The restaurant "Zum Kuckuck" is located at Lindenstraße 7, 06485 Quedlinburg. It's a fantastic Greek restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the ambiance is lovely. I once enjoyed several beers and a tender venison goulash there. Both were delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful, socially competent, and truly excellent. Delicious food at a fair price. My highlight was that the chef came to each table in the evening to chat with the guests and ask if everything was satisfactory.

The Zum Kuckuck restaurant has a lovely, cozy ambiance, and the service was friendly—nothing to complain about there. The food was visually very nicely presented, but unfortunately, the taste wasn't convincing. The fried potatoes and steakhouse fries were undercooked, the gyro was rather bland, and the salad was more reminiscent of hospital food. The chef also seems to be a big fan of olives—they appeared in several dishes, even though it wasn't listed on the menu. Some of the other dishes were "okay," but overall, I didn't think the value for money was justified—the food was simply too mediocre. For the rather high prices, I would have expected significantly higher quality. Addendum to the owner's response: I think it's a shame that my honest review has been met with such an insinuation. Of course, I didn't bring any drinking cups—that would never occur to me. During my visit, I simply pointed out that the fried potatoes were undercooked. Incidentally, another guest behind us also noticed this. I meant my feedback objectively and in no way intended to attack anyone. It's all the more disappointing to be confronted with such an accusation. Unfortunately, it has a very negative connotation.

A very nice, rustic restaurant with some very beautiful cuckoo clocks. The food was excellent. The portions were generous for us. Service was friendly, but we were asked too often if we had anything else, even though our glasses were still full. I can definitely recommend this restaurant. Reservations are recommended. The large cuckoo clock next to the entrance is also worth seeing.

We made a reservation in advance. There were four of us and we were lucky to be able to enjoy the beautiful weather in the beer garden. Great staff and a wide selection of food. It was very pleasant, so we went back to Kuckuck the next evening. We've decided that if we're in the area, this is our place to go.

A great "experience" restaurant, with a lovely outdoor setting for all ages. There are also plenty of cuckoo clocks inside. The food is delicious and sometimes very well seasoned. All in all, a great place to eat.

The restaurant's menu is somewhat indecisive. Lots of Italian starters, then Greek – and in the middle of it all, spicy meat. It seems to be trying to please everyone. We weren't entirely won over. The schnitzel was okay, the pizza was very cheesy and not at all crispy. The outdoor seating is quite pleasant, and the largest cuckoo clock is original.

The prepared plates were an eye-catcher, very lovingly decorated. Every single dish was incredibly delicious. The wine 🍷 was also very tasty. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable time in the restaurant; we were very impressed and felt completely at home. Afterwards, we visited the adjacent cuckoo clock exhibition, which was also very interesting. We would like to thank the entire team at the "Zum Kuckuck" restaurant for this wonderful stay. This was our third time here and we highly recommend it. The menu is extensive and varied; all the dishes we enjoyed were delicious and attractively presented. And the highlight is the large clock with the singing cuckoo. We really enjoyed it and will definitely come back when our hiking passion takes us back to the Harz Mountains.

We arrived late at lunch and were lucky enough to still be able to get food. We received friendly and prompt service. The food is freshly prepared, and we particularly enjoyed the red cabbage. It had a light bite and was incredibly flavorful. Both dishes were presented in an attractive way and tasted delicious. We found the Metaxa sauce very pleasant, as it wasn't as rich as in Greek restaurants.

We ate a strawberry sundae on the terrace for €8.90... which was OK, although it wasn't homemade, but it was appropriate for the location!

A really really nice restaurant. On our hike along the Selketalstieg we made a stop here in Gernrode. The food is really delicious and the service is first class. Definitely worth a visit. We'd love to come back.

This week's culinary journey took us to Gernrode. The day before I had reserved a table by phone. Relatively late, but you can still get something warm to eat here even at 7:30 p.m. The restaurant is located directly next to the Harz watch factory. It's a bit hidden. We've been to countless restaurants in the Harz, but somehow we've never heard of it here. When we arrived we were shown to our table. Studied the menu and of course found something. I chose the cuckoo's nest. Here you can find some pan-fried gyros with red onions, Harz braised pork sausage, a minute steak, and two meatballs. Spanish green peppers and delicious fried potatoes. You also get a side salad. The price is €27.90. The other dishes were the Tuscan meatballs with rice and salad and the mushroom schnitzel. We've eaten in the Harz countless times and now there's a new one in the top 3. The food was really wonderful. The braised sausage especially. Oh, there was also Metaxa sauce. The taste is really great. Of course it's a decent portion. You should be hungry. Since I hadn't eaten anything all day, I managed well. The boss and cook later came to our table and asked if everything was okay. The other dishes were also tasty. Service was friendly. Card payment with a normal EC card is possible from €25. I can only make one recommendation for everyone here! The only thing that could be a little more complicated is parking. There isn't really much space and it's a dead end. Not ideal with a slightly larger car. Restaurant definitely one of the best in the Harz!

A wonderfully atmospheric stop with a cuckoo clock museum, numerous clocks, and a great starting and/or ending point for some fantastic hiking trails! Highly recommended and exactly what you'd want as part of a great hiking tour. Magnificent. Very well-maintained and beautifully located. Simply enjoy the cuckoo clock on the hour!

A fine, remote restaurant that I really liked. The service is very friendly. The food comes very quickly. As a starter we had pepperoni with garlic that came in a hot pan and you could hear it frying. The cuckoo plate is something for when you're really hungry and I liked it, but it was just a little too salty for me. (But that's because I've changed my diet)

Well, in times when hardly anyone offers gastronomy on Sundays, you're almost overwhelmed here. Nice rustic atmosphere, homely embroidered tablecloths, everything was super clean. You can come in and order 35 minutes before the kitchen actually opens and daaaannnnn…. Well prepared plates, without being asked, a plate for each guest for an appetizer that we wanted to share. The main courses are amazing. Very large portions, beautifully arranged plates with edible flowers, great taste and the friendly, serving ladies give you a complete feeling of loved and experienced gastronomy. In times of daily negative news, this was a priceless experience!!! Thank you for that and respect, as well as a huge smack to the team at the stove for all the beautiful food!!! We'll definitely come back and pack up what we won't be able to do again 🤣👍💐💐💐

Great, solid German cuisine. The food tasted home made, and the service was very friendly and welcoming. Our meals were plentiful, and the plates built in a way that showed effort and care.

Please do not think about getting something WARM to eat between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. after a 17 km hike. It's better to order seats days in advance.

Cozy restaurant with friendly service and good food. All wishes were taken into account. Before you enter the restaurant, you can marvel at the almost largest cuckoo clock. In summer there are also outdoor spaces. The clock museum is located in the adjacent building, where various cuckoo clocks can be viewed. A visit is definitely recommended.

It was actually fully booked on their outdoor terrace, but luckily they found room for us on this beautiful summer evening. Despite the busyness, the waiters were smiling, the food came relatively quickly and was delicious, well prepared, and the crowd was on the good side. The place is visited by locals, we could see and hear, so quite a bit of tourists.
