Restaurant Deeba in München

Four of us ate at this restaurant! What we were served was not what we expected. The food was bad. The nan (bread) was too thick and the sauces weren't freshly made at all. We were disappointed and can't recommend it!

We ordered here from Wolt. The food arrived very hot. The best tasting Indian food in my opinion!

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is friendly and attentive. A great recommendation for anyone who wants to try Pakistani cuisine.

Do they serve the juiciest chicken north of the Alps? I don't know for certain, but I suspect that being the case. We come here about once a month, bc our toddler loves the food (and so do we). The restaurant does not look very "hip" and thus caters primarily to the previously young. Great value.

One of the few Halal restaurants in the area food was good but a lot expensive for some reason may be Munich is expensive as a whole not sure. Owner is a lovely Pakistani guy and was very welcoming and hospitality was amazing.

Used to be my favorite restaurant. Even my parents, who come from a small town, loved the friendly owner, who speaks Bavarian and is a warm-hearted person! Unfortunately, the food isn't prepared the way it used to be, which is a shame. Everyone has raised their prices, so I'm not saying anything.

We recently tried Restaurant Deeba and overall had a very good experience. The mango lassi, raitas, and mango chutney were all excellent, fresh, and full of flavor. We also ordered the bhuna gosht, which was delicious with tender meat and a rich, well-balanced gravy. The chapatis were soft and perfectly made, pairing well with the curries. However, the BBQ platter was disappointing. It didn’t taste like authentic Pakistani BBQ at all and was very dry and bland, lacking the spices and juiciness we expected. Overall, a great spot for curries and sides, but we wouldn’t recommend the BBQ platter.

Halal food. Excellent taste, do try BBQ options and murgh masala.

Ich/wir besuche/n das Restaurant seit Jahren in unregelmässigen Abständen und sind von dem konstant überzeugenden Gesamtbild überzeugt. Die Speisen sind mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet, die Preise sind akzeptabel, der Service aufmerksam und professionell und: Alle Tische haben strahlend weiße Tischwäsche und -servietten.

One of the best Pakistani/Indian restaurants so far. The food was very tasty and the two employees were also very nice. Butter chicken tastes really good here :)

There were two of us and we each ordered a meat mix. The meat was well seasoned and tasty. There were also vegetables in the pan, the mix was okay. Onions slightly burnt. With the rice there was a pot of sauce for two people. The taste was good, but there was not enough sauce overall. As we walked, “have a nice evening” simply didn’t come up at all.

The taste was perfect and the staff members out there were so kind, gonna visit every time when I'm in Munich. Must visit for everyone who misses their home food

My friend and I saw this restaurant by chance. It was empty so we wanted to try it out. The service was very attentive and friendly. They gave us recommendations on what to order, especially because being Pakistani restaurant, I wanted to know what their speciality was. I don't remember the name of the dish but everything we ordered was delicious and we had a great time.

A great restaurant with delicious food and a nice family atmosphere. The service was excellent - the owner was extremely friendly, attentive and had all orders immediately in mind. You can feel that people work here with passion. I would definitely like to come back!

The most pathetic restaurant in whole Germany. I visited with my 5 month old baby and the staff was so rude to us despite the whole restaurant was empty. The food was either too much salt or had no spice.

The Mutton Biryani was authentic and very flavourful throughout the rice. I also had the Tea with a request for very little sugar in it and it was one of the best Indian milk teas I have ever had in Munich yet.

I have no idea how long this restaurant has been around, but I have been a regular guest for about 20 years and I can say without exaggeration that it has always been first class during that time. An absolute recommendation!

Other than the nice service it's not worth anything, too expensive for such a mix of food, I ordered mutton vindalu, tasteless and boring, so was the butter panner, the naan was too thick. I don't understand how they have 4.4 stars unless we picked a bad night but it was empty and we left at 8.30pm on a weekend.

Leider mal wieder eine Enttäuschung. Wie immer lasch gewürzt, dafür aber versalzen. Portion eher sehr klein. Huhnstücke verkocht und hart. Service unfreundlich. Bei Beschwerden gibts noch eine drauf , s.o. Hätte es stehen gelassen, wenn ich genügend Zeit gehabt hätte, um was besseres zu finden, das muss er wohl gerochen haben. Indisches Ambiente = 0, aber der Typ ist ja auch ein Pakistani. Habe dann einfach den Endbetrag angepasst und tschüss ;-)

I used to love it here, the food was actually always good, but for a few weeks/months the prices had become so absurdly expensive, sometimes +4-5€, I ask myself why and that it was all over long after Corona and the inflation price boost. It's a shame but unfortunately it's no longer worth it for the money :(

Friendly, tasty, good. A few less common dishes can also be found on the menu. The service was friendly, quick and attentive but not intrusive. Some of the Veg Jalferezi was frozen, which would be nice to optimize. We'd love to come back. Tip: Egg Biryani and Chicken Lahori were really good!

It is a very nice place to eat food. Some dishes are really good. Especially if you are not vegetarian then you are good to go. For vegetarian they have good options but not the authentic taste. Overall its a decent place with both indoor and outdoor seatings. You can go and sit with large groups (15-20) people. But not more than that. Even they might accompany you. Service is good and staff is really polite and smiling. Price wise i am satisfied. Its not expensive. But, i am confused about one thing. Same dish when served in lunch can coat different when ordered during dinner ??? How and why would you do that ?

The food was good and authentic. Although the food is similar to Indian food, the restaurant offers somewhat different and unique dishes than the plethora of Indian restaurants in Munich. We ordered the Achari Chicken tikka which was really good. For the main dish we ordered the Chicken Lahori which was also quite tasty. Would have given 4.5 stars if it was possible.

The food was super tasty. We didn't have to wait long for it either. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely highly recommended.

The atmosphere was cozy. A good place to dine with family.

Chicken Korma bestellt. Schlecht, geschmacklos, keine Spur von Joghurt und absolut nicht gewürzt. Die Sauce hat einfach nur nach Milchpulver geschmeckt und war viel zu süß, wie ein Dessert. Sogar der Reis war einfach nur schlecht. Verdient nicht mal ein Stern. Nie wieder.

Mit Abstand das beste pakistanische Restaurant der Stadt! Super aufmerksamer aufmerksamer Service und das Essen ist immer eine 10/10!

We ordered the Deeba grill platter. They provide a bowl of rice, curry and salad with it. On asking, they even provide extra rice and curry, free of cost. We were fully satisfied with the service. The staff are friendly and can suggest you what to try as per your taste. We will definitely visit again.

Ich war nicht hier, sondern NEBENAN in dem sehr kleinen indischen "Straßenrestaurant", das aber irgendwie mit diesem teuren pakistanischen Restaurant zusammenhängt. Das KLEINE, das schon seit vielen Jahren existiert, ist ein Original: Sitze, Tische, Tischdecke buntes Plastik, Geschirr, Wände... Es ist gut für eine schnelle Mahlzeit, Speisen ca ab €10.00. Der junge Mann kocht sichtbar auf kleinem Herd, frisch, manches kommt vom grossen Restaurant. Dürfte so in München nirgends mehr zu finden sein! 🍀

A very nice place to enjoy Pakistani cuisines. Upon our trip to Munich, we went couple of times to the restaurant, once for Lunch and once for dinner. Both times the service, greetings and food were excellent and same. The wait time from order to serve was 10 minutes. We highly recommend it!

The only place with actual good taste. Recommend if you want to experience the taste of Pakistani food.

Amazing home away from home! We were traveling around Europe and since it was Eid Al Adha yesterday, totally missed home cooked Eid meal, hence found this gem! Great food and hospitality. Really bad food. they have one sauce and when are you order any dish they take some meat or veg and put it in the same terrible yellowish mud like sauce and give it to you. Please tell them that you saw this review on TripAdvisor and they need to improve the food a little at least.

One of the fire Pakistan restaurants in Munich. Dishes are very similar to indian food, but there are some exception and uniques. Food was good and abundant. Service a bit rude. Unfortunately only few tables, so that reservation is absolutely necessary.

We stopped there after a long morning at the Alte Pinakothek. We were looking for a different place but stopped to look at their menu. One waiter pointed us at their lunch specials, and that's what we had. I had the lamb in spinach, wife had the chicken masala (butter chicken), came with rice and a small salad. We added naan, of course. Both entrees and the naan were excellent. Service was attentive and efficient, our meals came out quickly.

Bin achon 6. Mal dort. Lamm ist so zart und perfekt. Wie Filet. Habe auch Okra gegessen. Es war so delicious . Komme Gern wieder.

Meine Familie und ich haben dort vor zwei Tagen bestellt und das Essen war so lecker, wenn meine Familie in München ist, gehen wir immer zum besten Pakistaner!!! Das Ambiente ist sehr freundlich auch wenn sie unter Druck stehen! Der Preis stimmt auch noch wie angegossen, also was will man mehr.( Probiert es aus ,super lecker!) We found this rare gem in Munich by chance. wow, simply divine. We're very happy to have found this amazing Pakistani restaurant, we will definitely be coming back soon. Order the palak ghost, it's the best by far!!

First time I have visited a restaurant with no service!? Had an outdoor table given to us. Good start, but should have seen the warning sign as the waiter was continuously on his cell phone. He nodded towards the table and handed us the menu cards. After 20 min nothing had happen. No sign of the waiter. He than emerged in the doorway on the phone. We managed to catch his attention, he signaled he would be with us staight away, but than another 10 min wait and he never showed up. We then left. I hope the other guests outside were ok waithing for 30 min without any attention. Undoubtedly the rudest and most arogant service I have ever experienced. Focus was clearly on take away not on us. I am sure the food is much better than the service that night. Perhaps something went wrong that evening in the kitchen. If that was the case, have the decency to tell the customers of the situation. Do not waste our time.

We accidentally stumbled upon Deeba many years ago and have been to this restaurant many times since then.They offer authentic and delicious Pakistani food. Do try it out if you are in Munich, Its the perfect pick for food lovers to satiate their desi cravings!!

This is an authentic pakistani restaurant serving high quality food at a reasonable price level. Really fresh and authentic food and nice staff.

The food is incredible and fresh. Every meal I have ever had from this restaurant, dine in or to go, is perfectly seasoned, hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. The average plate is around 15 Euros. The host and waitstaff are cheerful and friendly. They speak English as well! The atmosphere is romantic. White tablecloths, candles and fresh cut flowers on each table. The location of the restaurant is ideal. It's exactly on the tram and bus stop called Pinakotheken, right in the heart of Munich's museum district. Pakistani food is delicious and Deeba is simply the best. You will not be disappointed!

Wir kennen das Deeba nun schon seit 2010 oder länger und sind viele Male zu Gast gewesen. In den letzten Jahren des Vorbesitzers hatten wir immer mal wieder das Gefühl, dass die Qualität teilweise etwas nachgelassen hat, daher waren wir länger nicht mehr dort. Aus Anlass des Besuches unseres Geschäftspartners und Freundes aus Pakistan haben wir letzte Woche einen neuen Versuch unternommen und sind auf ganzer Linie überrascht worden. Hervorragendes und authentisches Essen und ein sehr aufmerksamer Service. Die Portionen sind groß, das Essen sehr schmackhaft gewürzt, nach dem gewünschten Schärfenrad ist gefragt worden. Aktuell kenne ich kein besseres Pakistanisches Restaurant in München, daher gute 4 Sterne und bis zum nächsten Mal.

as soon as you enter Deeba you are made to feel welcome and special. They have a very good menu - not too big but with a great selection. They will make dishes you request which are not on the menu if possible. The food is just wonderful -presented well, cooked to your requirements on how spicy you like it - and the taste is out of this world.
