A slice of the Mediterranean in the heart of Quedlinburg: Here you can enjoy a good espresso and authentic Italian food. The pasta is a dream. Whether it's Arrabbiatta, Gorgonzola, Aligo olio, or Napoli. The gnocchi are also wonderful. I've already tried half the menu within four days. A vegetarian burger would be fantastic.

I rarely have such a good Mediterranean dish.

Rather unassuming from the outside, but very nice inside. Service was excellent, and the advice and recommendations were first-class. The food tasted really good. Definitely recommend it :)

Really delicious food, and a really good atmosphere. My cousin had a birthday when we visited the place. They surprised him with a birthday song and a free cake. The waitress was super sweet (and funny). Their basement (and dining room) was very cozy. Would definitely recommend this place.

We had dinner there. Super good gnocchi and the service is wonderful. The reason for the lack of stars is simply the heat. I know it can be difficult to control, but in the basement we both sat and sweated. Maybe an idea and come up with some air conditioning or something. Otherwise, definitely a recommendation.

The burgers were fine, but nothing special and considering the price (note, fries are extra), it was below par compared to other german restaurants. The atmosphere was getting a notch down when the owner started insulting another customer.

The price/performance ratio is absolutely unjustified. When the owner of the restaurant pointed out the unfresh bread and lukewarm sparkling tap water, which is listed on the menu as €5.90 for mineral water, the owner's inability to accept criticism became immediately visible and audible. My husband was loudly called a liar and accused of having no idea (he's a baker). The loud argument was blamed on the customer. A real shame. This way, customers won't return.

Unexpected, but absolutely delicious food! The tagliatelle with Mediterranean vegetables is a dream. The bruschetta is also highly recommended, and the house olive oil is absolutely fantastic. You should definitely try it while you're there.

We started with mixed antipasti, followed by pasta. The dishes were enhanced with the delicious homemade herb oil. All the dishes were of exceptional quality. We finished off with a perfect espresso. We were completely satisfied.

Solid cuisine with surprising pricing We visited this restaurant on the market square today for lunch and enjoyed the picturesque location, even though the rainy weather spoiled the view. We were particularly impressed by the atmosphere in the vaulted cellar, which we were assigned after a friendly welcome from the staff – a real plus for the ambiance. The food was homely and met our expectations. My burger and my wife's spaghetti carbonara were solid and flavorful, and the portions were reasonable. It's not Michelin-starred cuisine, but it's definitely a satisfying everyday meal. The only downside was the pricing of the side dishes. For a portion of French fries, which I had to order separately with my burger (€13.90), I was charged a whopping €5.50. Although I was asked when ordering whether I wanted fries, the price was unfortunately not communicated. This significantly dampened the otherwise positive overall impression. All in all, a restaurant with friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere that serves good, down-to-earth food. However, the non-transparent pricing of the side dishes leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

We ordered burgers, one cheeseburger and one blue cheeseburger. The meat was bone dry and flavorless. There was no cheese on either burger, and you couldn't taste it. Very disappointing, considering the prices. The service was very friendly.

We think we've become regulars because we're so satisfied with the food and service. The food, no matter what we've eaten, is always consistently delicious and fresh! The service is very good, friendly, and attentive. We've visited many restaurants, pubs, and cafes, but here at Mercato, everything we expect as guests is just right. We are there on Sunday evening Stopped by Mercato. Had reservations in the afternoon. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Drinks and food were served quickly. The boss occasionally asked if everything was OK. We sat downstairs in the vault, it was a great atmosphere. At the end there was a nightcap on the house. Price/performance ratio was okay. The outdoor dining at the market is also OK.

So the food was okay and normal. No wow effect or taste experience, but solid. My wife didn't want to eat there at first because it looked too easy. This means that the tables and the outdoor advertising seem a little “cheap”. Well, the reviews were good and so we used the Italian restaurant. We ate spaghetti bolognese and carbonara. Bolognese was very tomatoey and carbonara was somehow tasteless. There is beer in Hasseröder. You can't go wrong with this in Quedlinburg. If you pay by credit card, the waitress has to go up one floor with the portable machine. It was just okay. The woman who works there is very nice. The man is rather grumpy.

Yesterday we arrived in QB and ate there twice within yesterday. Once for lunch, once in the evening for a small snack. Both times it was very nice. From the outside it looks inconspicuous, but when you go inside it's a bit like Harry Potter. There is a magic that turns a small tent on the outside into a big one on the inside. A beautiful vault is revealed in the lower part of the restaurant, and in the upper part there is a fine dining room full of cosiness. The food is highly recommended, the hosts are great. We'll definitely go there again.

I haven't eaten at such a great restaurant in a long time. The chef and the waitresses were very accommodating, committed to providing good service, and both were very funny. There were 12 of us in the basement, which had a very nice ambiance. We got our food relatively quickly, and the kids first so they didn't have to wait too long. I wanted to order a vegetarian burger, but it wasn't available, so the chef worked with me to come up with an alternative – AMAZING! So I was able to have a vegetarian burger after all :D. Everyone really enjoyed the food and dessert! Good food, and everything was homemade! All in all, it was a fun evening with great food and great service. Thank you!

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed on Christmas Eve. We had a dinner organized by the Hotel Theophano and had to wait an extremely long time. The two set menus were served at such long intervals that one person would have finished their main course long ago, while the other would still be waiting without food. That's unacceptable, especially not on Christmas Eve. The food was okay, but didn't seem freshly cooked and was only lukewarm. Unfortunately, the price was quite high. The staff seemed disorganized but were very friendly. Despite the high prices, no card payments were accepted. That's part of the service.

We actually just wanted to go to the Christmas market on Saturday and have something to eat there. The many people and long queues at the stands were somehow too much for me. We've wanted to go to the restaurant since it opened, but something always came up. Most of the time, however, we have our dogs with us, and I don't like taking them into a restaurant (no one can resist begging). We went in spontaneously and asked for a table. We were asked if we had a reservation, of course we didn't. The nice lady led us to a table anyway. I was surprised, the kitchen and part of the restaurant are in a beautiful vaulted cellar. Everything radiated such a cozy warmth. The service was really good. We both ordered a citizen and fries. From the first bite you could tell that everything was freshly prepared. The patty was still nice and pink and juicy. I haven't had a burger this good in a long time. The fries were also homemade and extremely tasty. 10 points for service, food and ambience. We were there for dinner with my wife and sat in the basement. The atmosphere is great. I loved their burgers – they make really good burgers. The ambience inside is perfect for drinking wine. The lady who looked after us was very friendly.

Spontaneously reserving a table for the evening at lunchtime is completely hassle-free. The boss and the waitress were very friendly and accommodating. When my friend couldn't decide between two dishes and asked the boss for help with the decision, it happened very quickly and the extra request for schnitzel instead of sliced ​​meat was accepted without hesitation. We were here in the café/restaurant on the market square in Quedlinburg. Unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations. The burgers were way too dry and the fries had to be paid extra for, although that wasn't clear at first. Overall, the food was not recommended. The service, on the other hand, was friendly, but that's a plus point. However, the atmosphere was quite average and didn't really add any value. It's a shame, we would have hoped for more.

The food is very delicious, it really has Italian flavor. The person who attended us was very friendly at all times. I recommend it. The bathrooms are clean and it has a second floor where you can enjoy the restaurant a little more.

We were looking for a restaurant where you could sit outside and have a relaxed lunch and found this very nice restaurant on Google Maps which is very centrally located. The waiter was there very quickly, less than 2 minutes. He was very friendly. The food was excellent and sufficient. Unfortunately there are a lot of pigeons on the square which can be really annoying but that's not a problem for the restaurant. In summary, it is very great and clean and tastes extremely good and the price is okay. One thing is certain: the next time we come to Quedlinburg and are looking for a restaurant, we'll be happy to come back here.

We chose the Mercato for our Quendlunvurg visit, especially because of the good, detailed reviews. From the outside it looks inconspicuous but neat. We arrived at 6:30 p.m. in the week without a reservation. We got a nice table in the dignified tunnel vault at the back of the restaurant. For your first thirst, a nice selection of beers. As a starter, the grilled cilli peppers. Well prepared with onions, tomatoes and cheese, seasoned in a balanced way. For the main course I chose the very good spaghetti Italiano, my wife the fried (sic) gnocchi in gorgonzola sauce. very delicate. The wine we chose was the open Chianti. a simple but well-suited wine to these dishes. Finally, a very good grappa (the more expensive one). Ate and drank very well, served attentively and friendly. As we leave, we have a nice conversation about food and drink with the host couple. thank you for the nice evening. The next lunchtime when we visited the old town we just wanted to eat a little something. With all the coffee and cake on offer there was nothing for us. So we ended up back at Mercato and enjoyed a very good onion soup.

While looking for food for our group of 10, we became aware of the restaurant through reviews. The food tastes great, no ifs or buts, you should budget €15 per person, but it's worth it. Thank you very much, hospitality is very important here.
