The food is disastrous. The veal schnitzel for €30 is an absolute disgrace. The fried potatoes that came with it are wobbly, lacking in texture, and definitely microwaved. They've apparently run out of salt that evening. The schnitzel doesn't have a nice golden-brown crust, is soft, and feels like it's been reheated. Probably microwaved, too. The currywurst with fries is okay, but not exactly mind-blowing. As a bar, it's probably quite cool; the outdoor seating is nice, but you're better off eating somewhere else.

Had dinner at the Marianenhof yesterday – absolutely fantastic! The food was a solid 10, with relaxed music and an Italian waiter who knows exactly how to pamper his guests. All in all, a perfect evening – highly recommended!

The marinade on the pork ribs was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. They came with soft cartilage, no unpleasant smell, and were tender enough to enjoy easily. Since our schedule was affected by the rain, the restaurant kindly allowed us to dine earlier. As ribs take longer to grill, the waiter reminded us that we would need to wait about 20 minutes, which we really appreciated. The waiter was very friendly with a warm smile, and the restaurant had a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere. My son and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner to conclude our trip in Germany. Many thanks to the kind people who made it such a pleasant experience.

The pizza is delicious, with a thin, cracker-like crust and a blend of milky and floury aromas. The barbecued pork ribs are also crispy and tender. The mozzarella salad is also highly recommended. The shrimp pasta was a bit ordinary, but also delicious. It's recommended to arrive early, as the later you go, the more crowded it gets.

This restaurant is racist. First, he saw me and gave me the Chinese menu even though I said I needed the English one. I was never asked for a tip when I came here with my German friends before, but only Asian were asked for tips. The staff's hygiene awareness is very poor, and they touch the parts of the cutlery that come into contact with the food with their hands. When you refuse to tip, they will even make sarcastic remarks. I hope tourists know that tipping is not mandatory in Munich, especially in restaurants that are not close to tourist attractions. If you don't want to give, it is very unreasonable to ask for it. Not to mention that they treat you differently based on your race.

The ribs were absolutely delicious! The meat was tender, but the skin was crispy and toasty, and the oil was toasted to perfection, so it wasn't greasy. The prawns were served with bread as an appetizer, and the sauce was incredible. I could have had two more slices of bread to go with the sauce!

Good atmosphere and friendly service

We went here specifically to try the Flammkuchen. The traditional one wasn't particularly outstanding, but the goat cheese and pear ragù was really good (€14.90 each) and the perfect amount for one person. The service left a little to be desired. It took 40 minutes to bring out the dishes, and they didn't bring us tap water when we asked for it (bottled water was €3.70 for ONLY 0.25L).

I had an amazing burger with fries here but my fiancé ordered spareribs that were really dry and not eatible at all. Our server fixed it so that it got taken off the bill, so I give them credit for that. So… definitely recommend the burger!

Terrible experience. It was raining that night and freezing cold. We entered and asked where to sit. The waitress was rearranging tables and said “Don’t you see I’m busy? You won’t be died for waiting few minutes!” The food is not so good, very salty. Won’t be there again!

The Mariannenhof in Munich is fantastic! Our waitress, Frederic, was especially friendly and attentive – truly fantastic service. The Obazda cordon bleu is a dream: crispy, juicy, and with a delicious filling. Highly recommended; we'd love to come back!

Waren hier terecht gekomen vanwege de goede beoordelingen maar zijn wat teleurgesteld. De curryworst was niets speciaals, leek wel een bockworst met curry-saus. Viel dus wat tegen. De cordonbleu droop van het vet. Dat moet echt beter kunnen. De löffelkartofeln (frietjes) waren erg lekker. De porties waren groot genoeg. Ook het getapte biertje smaakte uitstekend. Kom hier graag terug voor een drankje, maar van het eten ben ik helaas niet overtuigd.

A welcoming and lively place. We had the ribs with various toppings, which were really good. They serve classic dishes, but the menu also features Asian dishes—a bit of fusion cuisine, let's say... For four of us, each ordering a meat dish, plus drinks, we spent €118, including tip. The price is average for the place.

Ok food, terrible service. Told by a friend to visit here. Not so busy during a Sunday evening but seemed like short of staff. Got there 7:16pm, wasn’t asked what to drink to start with until 7:30 and not even asked about what to order for the main course. Around 7:49 another server finally realized that I have been sitting there for a while and already feel disgusted. He asked me have I ordered a beer and served me after just 3 minutes. Also I told the server that I was ready to order around 7:25 because no one asked me what to order. But answer was always ‘one moment please’ and I wasn’t even sure how many ‘moments’ passed as I looked at the time and it was another some 20-25 minutes, that the server walked passed me numerous times finally stopped by and asked me what to order. Food was finally served around 8:10 pm and I was there already for an hour. The food was ok, like not the best but still decent ribs. The fries wasn’t good enough and tasted like over baked and kinda hollow. The beer was pretty good. The second server apologized about the service when I got the check but still had the gut to ask for a tip. I gave 5% because he was actually way better than the first server. The moment I went out the restroom and left after check, I saw the first server had already cleaned up my table. Time taken for serving my beer? 25 minutes. Time taken for taking my food order? Over 20 minutes. Time taken for cleaning up my table? 1 minute because I guess they wish I wasn’t there.

A cold Augustiner beer in a quiet corner of Lehel. The ribs are their signature, and other dishes are also excellent (burgers, ham noodles). Top-rated on Tripadvisor, so there's always a good international crowd, but always super down-to-earth, friendly, and top-notch service. There's nothing better on warm Munich evenings.

A pleasant inn in southern Lehel with an extensive menu – from tarte flambée to burgers, they offer everything. Outdoor areas on two sides of the corner building, so you can usually find a sunny spot even in the cramped old Lehel building. Very friendly and attentive service. Honest food for the price, although there's room for improvement, which would be a reason for me to give it a fifth star.

ABSOLUTE RUDENESS AND POSSIBLE DISCRIMINATION! I was at the Mariannenhof with friends today – and the experience was simply outrageous. Although I visited the restaurant last year despite numerous negative reviews, I was still pleasantly surprised: The food was okay, the service friendly, I left a 10% tip, and recommended the restaurant to others. Today, however, it was a disaster. The ribs – a disgrace: hardly any meat, almost all bones. I then clearly stated that I would only tip 5% this time. No problem, I thought – after all, tips are a voluntary recognition for good service. But when I asked for the bill to split, I discovered, furiously, that the waitress had simply increased the tip to 10% WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. This isn't an oversight – this is intentional fraud. I seriously wonder: Would they allow this to happen to German guests as well? Or do they believe they can do whatever they want with foreign guests because they don't dare speak up? I suspect targeted discrimination here. I find this behavior absolutely disrespectful, dishonest, and deeply shameful. A restaurant that treats guests this way should be ashamed of even having customers. I will definitely never set foot in this restaurant again—and I will warn everyone else not to.

I recently went to Restaurant Mariannenhof and had an overall great experience! I would particularly like to highlight the waitress Yasmin, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. She gave us very competent advice when choosing the dishes and recommended exactly the right thing for our taste. She also made a fantastic Limoncello Spritz – absolutely refreshing and perfectly paired! The service and atmosphere at Mariannenhof were excellent – ​​I’ll definitely be back!

The signature ribs taste good but are overrated. The serving time was extremely slow, and there was tin foil stuck to the bottom of the ribs, so I'm not sure if I even ate them. There was basically no service. I ate half a portion and was not full, so I ordered another half and waited for 40 minutes before it was served. When it was finally served, it was too late. I told them to take it away, but the clerk said you should tell me earlier, haha, and asked the customer to apologize. Then he went to pack us. The process of packing took more than 20 minutes. I urged him countless times and said it would be ready later. I thought that it would be easier to pack a bag. Finally, when I got it in my hand, I found that the packaging boxes were all hot. I guess we gave our original ones to other customers. In the end, we had to tip haha. If you provide good service and good food, I will give it willingly. Lightning protection .

I ordered a half portion of pork ribs, which was very disappointing—more bone than meat, and the garlic flavor was barely noticeable. I really don’t understand why this place has so many high ratings. What upset me the most was the tipping situation. When I paid, the staff asked me to choose between a 5% or 10% tip, even though the food wasn’t good and the service wasn’t particularly special. I still gave a tip, but then the server mistakenly charged my credit card €94 instead of €48. Since I was using a foreign credit card, this error cost me extra due to exchange rates. They couldn’t fix the transaction and had to give me a cash refund, but they gave me the wrong amount at first. I had to point it out before they corrected it. And they didn’t refund the tip either. A frustrating overall experience and a waste of both money and time. Totally do not recommend this restaurant. The pork ribs had almost no meat, the seasoning was mediocre and not delicious at all. When checking out, they forcefully ask for a 5% or 10% service fee. It is recommended not to waste money eating at this restaurant, there are many better choices in Munich.

Il locale è carino e il menù, piuttosto ampio, include anche piatti non tipicamente tedeschi o bavaresi, come bruschette e pasta. Purtroppo, le note positive finiscono qui. Le recensioni e il punteggio su Tripadvisor avevano creato aspettative che sono state decisamente disattese. I piatti, sinceramente, non erano niente di speciale. Un’opzione da considerare solo in mancanza di alternative.

Wir hatten als Vorspeise Bruschetta und die "Knackärsche", Hauptspeisen waren die Hot Bowl mit Pute und eine Ofenkartoffel mit Lachs. Wirklich alles richtig lecker!! Der Service war der Hammer! The ribs are big in portion, but not super tasty, the sauce starts to get greasy halfway through. The fish and chips were delicious. There is only one piece of toilet paper on the table. When it was time to collect the bill, the blonde waitress insisted that "tipping is required", but the menu clearly stated that "tipping is not necessary and is voluntary". (Of course you don’t need to tip if there is no special service) (Why should I tip if there is only one piece of toilet paper…)

By visiting the GOP, came across this place before. The menu offers burgers, schnitzels, tarte flambées, pasta, etc. Good selection for what's there. Great spray variants. Service was nice but should have been more attentive, it left our table too quickly. Order was not yet completed. We ordered an Aperol and Lillet Wildberry. However, there was no Lillet but a passion fruit spritz. The waitress said she had to improvise with the decoration, but a Lillet is slightly pink in color due to the addition of wildberries. Anyone can make a mistake, the spritz still tasted good, but you should stick to the truth. Food was very tasty.

The waiter’s attitude is so bad(especially that tall woman with blonde hair) bad manners, explaining nothing when we have questions about menu, just rise voice, inpatiently. The best ribs of Munich without any doubt. Half rack with a side dish can easily feed two people, and the prices are unbeatable.

The service and atmosphere were decent, but if you don’t eat pork, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. I came here on a friend’s recommendation and was informed that all the ribs were pork, so I opted for the fried veal ribs instead. However, the texture of their fried veal ribs was like breaded and deep-fried boiled chicken breast—dry, yet oddly chewy, as if I were biting into a piece of fried cardboard. On top of that, it had a lingering gamey aftertaste of beef. The seafood pasta looked vibrant with its mix of colors, but the taste was disappointingly bland. Somehow, the chef managed to completely erase both the sweet tanginess of the tomatoes and the natural umami of the shrimp. for a moment I thought it must be something wrong so I added salt and pepper in and try to save my tastebuds, rather then bring out the flavor which it should have, it tasted like salt and pepper I have no idea what kind of magic trick was used, but the result was flavorless. I strongly do not recommend these two dishes. The service and atmosphere are pretty good, but I don’t recommend this restaurant if you can’t eat pork. I was recommended this restaurant by a friend. I was told that all ribs are pork, so I ordered the veal steak. But their fried beef short ribs taste like breaded boiled chicken breast, dry but surprisingly chewy. Like eating a piece of fried cardboard. The whole dish has a slight fishy smell of beef. Although the seafood pasta looks rich in color, it tastes bland and tasteless. I don’t know what magic the chef used to eliminate the sweet and sour tomatoes and the umami flavor of the shrimp. Percentage does not recommend these two dishes. Keine Ahnung, wie das gelungen ist, aber das Ergebnis war geschmacklos. Ich rate dringend von diesen beiden Gerichten ab.

I had dinner at this restaurant today with my family. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The food was very tasty. The sperribs are excellent. The service (Kapi) was very nice and accommodating. I can only recommend this restaurant.

Best ribs I tried in Germany after living here for 3 years. I ordered a half-portion of the Knoblauch Ribs (garlic ribs) and it was very tasty. The half serving was already huge so you might one to try two flavours instead and share it with someone. Absolutely delicious! We will come back again. My partner ordered BBQ ribs and she devoured it! It was also very good. The ambience was relaxed and the service was pleasant. I am practicing my German language skills and the server was patient in understanding me, so I appreciate this very much.

I also ordered the Bratkartoffeln which was good for sharing as well. Will definitely be back every time I'm in Munich. Easily reserved a table online and was accommodated right away to our assigned table.

We went there for dinner with the whole family (30 to 86 years old) after the GOP visit. Everyone was excited. You can get very tasty spare ribs, tarte flambée, roast pork, salads here at a fair price. There is something for everyone here. We'll definitely come back.

Really disappointing second experience. First time my friend and me had the ribs, they were amazing. We came in a second time tonight and my portion of ribs was really disappointing. Dry, only bones with barely any meat on them, definitely not worth 20€. We let the waiters know and at least they took them off our bill and were nice about it. However, they said that "it happens sometimes" . Maybe the food should be checked before leaving the kitchen, so the restaurant doesn't charge the costumers 20€ for a portion of bones.
