Sehr uriges und nettes Lokal mit sehr freundlichen Personal, das Harzer Schnitzel sehr zu empfehlen und als Durstlöscher ein Eisradler, einfach gut!

Bin nach meiner Ankunft in Quedlinburg zum Abendessen in den Pölkenhof. Der Service war war sehr zuvorkommend, das Essen war als Harzer Spezialität sehr lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ein Besuch im Pölkerhof ist definitiv ein Muss wenn man in Quedlinburg ist. Das Essen ist frisch zubereitet, sehr lecker und mehr als ausreichend. Für einen lustigen Plausch bei urigem Ambiente findet der Wirt - trotz vollem Lokal auch immer Zeit. Wir werden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen.

Auf der Suche nach einem Abendessen betraten wir mit Neugier den Pölkenhof. Die Begrüßung durch die 2 Graupapgeien versetzen uns in Erstaunen. Diese sitzen beim Wirt auf der Schulter und werden auch den Gästen am Tisch vorgestellt. Der Wirt ist ein " Ur-Harzer" und einfach Kult.... Die Location und auch das Speisenangebot versetzten uns auf eine Reise in die DDR-Vergangenheit. Es gäbe noch soviel zu verraten, aber macht euch selbst ein Bild und lasst euch überraschen.

Ich kann diese schlechten Bewertungen garnicht verstehen! Meine Freunde und ich fahren inzwischen jedes Jahr über 400km um hier essen zu gehen. Denn das Essen hier ist einfach ein schönes ERLEBNIS. Es gibt ordentlich Portionen zur guten Deutschen Küche mit sehr guten Preisleistungsverhältnis. Mir persönlich gefällt das Harzer Schnitzel und vorweg das leckere Würzfleisch. Der Wirt ist ein absolut sympathischer Kerl und liefert erstklassigen Service, es werden tolle Empfehlungen in der Region gegeben und sogar manche Geheimtipps preisgeben. Wir überlegen sogar zur Weihnachtszeit die Appartements zu Mieten da es hier einen, wie wir von Gästen des Nachbartisches erfahren haben, einen kleinen und sehr gemütlichen Weihnachtsmarkt mit leckerem Grünkohl gibt. Fazit: Ein Wirt der sich noch für seine Gäste Interessiert und wirklich tolle deutsche Küche zur guten Preisleistung abliefert. Es sind auch viele Stammgäste dort mit denen wir immer gute Gespräche hatten. BIS SPÄTESTENS NÄCHSTES JAHR!

Wir waren heute im Pölkenhof. Uns hat es dort sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen war reichlich und auch sehr lecker. Der Chef hatte immer einen kleinen Spruch parat, war super freundlich und seine 2 Papageien im Eingangsbereich sind was besonderes. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen.

Der Pölkenhof ist beim Besuch von der Stadt Quedlinburg unbedingt zu empfehlen. Sie ist eine urige Kneipe mit regionaler deutscher Küche. Die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet,sind sehr ausreichend und natürlich sehr lecker. Der Wirt, Thomas Hohmann ist sehr zuvorkommend, nett und super gesprächig. Uns wurde das Restaurant empfohlen und wir haben es mit 9 Personen besucht. Das Restaurant ist immer gut besucht und bei so einer größeren Gruppe, kann eine Reservierung ratsam sein. Die beiden Graupapageien im Eingangsbereich sind ein zusätzliches Highlight. Beim nächsten Besuch kommen wir ganz bestimmt wieder. Es ist immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Das Essen war sehr köstlich. Der Gastwirt, sowie seine Angestellten sind sehr freundlich, höflich und aufmerksam. Für Unterhaltung ist auch gesorgt :-)

War heute mit Kolleginnen dort, kleine Feier zur Weihnachtszeit. Muss ehrlich sagen das Ambiente und Service Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber sind einfach nur super. Der Gastwirt war super freundlich und hat uns gute Empfehlungen gemacht. Wir hatten Soljanka als Vorspeise und als Hauptgang jeweils Schnitzel (einmal mit gebratenen Pilzen, einmal überbacken mit Harzer Käse) mit Bratkartoffeln. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und hinterher sehr satt. Die Schnäpse sind auch sehr zu empfehlen. Wenn wir mal in Quedlinburg sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder! 🤩

Wir haben einen sehr gemütlichen, urigen und extrem nahrhaften Abend mit der ganzen Großfamilie hier verbracht. Abgesehen von der wirklich tollen Qualität des Essens, der Größe der Portionen und der unschlagbaren Preise muss der Wirt gesondert erwähnt werden: Toller Gastgeber, wir haben uns absolut willkommen gefühlt.

Die Bauernstube im Pölkenhof ist eine urige Kneipe mit regionaler deutscher Küche. Wir waren zu viert zum Abendessen dort und die Gerichte und Getränke waren alle sehr lecker, frisch und schmackhaft zubereitet. Der Wirt ist sehr zuvorkommend, nett und gesprächig. Es gibt Gesellschaftsspiele um sich mit Kindern die Zeit bis zum Essen zu vertreiben. Wir mussten allerdings nicht lange warten. Das Restaurant ist immer gut besucht und es kann eine Reservierung ratsam sein. Hier geht nur Barzahlung, das sollte man wissen. Wir sind sehr zufrieden nach Hause gegangen. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend, wir wurden von den zwei Aras Uschi und Gustav Adolf herzlichst begrüßt und uns wurde beim Essen durch die Vögel auf jeden Fall nicht langweilig😂 Der Besitzer ist sehr nett, freundlich und aufmerksam was die Verpflegung angeht. Wir waren zum Abendessen im Hof eingekehrt. 2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder und ein Hund. Das Personal super freundlich, das Essen sehr lecker, gute Portionen zum fairen Preis. Alles frisch zubereitet. Unseren Kindern wurden noch kurz die Graupapageien vorgestellt und ein paar Tricks vorgeführt. Eine Spielecke mit Schauekelpferd und Gesellschaftsspielen stehen zur Verfügung. A wonderful evening at the Pölkenhof! We got a table spontaneously and were greeted warmly and humorously. We started with a solyanka that was second to none. The schnitzel and fried potatoes that followed were absolutely delicious and filled us up nicely. The little ones even got ice cream on top, and everyone was happy. The Pölkenhof in Quedlinburg is truly an insider tip. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, and plentiful, all at very fair prices. The chef deserves special mention—a warm personality you simply must get to know—as does the friendly staff. The restaurant itself is something truly special: lovingly decorated, with plenty of charm, and an atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. We'll definitely be back!

Wir waren gestern Abend im Pölkenhof essen. Es war von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute ein schöner Abend. Netter Service von allen Mitarbeitern, das Essen super lecker (ich hatte übrigens hausgemachte Wildschweinschnecke) und frisch zubereitet. Das Maß Bier für 6€ ist wohl unschlagbar und das tolle Ambiente tut sein Übriges zum Wohlfühlen. Wir können einen Besuch nur empfehlen.

Five of us ate there yesterday and had a fantastic time. The "Harzlich Willkommen" greeting alone was fantastic. The food was amazing; we had solyanka and spiced meat for starters. Afterwards, everyone had a Harz schnitzel. We were thrilled. We'd love to come back.

We happened upon the Pölkenhof purely by chance and didn't regret it for a second. The food is super delicious and freshly cooked, as they don't have a microwave! The service was also fantastic, always with a funny saying and helpful in choosing dishes. The price/performance ratio is perfect and commendable. The courtyard is very idyllic. We were more than full thanks to the very generous portions and can recommend the Pölkenhof with a clear conscience.

He gives great recommendations; we were absolutely thrilled. The food was incredibly delicious both days and highly recommended. If we come back to Quedlinburg, we know where to eat.

Quaint restaurant, friendly service, and delicious food. The four of us went there a few times and always felt very comfortable. When it wasn't too busy, we heard a poem or two by Heinz Erhardt recited. It was a lot of fun. Thanks again!! We really enjoyed our stay. Of course, I can recommend the Pölkenhof in Quedlinburg! I spent the last two hours with my group from Grimma in the Pölkenhof's outdoor seating area. We've known each other since our school days together, at least 48 years ago. But why am I writing this? I/we have rarely laughed so much; the chemistry with Mr. Hohmann was instant. According to him, he looks like his mother-in-law, but he can't deny a little bit of Karl Marx. Oh, and by the way: the food, as well as the drinks, made from 90% local produce, were, quite simply, SUPER! It's a shame we're leaving for Grimma tomorrow. But despite the 138 km, I'll be back and will warmly recommend the Pölkenhof to all my friends from Muldental and Leipzig. Of course, I "have to" give the restaurant the highest number of stars: ☆☆☆☆☆ A good landmark for tourists who, despite using a navigation system, find Pölkenstrasse with the reviewed "Pölkenhof" is the imposing St. Nikolai Church with its twin towers. This church is less than 250 meters from the restaurant.

We had dinner at the Pölkenhof restaurant. It was okay. The waiter seemed very stressed but still friendly. The waiter was always attentive. It's more for hungry, beer-thirsty men than for fine dining.

A spontaneous stop on a hot day. Lured by the view of the backyard. An inviting beer garden with live music. They played old hits. Lovely. Enjoyed their own shandy (beer with lime...never heard of it before 😃) with ice cubes. Later, a plate of solyanka. Very tasty. The owner was very attentive and witty. We really enjoyed it!! We'd love to come back next time we're in Quedlinburg. Highly recommended 👍🏻

What a lovely evening at the Pölkenhof. After a long hike, we stopped by the Pölkenhof. Great food, fair prices, and a host who is second to none. World class! The highlight at the end were the two talking African grey parrots. Thank you.

Unfortunately, the visit was a disappointment. First, we were asked to leave a table that was supposedly reserved, but there was no sign. Then we had to wait a long time before we could order drinks, and then wait a long time again for them to arrive. We ordered food and waited again, only to be told the food was sold out. It was a shame, so we left.

Very pleasant atmosphere, pleasant staff, friendly, communicative, and accommodating. Here, you can really feel the "guest is king" motto! You feel very comfortable there. The food was both beautiful from the outside and absolutely delicious in the mouth! We'd gladly return!

We visited this quaint restaurant with eight friends and felt at home from the start. Our first impression of the owner was definitely misleading; he's a really funny guy who impressed us with his calm and cheerful manner. It's great that both the website and the owner themselves point out that you may have to wait a while for your food because all dishes are freshly prepared. The food was delicious and the portions generous. In the restaurant, you can meet Uschi the grey parrot and her sister. Unfortunately, Uschi wasn't in the mood to chat. At the bar, you'll find various games to pass the time or to keep the children entertained. The outdoor area in the courtyard is currently being renovated. We will definitely stop there again on our next visit to Quedlinburg. Thank you for the entertaining evening and the great food.

I can't say anything about the rooms. But the food is simply brilliant. You can't make a reservation without making a table reservation. The host is a real character. Friendly, quaint, a real character. Since the meal took a while, there was free schnapps. And everything in a very relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back on our next visit to Quedlinburg. Authentic, friendly and the food is very tasty, regional and explained in detail by the host.

A disaster for the food. After we opted for the bestseller, schnitzel with Harz cheese, the waiter said it had been copied many times but had never been equalled, we were excited. What came next was a lot but tasteless, and the wild boar sausage was absolutely dry; it could have been used as a fan. A complete disaster, a shame because the Bauernstube has cult status. The best thing was the Franconian beer on tap, and that in the Harz. The Solianka for 9 euros was okay. Card payments are not accepted at those prices. I wouldn't recommend it.

Four of us happened upon this rustic restaurant for a nightcap on May 16th and immediately booked a table for dinner the next day. The char and the farmer's breakfast were excellent. A big compliment also to the chef, whose down-to-earth sense of humor will always be remembered.

We ate at the Pölkenhof in the evening, and both the quality and the portion sizes impressed us. Everyone will find something to eat here, and the food tastes delicious. The host also offers well-founded recommendations for those undecided, and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. There's also a very good selection of regional specialties.

We were there on Holy Saturday and were able to reserve a table for two people for the evening at short notice in the morning. The host explained the dishes/specialties very well and ………. the Harzer schnitzel with fried potatoes was a culinary delight.

We were lucky and were able to enjoy the rustic atmosphere last Friday, even though we hadn't made a reservation. Were warmly welcomed and looked after. If you want something uncomplicated, tasty and relaxed, you've come to the right place. Man, we were doing well. Thank you again.

The two of us spontaneously went to the Pölkenhof farmhouse. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we got a table in no time and were nicely informed about food and drinks. The innkeeper has a nice sense of humor and takes good care of his guests. We had good conversations. There was even a little parrot show for the children at the next table with various information about these animals. The food and all the drinks we had are really recommended.

We were on the Harz monastery hiking trail and stayed overnight in Quedlinburg. It was easy to make a reservation by telephone. The atmosphere was very rustic, we were served quickly and friendly and didn't have to wait long for our food, which tasted very good. You really feel comfortable and welcome here and we will be happy to come back.

We remember the innkeeper most positively...a very nice and personable man who immediately gave us recommendations when we greeted us, both drinks and food. The food was very tasty and filling. We recommend it.

A recommendation brought us here and we were extremely pleasantly surprised by great service and absolutely delicious food. As an encore there was not only a small show with the gray parrot Uschi but also many wonderful stories from Quedlinburg's history. We would love to come back here.

Nice atmosphere with very tasty food and fair prices.

We ate at Pölkenhof for the second time and were very satisfied again. The service is personal and warm and the food is very good (we had homemade venison and wild boar bratwurst). The African gray parrots at the entrance are also great, and the host often takes them out of their cage to perform tricks.

We didn't use the room. We were there for dinner yesterday. Both the omelette and the wild boar sausage are very tasty. The beer was cold and tasted good. Always my pleasure. However, reservation is required in advance.
