Best Indian restaurant in Munich. Large portions and they fill you up. Personal recommendation: Chicken Vindaloo, order it as very hot. It's really hot and they don't skimp on the spice. The naan bread with garlic is the biggest and tastiest thing I've ever eaten. If you want Indian food, then this is the place to go. Highly recommended.

We've been ordering from Bollywood regularly for many years (at least once a week), and it's still simply the best Indian restaurant in Munich for us. Fast delivery (sometimes in as little as 20 minutes) and always fresh, hot, and actually spicy 🔥 if you like it that way. A big recommendation from us. Superb authentic curry in a lovely restaurant on a quiet pretty residential street just outside the centre. So good we returned a few days later on our way through Munich. The owner is absolutely lovely and she speaks perfect English as well as German and is very welcoming and friendly. I was in the mood to get some Indian food and this place was amazing! I loved the chaat style chickpeas and the paneer dish. The rice was cooked beautifully and the dessert (mango cream + ice cream) was delightful. Everything was very flavorful and I'm sure I'd go there again when I visit Munich! Highly recommend trying it out.

It's a small but very nice restaurant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They serve welcome bread with dip and a farewell drink. We had passion fruit liqueur and the kids had mango lassi. The food is very tasty and the portions are generous. We ordered three dishes for four people. Of course, they brought us four plates and placed the food in the middle. The drinks are also very good.

Every month we went there either for lunch or dinner , even our children they like it and staff they are very friendly.

I opted for poppadoms and pickles to start, followed by the Bollywood Thali. Only one poppadom arrived (menu stated two - I had to ask for the other one) and it was disappointing - very hard and dry, unlike any poppadoms I've had elsewhere. However, the thali was excellent and I would recommend it highly.

Delicious and authentic indian food! The quantity of dishes is very generous. The lady who took our ordered was sweet. She even offered us complimentary dish at the end. As for the food, naan was top-notch, Paneer Karahi was tasty, and again generous amount of paneer in it. Paneer was soft and the gravy was creamy 😍 Mango Lassi is something I would highly recommend to everyone. Overall, it was a nice experience, we would love to visit again. PS: It can be a bit challenging to find the parking space around. I would suggest you to park your vehicle in the Park One garage (400m from the restaurant).

My daughter and I were there for the first time and we shared a portion of Bollywood Thali. It was enough for both of us and there was even a bit left over. Food tastes really good. Pan bread comes in plenty. Lychee juice and mango cream with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was also excellent. Very nice staff recommended

Meine Frau und ich waren kürzlich im „Bollywood“ in München – und wir können den guten Ruf des Restaurants absolut bestätigen. Anlässlich des Valentinstages waren die Tische wunderschön geschmückt, ohne dabei kitschig zu wirken. Als Vorspeise wählten wir verschiedene Gemüse-Pakoras sowie eine Fisch-Pakora. Die Papad wurden sogar aufs Haus gereicht und kamen mit drei leckeren Dips (süß mittelscharf, scharf und sehr scharf) – ein echter Genuss. Lustigerweise war der Dip noch am Tisch, als die Papad bereits verputzt waren. Für die Hauptspeise entschieden wir uns für das Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani) und das Chicken Jalfrezi. Zwar ist das Jalfrezi in der Karte als „scharf“ gekennzeichnet, doch es fiel uns im Vergleich relativ mild auf – fast so ähnlich wie das Butter Chicken, bis auf eine kleine Scheibe Zitrone als optischen Unterschied. Dazu gab es hervorragend gewürzten Basmati-Reis. Besonders schön war, dass das Fleisch in einer kleinen Schale serviert und auf einer Kerzenflamme warmgehalten wurde – das sorgte für ein stimmungsvolles Ambiente, auch wenn leider immer dasselbe Lied im Hintergrund lief. Der Service war sehr nett, besonders abends, als sogar die Chefin persönlich anwesend war. Zum krönenden Abschluss gab es beim Bezahlen noch einen Likör und ein Lassi aufs Haus. Insgesamt war es ein gelungener Abend mit tollen Gerichten, einer angenehmen Atmosphäre und freundlichem Service. Sehr empfehlenswert!

My wife and I recently went to “Bollywood” in Munich – and we can absolutely confirm the restaurant’s good reputation. For Valentine's Day, the tables were beautifully decorated without appearing tacky. As a starter we chose various vegetable pakoras and a fish pakora. The papad were even served on the house and came with three delicious dips (sweet medium hot, hot and very hot) - a real treat. Funnily enough, the dip was still at the table when the papad had already been eaten. For the main course we chose the Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani) and the Chicken Jalfrezi. Although the Jalfrezi is labeled as “spicy” on the menu, we found it to be relatively mild in comparison – almost similar to the Butter Chicken, except for a small slice of lemon as a visual difference. There was also excellently seasoned basmati rice. What was particularly nice was that the meat was served in a small bowl and kept warm on a candle flame - this created an atmospheric ambience, even if unfortunately the same song was always playing in the background. The service was very nice, especially in the evenings, when even the boss was there in person. To top it all off, we got a liqueur and a lassi on the house when we paid. Overall, it was a successful evening with great dishes, a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommended!

It's been 3 days in Germany, and I was craving for Indian food, and man, oh man, this restaurant is the best. Taste is just as what we get in India. I must also compliment the hospitality we received from Gagan, felt like home!
