The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. It was a really lovely place and the restrooms were very clean and tidy.

We were a group of five and every dish was absolutely delicious. Everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff was incredibly efficient, very friendly, and especially kind to our youngest, keeping him entertained during the short wait. The dessert is also highly recommended. If we're ever in Niendorf again, we'll definitely be back!

We reserved a table a day in advance. Since our visit was on January 1st and almost all the tables had "Reserved" signs, we assume that both the staff and the kitchen knew the restaurant would be very busy. Unfortunately, our visit still almost turned into a small disaster. Our order was really straightforward: salad, tomato soup, pizza, and a burger. Despite this, we had to wait over an hour before anything edible even arrived. After about 55 minutes, only the tomato soup arrived. It was only then that we realized bread was supposed to accompany the soup, which arrived another 10 minutes later, after we had already finished the soup. The salad only came after we asked again, also after waiting for over an hour. The main courses finally arrived even later. The impression was clear: all the guests were waiting an extremely long time; something had obviously gone seriously wrong in the kitchen that day. What I absolutely must emphasize positively: the service was excellent. Very friendly, patient, and diplomatic. With humor and apt explanations, she tried to defuse the situation for all the guests. It was clear that the service staff did everything they could to salvage the situation – a huge compliment to them. Next to us sat a family with four children who, fortunately, had come prepared and brought UNO cards. The children had finished several rounds of the game before the food arrived – which clearly illustrates how long the wait actually was. Regarding the food itself: The tomato soup was tasty, but nothing special. The pizza, burger, and salad were average, more bistro-level than restaurant-level. A wait of over an hour is simply unjustified for this quality. Conclusion: It's very disappointing that such a friendly and professional service team has to cope with an obviously poorly organized kitchen operation. I'm awarding 3 stars solely because of the staff – they really deserved 5 stars. Unfortunately, there's a lot of room for improvement in the kitchen and the organization. A real shame.

We were there for the first time this evening, and certainly not the last. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the food. The server was completely unfazed by all our extra requests; on the contrary, he remembered everything and didn't need to write anything down. He was also very attentive. A big thank you, and this is often forgotten, to the excellent kitchen staff as well. If we don't like a meal, we don't argue; we simply don't go back. Not here, though; we've found our favorite restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Rude and arrogant service!!! They should be truly ashamed of themselves! You have to plan on waiting a good hour for the food... Prices are a bit inflated, but just about acceptable. The menu is very simple, with little refinement or flexibility; the food is okay...when it comes out right. But we definitely won't be going back!

We had to wait 2.5 hours for our order. The promised time was 45 to 60 minutes. We asked several times when the food would arrive. They always said it would be in 10 minutes. The 10 minutes turned out to be longer than an hour. Never again Feuerstein...

I've rarely had such a bad meal. I waited 40 minutes for the food, even though I had pre-ordered it at a specific time and even asked for it again. When it was ready, it was placed behind me without a word. No apology, nothing. The extra ingredients I'd ordered were missing, and the pizza, which cost almost €20 with two extra ingredients, was more like a bad snack bar in terms of quality. Cold, rubbery crust, ingredients you had to hunt for, and a tasteless, thick layer of rubbery cheese on top. Sour cream that successfully tasted of nothing, and nachos topped with the same tasteless, rubbery cheese that was on the pizza. Here, too, the extra ingredient was missing, and you had to try to tear each of the cold and sticky nachos away from a large lump. The female employee behind the counter was the only positively friendly bright spot there. The male server just rattled off a pleasant sentence to all the guests and was rather unpleasantly arrogant afterward. Actually, I usually only leave reviews on Google if I have something good to say, but I'll make an exception here. I will definitely never eat here again.

We won't go back here. Fries with burgers cost extra and weren't even asked about. The burger was extremely dry, and the water was €8?! Better to go somewhere else, as the wait for food is also really long.

There were two of us and we were seated immediately without a reservation. At first, it seemed friendly and inviting. Then we ordered our food and were disappointed with the value for money. Our food also arrived before our drinks. Overall, the place felt very hectic and uncomfortable. After asking the waiter if everything was okay and we criticized him, the first argument broke out. When we wanted to pay at the counter, the waiter started arguing again. We felt uncomfortable and cannot recommend this place at all. The owners are quite self-absorbed and don't accept criticism. We were also immediately asked where we were from and had to explain ourselves. I would never eat there again. Not recommended!

We got a table in the restaurant right away, but we had to wait a very long time for our food. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident; other guests also had to endure long waits. Furthermore, without asking, only large drinks were served, even though a smaller size is listed on the regular menu. The food itself was delicious, but there was a bit too much cheese on the pizza for us.

Extreme wait times of two hours for three people. The pizzas taste good, but the chicken wings are barely better than frozen food. Other guests received incorrect orders and complained of stomach aches. As compensation for the inconvenience, they offered only a 10% discount and not even an apology.

We ordered for delivery. The order arrived on time. The delivery person was very friendly. Unfortunately, things didn't go smoothly during delivery; most of the toppings on the pizza fell off (see picture). On top of that, parts of the pizza were already very soft. That was a bit of a shame, because it usually tasted really good. But that shouldn't have happened. Especially since the pizza was already expensive at €15.70 (ham and mushrooms). The Caesar salad we ordered was delicious, but it lacked croutons and the meat was quite overseasoned, which somewhat affected the overall taste. The tiramisu we ordered was very tasty. Overall, 4 stars is still okay, as the food was by no means bad, but unfortunately, a few things weren't quite right. Too many for 5 stars, though, and too good for 3 stars.

Not recommended at all... I was served by one of the managers there, and they were very rude and unaccommodating. They also reprimanded other employees in the middle of the restaurant. The food is a typical tourist trap.

We were greeted with a friendly smile, and our dog was also warmly welcomed. "Dogs are family and therefore very welcome here." We had cheeseburgers, fries, and a Feuerstein salad. The dishes were lovingly prepared and tasted absolutely delicious. We come from a wine-growing region and were thrilled with the wine selection. We particularly liked the Dornfelder from Rheinhessen. Since our table was by the door and cold autumn air wafted in as new guests entered, I was very happy to have a blanket for my legs. The Feuerstein was undergoing a renovation. This was our first time back at the new Feuerstein since the renovation. Everything has changed since then: a new menu, a new team, and new prices, too. The food was very good! Unfortunately, after the menu was brought, it took a long time to order. Even after asking if we'd been forgotten, it took quite a while.

The new owners have completely renovated, furnished, and transformed the restaurant, including a fantastic children's play area. Great service, excellent food quality, everything top-notch!

We ate there three times. Really delicious. The baked noodles and salmon with vegetables are highly recommended. The cocktail was delicious. My children were welcome. There's a play area. At the end, there were lollipops for the kids. One of my children didn't like the waffles with ice cream. But everyone has different tastes. My son even got a car as a gift from the play area. I wanted to buy it because he really wanted it. But the owner just gave it to him. :) Everything was clean. Great atmosphere. Nice waitress. Highly recommended hot dishes.

Two of us came here for dinner. It was very busy, and the noise level was accordingly high. We also waited a long time for our food. The service was very friendly and attentive. You're greeted warmly as soon as you enter the restaurant. But the entire atmosphere and ambiance seemed very cold and uncomfortable. But the food was good.

Before the reopening this year, we were regulars at the old Feuerstein for over 20 years during our regular stays in Niendorf or Timmendorf. We've been there with all the moves. Under the previous owners, the Feuerstein had a unique selling point in the region. You could eat there with the whole family. There was something for every taste, especially for children. And the prices were in the lower range, which was particularly convenient for families. The casseroles differed in flavor. Now, it seems, they use the same tomato cream sauce and the same pasta for every casserole. This makes the different casseroles taste very similar. They taste good, but there's no longer any noticeable difference. Furthermore, the prices have been raised significantly. Here, the schnitzel with hunter's sauce for €30 is a real eye-catcher. The new owners, who also help with service, are very friendly and attentive. And the renovations also make the premises appear more chic and modern. But the unique selling point of good, plentiful, varied, and affordable food is unfortunately gone. The prices and menu options have been adjusted to match those of other restaurants in the region. What a shame.

Definitely not a recommendation. The second star is only for the friendly, memorized greeting. The pizzas were softer than the delivery service after a 15-minute drive. The pasta was tasty, but it was also extremely greasy. After the greeting, the staff became completely inattentive, which also led to us consuming less than planned. A complaint from the neighboring table was ignored... The location is very nice. The desserts looked very good at the next table. Perhaps this place is recommended for coffee and cake.

You'll be disappointed the second time around, too. We ate at the Feuerstein restaurant twice. On both visits, we were served the wrong dishes. At first, they refused to admit they had made a mistake and sold us the rosemary potatoes that weren't served as "potatoes." We had pasta and salami pizza and a quattro Formmaggi pizza. The pizza was delicious, and the quattro Formmaggi was very thickly topped with cheese. The pasta was delicious and plentiful. The pizza looked and tasted suspiciously similar to the Dr. Oetker frozen pizza. The wait was long (about an hour), but it was also full. The server was nice. We won't do that again.
