The Bollywood Indian Restaurant is my absolute favorite restaurant when it comes to authentic Indian cuisine! The dishes are always fresh, perfectly seasoned and full of flavors. The ambience is warm and inviting. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive and makes you feel comfortable - highly recommended!

Great Indian food, very aromatic - comparatively priced a bit higher, but also much better than the average German Indian!

Meine Frau und ich waren kürzlich im „Bollywood“ in München – und wir können den guten Ruf des Restaurants absolut bestätigen. Anlässlich des Valentinstages waren die Tische wunderschön geschmückt, ohne dabei kitschig zu wirken. Als Vorspeise wählten wir verschiedene Gemüse-Pakoras sowie eine Fisch-Pakora. Die Papad wurden sogar aufs Haus gereicht und kamen mit drei leckeren Dips (süß mittelscharf, scharf und sehr scharf) – ein echter Genuss. Lustigerweise war der Dip noch am Tisch, als die Papad bereits verputzt waren. Für die Hauptspeise entschieden wir uns für das Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani) und das Chicken Jalfrezi. Zwar ist das Jalfrezi in der Karte als „scharf“ gekennzeichnet, doch es fiel uns im Vergleich relativ mild auf – fast so ähnlich wie das Butter Chicken, bis auf eine kleine Scheibe Zitrone als optischen Unterschied. Dazu gab es hervorragend gewürzten Basmati-Reis. Besonders schön war, dass das Fleisch in einer kleinen Schale serviert und auf einer Kerzenflamme warmgehalten wurde – das sorgte für ein stimmungsvolles Ambiente, auch wenn leider immer dasselbe Lied im Hintergrund lief. Der Service war sehr nett, besonders abends, als sogar die Chefin persönlich anwesend war. Zum krönenden Abschluss gab es beim Bezahlen noch einen Likör und ein Lassi aufs Haus. Insgesamt war es ein gelungener Abend mit tollen Gerichten, einer angenehmen Atmosphäre und freundlichem Service. Sehr empfehlenswert!

My wife and I recently went to “Bollywood” in Munich – and we can absolutely confirm the restaurant’s good reputation. For Valentine's Day, the tables were beautifully decorated without appearing tacky. As a starter we chose various vegetable pakoras and a fish pakora. The papad were even served on the house and came with three delicious dips (sweet medium hot, hot and very hot) - a real treat. Funnily enough, the dip was still at the table when the papad had already been eaten. For the main course we chose the Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani) and the Chicken Jalfrezi. Although the Jalfrezi is labeled as “spicy” on the menu, we found it to be relatively mild in comparison – almost similar to the Butter Chicken, except for a small slice of lemon as a visual difference. There was also excellently seasoned basmati rice. What was particularly nice was that the meat was served in a small bowl and kept warm on a candle flame - this created an atmospheric ambience, even if unfortunately the same song was always playing in the background. The service was very nice, especially in the evenings, when even the boss was there in person. To top it all off, we got a liqueur and a lassi on the house when we paid. Overall, it was a successful evening with great dishes, a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommended!

It's been 3 days in Germany, and I was craving for Indian food, and man, oh man, this restaurant is the best. Taste is just as what we get in India. I must also compliment the hospitality we received from Gagan, felt like home!

We were seated and given menus right away then sat for a good ten minutes with no drinks, water, or attention despite being about 10 feet away from the bar and thus clearly visible and in need of service. Not sure what was up with that. I ordered the Almond Coconut Chicken; the chicken pieces were nice and tender but there was way more sauce than chicken in the dish. It came with basmati rice only; naan bread had to be ordered separately at additional cost. I can't remember if any salads were offered. A fresh salad or some kind of fresh vegetable as part of this dish would have been a welcome addition.

Hands down - one of the best Indian restaurants in Munich! What makes them special is not just the delicious food but the incredible service! The staff is really kind and their lunch menu is one of the best with soup and mango lassi included. The location is perfect. Highly recommended. I had the pleasure of visiting the Bollywood Indian Restaurant Munich and was amazed by the quality of the food and the friendly service. The menu offers a wide range of classic Indian dishes, all freshly prepared and full of flavour. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and loved the tender chicken breast and the creamy sauce. The naan bread was also perfectly baked and crispy. The service was very attentive and friendly. The waitresses were always available to answer questions or make recommendations.

Great service, very tasty food, a lot of effort was made to get a nice table without a reservation, I'm looking forward to the next time!

Delivery went well, although there was no confirmation via email. We ordered naan bread as a side dish, but were given rice that we didn't even need. The 2 meat dishes we had (Chicken Masala and Lamb Mango) only consisted of meat with sauce, all the side dishes described seemed to be pureed). The taste was still good though. Unfortunately the naan bread was limp and tasteless. Conclusion: I expected something better for the price.

We were visiting Munich for Oktoberfest and walked by this restaurant and were drawn in by the smell. The food is AMAZING (we got the samosas, chicken tikka masala) it was incredible. Delicious meal after a long day and the service was great. We would definitely come here again. WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Very bad service. More information to come as the restaurant filed a lawsuit against my review with Google on grounds of defamation. I was at the restaurant with a group of employees. The waiters were totally chaotic, they wrote down some people's orders incorrectly. After that the food wasn't delivered all at once, for a couple of people the food was delivered almost immediately, for others we have to wait over 30 minutes.

Special dinner with chicken curry and a dish with 3 vegetable preparations including a delicious chickpea curry, nan bread and basmati rice. Very attentive and courteous service. While waiting for the ordered dishes, 3 typical sauces with crunchy bread are offered. The owners sent us off with a very good house digestive. Very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere and superlative food! Worth noting for a future return to Munich!

Sat down for a lovely meal here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was amazing, the food was fantastic and the venue was nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Includes great vegan and vegetarian options. Garlic naan had a perfect crisp, and was delicious. Had my birthday dinner here and staff went above and beyond to bring me a delicious mango dessert on the house! Highly recommend if you’re after some Indian cuisine in Munich!!

Great food, nice service staff, and the prices are OK. Unfortunately, it's a little stuffy and warm in the restaurant at these temperatures when it's raining outside. But I would definitely like to come back to try other dishes from the menu.
