Sehr angenehmer und ausgezeichneter Service, ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Das Café Ludwig gehört für mich zu den schönsten Cafés in München. Die Lage im Grünen sorgt für eine entspannte und besondere Atmosphäre, die zum Verweilen einlädt. Das Ambiente ist stilvoll, modern und gleichzeitig gemütlich – perfekt für ein ausgiebiges Frühstück, einen Kaffee mit Freunden oder einen entspannten Abend. Besonders überzeugt haben mich die freundlichen und aufmerksamen Mitarbeiter, die den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm machen. Die Speisen und Getränke sind frisch, liebevoll zubereitet und geschmacklich hervorragend. Auch die Auswahl auf der Karte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas Passendes. Wer Wert auf gutes Essen, hervorragenden Service und ein schönes Ambiente legt, ist hier genau richtig. Ich komme immer wieder gerne ins Café Ludwig und kann es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Ist leider nicht zu empfehlen. Salat mit Ziegenkäse fast nicht essbar. Käse gut, aber Salat sehr lieblos und einfach mit Fertigdressing übergossen.

ich sitze seit einer stunde im aussenbereich und keine bedienung kommt. wollte gern etwas trinken und essen, aber womöglich hat die wirtschaft mein geld nicht nötig. ich ziehe weiter, leider.

Essen gut und schön draußen und drinnen zu sitzen. Neuer Pächter. Portionen etwas zu klein. Obwohl ich keinen großen Hunger hatte, musste ich mir nach den Nudeltaschen noch eine Portion Pommes bestellen, um einigermaßen satt zu werden. Gefühlt wird die Speisekarte immer kompakter und die Preise immer höher. Und die Bedienung ist nicht sehr aufmerksam. Man wartet lange auf die Karte und öfter auf seine Bestellung. Über 30 min. Für vier Kaffees sind extrem lange!

Das Team hat vor ein paar Monaten komplett gewechselt, und leider ist es seitdem chaotisch und unkoordiniert. Zweimal waren wir seitdem da und es lief beide Mal so ab: ewig warten aufs Essen (mit Kindern, über 1 Std, bis alle schlecht gelaunt oder quengelig waren). Die Hälfte der Bestellung war dann falsch oder etwas fehlte. Bis alles zusammen war, vergingen sicher nochmal 15 Minuten. Die Kellner waren wirklich nett...aber insgesamt waren wir alle froh, wieder dort wegzugehen. Der Nachbartisch mit kleinen Kindern jammerte auch. Soooo schade! Wir kommen seit der Eröffnung her, haben sogar hier unsere Hochzeit gefeiert, viele Geburtstage. Aber ich denke, zum Essen werden wir nicht mehr kommen. Die tolle Kuchentheke hat sich auf ca. 3 Kuchen dezimiert, also auch kein Grund mehr zu kommen. Sehr betrüblich.

Wir waren schon einige Male dort. Das Personal leider immer noch unqualifiziert und unmotiviert ( oder vielleicht nur gleichgültig?) Kein nachfragen ob alles in Ordnung sei oder man noch etwas möchte, der Umsatz würde dadurch deutlich besser werden, denke ich. Das Essen leider unterdurchschnittlich. Wir hatten den Eindruck, das alles in der Küche nur aufgewärmt und nicht selber gekocht wird. Alles ziemlich einfalls- und lieblos. Das letzte mal habe ich den Burger probiert. Ich dachte da kann man nicht viel machen…Das Fleisch war leider trocken und geschmacklos. Das macht sogar Mc besser. Schade, denn die Location ist super!

Dass ein Personalmangel schon länger anhält, haben wir heute leider selbst erlebt.. wir haben erst lange drauf gewartet, dass wir unsere Bestellung aufgeben konnten, dann haben wir für 5 Getränke und drei Desserts ewig noch mal lange warten müssen. War insgesamt leider schade. Bitte stellt Gutes und motiviertes Personal ein- denn die Getränke und das Dessert waren lecker!

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit toller Atmosphäre! Man wird herzlich vom Chef und Team empfangen – alle sind super freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Der Service ist schnell, man wartet kaum auf das Essen, und es schmeckt wirklich hervorragend. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich und die Preise sind absolut fair – für die Qualität sogar eher günstig. Sauberkeit und Hygiene sind top, man fühlt sich rundum wohl und bleibt gerne länger. Neue Besitzer, die den Laden mit viel Herz führen – absolut empfehlenswert! Am besten selbst hingehen und ausprobieren. Ich wünsche dem Team viel Erfolg für den neuen Start!✨🙏

Das war nix ! Bestätigte Reservierung nicht ausgeführt, Obstsalat aus Dose bis auf qcm Äpfelchen, alles einzeln nachgeordert: Besteck, kl. Löffel, Milch für Müsli etc. etc. - falschen Tee gebracht - falschen Rechnung, anderen Preis genommen, würde nicht mehr hingehen.

Ich war kürzlich in diesem Café und habe gemischte Erfahrungen gemacht. Positiv hervorzuheben ist auf jeden Fall die Kellnerin – sehr freundlich und bemüht, trotz der Situation einen guten Eindruck zu hinterlassen. Allerdings wirkt das Team extrem überfordert. Hinter der gesamten Organisation, Auslieferung und Priorisierung der Bestellungen scheint leider überhaupt kein System zu stecken. Es kam mehrfach vor, dass das Essen deutlich vor den Getränken serviert wurde, obwohl man darauf ohnehin schon etwa 40 Minuten gewartet hat. Dass es manchmal zu längeren Wartezeiten kommt, gerade bei Unterbesetzung, ist absolut verständlich – dafür habe ich auch vollstes Verständnis. Aber hier fehlt es wirklich dringend an Struktur und klaren Abläufen im Laden. Mit einer besseren Organisation könnte man das Erlebnis für Gäste deutlich verbessern, ohne dass das Personal dabei noch mehr belastet wird.

Das Café Ludwig hat eine super Location, aber der Service ist inzwischen leider katastrophal. Wir haben in den letzten Wochen mehrfach 40–75 Minuten auf unsere Bestellung gewartet. Das wirkt weniger wie Personalmangel, sondern eher wie schlechte Organisation. Schade, hier steckt viel Potenzial, das einfach nur nicht effizient genutzt wird.

Der beste Kaffee (zum Mitnehmen) weit und breit, besonders am Wochenende oder abends, wenn alle anderen Läden geschlossen haben. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und schnell.

Ich war ehrlich bisschen zu ungeduldig 😅 Das Dessert sah einfach viel zu gut aus – hab direkt angefangen zu essen und das Foto erst später gemacht. Aber ganz ehrlich: Das Eis war richtig stark. Super cremig, geschmacklich voll on point und nicht zu süß – einfach perfekt getroffen. Man merkt, dass da Qualität dahintersteckt. Service auch entspannt und freundlich. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder – nächstes Mal mache ich das Foto vorher 😄

Waren heute zum Frühstücken dort. Service war mit Abstand das schlechteste was ich je erlebt habe! Bestellung aufgenommen Getränke gebracht und dann kam eine Stunde nichts mehr, kein Nachfragen ob man noch etwas trinken möchte oder der gleichen. Eines der drei bestellten Frühstücks kam nach 1Stunde und 30 Minuten, dort war das Spiegelei auch noch kalt. Brotkorb haben wir uns dann selber geholt weil dieser auch nicht kam. Die anderen beiden Frühstücke haben wir dann storniert und nicht bezahlt. Somit ist sogar der eine Stern einer zuviel hier. Einfach unterirdisch dieser Service. So wird sich der neue Besitzer nicht lange halten können. Und wir waren kein Einzelfall da wir am Nachbartisch genau das selbe verfolgen konnten.

Ich wünschte, ich könnte null Sterne vergeben. Das war mit Abstand der schlechteste Service, den ich je erlebt habe. Es waren nur zehn Gäste im Restaurant, und wir bekamen unsere Getränke (Hauslimonade) erst eine Stunde nach unserer Ankunft. Das Personal war völlig unorganisiert, und unsere Bedienung schien mit der geringen Gästezahl völlig überfordert. Es gab ein Kuchen- und Kaffeeangebot, aber als wir endlich bestellen konnten, war der Kuchen ausverkauft. Ehrlich gesagt, sind der Koch und die Lage das einzig Positive an diesem Restaurant. Spart euch die Zeit oder geht lieber woanders hin, denn ihr werdet dort eine Weile nichts zu essen bekommen.

Nicht zu empfehlen, Service ist unterirdisch. Wir haben 1,5 Stunden auf das Frühstück gewartet. Getränke waren längst leer, kein Nachfragen ob noch etwas gewünscht ist. Bis der Kaffee kam vergingen auch 45 Minuten. Früher war das Café Ludwig super, der Service perfekt, ich bin nicht sicher ob der Besitzer gewechselt hat, aber ich werde nun nicht mehr hingehen.

Nach dem neuerlichen Betreiberwechsel ist es schön zu sehen, wie ein frischer Wind dem Restaurant gut tun kann. Das Essen war lecker, das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen wieder :)

Café in München, gut gelegen. Wir besuchen das Café seit einigen Jahren, leider muss man sagen, dass sowohl Service als auch Essen qualitativ sehr nachgelassen hat. Teils sehr lange Wartezeiten, auch wenn relativ wenig los ist. Die Einrichtung hat auch schon bessere Tage gesehen, Instandhaltung ist jedoch schon notwendig, an sich ist es ja schön. Insgesamt ist es okay, wir werden uns nach einem neuen Stamm-Café umsehen.

Wechselt hat ist Café Ludwig wieder sehr gut geworden. Das Personal ist sehr entgegenkommend hilfsbereit das Essen ist sehr gut ich finde, man kann wieder hingehen.

Fast eine Stunde Wartezeit für zwei Burger – obwohl kaum etwas los war. Nur wenige Tische waren besetzt und die meisten Gäste haben lediglich etwas getrunken. So eine lange Wartezeit ist wirklich unverständlich. Leider gab es auch keine Entschuldigung von der Kellnerin. Sehr enttäuschender Service.

Wir waren heute zu sechst und bei wenigen Betrieb haben wir 45 min geartet das jemand kommt ! Trotz Nachfrage und der Aussage " es kommt gleich jemand zu ihnen ", ist keine Bedienung gekommen. Leider den den Umsatz habt ihr verloren ,so wie Gäste. Wohlgemerkt wir waren nicht die einzigen die Gegenden sind ,weitere 3 Tische hatten auch das gleiche Problem. NIE WIEDER !!

Hervorragender Kaffee mit köstlicher Schokolade, netter Service, angenehme Atmosphäre, Vogelgezwitscher in den Bäumen, Parklandschaft.

Nachdem der Besitzer gewechselt hat, ist Café Ludwig wieder viel besser. Das Personal ist entspannt und freundlich, die neue Chefin interessiert sich sehr viel was die Leute wünschen. Passt die Karte wieder an nach den Wünschen und Bedürfnissen der Kunden. Nun kann man endlich wieder hingehen. Preise wurden etwas angepasst.

Ruhiges Café, kann ich empfehlen!

Das Café Ludwig im Petuelpark ist ein echtes Highlight. Die Architektur im Glaskubus bietet einen tollen Blick ins Grüne. Ich bin öfter hier, denn die Auswahl ist klasse: Wer einen richtig guten Kuchen in entspannter Atmosphäre sucht, wird hier definitiv fündig – die Qualität ist hausgemacht und lecker. Auch die herzhafte Küche überzeugt: Der Schweinebraten ist zart und genau so, wie man ihn sich in einer bayerischen Brasserie wünscht. Ob für das späte Frühstück, den schnellen Lunch oder eben auf einen Kaffee – der Service ist herzlich und das Ambiente top. Ein wunderbarer Rückzugsort im Park! ☕🍰🥩

Tolle Location, von außen sah es aus, als wäre es was. Wurden nicht begrüßt und erstmal am Tisch ignoriert. Wir hatten Kuchen bestellt, der schon etwas älter war. Außerdem haben die Pommes unseres Kindes sehr nach altem Fett geschmeckt. Service ging geschlossen zum rauchen, so dass es unmöglich war Wasser zu bestellen. Dafür ist es einfach zu teuer, für die schlechte Qualität und unaufmerksamen Service.

In allen Bereichen unprofessionell Zusätzlich hatte ich den Eindruck, dass dort überwiegend nicht frisch gekocht wird und ein Großteil der Speisen aus Fertigprodukten besteht.

Trotz Reservierung keinen Platz im Erdgeschoss bekommen. Personal etwas überfordert. Ist wohl auch einem Pächterwechsel geschuldet gewesen.

Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig, aber die Bedienung war - wie schon beim letzten Besuch - total überfordert. Bei der Bestellung musste sie ständig nachfragen, der Kaffee war lauwarm bis kalt, als er endlich am Tisch stand. Das bezahlen dauerte ewig, weil sie mit ihrem Gerät nicht zurecht kam. Zum Schluss blieb ein Posten offen und wir, 8 Personen, mussten ihr nochmals die ganzen Bestellungen und was wir bezahlt hatten, diktieren. Trotzdem kam sie nicht damit klar. Nach langem rechnen und hin und her meinte sie, das offene Getränk gehe aufs Haus. Als wir weg waren, beschwerte sie sich bei der Chefin, wir hätten nicht alles bezahlt. Das konnte zum Glück mit der Chefin richtig gestellt werden. Fazit: 8 Stammgäste verloren.

Update 26.12.25 Offensichtlich hat der Inhaber meine Rezension nicht verstanden, sie bezieht sich ganz klar auf den März 2025, also VOR dem erneuten Pächterwechsel im Dezember2025. Die Preise entsprachen den damaligen Tatsachen. Ich habe deutlich geschrieben, dass ich den "Neuen" gerne eine Chance gebe und noch nicht dort war. Die heutige Reaktion auf die Bewertung ist jedoch verwunderlich. Update 17.12.25 Es gab einen erneuten Pächterwechsel zum 1.12.25 - dort war ich noch nicht zu Besuch, aber da meine bisherige Rezension seitens Google nach Beschwerde gelöscht wurde, obwohl sie den damaligen (!) Tatsachen entsprach, möchte ich diese Ergänzung posten, ohne die alten Informationen zu löschen. Geben wir den neuen Betreibern eine Chance, es würde mich freuen. 3/25: Neuer Pächter - neue Preise! Als wir vor eine Woche dort waren, sind wir rückwärts wieder rausgefallen... 7,50€ für ein Stück Kuchen und 8,50€ für ein Stück Torte geht einfach gar nicht! Nach vielen Jahren und regelmäßigen Besuchen dort, wars das für uns. Ab jetzt lieber ins Café Scheidplatz.

Update: Die neue Karte ist eine riesige Enttäuschung. Überwiegend nur Fleisch (Salat mit Ziegenkäse kann doch kein Vegetarier mehr sehen) und sehr viel „schnelles“ (z.B. Würste mit Kraut und Ähnliches, das auch noch zu Münchner Preisen. Sehr schade, wie so oft: früher sind wir gern hingegangen. Jetzt leider nicht mehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren zum Frühstück dort und haben es sehr genossen. Schönes Ambiente und nettes Personal.

We waited an extremely long time for our food. The gap between our table and the time it arrived was huge. The first person got their food an hour and a half before the last. The roast pork had a rubbery crust, the dumpling was cold inside, the sauce was bad, the schnitzel was frozen, and the fries were cold. I've never eaten worse in my life. At least I didn't have to pay for it. The staff was completely overwhelmed.

The food was unfortunately inedible (cheap frozen schnitzel, cold fries), the service was overwhelmed and unfriendly. Very long waiting times.

We had a reservation for a Christmas party for six people. At the same time, there was a Christmas party for a large corporation with an extremely large number of guests. Our reservation was forgotten. When we arrived, they rearranged things so we could sit together at a table that was far too small. It would have been much too cramped for eating, but we didn't even get to that point...because we waited for two hours before being told they were canceling the food because the kitchen couldn't keep up. No one came to offer us bread, for example. During the entire time, we received only one drink. The service was completely overwhelmed by the number of orders. At least the drinks were on the house. We drove home hungry at 9 p.m. This could definitely be handled better...

The staff seemed overwhelmed. The place wasn't very busy, but we still waited forever. That's no fun at all!

Café Ludwig im Petuelpark ist für uns inzwischen so etwas wie unser Stammcafé – wir waren schon öfter hier und kommen immer wieder gern, vor allem zum Frühstück am Wochenende. Das Team ist jedes Mal herzlich, aufmerksam und gleichzeitig angenehm entspannt. Man merkt, dass hier mit Freude gearbeitet wird. Das Essen hat durchweg eine sehr hohe Qualität: leckere Frühstücksvarianten, gute Kaffeegetränke, frische Kuchen und eine vielfältige Auswahl bis hin zu warmen Gerichten, auch mit vegetarischen Optionen. Das Ambiente ist modern-gemütlich, ein bisschen loungeartig mit entspannter Musik – genau der richtige Ort, um in Ruhe in den Tag zu starten oder noch etwas sitzen zu bleiben. Auch mit Kindern fühlen wir uns hier sehr wohl: Es gibt genug Platz, sogar für den Kinderwagen im Innenbereich, und niemand schaut genervt, wenn die Kleinen mal etwas lebhafter sind. Besonders lieben wir die Lage direkt im Petuelpark. Draußen sitzt man im Grünen, ohne Straßenverkehr – nur ein Radweg führt vorbei. Perfekt für einen Zwischenstopp einer Tour vom Olympiapark zum Englischen Garten. Im Petuelpark selbst gibt einige kleine und einen großen (Wasser-)Spielplatz, kombinieren wir auch gern öfter mal 😊 Die Öffnungszeiten sind etwas ungewöhnlich, weil unter der Woche erst nachmittags geöffnet ist und am Wochenende ab 10 Uhr – für uns passt das aber ideal zu einem entspannten, „ausschlafenden“ Frühstück oder einem gemütlichen Ausklang des Tages. Insgesamt: Ein Ort, an den wir immer wieder gern zurückkehren!

For the past 10 years, we've always enjoyed going to Café Ludwig. Today was our first visit since the change of ownership in 2025. Unfortunately, the service was disastrous. Several guests complained, having to go to the bar both to order and to pay. The server was overwhelmed, didn't know her own menu, didn't say "please" or "thank you," and didn't say goodbye. The food is also worse than it used to be. The fries were cold. The food is simply being reheated in the kitchen. The owner sits outside smoking and seems oblivious to the chaos. It's a real shame. This place has so much potential. While we waited, several guests asked in vain for cake, which is apparently no longer offered.

When I saw the kitchen, I decided to leave.

I've always enjoyed going here, but the quality has been declining for some time now. For weeks, there have been issues with card payments that no one seems to be taking care of. They're out of cakes, and you almost have to be lucky to avoid being ignored by the service. The food is good, but unfortunately, it's significantly overpriced, especially for the quantity. A real shame!

Das Schnitzel mit Pommes war total versalzen. Kaum essbar. Es gab keine Kuchen und es war nur Barzahlung möglich. Früher war die Qualität der Speisen sehr gut. Jetzt nur noch Fertigessen, welches aufgewärmt wird. Trinkglas war nicht richtig gespült. Spezi schmeckte komisch. Sehr Schade. Wahrscheinlich hat der Pächter und oder Koch gewechselt.

The food was okay, although the coleslaw with the roast pork was quite overpriced at €4.50. Since it was very quiet for a Saturday evening, the place felt a bit lifeless. What was completely unacceptable was the behavior of the male server. The entire wait staff was sitting outside. When I pointed out that a customer was standing at the counter and wanted something, the female server immediately headed inside, who, incidentally, was also very friendly and helpful. However, the male server's response to me was, "Then you'll just have to wait five minutes. We need a break too!" And then they continued talking loudly on their phones. Sorry, but that's not how you treat guests, and someone hasn't yet learned who actually pays their wages. For me, it was an unpleasant situation and a "I'm not coming here anymore" experience.

This café is a total failure for me. At first, they said we could only pay in cash. And despite having a reservation, nothing was prepared. The tables were only put together after we arrived and it was clear we were staying. Not all of us had enough cash, or any cash at all. The food is far too expensive and unsavory. One of us had a schnitzel and fries that was way too salty. And the floor was absolutely filthy, even on the way to the restrooms. It was the worst café I've ever been to. If nothing changes at this place, it will definitely be closing time soon. Tip: Get Frank Rosin to come over.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. We were skillfully ignored, and when we asked about it, we received a rude response. You'd expect some effort from the service in Munich's Schwabing district.

I've been here several times this summer, either alone or with family, and we were always extremely satisfied. It's a wonderful place in general. The restaurant itself is special, and the highlight is, of course, sitting outside on the wonderful terrace. The owner and his team are all very friendly and attentive. The menu is manageable, but there's really something for everyone. Everything is very, very tasty. The sauce for the roast pork is perhaps the best in Munich. But they also have three excellent pinsa variations. So, all in all, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I used to enjoy this beautifully located and decorated café. Now I can only warn against this place. A few months ago, I tried to make a reservation by email: no response. Now I tried to reserve a table through Open Table: I initially received a confirmation, then a cancellation shortly afterward without explanation. No one was available by phone. The service is better.

Nice place in-between a small park. relaxed atmosphere

New tenant 2025 For us, Ludwig was primarily a café for cake on a sunny afternoon. With prices around €8 per slice, that's definitely over. I find that completely disproportionate. Which is a real shame, because the food is still good and I found the new service staff a bit friendlier, even if they still need some time to get used to it.

It has a very spacious atmosphere. The apple dessert was delicious and I highly recommend it.

I've been to Ludwig many times and have always been satisfied, but this time I was truly disappointed with breakfast. The bread basket for one person consisted of just a slice of bread and a small roll. Both scrambled and fried eggs were also served separately. No compensation was offered, nor was there even an extra drink...a real shame. We won't be having breakfast there again.

A great location that we visit regularly and have always been satisfied. Friendly service, a pleasant atmosphere, and delicious food are what set Café Ludwig apart. When the weather's nice, you can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy life.

Unfortunately, I had to visit this café twice (at the invitation of friends). Not only are the waitresses impatient, but even the owner is a disgrace (a woman excluded). You feel unwelcome and "shown off." And you shouldn't leave the house with a 2-year-old toddler anyway.

The ambiance was nice. The service was friendly. But since I was expecting and looking forward to iced coffee at 25 degrees Celsius, and that wasn't offered, I'm naturally disappointed!!! Well, maybe next time...

We used to love coming here on weekends to get a cake or something to eat. Like many other people in the neighborhood, that's unfortunately no longer possible, with prices now at €8.50 for a slice of cake (the same one that cost €4.80 before the change of operator). It's a real shame, and quite outrageous, to be honest.

I've been a regular at Café Ludwig for over 10 years, either for coffee and cake to eat or take away, occasionally for lunch when the weather's nice, or just a cold drink. The cake selection hasn't changed since the change of ownership; in my opinion, they're the same cakes, still incredibly delicious. What has changed, however, are the prices: a slice that previously cost between €4 and €4.50 now costs between €7.50 and €8. It's absolutely incomprehensible how they've practically doubled the prices for the same product. I hope the owner comes to his senses and changes his pricing policy!

Good restaurant, where a four-lane road used to be. I didn't eat anything, but it looked delicious. The service was really excellent, depending on the waiter 👍🏻 and the waitress less so 😩 But it was really good!

I've been there a few times, for breakfast and lunch as well as to eat cake and drink coffee. The food and drinks are always of good quality and you are always served competently. The waitresses are always very friendly. The cakes are of good quality and taste of course depending on what flavor you want. Coffee and breakfast are. In good quality I can definitely recommend it. Unfortunately I haven't been there for a while but I will definitely go there again for breakfast

We've been coming here regularly for over 5 years since we moved to Munich. But with the new owner it just got ridiculous. 7.50€ to 8.50€ for a piece of cake, eight fifty. I don't know what they've been smoking but that's borderline insane. The menu got smaller and pricier as well. I can't in good conscience recommend this anymore, pity.

I was a regular at Cafe Ludwig for many years and I like the ambience, the parking space and the numerous seats. ONLY: With the new tenant, the prices for the cake have also risen dramatically. The selection is clear (seven varieties when I visited) and the prices for a normal-sized piece are now 7.50 to 8.50 I've never seen cakes that expensive anywhere else, and I can't understand the argument that it wouldn't be profitable otherwise, because it's estimated that hundreds of other cafes can do it too. It's a shame, I really enjoyed going there and always ordered diligently. I wish the new tenant, generally as an entrepreneur, much success, and the understanding that we should also be there for normal earners. Club prices are sure to deter families and senior citizens and ordinary salary earners. If a visit to the cafe costs over 50 for a man/woman/two children for a drink and a piece of cake, that's "shift in the shaft" for me. But perhaps a different target group is being targeted. I can't say much about the service. Fits. Friendly, but that doesn't give me full marks because friendly employees are normal behavior for me. I only got an A or B at school for doing more than normal ;-) I hope that I can visit Cafe Ludwig regularly again soon!

Today, after an Easter walk, we wanted to have a nice coffee and treat ourselves to a nice piece of cake. With prices of €7.50 for cake and €8.50 for tart, all I can say is that I felt ripped off. So we stayed with coffee. We definitely won't be coming back.

Spontaneous visit to Cafe Ludwig – very positive! After a walk, I spontaneously stopped by Cafe Ludwig and was very pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a short break. I enjoyed an Aperol Spritz that was mixed just right - refreshing and well balanced. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. A great place to relax after a walk. I'll definitely be back!

Good place in the "green" for a delicious breakfast in the park. Very friendly service that was really committed despite the large crowds! - Great The breakfast offering is classic. Freshly squeezed orange juice is pleasantly cool and the coffee is also delicious. I also really enjoyed the malt bread with fried egg, bacon and cream cheese. But I only felt full after eating a manageable bowl of cereal. Overall, a good place for breakfast on the weekend. - Unfortunately, the local stream currently stinks quite a bit, which is a bit annoying when sitting outside. But the restaurant can't do anything about it :)

Prices without words. After a walk today we wanted to treat ourselves to a piece of cake, but when we saw the prices we were honestly surprised and speechless €7.50 to €8.50 for a single piece? This is definitely at the upper limit and in our opinion simply too expensive, more of a rip-off. Of course there are always differences depending on the location and concept, but here you get the feeling that the prices are no longer in proportion. Ultimately we decided not to order anything and move on. The restaurant itself is really nice, and the staff can't do anything about the pricing, so fair points. But for us it remains just this one visit. We won't come to you anymore. Peter

We've been coming to Café Ludwig for many years... But after the change of tenant we got a shock today: a piece of cake for 7.50/8.50! That's not possible... We're not here in Venice at Piazza San Marco. It's a shame... We really liked the café, but that was definitely the last time for us. We hope that common sense will come back the next time the tenant changes... It probably won't be long until then!

We have been going to Café Ludwig for years. However, we were shocked by the prices today. Since the change of tenant a few weeks ago, the cake price has increased from 4.50 euros to 7.50 euros. The cake is neither gilded nor bigger than before. At this price it was the last visit for us. Very unfortunate.

I almost never write reviews and when I do, they are always positive, but here I unfortunately have to make an exception: yesterday (it was already quite late, around 6 p.m.) we wanted to take two pieces of cake to go and paid €16 for them. We were really shocked at the prices and I have never seen anything like that anywhere else. If it hadn't been so late and there had been other cafés nearby, I would have left straight away. They were two small pieces and they didn't even taste particularly good. I am happy to spend a lot of money on good food, but this is a complete rip-off and the value for money is absolutely outrageous. That was the last time I visit this café.

Very rude manager, cold coffee and didn’t even bother to reheat it when asked

Honestly, this place was a disappointment. The place is beautiful but the menu was underwhelming, very overpriced, and the service personel were stretched and totally overwhelmed… not their fault at all, they were clearly understaffed and you could see the manager inside not really supporting their team. 18€ for a vegan curry without rice, is completely insane, and the taste was so so. Coffee would be around 5-6€, wienerschnitzel was nearly 30€. Overall a sub par experience

Dialogue with the waitress: Wednesday afternoon around 2:30/3:00 p.m., bright sunshine. I: Can I sit on the terrace? Waitress: We don't serve outside. I: Look at guests sitting outside (two occupied tables and two tables not yet cleared, maybe there was one that I didn't see) Waitress: You have to order and get the drinks yourself inside I: Okay, can I also order the food inside and pick it up? Waitress: I should ask the colleague inside. We don't know what's going on now. Colleague didn't even look up, was engrossed in his laptop or tablet or something. I then left because I didn't want to beg to get rid of my money and didn't want to chase after basic service skills. Please don't get me wrong, I feel sorry for the waitress in this case because she didn't receive any instructions from the supervisor. Also, no board was put up stating that there are only self-service drinks or food. For me it's not a bad thing to get my own drinks and food, but it's strange when there are two occupied tables. Also that the same prices are charged. Please communicate with your employees and guests to avoid many misunderstandings. All the best

Good, relaxed place in a perfect location to rest after going around with the kids. They usually have good cakes. Food is light and good for a light lunch. One downside is that their doors are ridiculously difficult to use, very heavy and they close immediately. Automatic doors would make sense, a lot of the visitors have strollers with them (kids park right in front of them)

We celebrated our wedding in the summer of 2024 at Café Ludwig and it was simply perfect! The free wedding ceremony, the meal and the party in the evening were designed exactly according to our wishes. The flying buffet was excellent and was individually tailored to us. We were particularly impressed by the beautiful floral decorations and the fantastic wedding cake that were organized by the house. A big plus point: no room rental! Leon's entire team was extremely courteous and took care of everything. It was the perfect location for us and we would celebrate here again at any time!

The atmosphere is great! Big open space and many tables outside for a lovely sunny day. The staff is attentive, everything is clean and I can see that locals return regurarly. We only drank coffee and I ordered a soup, but it seems to me the prices are a little but too high. I can’t say anything regarding the food quality, except that my soup was delicious! There seems to be a breakfast/lunch menu if you go in the earlier hours. The place is suitable for events.

You absolutely can't complain about the service and the ambience. That was totally right. The food is ok but nothing special. We had soup in a glass as a starter, but it was poured into the glass in a completely careless manner and served without a saucer. A few herbs or a little icing on the cake would have contributed a lot to the visual appearance. The pasta was very bland in taste, there was a lot of salt missing and you didn't notice much of the sage in the sage butter. The mousse au chocolate was served in a glass like the soup and visually very bland. Nevertheless, we had a nice evening.

We had a wonderful Christmas party here. The service was excellent.

it was quiet after lunch, I had ordered a lot of food and drinks and was working on my laptop not disturbing anyone, and the service staff was very rude to me in telling me to leave with a snarky joke.

Thank you!!! We celebrated our daughter's confirmation at Café Ludwig and eat here every now and then. I would give at least 10 stars especially for the service. We felt completely looked after. Ms. A. helped us a lot and made the festival a special experience for all of us. The food was fantastic and very tasty. The upper area is well separated from the restaurant, so we were able to celebrate undisturbed. I can recommend this location without exception!
