The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The food was delicious. The employees were nice and polite. But now I come to the real problem. We were there with a toddler (2 years old), and you know it's hard sometimes. I can't tell whether it was a mistake or whether they took advantage of the fact that things were difficult with the child. Because it was difficult with the child, we didn't check the bill before paying (big mistake). 1) They asked if we wanted an appetizer, and we didn't want it (it was still included in the bill). I don't know whether it's always charged regardless of whether you want it or not. (Clarified) see below 2) We ordered a small water and were charged for 2 waters that we didn't get. (Clarified) see below. We will no longer go to this restaurant and will of course advise our friends and acquaintances not to. The Goia restaurant delighted us with its excellent cuisine. The truffle pasta was perfectly al dente and full of flavor – to die for! In our group we shared the starters, including the octopus carpaccio with fennel and orange fillets, which was 10/10 in terms of taste. The crowning finale was the dessert plate “Fantasia di Dolci alla Goia”, a sweet selection that was completely convincing. Conclusion: Perfect Italian cuisine and great service – absolutely recommended!

We were there this evening, December 22nd. The first time I was really disappointed, my wife's starter plate was so-so, my fish soup had no pep or taste with dry pieces of fish and a slice of bread (A small slice and that was still burnt) one shrimp was difficult to remove from the shell... The spaghetti with truffles was sticky and not seasoned, sticky roux, my pasta with dry pieces of fish was boring and bad or not seasoned at all, I had to order the parmesan cheese but it wasn't brought, the plates were only cleared about 15 minutes later, our criticism of the food was not professionally processed! Our bill of almost 100 euros was presented to us without comment, not a word of regret, let alone an apology……….very unfortunate

My first recent visit to “La Gioia” was enjoyable. Very attentive and nice service, even though the restaurant was fully booked. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, despite the high noise level. The starter (Vitello Tomato) was very tasty. The tagliatelle with beef fillet and king oyster mushrooms for 20.90 euros were unfortunately not so good : I was wondering if the chef even tasted the food? It mainly tasted like canned tomatoes with pasta...quite expensive for that.

We were in this restaurant for the first time yesterday and we just loved it! The service and customer friendliness is an 11 out of 10, here the customer really is king. The food was super tasty and came very quickly. The waiters were very attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere is beautiful, very cozy and chic at the same time. We are more than satisfied, I haven't eaten in such a great restaurant for a long time. We'll definitely be back!

Ordered a pizza via Uber eats last night. The dough was completely burnt and the toppings were next to the pizza. A brilliant performance from the pizza maker and the delivery service. You simply can't pass on a pizza like that to the customer. Point!!!

Good Italian food with friendly service

We celebrated our wedding at Gioia with around 40 guests. It was a complete success. From the menu to the service to the ambience, it's simply great! We really felt like we were in good hands.

It was my first visit to gioia. I'm thrilled. Starter scallops. Main course sea bream. Both dishes excellent. The wines to my taste. Staff friendly and competent. I will come back.

Very accommodating and friendly staff, warm and cozy atmosphere and delicious food. We were there with nine people for a birthday, were very satisfied and had a lovely evening! We were able to eat the cake we had brought with us in the restaurant for a small fee. The cake was cut for us and the service sang along to the birthday song. All in all a really lovely evening, thank you very much!

Gioia (Italian: "joy") - and what a! Gastronomically speaking, perhaps not a major innovation or flashbacks to Italy. But I had an extremely pleasant experience in dealing with customers through the staff here, despite the pear carpaccio and truffle linguine not being particularly complex in terms of taste. They were just fine, I don't want to complain about that. And for the price you can't ask for much more, so it's pretty fair. I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of vegan dishes. But let's come to my highlight of the evening: unfortunately, after 20 years (!) of living here, I have never experienced such outstanding, sincere and attentive service in Düsseldorf (except in Paris or L.A. until now). The acoustic panels, the velor-covered seating and the wooden bar also do a lot to create pleasant room acoustics in which many people can converse at a courageous volume, but there are never unpleasant resonances. The lighting is also, for my taste, pleasant, with the reddish-dark color accents, selection of art objects and decorations and the exposed stone walls visually creating an extremely comfortable ambience. The guest's comfort was really thought of from the start. A big shout out to everyone on the team!

Pasta is delicious. Of course, in an Italian restaurant, the pizza and pasta must be delicious. A restaurant that serves good steak is a real treat. The staff is friendly and the menus are perfect. Vongole, truffle pasta, and tenderloin steak are recommended.

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all. I really wanted to eat something interesting vegan, but neither the quantity nor the taste of the vegan cheese was right. The surrounding lettuce leaves were wilted and carelessly prepared. A pity.

I just had dinner with my company at GIOIA I would not say less than it was such great experience. The place was extremely full and we haven’t even noticed due to their professional service and attitude. Food was served on time. I had allergy (lactose intolerant ) they made sure that I get the exact meals. I really salute the whole staff for their spirits and taking the stress with laughter to create a good atmosphere for their customers. I strongly recommend GIOIA and I would diffidently come back to them.

All in all good. Went here with a group of four on Friday evening and the restaurant was full to capacity, so you should definitely make a reservation on the weekend. Due to the number of visitors, we had to wait a long time for the starter and main course - around 1.5 hours. So far no problem at first as there was a lot going on. The food was good but we were all hoping for a little more and the prices are quite high. However, the quality of the ingredients seemed to be very good, for example the starters were very good. Maybe try it again during the week when there's less going on, but all in all it's not a restaurant that you'll remember.

We have known the restaurant for years, it stands for delicious food, we eat there from time to time and the service is very friendly. Recommended without reservation.

I think it's a matter of taste. We had pizza with beef strips and pasta with beef and king oyster mushrooms. Ambience was cozy and Italian. Coffee was very good.

Super nice staff and very child friendly! But I kind of get the impression that there are two chefs working there, because sometimes the same dishes just taste bland and poorly seasoned. Was there a total of 4 times After the first time I was so excited that I invited my whole family there and everyone didn't like it, even the bruschetta was missing all the spices and the chocolate mousse is easier to make at home than this mush with coarse pieces of sugar. After a year I gave the store another chance and it was delicious again. Then laff again last weekend. Or the dishes are pre-cooked / frozen, I don't know where these fluctuations come from. In any case, far too expensive for the bad taste.

Definitiv eine Empfehlung! Schönes Ambiente, der Service sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Ich hatte die veganen Ravioli, die einfach nur ein Gedicht waren. Mein Freund war vom Fisch genauso begeistert. Die Auswahl auf der Karte sah toll aus und besonders schön fand ich, dass es eine vegane Karte gibt mit einer schönen Auswahl verschiedener Gerichte, die ich teilweise so auch noch nirgendwo anders gesehen habe. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Großartig. Das Essen schmeckt fantastisch und ist handwerklich excellent gemacht. Ich hatte die Tagliorini mit Trüffel auf Rindercarpaccio. Pasta al dente, Sauce saulecker, Rindercarpaccio hauchdünn geschnitten. Top! Dazu ein Glas Primitivo, kommt perfekt temperiert, was will man mehr. Als wir um 18.30h kamen, war es brechend voll. Ich würde auf jeden Fall reservieren, geht schnell und bequem online. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall bald wieder!

Ciao a tutti, sono Federica ho 22 anni e oggi voglio raccontarvi la mia esperienza presso il ristorante Gioia a Dusseldorf. Avevo trovato l'annuncio su questa pagina facebook e dopo aver contattato il signor Andrea proprietario del ristorante, aver deciso il giorno di partenza e dopo essermi fatta spiegare tutto ( documenti, contratto e residenza) ho comprato una bella valigia , i vestiti che avrei dovuto indossare durante il turno di lavoro e ho comprato un biglietto aereo anche particolarmente costoso con la speranza di dare inizio a una vita migliore. Ebbene si.. mi era sembrata una persona decente e veritiera e ho deciso di intraprendere questa esperienza per me molto importante. Arrivata qui ho iniziato una routine estenuante con turni infiniti e vitto andato a male perché dopo aver mangiato i piatti che preparavano per il personale vomitavo di continuo, inoltre il signore andrea a deciso di non pagarmi nenache le mance che mi spettavano( Guadagno molto importante qui in Germania). Ho resistito una settimana in quanto oltre che un grande scostumato il titolare mi insultava in Napoletano e io essendo dell'Abruzzo avevo ben chiaro gli insulti che mi stava dicendo. Ieri sera ero a lavoro e il signor Andrea ha deciso di cacciarmi in pieno servizio perché mi dava dei compiti da svolgere come portare il pane e poi mi insultava perche io eseguivo quello che lui mi chiedeva. A fine turno è salito in camera mia chiedendomi cosa fosse successo e li ho sbottato, oltre che a voler farmi pagare 250 euro di affitto per una settimana ( vitto e alloggio era incluso altrimenti non sarei partita per niente) non voleva nenache pagarmi i giorni di lavoro e in piú voleva cacciarmi in mezzo alla strada a Dusseldorf sapendo che non mi sarei potuta permettere un biglietto aereo e tantomeno una stanza perche non venivo pagata. Ho registrato tutto con il mio telefono e sarò molto lieta di far avere tutti i dettagli del caso al consolato Italiano . Prego tutti quindi di prestare molta attenzione agli Italiani all'estero e sconsiglio a chiunque di cercare lavoro presso il Gioia Restaurant in Dussendorf . Cordialmente delusa e demoralizzata da questa esperienza pessima.

Tolles Lokal mit Loft Atmosphäre, dennoch gemütlich, da nicht riesig. Sehr gut besucht an einem Montag. Das Essen hat wirklich toll geschmeckt, auf individuelle Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Preise sind tatsächlich etwas hoch, wahrscheinlich durch die Lage in Düsseldorf Grafenberg. Qualität stimmt, aber ganz ehrlich, mein Rindercarpaccio für 13.50€ war nicht das Geld wert. Wenn ich es gezählt hätte, dann waren es vielleicht 15 Scheiben Fleisch so hauchdünn geschnitten, dass die Sonne durchscheint. Auf jeder zweiten Scheibe Fleisch Parmesan oder sonstiger italienischer Hartkäse, und in der Mitte ein Mini Häufchen von Rucola. Vielleicht hab ich noch ein Bild..

Wir waren an einem Sonntag spontan ohne Reservierung dort. Der Chef war sehr freundlich und hat uns auch einen schönen Tisch angeboten. Das Essen war fantastisch und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gerne kommen wir wieder

Ein empfehlenswertes kulinarisches Meisterwerk in jeder Hinsicht! Unser Besuch im Restaurant Gioia war eine kulinarische Offenbarung, die von Anfang bis Ende von außergewöhnlicher Frische, Qualität und Kompetenz geprägt war. Jedes Gericht setzte höchste Maßstäbe und machte diesen Abend zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Das geschmorte Oktopusragout alle Genovese mit geröstetem Brot als Vorspeise ließ bereits auf die Hingabe des Restaurant zur Qualität der Zutaten deuten. Mit dem Dry aged Tomahawk Steak auf einem Rucola-Parmesan-Bett wurden unsere Erwartungen maßgeblich übertroffen. Das zarte Fleisch schmolz buchstäblich auf der Zunge, der hervorragende Geschmack entfaltete sich in jedem Bisse. Der krönende Abschluss ergab sich mit der frischen Kaki auf Mascarpone. Durch die ideale Kombination von einer leicht sauren Note und einer extremen Süße wird ein extrem ausgeklügelter Nachtisch serviert. Neben der hervorragenden Arbeit des Küchenpersonals, möchten wir auch das talentierte Servicepersonal hervorheben. Sie waren ständig danach bestrebt, unsere kulinarischen Wünsche nachzugehen. Die Weinauswahl ergänzte jede Speise auf wunderbarer Weise. Ich hoffe, mit den nachfolgenden Bildern unser Erlebnis verständlich zu machen. Wir freuen uns bereits auf unseren nächsten Besuch, um erneut eure köstlichen Speisen und eure herzliche Gastfreundschaft genießen zu dürfen.

Einer der besten Italiener in Düsseldorf! Unser Besuch war ne glatte Eins! Essen und Service einwandfrei. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Preise etwas höher aber dafür sehr gute Qualität!

Schönes Lokal. Essen war sehr gut und die Portion ausreichend. Die Bedienung sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Etwas erschreckt hat mit die Speisekarte, Lose Blattsammlung in verknitterten Leitzhüllen. Wollte schon gehen, bin aber zum Glück geblieben. Die Speisekarte ist für mich die Visitenkarte eines Restaurants.

Service: 2 von 3 Kellnerinnen haben kein Deutsch gesprochen, was für uns kein Problem war allerdings haben sie am Anfang gar nicht gesprochen und die Flasche Wein bspw. Kommentarlos präsentiert und eingegossen. Hier könnte man auch um dem personal ein besseres Gefühl zu geben die Basics beibringen. Der Service war aufmerksam und zügig. Ambiente: Das Restaurant ist in optisch okay, die Tische stehen viel zu nah aneinander. An einigen Stellen kann ein Gast nicht aufstehen, wenn der dahinter nicht vorrückt, was wir als störend empfinden haben. Zudem sind die Tische teilweise so nah nebeneinander, dass man wirklich jedes Gespräch hören kann. Essen: wir hatten vor-, Haupt, und Nachspeise und haben uns von vegan über Fisch und Fleisch durchprobiert. Leider hat nichts so richtig überzeugt. Die Gazpacho war wie ein Gemüsepüree, Pizza kalt und zäh, Lammhaxe war gut aber die Nudelgerichte waren fast in Sauce ertränkt. Alles in allem wurden die Erwartungen nicht soweit erfüllt, dass wir noch einmal wiederkommen würden.

Hier essen wir besonders gerne. Die Karte ist etwas besonderes. Insbesondere die tollen Vorspeisen sind ganz speziell und extrem lecker. Und danach die supergute Pasta.

Wir waren das erste Mal spontan ohne Reservierung dort und sind sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen worden. Wir saßen draußen auf der Terrasse, waren aber auch von dem liebevoll gestalteten Innenbereich sehr angetan. Die Weinempfehlung war sehr gut und sowohl die Vorspeise als auch die Pizzen waren sehr köstlich. Obwohl das Restaurant sehr gut gefüllt war, war das Personal äußerst aufmerksam, super freundlich und wir mussten auch nicht lange auf das Essen warten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder und bringen dann auch Freunde mit!

Wir hatten einen richtig tollen Abend im Gioia! Das Essen war Weltklasse, der Service sehr nett und vor allem sehr schnell und das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Haben in Düsseldorf im Restaurant noch keine vergleichbare Pizza gegessen und das muss schon etwas heißen!
