Beautiful place, great food, great service. I had eggs for lunch (strammer max). A very special treat, not your average “egg lunch” at all!

Laden wirkt sehr stilvoll und schön eingerichtet. Jedoch sind die Preise viel zu hoch kalkuliert und man bekommt leider nur Softdrinks in 0,2l Flaschen für fast 4€. Zudem sind auch die Preise der Gerichte viel zu hoch. Die meisten Gerichte fangen bei 15€ an und die Portionsgröße ist dafür eine Frechheit. Man versucht hier wie ein trendiges Szenecafe zu wirken, doch leider mit mangelnder Qualität und mangelndem Service. Selbst in den angesagtesten Läden ob in Hamburg, Berlin oder Köln ist das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis um weiten besser als hier. Der Service geht weder auf Bestellungswünsche ein noch wird es nicht akzeptiert dass man gehen und nur die Getränke bezahlen nachdem nach fast 2 Stunden immer noch kein Essen auf dem Tisch stand. Alles in allem ein grauenhaftes Erlebnis.

I stayed here with my children and we found it very comfortable. The ambience is very nice. Modern and rustic at the same time, without being pretentious. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is very tasty, the many different mayonnaises have always been the symbol of Fritz Mitte. However, one star deducted because €4.50 for a 0.33l bottle of Fritz Limo is a bit cheeky.

We received a very warm welcome last weekend and were given a table straight away without a reservation, despite it being busy. The food and the subsequent brownie (recommendation!!!) were, as expected, extremely tasty, very fresh and attractively served. We were also served by the friendly Marie, so we felt very comfortable with you :)

I was with someone at Fritz Mitte. The service was friendly, the food was very tasty (I had brioche with salmon and two eggs with avocado, grilled tomato and bacon and my companions each had a sandwich) and was just the right size of full but not comatose. I will definitely eat at Fritz Mitte again!

Today we had a business lunch with a larger group. Unfortunately, the service was a bit forgetful and the fact that almost only drinks were served from bottles was relatively slow. The price for the tiny drinks, some of which were not served properly chilled, is disproportionately high (€4.50 for a 0.33 beer). The burgers and fries were okay, but unfortunately by no means anything special. Unfortunately, the portion size was also a bit small for most people at the table. Even the Philly steak sandwich didn't blow anyone away at the table. Many people then had to order dessert to fill them up. Unfortunately there's probably a lot of hype about... not much. But the ambience is right.

We were able to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary with brunch here and can highly recommend the breakfast selection. The price-performance ratio is perfect. The selection of food and drinks is satisfactory. The staff was very accommodating. We felt very comfortable and were happy about the little Easter surprise. We'd love to come back!

The food is really good and tasty - but unfortunately it's hardly possible to "have a quick lunch here" in the restaurant. We waited a good 45 minutes for our food, and the currywurst itself was only lukewarm. Other guests also had similarly long waiting times. Especially when I only have a short lunch break, the waiting time is simply too long. There would be a warning from the service regarding the vss. Nice waiting time. Then we would definitely have made a different decision today.

Unfortunately there is only one portion size available, which costs a completely overpriced 4.20 euros. An extra sauce 1.50 euros. The sauces are portioned. This has long since had nothing to do with the old FritzMitte.

To be honest, I was disappointed, there wasn't much to choose from in terms of burgers. Unfortunately there was nothing child-friendly either so it was just fries for the child. We had currywurst, it was ok, the best thing was the fries, which were very tasty. I wouldn't go in there again.

We had a lunch for 5 pax there last Sunday. We ordered a bottle of wine that turned out to be out of stock, so they suggest wine they had by the glass, at half the price of the one they did not have. We accepted, but when I checked the bill next day, I saw that they still charged me for the more expensive wine they had not had in stock. My two phone calls and an email to the restaurant manager have so far failed to resolve this issue 5 days later, even though the person on the phone assured me it would be dealt with immediately.

I ate there for the first time today. Table reserved in advance. Service is very polite and attentive. Menu is clear. The food was very tasty. Will definitely come back.

One of my favorite spots in Jena, especially if you are a foreigner nearly all the workers can speak perfect english and they are extremely friendly! Comfort food! Vegan options and for me the highlight is the decoration!! Pleace is really beautifully decorate with high ceilings!! TOP!!! I suggest to make reservations before you go!

Wir haben uns die Bewertungen im Vorfeld durchgelesen und müssen sagen, dass wir dieses ganz und gar nicht so erlebt haben (vermutlich war es ehemaliges Personal, entsprechend ist es schade, wenn man dann die Qualität des Essens in den Hintergrund rücken lässt- wenn auch verständlich) Unser Besuch war in allen Belangen sehr gut. Kurze Wartezeit und tolles Essen. Auch wenn der Preis den ein oder anderen abschrecken mag, so Kaninchen das Philly Sandwich empfehlen. Das Fleisch war zart und on point Medium gebraten. Zusammen mit den Schmorzwiebeln, den Paprika und dem Dressing war es ein Gaumenschmaus. Der Sprizz war auch super angerichtet. Klare Empfehlung ! Nochmal zurück zum Personal. Unsere Bedienung war freundlich, unaufdringlich und aufmerksam…. Und das obwohl wir etwas versteckt gesessen haben 👍🏻

We received a very friendly welcome and unobtrusive, professional service. This has actually become rare in the catering industry. The vegetarian burger was very good and the “Philly” sandwitch with steak strips was really great. We will be back definitely.

The food here is really excellent. It has little to do with the original Fritz Mitte, because there is much more here than fries and currywurst. A first-class Reuben sandwich, for example. The website has an elegant design with lots of high-resolution photos and a new menu width with salads with quinoa, hummus, as well as club house sandwiches, buttermilk fried chicken burgers and other nonsense that I not only don't expect in a chip shop, but simply also Yes, it all looks pretty, but the taste of the food doesn't do justice to the outrageous prices. Apparently some hip start-up books or day courses in the VHS say that this is how modern franchising works. NO! IT DOES NOT WORK! You are a chip shop and not a trendy Parisian café! People come to you because they want the awesome Belgian fries with the Berlin sausage; plus the fantastic mayonnaises. Now I can't even get a small fries for in between meals because - at least in Schlossgasse - there is only one size and at 4 euros in portion size and the mini blob of mayo in the bowl it's no longer convincing. Due to the breadth of the range, your core business - the fries - also had to suffer in terms of price. The fact that you don't even seem to dare to add the prices to your dishes on the website also says a lot. Just too expensive for such hip demands. Yes, all of this may sound harsh. But: it's just an opinion. And that means: go back to your roots and simply specialize in mayo, sausage and sauces.

Excellent food and service. From burgers to desserts and coffee, even the juice felt a bit special. Love the decor and the very nice staff :) surprisingly good experience compared to most other eatries these days in Jena. I hope they maintain this quality.

Ich habe vor Ort gegessen um die Mittagszeit. Das Angebot war top, es gab nicht nur Burger und Pommes, sondern auch Waffeln, Sandwich und strammer Max - das hat mich positiv überrascht. Komme garantiert wieder.

Haben 2 Curry Würste mit Pommes bestellt, aber haben leider nur die Pommes bekommen.

Leider bin ich als kleine, dünne Person von einem Burger für fast 17€ nicht satt geworden. „Fine Dining“ auf Fastfoodniveau, aber Preise wie bei den ganz großen. Schade, dass die lokalen Buden Jenas auch zu kapitalistischen Großkonzernen werden wollen.

Hier hat es mir sehr gut gefallen. Angenehme freundliche Mitarbeiter:innen und die Hummus und Falafel Bowl war einfach fantastisch. Vielen Dank für den schönen und wohlschmeckenden Nachmittag und absolute Empfehlung.

Mich persönlich hat das Essen nicht voll überzeugt. Die Portionsgröße für die Currywurst war zu klein. Die Pommes waren viele kleine verbrannte Randstücke . Ich weiß aber das sie es besser können.

Moin..wir waren heute bei euch das erste mal essen und wir fühlten uns sofort sehr willkommen. Der nette Kellner hat uns an unseren Tisch gebracht und hat uns super nett bedient und uns die Spezialitäten des Hauses nachegebracht. Super schneller persönlicher Service und das Essen war echt mega lecker. Ich hatte die Currywurst mit einem Salat des Hauses, dazu Pommes mit einer extrem leckeren Mayo...die ihr selber macht...Hut ab...das Essen war echt SEHR lecker. Wir kommen im nächsten Urlaub sehr gern wieder! Euer Personal ist mega nett ...danke nochmal. Euer Restaurant ist sehr gepflegt und mega stylisch eingerichtet. Heute, am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag war unsere Familie, 10 Personen, 4 Generationen zu essen dort. Wir waren sehr angenehm überrascht. Essen gut, die Bedienung ausgezeichnet, umsichtig und sehr liebevoll. Es war ein sehr schöner Tag. Vielen Dank an das Personal.

Das Essen war lecker aber für die Portionsgröße sehr teuer. Leider nicht viele vegane Alternativen.

Der Brunch war wirklich ein cooles Erlebnis – unglaublich lecker und abwechslungsreich. Obwohl ich normalerweise keine vegetarischen Gerichte esse, hat mich der Brunch mit Kürbis einfach umgehauen. Und der Brunch mit Lachs und Kaviar? Absolut köstlich! Eine Empfehlung ist definitiv der Shake mit Joghurt und Hafermilch – eine erfrischende Ergänzung zu den verschiedenen Aromen. Dieser Ort hat es geschafft, selbst für jemanden, der normalerweise nicht auf vegetarische Speisen steht, eine fantastische Auswahl anzubieten. Ein Brunch-Erlebnis, das man unbedingt ausprobieren sollte!

Normalerweise schmeckt das Essen bei Fritz Mitte sehr gut. Die Pommes sind super und die Getränke schön gekühlt. Leider waren die letzten 2 Besuche nicht wirklich zufriedenstellend. Der "Chicken Caesar Salad" ist kein wirklicher Caesar Salat. Das Dressing wässrig, kaum Parmesan, Champignons, die nicht dazu gehören, kein Geschmack und das für stolze 17 EUR. Das Crème Brûlée war kalt und flockig. Man konnte es nicht essen.

Ein extrem gelungener Abend. Ein super Angebot an Speisen. Von Vorspeise bis Nachspeise alles sehr lecker. (Mein persönlicher Favorit ist der Buttermilk Burger) Preisleistungsverhältnis ist wirklich super. Wer gute Burger für faire Preise möchte ist hier definitiv richtig! Wir werden immer wieder kommen ☺️

Abendessen anlässlich des Geburtstags meines Partners verlief alles andere als Entspannt und schön. Essen für 3 Personen bestellt. 2 Personen bekamen das Essen vom Nachbartisch hingestellt und eine Person eine Bestellung mit Zutaten, die vorab explizit bei der Bestellung abgewählt worden. Alles in allem ewig gewartet. Keine Korrektur der falschen Zuordnung des Essens. Eine kurze Erklärung endet damit, dass die Kellnerin nie wieder an dem Abend in der nähe unseres Tisches bediente. Niemand kam zum abräumen oder für Aufnahme einer weiteren Bestellung z.B Dessert oder Getränke. So haben wir uns das nicht vorgestellt. Fehler können passieren. Aber dieser Umgang war einfach unprofessionell und eine Blamage. Ein Tipp.... eine Entschuldigung und ein Getränk aufs Haus oder Gutschein für eine zweite Chance wäre sinnvoller, als sich zu verstecken und damit Kunden zu verlieren. So kann ich den Laden leider Niemanden empfehlen.
