An An Vietnamese Fine Cuisine in München

The food is quite nice and I used to come here a lot. Unfortunately when I went there recently to get takeout I had ordered by phone after checking the website I was informed that instead of the online prices (9,90) the bowl now costs 12,90. When I mentioned the online prices I was told that these are old prices and that they cannot access their website to update them and that it would be my responsibility to check if the price is correct. It’s ok to increase prices at times but please update your website! The food is still good but expect to pay almost 30% more than the price they have online.

We've been coming to AnAn on Elvirastrasse for years, even though it's quite a drive for us. It's a very cozy Vietnamese restaurant, which we really enjoy. The tables are set with white tablecloths and proper cloth napkins, which we find lovely. The ambiance is calming, and there's none of the usual noise, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The food is delicious, and the service is friendly. We were there on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, for my mother's 88th birthday dinner. As a surprise, there was a small table firework display and a complimentary fruit platter, accompanied by "Happy Birthday." My mother was very touched by this kindness and attention. We were also very pleased, as it's not something you can take for granted these days. We would like to thank them again. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return again and again.

You need a lot of patience: the drink arrived after 45 minutes. But the food is good!

The bánh xeo, a crispy Vietnamese savory pancake, is especially recommended! They also come with plenty of herbs. All dishes are lovingly prepared with attention to detail. An An has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed it and would definitely come back!

I won't buy anything from you anymore. I recently got takeout. The portion was €2 more expensive without warning, and they hid pre-made chili sauce under the spring roll. It was disgusting. Kudos to the "chef."

Good food, no question...usually friendly service too...except today. Table in the far corner, even though the entire restaurant was empty, no service...unfortunately, when the manager isn't there, not much happens. One can only hope this remains an isolated incident...it's certainly an incentive for improvement. Addition: after 15 minutes without service, we left.

Very tasty and great staff!! Also take card. However, it is becoming more and more expensive, so quickly that the prices on the internet and in the menu are often no longer correct. Also more expensive on weekends than during the week. However, the quality has remained the same in recent years (good).

Unfortunately she didn't like the starter soup at lunch at all. The salmon with vegetables was also very bland, as was the bowl with herbs, salad, rice noodles and tofu. Drinks were good though. Everything was a bit carelessly prepared and the taste was very “German”. Unfortunately the price was too high, even though it was a lunch dish. I hope they try harder in the evening. It's a shame, I was actually expecting authentic, "fine cuisine" here... But it's nice outside with the Scharnigarten in the sun.

Dinner was organized by my son. I didn’t want to go, I don’t like exotic things, but my son insisted. It turned out that they cook really deliciously and decorate the dishes interestingly with herbs and vegetables. There were three of us, my son and girlfriend and me. Everyone was satisfied. I conservatively ordered a steak, my son and girlfriend chose something from Vietnamese cuisine. Everyone was satisfied.

Super tasty, extra requests (e.g. egg in summer roll instead of tofu) and pretty decoration + large portion, the smoothie with mango (soy & coconut -> instead of cream) was also really good

Overall, eating at An An was an interesting experience. The steamed dim sums we ordered as a starter were tasty but surprisingly spicy - unfortunately this wasn't mentioned in the menu. The main course was a real highlight: not only was it very tasty, but it was also kept warm by a small candle underneath - a really cool idea! The cocktails were also good, but the service left a lot to be desired. There were clearly not enough staff for the number of guests. Our aperitifs were only served after the starter - and only because we reminded them again. Despite these small flaws, we will definitely give the restaurant a second chance!

They take orders that they knowingly can no longer deliver, they say on the phone that they will definitely come and 2.5 hours after ordering they don't even respond to calls

A Vietnamese restaurant that has a rich menu. The food is OK. The Ga Sa Té meat was quite dry, despite the sauce. It doesn't last long, it moves forward quickly. The service was super nice, quick and courteous. It's a rather dark ambience, that's purely a matter of taste.

Completely incorrect pricing, misleading marketing. The menu stored in Google lists a standard dish for €12.90. The same dish is in the display case in front of the restaurant for €13.90. In the restaurant on the menu the dish costs €17.90!! When asked about this, the waitress just shrugged: "Yes, online is outdated." Great, thank you very much, to attract people to the restaurant with significantly lower prices. No idea what it tastes like, we left again.

Today I ordered a double pack of pho soup from Lieferando to pick up because I have a very cold. When I arrived at 8:55 p.m., I was greeted warmly and the soup was already ready. I live 5km away and the soup was perfect at the temperature when I got home. The soup tasted excellent and I can already feel in my body how good it is for me! Just what I needed today! Thank you very much!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The food came quickly and was super tasty

We ordered on Lieferando and it took almost 2 hours to come because the delivery person was apparently alone or something. Then you shouldn't have accepted ordered on Lieferando. This is not okay.

We were a bit worried before joining this place, because of some reviews. The place is actually really nice, nice vibes and elegant tables. Service extremely attentive. We had chicken fried with mango sauce and grilled chicken with red curry. Both dishes came with lot of veggies. I tasted the fried chicken, impressive, no jokes, one of the best ever tasted, maybe the mango sauce a bit anonymous. My red curry super delicious. Portions are generous in this place. Don’t spend too much time reading reviews and just go there; excellent dinner. Will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, after 1.5 hours of waiting, the food still didn't arrive.

Delivery took almost 1h45min even though 1h was stated. Food was lukewarm and not particularly good. "Caramelized Ribs with Pak Choy" was simply rice with vegetables (without pak choy) and ribs soaked in the sauce.

Come if you’re ready to be lied to and lose money :) When I ordered, I confirmed with waitress that I want free water (tap water), waitress responded “yeh it’s free”. Ended up getting those fancy glasses bottled water, and it’s tiny! Was shocked when I saw the 5 euro water on the bill. When I asked the waitress “earlier didn’t you say water is free?”, she smirked and said “oh NO NO it’s not.” Feels scammed!!

The two of us were there for lunch (August 2024). At first glance, the lunch specials on the menu are good. Unfortunately, my food didn't taste good (chicken was overcooked). We waited a very long time for menus, and in some cases the wrong drinks were brought (which can happen to an employee in the heat). My glass when serving was not clean. The food for me and the food for my counterpart were brought with a long time interval between them (and not at the same time), even though there were only two of us (and not in a large group). In total we spent 1.5 hours in the restaurant, even though everyone only ordered 1 dish. It's long for a lunch break. I will not go to the restaurant again.

The noon menu was tasty. We ordered coke as drink and it was draught but without any gas and at room temperature which is not nice in general but we didn’t enjoy the drinks at all that day specially since it was August and the temperature was 28 Celsius degrees!

So many food choices you can have. And they are all well of tasty. This is a good restaurant you must try!!

Visited in July 2024. This was one of the best restaurants we visited on our 5day trip to Munich. Sat outside, a lot of space and a good breeze. Amazingly fresh and flavourful delicious food. Will definitely be back on the next visit. The monk fish was incredible. Spring rolled looked handmade and were delicious. Summer rolls super fresh and tasteful (could be a tiny bit smaller). And the chicken, noodle dish also nothing to complain about 5/5

Das Essen ist wirklich immer hervorragend. Wir waren zu elft dort und alles kam gleichzeitig. Einziges Manko war, dass ,trotz, sehr bemühter Chefin, wir sehr lange auf die Getränke warten mussten. Vermutlich lag es daran, dass die Servicekapazität durch den Schannigarten einfach nicht ausgereicht hat. Über eine halbe Stunde für ein Bier ist zu lange, der Caipi kam neben noch längerer Wartezeit in einem Miniglas. Für den Preis dann schon gewagt. Personal in der Gastro, ein schwieriges Thema. Dennoch hätten wir mir sicher noch mehr Getränke konsumiert, wenn öfters jemand am Tisch vorbeigekommen wäre.

Excellent food - fresh and attractively prepared. Rarely have I had such a tasty mango sauce! Our mood was really dampened by the really bad service. In Munich you are used to a lot of things, but we have rarely felt so unwelcome. I asked several times to place another order and were always put off. After an hour we gave up. We won't be coming back.

Köstliches Essen, guter Service, angenehme Ambiente.

Simply recommended!!! Photos will follow. We often come for dinner with the whole family. Nice service, good selection and the plate decoration blows me away every time. No long waiting times. Everything is going quickly. Everything is super fresh. You won't regret it, enjoy it!

Very rich and varied food. When serving, I think the cook should cut the salad that goes on the plate a little, it becomes very difficult and uncomfortable to eat, although the presentation is beautiful and very careful.

Dim sum 14.90 starter for 2. Very little. Still tasty

Nice place on the small Elvirastraße. The food is fresh and good, the service is friendly, you can sit outside in the Scharnigarten if you can find a free table. Unfortunately, not all dishes were available during our visit and even though there wasn't much going on, it always took a relatively long time to be able to contact the service for (re-)orders or the bill. Tip: If it is available again, be sure to try the banana blossom salad; You won't find this dish on the menu everywhere!

Delicious Asian restaurant, the summer rolls unfortunately taste a bit bland but the sauce is very tasty. Unfortunately, the service was a bit chaotic, we constantly got the wrong dishes or drinks. That was a bit annoying but also funny.

I ordered today and unfortunately I wasn't satisfied.

We were regular customers. But now the food is inedible. Had to pay for a simple soup for lunch that was very spicy. Afterwards duck there was just fat that tasted old. Guests are seated closely next to each other at tables that are far too small and don't have enough room for the food and you are then allowed to listen to the neighbors' conversations. Never again.

delicious food stop. was looking for some non german / bavarian option and found this online. Made a reservation for the same night after seeing pho on the menu. Cute spot with great service and delicious food. Started with the mango duck salad (10/10, ten times over, possibly the best thing I had in Munich), then got the fried rolls (not oily and delicious flavor), and got the beef pho. Satisfied my vietnamese craving!! Would highly recommend for a date night

Found this little gem on a recent visit to Hamburg, very authentic dishes and super friendly staff. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommend for a great lunch/dinner. The surrounding area looks a little dodgy but this is tucked away in the corner and is much more inviting inside than out. It’s not super big though.

Not suitable for people with celiac disease. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't know what gluten was and even after consulting with the boss, she couldn't tell me exactly what was in the food. When I chose a curry from the vegetarian dishes, she said it also had fish sauce in it - which is not vegetarian at all! It's a shame that the service is very non-transparent when it comes to the ingredients and doesn't know exactly what they're talking about.

A few days ago we had a great evening with friends at AnAn, service was great, food was excellent. We'd love to come back.

I've been here often, the food tastes very good and the price-performance ratio is okay for Munich. However, the tables are placed so close to each other that it is difficult to have a private conversation.
