Seit nunmehr über 17 Jahren bin ich treuer und begeisterter Gast des „Stilbruch“ in Jena und werde dies auch weiterhin sein und bleiben, da mir in all den Jahren, alle meine Wünsche bisher zur vollsten Zufriedenheit erfüllt worden sind und ich auch in all den Jahren von der hohen Qualität der Speisen (ganz speziell der Frische von Obst und Gemüse) begeistert und beeindruckt bin! Egal, ob zum Frühstück, zum Mittagessen, zum Abendbrot oder auch zu Familienfeierlichkeiten war ich/waren wir stets rundum begeistert!!👍 Ich kann mich für die stets freundliche, schnelle und unkomplizierte Bedienung in all den vielen Jahren nur vielmals bei Euch bedanken und sagen, macht weiter so!!!!👍

I had breakfast here today. I was given a very friendly welcome and quickly assigned a seat. The waiter didn't wait long. The cafe and food came quite quickly. I chose 3 scrambled eggs with ham and tomatoes, along with a side salad, wholemeal rolls and butter. It tasted very good and was appetizingly prepared. I also liked the interesting ambience of the restaurant. I'd love to come by again :-).

Food is freshly prepared, so we were happy to wait, almost an hour.

Hallo Wir waren auf der durchreise nach Dresden vor 2 Tagen. Hatten uns das Gastronomie Kaffee in Jena rausgesucht zum frühstücken. Von aussen sehr schön , von innen echt Rustikal mit guten Speisen Angebot. Bestellten Frühstück für 2 Personen. Die Frühstücksplatte war gut bestückt es fehlte zur Saison Salat Blatt und ein,zwei Tomatenscheiben. Bei dem Preis sollte es doch möglich sein. Es waren dabei 2 kleine weiche Doppelbrötchen, 1 Mehrkorn Brötchen und 2 kleine dunkle Mini Chrosaints. Die Brötchen für 2 Personen zu wenig bei der Beilage Wurst/ Käseplatte. Bestellten noch 2 Doppelbrötchen nach. Als dann die Rechnung kam musste ich erstmal kräftig aufstoßen. *** Wucher*** Für 2 weiche kleine Doppelbrötchen nahm das Gastronomie Unternehmen 5.40 € Also pro Stück 2.70€. ***Eine absolute Frechheit und Abzocke.*** Bei Edeka gibt es aus der SB- Klappe schöne knusprige Doppelbrötchen für 0.40 € das Stück. Einfach enttäuschend. Man sollte dort nix nachbestellen. Schade.

Scrambled eggs were good, fruits were fresh however, the baguette and the croissant were stale.

A nice café at the beginning of a small alley. Large breakfast selection. Friendly and quick service. The Sunday breakfast for 2 is highly recommended! The homemade lemonades are also particularly delicious.

A pity! Unfortunately, the quality of the breakfast and friendliness of the wait staff have steadily declined in recent years. Once THE place for a great breakfast, other restaurants have now caught up or overtaken in terms of creativity and quality. Unfortunately, crepes and the like are only available from midday onwards. The friendliness of the service was also rather average on our last visit. A roll was missing from our large group, but we didn't notice it until some time later. When asked whether this roll could still be brought, the waitress said that she could no longer understand whether a roll was really missing. So she just offered to buy us a roll. A pity! Next year we will look for a different location for our annual meeting.

A restaurant where you will never be disappointed. Always excellent, delicious food, friendly service, great ambience and a good price-performance ratio. Simply to feel good.

We sat outside, ate well and were served friendly, quickly and perfectly.

If you're there on time when the store opens, you'll get a spot outside. For us, a break in style is always part of a visit to Jena! Super fast service, excellent and rich breakfast and with the many variations and options for ordering there is definitely something for everyone! Toilets are located in the basement and are therefore not barrier-free. The toilets themselves are very clean and well equipped.

Wir waren spontan mit 2 Kids und einem Kinderwagen zum Brunchen. Es war ein ganz toller Service. Für alle individuellen Anliegen von uns wurde sehr aufmerksam und wirklich freundlich zugewandt eine unkomplizierte Lösung gefunden. Das ist echt selten in Deutschland und ist uns sehr positiv aufgefallen. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, wie immer🙂

A wonderful start to the day with breakfast and great service

Ein ganz wunderbares Frühstück- ausgesprochen nette, umsichtige Bedingung und eine wirklich schöne Atmosphäre! Gern mal wieder!

We treated ourselves to Sunday breakfast at the end of the semester. When we arrived, we were immediately offered the opportunity to put together tables; the outdoor area is also suitable for very large groups. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Particularly noteworthy is Jan, who served us excellently.

I tried again after several years. But unfortunately nothing has changed. Bad service and even worse food. Never again. Sorry, the people of Jena don't understand why they all go there. Probably due to a lack of alternatives...

Unfortunately we couldn't rate the food because we didn't get a table despite making a reservation. We showed up 10 minutes before making our reservation and found that although there were 5 free tables, none of them seemed to be intended for us. We also find a one-hour time slot for telephone reservations rather unfavorable. It may be more customer-friendly to switch to online reservation systems so that such a situation can be avoided in the future.

Simply good. Friendly service and good food 👍. In terms of price, I would say it's still within reasonable limits for Jena. For the main course we had Mediterranean vegetable rice and spaghetti 🍝 a la Chef.

Nice place to stay. Waiters always on the go, as if rushed but friendly. Eat a lot on the plate and eat more lightly. Recommendation

Pleasant surroundings, nice service and good food

Went to Stilbruch for lunch today. With 2 children and baby. The food was great. The service was super friendly and accommodating. Breastfeeding wasn't a problem either. The children were also provided with toys to tide them over until the food arrived. We were very satisfied overall. Price-performance fits. Staff unbeatable. We always enjoy going there again and again.

I was recently on business with my team from the Philippines in a style break, as it is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Jena. As always, we received a super friendly welcome, the menus were in English and everyone was pleasantly surprised that the portions were so large. All in all a great evening and I can only recommend it.

Never again! After about an hour, the rump steaks we ordered arrived for €38 each. Not only was the food lukewarm, but one steak was tough as a shoe sole in places. Both dishes were returned. After about 5 minutes the same plate came back with the statement "The chef has reheated the steaks" These were actually a little warmer on the surface. The potatoes get colder after this time. I thought I was in the wrong movie. Conclusion; Goodbye forever!

I've eaten here with my boyfriend several times and we enjoy it every time. Be it a chili or a gigantic salad - the food was convincing every time. The service also does the same, because the service has been excellent every time and we always enjoy coming back. The selection of food and drinks is varied and the presentation of the dishes is really nice. The ambience is a mixture of a classic restaurant and a cozy pub.

Here you can still experience Thuringian hospitality!!! Everything fits, service, value for money and the staff is top!! We were looked after by Martha for 2 days in the truest sense of the word. Help with choosing drinks, with food advice... and yes, there are pensioner portions. You can hardly do the normal ones. Oh well, you are also welcome with a dog, hard to believe, but someone asked if I could bring the dog something to drink? Yes, there is still something like that!!! Cool gastronomy is a must when visiting Jena. The breakfast is great and affordable

Food was weak. The starter was good, but main course was obviously made from the cheapest ingredients that could be found wholesale. With the wrong ingredients you end up with the wrong food. Anyone who wants to offer Italian, Mexican, Asian and German cuisine is a bit suspicious to me anyway, but they should at least be able to use the original recipe and not use cheap cubes of bacon instead of pancetta or guanciale. It didn't taste nearly as good as it should. My recommendation: if you want to eat well, it's better to go somewhere else in Jena. There are Italians that use the right ingredients and for all other styles there are restaurants that are probably better in this area for the same or lower price. Service wasn't exactly friendly either, but rather grumpy and you felt a bit unwanted. But I could have overlooked that with high-quality food.

I tired a juice from basil and mint and never thought it would be that good

I heard about this place as one of the best in Jena, both for food and location along with its old history. I enjoyed it a lot and the food was really good. Food portions were huge, so be prepared :) Moreover, the staff was friendly and quick. You can stay there for a long period of time eat, talk and enjoy the atmosphere. Fully recommended for a visit with family or friends.

Es sollte ein gemütlicher Abend mit einer Arbeitskollegin werden. Alles fing super an. Unsere Kellnerin kam zum Tisch und fragte ob es noch mehr werden oder nur wir zwei. Darauf hin sagte ich, dass wir auch gerne an einen kleineren Tisch gehen können, da zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch sehr viel frei war. Das wäre nicht nötig. Eine Stunde später sah das ganze schon anders aus. Auf einmal war der Tisch vorbestellt, und leider auch kein anderer mehr frei. Mit der aroganten Antwort;; Ich kenne ja ihre Abendpläne nicht;; wurden wir dann vor vollendete Tatsachen gestellt. Nicht zum ersten Mal ist diese Kellnererin sehr arrogant und äußerst unhöflich. Nicht das sie nur uns anging, nein auch der Nachbartisch, der uns netterweise seine Plätze angeboten hat wurde auch gleich noch mit maßgeregelt. Solch eine Person hat in der Gastronomie nichts zu suchen. Von gastfreundlichkeit und Empathie keine Spur. Wenn ich als Gast dermaßen vorgeführt werde ist das alles Andere als angenehm. Aber zum Glück gibt es ja noch die netten männlichen Kollegen, denen das ganze Schauspiel sehr unangenehm war. Uns wurde dann ein kleiner Tisch durch den Kollegen reserviert und wir konnten unseren Abend mit diesem Kollegen genießen. Wir sind quasi Stammkunden ein bis zwei Mal im Monat sind wir auf jeden Fall im Stilbruch in den Sommermonaten noch öffter. Jetzt werde ich vorher schauen welche Kellner/innen vor Ort sind. Denn auf diese Dame kann ich sehr gut verzichten. Sie sollte mal an ihrer Art arbeiten, wie gehe ich mit meinen Mitmenschen um.

Great food, but the selection of food and drinks is rather higher priced. We were on the first floor and had to struggle with the lack of oxygen there. The service was competent, quick and friendly. The seasoned meat was great and tasted like old times. Conclusion: Nothing for those on a tight budget, but I would go there again because of the food and then when I'm really hungry to try a €38 steak.

Was there for the first time with my sister and the children. Great atmosphere, super nice staff. Price performance is also completely okay. Food was super delicious. Sat on the second floor in a small but cozy alcove. We felt very comfortable. Definitely want to come again. That much is already certain.

We come once a year and this year we are very disappointed with the breakfast and the size of the rolls, which are getting smaller and smaller. We won't be back... the service was so slow... unfortunately no longer satisfactory for the prices.

An atmospheric restaurant that I found while looking for dinner in Jena. It's a 3-story building, but there aren't many seats, so if you're a large group, it's probably best to make a reservation. You can get an English menu just by asking. I don't usually drink alcohol, but apparently they had beer from a nearby brewery, so I decided to try it. Of course it's delicious! ! For the meal, I had rice topped with creamed meat and mushrooms, which was also delicious. It would have been nice to add a little salt and pepper. I felt it was a bit of a hurdle for tourists, but thanks to the kind staff, I was saved.

The restaurant has a rustic atmosphere. Coffee and especially the cake were simply average but reasonable in terms of price. The service was friendly but rather “cozy” and the store was only moderately busy. If you like it quiet, this is the place to be on Friday afternoons.
