as we Americans like to call it; I always have the lamb Tikka Masala and Highly recommend it. Very accessible and very friendly staff Me and a wheelchair disabled friend went here after looking at more than 7 restaurants all over munich just to find a restaurant with a wheelchair accessible ENTRANCE. And this was the best suited. Plus, they WHEELY get bonus points for the private disabled elevator that lead to the disabled bathroom downstairs. The people put so much work into making it delicious and disabled friendly. People like this WHEELY make the world a better place. And hey, their pricing is very Reasonable.
