A very nice restaurant with a great selection of food, including more specialized dishes. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the popular currywurst didn't blow us away. It tasted rather standard, and there wasn't much on the plate, which meant the price wasn't justified. The other dishes were good, though.

It was a truly excellent experience; we'll definitely be back. The food was very good and didn't take long to arrive, and the service was simply excellent.

Which is why it's unfortunately not always possible to get a seat. Especially on weekends. Everything's fully booked in the evenings. The Wagyu burger is large and voluminous. The surf & turf burger is also large. Homemade sauces for the fries. Many of them are also locally sourced. Delicious. (A bit loud in the afternoon.) I'd be happy to go again.

We were told upon arrival that the kitchen was very busy and it might take a while. But leaving the guests completely stranded for so long wasn't fun. A real shame! For me, Fritz Mitte Fine Food in Schloßgasse is the place to go in Jena when it comes to really good burgers. The quality is top - the burgers taste simply great: juicy, perfectly seasoned and prepared with love. I find it particularly positive that they ask about the desired cooking level - this is by no means a given everywhere and shows how much value is placed on individuality and taste. Special requests are also implemented without any problem - no matter whether it's extra toppings, no sauce or special requests - the guest is really taken into account here. The staff are consistently friendly, attentive and make you feel welcome straight away. The service is fast, but still personal - you can tell that there are professionals at work here who enjoy their job. In short: If you love burgers in Jena, you should definitely stop by Fritz Mitte Fine Food. Absolute recommendation!

I think the prices, especially the side dishes, are not justified, you have to additionally order sides, and they're very small compared to the price. Well decorated restaurant. It's tasty but the price is a bit in the higher segment for burgers, fries etc. I find the portion sizes for the side dishes to be too small for the price. Regarding the service: Unfortunately, my drink was forgotten on several visits. Unfortunately my steak was rare. I ordered medium/well. Although it was put back on the grill afterwards, I had to wait a long time for my steak. Unfortunately the creme brulée was below average.

Unfortunately I have to say that the price-performance ratio is no longer right! On my first visit, the vegan cake stand was a feast for the eyes and more than plentiful. On the second visit it was no longer so well stocked. On the third visit it was already very clearly stocked and not "just freshly prepared" but rather prepared and ready in advance to ensure quick service. On my fourth and last visit it was borderline and no longer satisfactory, there was very little seasonal fruit on the vegan cake stand, the avocado cream was too chunky, the glass with the lemon curd was only half full. There was also something to complain about with the two classic cake stands. On one of the cake stands the cheese had dried out on the sides, meaning it was no longer fresh, and on both cake stands the seasonal fruit was completely missing. We asked for this and were not satisfied with a ridiculous little bowl, not enough for two people. It's really a shame that things have dropped off so much, you can overlook it for a moment, but when you realize that with each visit the quantity decreases but the price doesn't change or adjust, you feel a bit "ripped off". Otherwise the atmosphere is very nice and cozy, the service is very nice and open, unfortunately my request for a table on the upper floor was not fulfilled because there was a lack of service staff! I accepted and accepted this with understanding.
