Restaurant Diavolo in Lübeck

A really nice little restaurant. We really enjoyed the food. We went there spontaneously in the evening and were happy to get a table for two. However, we felt the service staff were a bit overwhelmed, even though the restaurant wasn't full. Our main courses arrived promptly. Our tiramisu was also very tasty, but unfortunately, one of the figs in the fruit garnish was starting to mold. I noticed it early enough, which wasn't a big deal for me. It can happen in a rush, but it shouldn't be.

We had a lovely evening and enjoyed a very good meal. Thank you very much.

Great place! The service was super friendly and fast. The appetizer of bruschetta and bread with garlic dip was absolutely delicious! For main course, we had the Pizza Mario and pasta with tuna. Both were delicious!

Super nice place, right across from Marie Church in old Lübeck. There were 4 of us having lunch. We had Pasta, Pizza and Tiramisu. The food tasted really good, the coffee was freshly made. We can highly recommend the place.

The service is warm and attentive, and you immediately feel welcome. The interior combines modern design with a Mediterranean flair. We've enjoyed various excellent dishes at Diavolo several times. The pizza is my personal highlight.

The best pasta that I have eaten outside of Italy! Every bite is full of flavor, cooked perfectly, and portions that leave you full and satisfied! The place to be when dining in Lübeck! Bonus points for a warm interior, and affordability!

A friendly place near St. Mary's Church (Marienkirche) in reference to the devil of the church. Very warm welcome and good pizzas (I recommend the Diavolo).

Three of us spontaneously stopped by today. There was still room, so we ordered two pizzas and one pasta dish. The chef served us personally and was very nice. The pizzas and pasta dishes arrived promptly, but there were only a handful of guests there. I had the vegetarian pizza and was more than satisfied with both its appearance and taste. The pizza was very well topped, with a thin base and a thicker, crispier crust. The other pizza (Diabolo) and the pasta (Diabolo) also received high praise. We were also given chili oil upon request, which was also good. We were really impressed with the food, I especially liked the pizza. The chef was very pleased that we praised the pizzas. That's exactly how a pizza should be. The prices are fair. The chef noticed that we shared the bottle of water between us and, after discussing it, split the price of the bottle right away. This has never happened to me personally. I can definitely recommend this pizzeria highly.

The Diavolo restaurant surprised us with its simple yet functional decor. The focus here is clearly on the food, and that's a good thing. The owner and staff were very attentive and especially child-friendly, which made our stay very pleasant. The pizza we ordered was simply fantastic. I haven't had such good pizza in a long time. The fresh ingredients and the perfect amount of cheese really brought out the flavor. You can tell that a lot of passion and attention to detail goes into the work here. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Lübeck. The only downside is the high parking fees nearby, but that's not the pizzeria's fault, of course. In conclusion: If you're in Lübeck and want to enjoy a really good pizza, you should definitely pay a visit to the Diavolo restaurant. It's worth it!

Absolutely fantastic Italian atmosphere, with a lovely experience of good Italian food. Pasta not overcooked but so nice al dente, the salad good and flavorful Really good and friendly hosts. Can definitely recommend this place

We went to Diavolo in Lübeck with our two children (6 and 9 years old) and had a really lovely evening there. The restaurant is super child-friendly and cozy – you immediately feel welcome. The pizza was great! I had a Gorgonzola, which was really flavorful, and the kids each had a children's portion of Margherita: just the right size and flavor. For dessert, we had ice cream with whipped cream and Smarties, a highlight for both of them. We felt completely at home and can highly recommend Diavolo, especially for families. We'd love to come back!

I'd even give it 10 stars. The staff is very friendly, and the owner-managed restaurant. The skill with which they serve pizza is something you won't find anywhere else in Lübeck. A feeling of Bella Italia... they serve it with oil and garlic... freshly prepared and homemade, of course. No restaurant on the Trave can compete... a place to be... with luck, you'll even meet famous people and stars on weekday evenings... I had a pizza 🍕 for starters and tortellini for my main course... and because the pizza was so good, I had another one for dessert... they even gave me a bowl of freshly pressed olive oil to take home... and an espresso on the house... the prices are definitely cheaper than on the tourist strip... it's worth it...

I ate at the restaurant with my 6-year-old daughter. She got a children's pizza and ate rub and stub. I myself got one of the dishes from the board; a lovely cannelloni with spinach and ricotta. Everything tasted great. Particularly appreciated was the service. The host couple were smiling and welcoming to both children and adults. We would love to come again!

I actually wanted a lasagna, but unfortunately it was out. The alternative was a watery casserole. Service also took a very long time. All in all pretty disappointing.

Im Restaurant Diavolo in Lübeck waren wir nicht nur von dem in eigener Pizza Ofen Selb gemachte Pizzas mehr als überzeugt aber die Penne Alforno sowie den Salmonboca waren meher als hervorragend. Wir waren zu 4 dort und kommen immer gern wieder ! dazu haben wir ein Primitivo genossen sowie ein Selbstgemachte Tiramisu zum Dessert. Unser Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Seit ich letztes Jahr nach Lübeck gezogen bin, war die Suche nach authentischem italienischem Essen eine echte Mission – aber hier wurde ich fündig. Alle Gerichte haben mir bisher super geschmeckt, aber die Pizza sticht wirklich heraus. Sie schmeckt total traditionell und der Teig ist einfach perfekt: schön knusprig, fluffig und genau richtig zubereitet. Wirklich die beste Pizza, die ich kenne! Absolute Empfehlung!

An absolutely recommended restaurant! Not only was the food incredibly tasty, but the portions were more than generous. I was particularly impressed by the dessert, which not only tasted excellent but was also beautifully presented. The staff was extremely nice and always accommodating and responded to all of our requests. To top it all off, we even got a drink on the house – a great gesture! I'll definitely come back.

You really can't complain. The occupancy is pleasant, you don't have to wait forever for your food. The service is absolutely first class. Both the pizza and the tagliatelle with salmon taste excellent. Absolutely top! Gladly again if you visit the region again.
