Nice little family-run guesthouse. The rooms are big and tidy. The guesthouse is ideal as a starting point for hikes on the Jena Horizontale. The staff and the innkeepers are very nice and helpful. The food leaves nothing to be desired and is more than plentiful. Smaller portions are no problem either. The dishes are beautifully decorated and presented. You can see that it is made with love. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired and is also beautifully decorated. We felt very comfortable.

Maximum satisfaction. The restaurant has a wonderful approach to children - the little girl was immediately offered juice, crayons and paper for painting. Great food, very friendly staff. Such a family atmosphere. The breakfast is excellent, it is worth paying extra for it. If we go to Jena, we will definitely stay here.

We came here as a hiking group for 4 days. The guesthouse is in a perfect location to start the hikes to the Saale Horizontale. The food is particularly noteworthy. The food here is served with great attention to detail and very good taste. Large portions that can also be served as small ones without any problems. Vegetarians will also find something here 😊 The innkeepers and the entire team are very accommodating and always approachable. The Richter family runs the Pension am Berg right near the university clinic, beautifully located in a village structure. After a friendly welcome, we moved into our room. The bikes also had space in the previous, now unused guest room. Electricity connection was no problem. The entrance to the guesthouse needs a spring cleaning and can certainly be made more attractive. The same applies to the lounge area on the room floor. Not every guest needs Playboy to feel comfortable😊 The breakfast offering was very good according to the price. Thank you!

We stayed there for 1 night. The guesthouse is close to the university clinic, but still very quiet in Drackendorf. The reservation was made at very short notice on our part, but we were able to get a family room. The room was functional and completely adequately furnished. It was neat and clean. The breakfast was great. Something for every taste and lovingly prepared. The dinner in the restaurant was very good. The service was also great. Very friendly and accommodating. The entire team around the Richter family is doing a great job.👌 The outdoor terrace, designed with a lot of love, invites you to linger in a well-kept, wonderful atmosphere. The breakfast was so lovingly prepared that it was a joy to look at straight away in the morning and you didn't want to destroy the elaborate creations. The inn is very well maintained and has a good kitchen. Prices are okay. The guest house is right next door and the rooms are clean and well maintained.

We received very friendly service and advice on the design. All guests were able to stay overnight in the guesthouse and were satisfied with their rooms. Beautiful guesthouse on the outskirts of Jena. If you are looking for clean, relatively inexpensive guest rooms, you are well advised here. The staff is courteous and friendly. Fits. There is also nothing to complain about when it comes to food. Visually and taste-wise absolutely fine. The only thing I personally would have preferred was a regional supplier when it came to beer. It's just a matter of taste... Otherwise great.

We just had dinner at the “Wirt am Berg”, I have to say my expectations were exceeded! There was veal liver with mashed potatoes. Roasted to perfection and good meat. The mashed potatoes were homemade and also very tasty! I didn't know the idea of ​​serving the salad in a glass either, it's nice to look at and tastes very good, although I have to say that you have to like the combination with fruit and vegetables... but for me it's "really good"... thanks for that the culinary delight, I'll be back.

During the worst time of my life, I stayed here with the Richter family. I felt comfortable from the start. The breakfast is made with a lot of love and the guest is treated very well. The rooms offer everything you need. The balcony on the house offers the appropriate peace and time for relaxation. The restaurant offers something for every taste. After my stay of several weeks, I can't say what I liked best. The cheese spaetzle was phenomenal, the schnitzel, matched with a gravy, the homemade fries, the accompanying salad in a glass, also very lovingly and individually prepared - a culinary delight par excellence. The hash browns with feta cheese were a revelation. From a culinary point of view, I can only recommend this kitchen. The staff takes care of the guest and is open to all wishes. It is very friendly, attentive and professional. There was always time for a quick word. I wish the Richter family all the best, always satisfied guests and a team that stands behind them. Family room is nice and large and furnished with 80s charm, ideal for longer stays. The current offer with the snack bar in front of the restaurant is great, the burgers taste very tasty and the price-performance ratio for the portions is great.

Moderately friendly, key was missing when we arrived. Equipment in the kitchen was limited to a kettle and a sink - no stove and no coffee maker.

We were in the guesthouse on July 4th, 2020, were cycling and were looking for accommodation after 8 p.m. after a booked guesthouse was canceled. We were helped very quickly, the staff were very friendly, even though we only got there shortly before the end of work were. The rooms were nice and the breakfast was good. I can only recommend this guesthouse.

We visited the restaurant on December 26th, 2019. There were 5 dishes to choose from, which you had to choose and order 3 weeks in advance. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were seated at a table that was much too small. Then the fiasco began. As soon as we were seated, the menu sequence began in rapid succession. The distances between the individual courses were far too short. The height of unreasonableness was the venison goulash with three dumplings and three pieces of Brussels sprouts. The entire dish was served cold and the consistency of the goulash was like porridge. The beef fillet on the bed of vegetables (Leipziger Allerlei) also took some getting used to. The meat was tough like leather and could only be chewed under difficult conditions. Due to space constraints, the dessert was placed on a tea trolley right in front of the toilet door. The prices did not correspond to the quality of the food. 146 euros (4 people) for warmed up food is completely excessive and a disgrace. The second holiday Christmas dinner was a huge disappointment. Not recommendable!

My family and I were there for Christmas dinner on December 25th, 2019. We had nothing to complain about here. From a warm welcome and a small champagne to dessert, everything was great. My friend had the beef fillet and he raved about how good it was and my goose leg was also very, very tasty and the rest just looked good. In short, we found it very good and would be happy to come back.

We were there for Christmas dinner with 7 people on December 26th, 2019 and were super satisfied. We finished three courses in an hour and everything was delicious and lovingly prepared. The dessert in particular was not only delicious but also a feast for the eyes. There was beef fillet which was cooked to perfection, beautifully brown on the outside and super rosy on the inside. We also had goose with really tasty red cabbage and venison goulash. It was our first time for Christmas dinner and we will definitely be back next year!! Ordered a table on Christmas Day, waited 2 hours for the menu, food was cold, beef fillet was fried to death, game goulash was inedible, kitchen and service were completely overwhelmed for such a day, food was complained about in spades and was returned! NEVER AGAIN!!!

We were in this restaurant for “Christmas dinner” on December 25, 2019. You had to choose and order from 4 menu offerings 3 weeks in advance. Two rounds were planned for the day. Our lunch in the second round should be at 1 p.m. This seemed like a good solution for us to eat with friends and save ourselves having to work in the kitchen. The restaurant, which usually seats around 50 people, was filled with perhaps 100 guests today. In the second round. Some coats and jackets hung over the chairs because the coat hooks weren't enough. Christmas decorations in the room were poor and barely noticeable on the tables and tasteless. At around 1:30 p.m. you could unabashedly admire the dessert - in the hallway to the toilets. We received the starter soup around 2:30 p.m. The touted Parmesan sail didn't sail, but rather swam in the soup, some of which was already sinking. Finally, around 2:40 p.m., the main course. The goose leg was golden brown – like my black hat. The venison goulash made of easily countable medium and small pieces (i.e. more like ragout) was garnished with 2-3 “grilled” but ice-cold tomatoes with a stick and an equally cold-cooked pear with cranberry puree. The Brussels sprout side dish was also rather cold and hardly seasoned (there was no nutmeg at all). Heichelheimer dumplings are better than the ones on our plates. At our round table the 4 dinner plates were in the way; they protruded 5 cm over the edge of the table almost to the guests' stomachs. I imagine the size of this table is intended for one person to have breakfast. There was a bit of hay hanging over the edge of the glass on the dessert. Maybe it was a sprig of mint several hours ago. And that for €35! We've never eaten so badly for so much money. At around 3:30 p.m. we were allowed to pay while standing at the checkout. The tip was already included in the bill (instead of drinking one, I paid for two 0.3l waters for €2.80 each). Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until too late and therefore didn't complain. A disappointment for the guests, but a great deal for the landlord.
